Charlie was a great help serving us and the bartender was lovely. We got the tofu and chips and the tofu roast dinner and both enjoyed it - we hope to come back soon :))

What a find, a Google search came up with this gem of a location for vegan food which allows dogs, excellent service and amazing food look at my pictures and they taste as they look beautiful and great value for money, staff friendly, helpful and polite, everything is clean and tidy, I only had a Pepsi with my food but it was good quality, can't wait to visit again and try something else on the menu

We stumbled across this pace when searching for vegan restaurants in Nottingham. It turned out they had merged with the Pricly Pear restaurant. The food was fine. They have a reasonable number of plant-based meals. The portions were also decent. The ambience was also great. We would happily return here in future.

Superb service and seriously delicious vegan food. The pub has a really nice vibe. I’ll be back next time I’m in Notts.

Amazing food, all plant based, I tried the tofish and chips, best I've ever had, and very reasonably priced too.

Popped in for pudding, which was lovely. I was very pleased to find somewhere serving vegan ice-cream in the evening. The rest of the menu looks good, so I hope to come back.

A really great student pub and also good to visit when not a student! Really like the quizzes that are held here.

Visited here on Friday for lunch with my sister. We're both vegan and have been wanting to come for ages. To say we were spoilt for choice would be an understatement. Took us ages to decide what to have. We opted for the Doner Party to share and loaded jerk fries. Absolutely delicious and clearly freshly cooked. Portions were very generous, too. Also noticed there were quite a few gluten-free options. Staff were really friendly too. Would 100% recommend any will definitely be returning!

Situated on the Masfield Road, the Golden Fleece surprised me.  The interior was lovely and they even managed to squeeze in a roof garden to catch those sun Ray's.  Nice selection of craft beers on offer.

Great atmosphere. Staff was really friendly and happy to answer our questions regarding the menu. Food was on point.... I could have eaten that again, great portions.... FOOD is absolutely amazing. We have come here twice already and it won't be the last time 😊

Hello, I came in yesterday with a friend and I wanted to let you know we had THE BEST service from one of your bar people. They were so lovely, attentive, caring and wonderful. I didn't catch their name but we went there around 2ish for food (which I want to add was incredible, some of the most delicious vegan food I've ever had). Top vegan pub , so good to not have to worry about what’s safe for vegans to eat & drink .

First time there tonight, could have done without the hassle of finding a parking space and navigating Nottingham but the evening, meal and customer service made it worth while. Well be getting a taxi next time we go but will Def be back.

We came here after a show at the Theatre Royal as we were looking for vegan food. We were really impressed with the kind staff and good quality food. Will definitely be going back next time we're this side of the Midlands.

Love spending my afternoons here with a good coffee and delicious vegan breakfast. Service is always so welcoming

I've been to the Golden Fleece a few times for drinks and this was the first time I'd been for a meal. The food was amazing - I had the fajita burger & kimchi fries. Anyone would enjoy the food here, whether vegan or not. They also always have a great selection of drinks and a welcoming / warm atmosphere.

A fully vegan menu, delicious food, interesting decor and a friendly and relaxed atmosphere make this venue worth a recommendation. My only concern: a selection of board games is offered, and when enjoyed by a group of other guests at the neighbouring table, it may occasionally result in a lot of noise, so consider your (or your companions'...) level of grumpiness before visiting.

Brilliant pub grub that’s 100% vegan!

We absolutely loved the doner and fries. Salad was super fresh. All staff we encountered were lovely and the pub had a really relaxed vibe. Will definitely visit again when we are in the area!

I got the Donner kebab and garlic and thyme chips. The chips were banging and fresh. However, my kebab was cold but also burnt. There was more salad than kebab, leaving just a lot of leaves and cold bread. and I paid TWELVE QUID for such a disappointing meal. The door to the pub was wide open so it was absoloutely freezing. I used to love Prickly Pear’s food but it’s gone so downhill since it moved to this pub. I’m very sad :(

A pleasant surprise, the place doesn't stick out much due to the other pubs and flashing lights along Mansfield road, but inside is a nicely decorated pub that makes you feel at ease, the staff are lovely and make great drinks. I have yet to try to food but it always smells amazing. Will visit often with vegan friends.

