Not that impressed tbf. Celebrating birthday but service was poor. 45 minute wait for main course and 40 minutes wait for pudding, not acceptable, when I spoke with staff member blamed it on staff shortages and other parties, woefully poor excuse, will not attend again for food, very poor..

Food amazing and very reasonably priced. We were served by a waitress called Beth who was on a trial shift on her first day. She was amazing. Really efficient, attentive, friendly and with a great smile. Sincerely hope she is now a permanent member of the team.

Not a great experience. The restaurant menu wasn’t very broad and not as much choice as you would expect - we all ended up with Burgers A few issues - they had ran out of Tomato ketchup - the waitress split our drinks across table, we cleaned this ourselves and did not get an apology, a cloth or the drinks topped up - a table by us, a customer had a white jumper on - cashmere style, the same waitress split all of the customers red cocktail down the white jumper This wasn’t the team members fault, it would appear that the bar was understaffed and a new team member was chucked in at the deep end and not given a lot of training or support We didn’t finish our meals or the drinks, a poor experience. Haven’t been back since

We came for the bottomless brunch, 90 minutes drinks & food for £25. Meghan was looking after us for the experience, she was so kind and brilliant service. Would recommend!

I used to visit the branch in Derby with fond memories, so when looking for lunch in Nottingham, it caught my eye. It was 1pm on a Friday, so I was surprised to find it completely empty. I was greeted warmly but then led to the back of the restaurant. What struck me most was, that despite being a mild day, the room was absolutely freezing. I ordered the warm bread selection. A nice portion of warm breads with balsamic vinegar in oil, and a bowl of sad looking olives. The bread was nice but the vinegar thick like treacle. Tasted good though. Then fish and chips, a nice sized portion the chips where hot (which was good, I could warm my hands over them) crispy outside and fluffy centres. The mushy peas were fine and the fish had a thin crispy batter but was a little flavourless and dry at one end. Price wise it was a little more than I’d expect for a venue of the types but was okay. I passed on dessert and left to defrost in the sunshine.

Went in for tea before a gig and was welcomed by a very attentive waitress,took our order and served drinks, Food came piping hot and in reasonable time ,and as there was a4 40% discount off everything made it really good value ,even at full price was still good value as portions were very big

Terrible bar staff. No idea how to pour a pint. I had guiness. The glass was dirty I told her whilst she was trying to pour it and she got another glass and poured it out of the dirty glass into another glass!! No apology just a dirty look. Flat , no head on the guiness. Hopeless. Won't be coming here again. Ignorant staff.

This place on a sunday afternoon is no place to go for a sunday dinner… all the females in this bar and restaurant only seem to want to turn the sound system up and have a saturday night vibe. This is not what you want for a midday sunday lunch. There is no way you can enjoy a family meal in here or even have a conversation, you are needing to shout at each other across the table just to be heard. To order your food you are screaming at the bar staff/waitress and also needing to repeat yourself constanly as they cant hear you. The sound system with all the base is amazing for a friday and saturday night out on the town but for a family bar/restruant this is no good. There is no point complaining to management as they are all so young and are unfazed by you leaving the premises due to all of these issue. They will happily let you leave and just turn the sounds up even more. No wonder your company is paying for a bouncer to be on the door on a sunday afternoon. You are asking for trouble. This bar/restaurant really do need to consider what kind of clientele you want in this bar as local piss heads are defo not interested in your menu.

Incredibly disappointing evening at the Fat Cats “Bottomless Brunch” which I attended with 3 friends on Saturday night. Firstly arriving and being seated in a room that was so cold that we all kept our coats on, and upon asking if they could turn the air- con off, the response was ‘its always this temperature’. Not a particularly welcoming start. We arrived 15 mins before 5pm, *as advised on the website*, to be told we would not be served our ‘welcome’ pornstar martinis’ until 5pm on the dot, so were expected to sit for 15 mins in a freezing room without a drink, even though the drinks were all pre made and sitting on the bar. We were also advised by one waiter that to order additional drinks it was a table service, and another waitress that we had to order form the bar, all very confusing, and a clear lack of management direction. However the most disappointing part of all, were the ‘bottomless’ drinks that we had prepaid for; 4 large jugs, filled halfway with ice, and the other half which what can only be described as cheap, sickly, half flat juice/cordial that you’d only serve at a 5 year olds birthday party, which they’d clearly added one or possibly two shots of vodka, maximum. Another table next to us had the same issue and complained, to no avail. There were three cubicles in the ladies bathroom , one had a broken toilet seat, one had NO toilet seat, and there was also no toilet roll- so much for keeping things clean, post covid! Disgusting. And this was at 5pm, imagine it at 11pm! We left early, after giving up on the very average service, revolting drinks, unhygienic bathrooms, and £25 lighter. Thanks but no thanks!

The bottomless brunch here is fab, really good value. The waitress ensured our glasses were always full and she was friendly and helpful. Really relaxed atmosphere, the bar itself is modern and clean, food was lovely too. Will definitely go back!

Accommodated is at last minute. Adele provided us with great service. Very friendly and knowledgeable. Very warm welcome. Speedy and great food.

(£130 for a table at the Bottomless brunch: unlimited Prosecco, free cocktail upon arrival and a meal.)Kindly reminded staff repeatedly about the free cocktail on arrival, as 30 minutes in we hadn’t received it yet - when it did arrive they tried to charge us £40 for the cocktails. Obviously this was a misunderstanding, so we explained that this was our first “free upon arrival” cocktail and was apart of the bottomless brunch deal. However, I was disgusted for the staff to accuse us a second time, saying that staff had already collected our ‘empty glasses’ from the ‘free cocktail’ that never existed in the first place, and still tried to charge us!!! Asked staff to check cctv to prove that we never had the free first cocktail to begin with, but even after that no one came to update us on the situation, nor apologise. After this, the manager made us all feel extremely uncomfortable by avoiding us and silently judging us from a far, despite proving it to be their misjudgment and mistake.Genuinely never felt so appalled and the whole ordeal ruined our experience. The lack of apology from management and staff made what was a simple misunderstanding on their behalf, into a bitchy, unprofessional ordeal that I will most definitely pass onto others before they think about coming here.

