Love this place! A lovely atmosphere, great food, good value, super staff and all for a great cause. What's not to like? Thank you, the breakfast was spot on 👍

Only came for drinks but staff very friendly and service was fast with a lovely space. I’m coeliac and noticed that they do gluten free breakfasts, sandwiches, toast and falafel!

Ultra-friendly and welcoming cafe. I was only there for breakfast (twice) but there's plenty of choice on the menu, and the staff are about the nicest you could ever find. It's just a place with a really good vibe.

Great food, cheery and enthusiastic service, plenty of room, big mugs of tea/coffee, and all for a good cause. What’s not to like?

No te pierdas este encantador café de caridad. Espacioso, limpio, familiar y apto para perros. Precio muy favorable para el cliente y muy diferente a las cadenas High Street. La comida es excelente y el café viene con tazas tamaño cubo. Volveremos.

New to Nottingham, found this on a quick Google search, fabulous place- quality food cooked beautifully. The bonus is it’s charity based. Decor and ambiance feels good. Avoid ‘spoons and head here. Service is attentive & pleasant.

Lots of great tasty vegan options! It had nearly the same amount of vegan options as carnivore, which was really nice. Really delicious food with great portions sizes and really reasonably priced! Super friendly and polite staff! The atmosphere was really chill and nice. I'll definitely be going back when in Nottingham, it's a hidden gem I also really like how the money is supporting a good cause and helping people get back on their feet! Great place :)

Literally the perfect breakfast after a gig at the Motorpoint Arena. Server was really nice and friendly (should have asked for a name to put here but unfortunately for us all, I am a fool. Was a gingery-blondey girl Wednesday at midday😅) Food was QUICK. Legit stunned by the speed. And it was just perfect. Filling, just the right amount of everything. Mocha absolutely slapped too. Literally just perfect all-round.

Fin de semana necesitando un buen desayuno en lugar de la opción habitual del hotel. Llegó Vegan stack, no es lo que esperaba. Es enorme... y tan bonito. Fue bien con un café con leche de avena. Además, esta es una organización benéfica que repone el alma y el estómago.

Nice food but we got accused of trying to make our own breakfast even though we ordered a main each and we only wanted a side of sausage / hash and toast to share . Even though it states on the menu you can indeed order sides WITH a main meal which we did. Maybe you need to fix that error.

Perfect place for an English breakfast for brunch. The decor was really neat and staff very friendly. The food was of really high quality and a good portion for the price. Big shout out also to the milkshakes which my boyfriend loved!

¡Gran hallazgo! Este café de empresa social sirve un menú pequeño pero sabroso servido por el personal encantador y servicial. Tuve una envoltura tostada y sopa para el almuerzo y fue abundante y delicioso. La sopa de verduras del día estaba deliciosa. El lugar perfecto para el almuerzo.

Café y desayuno de buena calidad (un montón de opciones! ) y una bienvenida muy cálida por parte del personal. Nos alojamos en Nottingham para el fin de semana y disfrutamos de nuestro primer viaje aquí tanto que volvimos al día siguiente también.

Can't recommend this place enough. Lovely atmosphere, staff are so friendly and welcoming, The food and drink is great and there are options for everyone . Most of all, it supports a wonderful cause! Second time coming here (and second visit to Nottingham ) . Definitely give this place a visit ! 💫

Had the vegan stack and vegan salted caramel milkshake and both were excellent! Really nice to see equal space for meat/veggie/vegan on the menu.

Fantastic food, the fry up was delicious but not greasy, the white chocolate mocha was indulgent, and the ethos of the cafe is fantastic, with profits going to a great cause. Bloody good grub!

Great spot for some breakfast in the heart of Nottingham. Excellent vegan and vegetarian options available. Staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. Recommend the smoothies for a nice boost to the start of your day.

Stumbled across So Bar looking for a Sunday morning breakfast after a day at Trent Bridge. Looked good with a good menu but the food and staff were a level above. Absolutely fantastic, the food was exceptional and the service, quick, friendly and fun. 100% recommend it. It was only as we sat there we realised it is a charity providing opportunities and support for people overcoming addiction. That just made it better. Well worth the trip!

In Nottingham for the day and was after somewhere with an all day full English breakfast. Staff super friendly and welcoming. Food was delicious. The toast was the best I’ve had. Highly recommend.