I like going to pubs, the sort that have craft beer and lots of wood. I equally like finding a good vegan eatery, the sort that has a very creative take on burgers etc. So I was delighted to find this gem of Nottingham.

Absolutely incredible food. Loved them at prickly pear but I feel like they've upped their game! Gochujang fries had a amazing kimchi which cut through the mayo perfectly. Tofu fishless burger had the perfect bite and mushroom tacos were equally amazing. Great drinks too and reasonably priced.

Absolutely amazing! So close to the city centre, nice atmosphere and most importantly the food was AWESOME! Would 100% recommend and I can't wait to go back again!! I only took 1 photo annoying after nearly eating all my chips, but the Holy Smoke Burger was epic!

Probably one of the best pubs in the country. Everything from the food, the drink, the staff, the rooftop beer garden is great. The only downside is the location. I will be a regular. from now thats for sure!

The pub could do with a freshen up, the menus are a bit grubby, and the lighting isn't the best, but despite that I keep coming back. Everyone who has served us has been very friendly, and the food is amazing. Visited four times since moving to Nottingham recently, and each time my husband and I have loved our meals (which is really rare for me). Only thing I wasn't keen on was the brownie. Cocktails are great too. We're looking forward to trying the Sunday roast next, as well as checking out the quiz!

Fully vegan pub with regular live music. Food is decent pub grub. Made fresh so there's usually a wait. Reasonable. Selection of beer. Mixed crowd of locals, students and local workers.

Great food, even though I'm a carnivore the food was immense and so filling. Staff were lovely and attentive and atmosphere was amazing, only issue was some flying ants but can't blame that on the venue. Defo coming back

A genuinely great (all vegan) pub. Food was far above and beyond pub standards and the beer was superb. Grace behind the bar was also charming and helpful. All in all could not recommend more and I look forward to going again.

I am not a Vegan, but I had the vegan burger. Its probably the tastiest burger I've had. Great food and staff are friendly.

I booked an Airbnb double room to stay for the night as I like the city and my partner and I are both vegan so we thought it would be a great place to check out. Our room was incredibly dirty and dusty with a piece of cardboard in place of a smashed out window park. The bed was horrible with a mattress with no protector and no light bulb in the bedside lamp. We decided not to stay and informed the bar staff who we apologetic and promised a refund. They said this wasn’t the room we had initially booked. However upon contacting the host Marc who runs the business he insisted that we should have waited for a deep clean and wouldn’t accept that the room wasn’t as advertised despite also saying they will no longer be offering rooms. It’s extraordinary that anyone would think this ok. I won’t be spending any more money to support that business given such a dreadful response. Don’t stay there. It’s cheap for a reason and they take no responsibility for their failings.

I've had many meals at The Golden Fleece in the past, catered by The Prickly Pear. This was the first time that we tried the Sunday Roast dinner. We were not disappointed! I had the crispy 'pork belly', and my mate had the roast 'beef'. It was outstanding! We were both extremely impressed with the quality of the food! The gravy was the best I've ever had! I'm not sure what goes into it or how it's made, but it was fantastic!! The only downside was that I could have done with just a little bit more in the small jug that came on the plate. All the food served is vegan, which might put some people off. I'm lucky, in the sense that I can eat all 3 types, meat, vegetarian, and vegan food. My mate is a vegetarian, so whenever we have vegan, I can tell him if it tastes like 'meat' or not. I prefer to eat vegan food whenever I can, as the taste and flavours are so much better. I couldn't be a full-time vegan, too much time reading checking labels, etc, when shopping, but when I eat out, I always make a point of trying vegan. If there are any meat eaters reading this, please do try a vegan meal sometime. It opens up a whole new menu choice! If you want to try a vegan meal for the first time, what better place than the Golden Fleece on Mansfield Road. They've never failed to disappoint me in the past.