Went for breakfast around 11am, there was plenty of seating available and the menu is straightforward. 🥚 Had one of the specials, cheese omelette, and it came with some crispy onions - a nice touch! The egg/cheese ratio was great. 🥑 Had the avocado smoothie as well, very nicely balanced and real smoothie consistency (no ice crystals or too thin from the apple juice it's blended with) Nice music playlist, a great spot to chat, work, or relax. And you fund a charity! 😊

Esta visita fue para el desayuno para un grupo de 9 adultos y nos acomodaron amablemente en poco tiempo. El café estaba muy limpio y tenía un ambiente muy agradable. La comida y las bebidas del desayuno llegaron muy rápido, eran deliciosos y a un precio razonable. Recuerde mirar el tablero de ofertas ya que estos mejoran las opciones de menú. El personal era muy servicial y eficiente y sin duda volveremos la próxima vez que estemos en la ciudad.

Had a pretty good veggie breakfast here, not keen on the tinned tomatoes however. Everything else very good. Proper veggie sausage, not fake meat!

I'd heard about this place years ago at Addaction in Grantham, I don't often travel to Nottingham but I'm glad I gave this place a try. The food was great, the staff were friendly and helpful and the place looks good, both decor and cleanliness. I'll be travelling to Nottingham more for appointments and Café Sobar will always be my first stop.

Great for vegans, my favourite is the muffin stack! Tasty food, decent prices, service is always excellent, atmosphere bustling but not loud. I come here about once a month to work, there's a bench along the side wall where I can settle in for a morning without taking up tables and there's plenty to fuel me - coffee, cakes, milkshakes, breakfast, lunch and loads of vegan options. They have comfy booths too if you're in a group.

Breakfast is possibly the best in Nottingham, The staff are very welcoming and the food is not you average nasty yellow sausage and hard bacon. It can be hard to get a sit so always best to pre book for a space.

I visited here spontaneously today. I hadn’t intended to visit but found myself hungry before visiting the Playhouse. I’m so glad I did! Super efficient waiting staff - and a very friendly welcome at the till when ordering. Food served within a very reasonable time. My falafel wrap with a ‘soupaccino’ was delicious and the coffe was hot and damned good! Served with a smile, too. Lovely atmosphere with great tunes being played (not too loudly!). I’ll definitely revisit next time I’m in town.

Thought I would try breakfasts advertised opening at 0830. Arrived and clearly not open - open times on door stated 1000 for Wednesday- went elsewhere

Been meaning to come here for ages for personal reasons mainly. Anyway we popped in after I ran the Nottingham 10K and I ate what was probably the best Full English I have had in ages. Probably the best in the City Centre. The service was friendly and welcoming, the pricing wasn't too bad and place was light and colourful. The full english hit the spot. If I was going to be super picky, I would say it needed more mushrooms but hey! Absolutely fantastic!

this place is fabulous, airey,light, spacious, staff are so friendly and great to converse with, beautiful confectionary and cakes. Artist has an art exhibition on display inside worth checking out. This cafe is doing great things to rehabilitate folks who havent had the best of lives so far - well done in all you do, we'll be back.

Stumbled across this place whilst shopping with my mum and was over the moon to find an amazing sober space!! Super warm and friendly, the food was amazing and presented beautifully. We both had hot chocolate which was delicious. It’s so important to have sober venues for people in recovery. Well done!

Very nice dog friendly cozy cafe! The service was top notched and lots of seatings inside and great atmosphere! A variety of nibbles including vegan options! They even have a QR code scan ordering (with online payment) at the seating so you don’t even need to go and order at the counter if you don’t wanna! Will definitely go back again!

We had a wonderful breakfast this morning. We had to wait a few minutes for a table as it was super busy. Menu great! They had the two things I wanted. Chai Latte and Vegan breakfast. My husband ordered a full English. You order at the Till and while I waited I eyed the wide variety of homemade cakes. They looked incredible so I added a couple of Bakewell slices to my order to take away! Our table was cleaned and our hot drinks arrived quickly. Breakfast took a little while to arrive. We weren’t in a hurry so we sat back and enjoyed the busy atmosphere. It’s a really light and airy big space and tables well spread out so very comfortable. Our breakfasts arrived on large white plates. We were both very happy with our food. Hot and well cooked. The vegan breakfast included spinach and mushrooms. Seriously good! I was saying to my husband this is a good 9/10 breakfast and I’m going to give them a review. We then spoke to the waitress who explained the ethos of the cafe. She had been homeless and an alcoholic. The cafe gave her and every single person in the cafe training and employment. The service was faultless. Everything is clean and comfortable, staff friendly and efficient, and made us really happy.

Excellent white hot chocolate. Food brought out to other tables looked good. Will be going back to enjoy a meal here.