I had dinner here with friends on saturday. Lovely, lively pub, great range of drinks and fantasic food. I'm not a vegan but love trying new stuff. I had the donner kebab and it was amazing - fresh naan, flavourful crunchy salad and the "meat" was beautifully seasoned and really tasty. Hightly recommended and we will be going back!

Great food, friendly people, lovely place. We came here because we were looking for a place for a vegan lunch. After having a quick Google, this was one that had an entirely vegan menu! If we are ever around Nottingham again, we will definitely be back!! It was delicious! They also have a good gluten free selection.

We chose to gonhere to eat from The Prickly Pear as it's a vegan menu. The food was really good, especially the garlic and rosemary fries. Large portions.

What a great Sunday lunch first rate. I'm not a vegan but the food was delicious and it was made with care. The beer was nice and the staff were polite and friendly, all round great service.

Haven't been here since its changed hands. But I'm glad I went tonight. The food was delicious, I had a burrito bowl with fries. It was soo good. The tinga lentils and pickles were an absolute highlight for me. The whipped feta was amazing! Bar staff were engaging and friendly. Will deffo go back. Thanks for a great evening!

OMG!! Emily went above & beyond, i thought my expectations were high, but this was the best experience at a pub i’ve ever encountered. I brought this 10/10 boy on a date here & emily got the candles out & set up the perfect date for me. I can’t thank her enough, she deserves a raise or a promotion of some sort. Thank you Emily ❤️❤️

Had a perfectly unsweet mocha stout on tap which was much welcomed. Lovely friendly staff also. And so nice to see the Fleece back on form (vibe wise) as it was always a great pub back in the day. All vegan now & definitely in the nicest of ways. Nothing weird, fringey, frosty or salty about it. Respect. Will be back for more. Cheers

The menu here is vegan, similar to many cafes and bars in the area, and I can't confess to being a huge fan of vegan alternatives. However, I did enjoy it here. The seitan was nice and was quite a pleasant alternative to meat. Decent meal for a decent price and a good range of pints and other drinks on tap. A pleasant surprise.

Emily and Jasmine are perhaps two of the best barmaids I have ever had the privilege of being served by, they have exceptional service and have changed my perception not only on drinks, but on life. Emily and jasmine for the win

Great spot for a pint. The outdoor area out the back is great on a sunny day. We had a Sunday roast here and unfortunately it was not great. The food is made by prickly pear so I was expecting a lot better. The food was cold, they had run out of most things on the menu, and then they forgot one of friends dinner. Disappointing. I will be back for beer but not the food.

Best pub we visited in Nottingham, great beers and nice vibe

Though the building and rooms say trad boozer, the Golden Fleece feels a bit different. The aesthetic is appealing: brick and wooden details, colourful signs, a mural of Snoopy in his pilot's helmet, dashes of a Caribbean flavour. All clean and dapper. I just had a coffee at first. You don't always get a good one in a bar; but my Americano was properly hot and had its own unusual, pleasantly bitter tang. The milk came separately, and it took all of it to whiten this dark brew. The young bartender agreed with me that coffee should be hot, which is the way she likes it herself. Truth is, too many places serve it luke. I liked the ambience of the place. (Someone was dancing, even in mid afternoon.) So then I had a pint of Mad Sheep, their house lager. The stylish bartender was smart, friendly, chatty--I'm guessing a student. Did the Fleece proud, anyway. Looks like they do a big menu here--brunch till 3, and meals till late. Will deffo be back next time I'm in Nottingham.

Was very tasty food (I had the classic tacos), small portions so consider ordering a side too. We were squashed in very tightly, so if you book make sure you comfortably have enough space for everyone to eat inside! Also the DJ was a bit enthusiastic and too loud at 7pm with an empty dance floor.

I'm not a vegan, but my daughter is and wanted to eat there, so I said I'd give it a go. Initially I really liked the burger, but I must admit I struggled towards the end. If you're vegan though, I'd say its definitely a great place to go.

This pub menu is solely vegan food and we thought it was extremely poor quality using simulated style beef in the doner- what's wrong with using fresh vegetables?! You can do wonderful meals with aubergines and peppers! Also food very poorly presented and half cold when it got to the table.