I visited Fatcats on Sunday with a couple of my friends and was extremely upset when coming out of the toilets to hear a very rude man shouting at the young girl behind the bar, he was swearing at her and telling her she was a waste of space. She was trying to tell him that she was doing her best she had several cocktails to make and didn’t want to mess them up, he told her to ffing get on with it and shut her mouth. I have been to Fatcats several times before and had a really nice time with the banter from the friendly staff however I will not be returning due to the lack of respect shown to a female worker. I have never felt uncomfortable in this bar before it was shocking listening to how nasty the manage was. The poor girl was next to tears really really out of order shame on whoever put this horrible man in charge of running a bar, he should be ashamed of himself if that was my daughter a would be ripping his head off.

We went for bottomless brunch yesterday - we got there early but was seated 5 mins late - which consequently ate into our 2 hours. I understand this however and we decided to ignore.When we sat down, the waiters had no idea what was included in bottomless brunch. We were told we could pick a cocktail and it would then be bottomless. When he returned he explained you can only get Peroni, Prosecco or red stripe. The rest of the service was good and the waiter was on hand. However, it seemed as though because we had already paid they looked down on us a bit as we wouldn’t be spending I guess? (the manager - I’m assuming) said in a rude manner “these have already paid” right in front of us, and rolled his eyes.It got to ten minutes before we finished our two hours and the rude man returned to tell us we had to leave. My friends got up as they had another booking elsewhere. However I hadn’t finished my drink yet so I attempted to finish it. The man returned and said we need to leave. At this point it was 6 mins to the time we should be leaving so I said I’d like to finish my drink. He then said “so you literally want to stay here right until the end?” And rolled his eyes again. He then STOOD there in front of me waiting? This is so so rude and also really upsetting as it was supposed to be a nice time out with friends and he really ruined it for us.I have honestly never come across service like that before - so upsetting!

There was one particular member of staff that ruined the evening, very disappointed with how rude he was. He spoke down to us and made unnecessary comments until we left. I would not go here again because of his service.

We went for a Christmas event at fat cats for students and we had an awful time. We first had trouble getting in because the manager was very rude and refused to belief we were from the same flat even though we showed her proof. It took 20 minutes of arguing before they let us in, and I wish they never did. We were sold very expensive drinks that were very obviously watered down. I ordered a jaeger pint and it came half full and watered down, I asked for them to fill it up more but they refused. The “Christmas Dinner” they gave us was a microwaved meal that literally came in the tin they microwaved it in. For £7.50 it was a pitiful amount of food, especially for students who were promised on the website a cheaper night. Other drinks we had was a VK “pint” but they were charging double the price for two bottles in one cup which makes no sense. We felt ripped off the whole time and while we felt the bouncer and the waiters tried to help as much as possible, it was a terrible night and we won’t be going again. We advise anyone against it.

Came for a student event and was charged £7 for entry before being charged £8 for what I can only describe as a disgraceful Christmas meal. I was charged £4.50 for a flat bottle of Budweiser which wasn’t even served in the bottle- it was poured into a glass and quite frankly it certainly wasn’t a full bottle. I then ordered 2 bottles of drink which they served both poured into one glass, not quite sure how two bottles can fit in one glass?! The manager was hostile all night and the staff got drinks orders confused. Think they should stick to their name and act as a cafe rather than an events venue.

Cuando se les preguntó por qué cobran esto para que hagan su trabajo, dijeron que es para desinfectante de manos. ¡Algunos amigos y yo llegamos el sábado y tuvimos una experiencia increíble! ¡Estuvo ocupado con un gran ambiente pero muy bien organizado! El personal fue brillante y la gerente Teresa fue un regalo de Dios! Ella se aseguró de que estuviéramos bien atendidos y se aseguró de que todas las pautas se siguieran al pie de la letra. Nos sentimos seguros y cómodos y disfrutamos mucho de nuestro tiempo aquí. ¡Definitivamente volveremos aquí para disfrutar más de los fabulosos cócteles!

Would have gone for drinks with family. However we were told there was a £1 charge per person to sit inside or outside on top of anything we ordered. There were 5 of us.Err I think not.Greedy. We went elsewhere as this charge is totally unnecessary.

When I went to Fat Cats in 2015 I had a pretty poor experience of the food and the customer service skills of the staff. I would like to say that the customer service seems to have vastly improved and staff were helpful and friendly. Food has improved but not significantly, it is ok, not mind-blowing but edible.

Decidí tener una comida pre panto aquí con la familia y desearía haber leído algunas críticas al respecto de antemano.El menú es bastante básico, pero decidimos pescado y papas fritas, pollo al horno y pizza para niños. El pez era espantoso. La masa estaba empapada y cruda. El pollo al horno consistía en una cama de pasta vegetal descuidada cubierta con tres tiras de pollo cocido. La pizza para niños era simplemente una base de pizza con una pequeña puré de tomate untada.El servicio fue desatendido y todo fue demasiado caro.Como teníamos una familia que nos visitaba desde España, realmente no queríamos estropear nuestra velada quejándonos y, en cualquier caso, realmente no había nada que hacer más que alejarnos y nunca volver. Una lección aprendida.

I am generally easily pleased so this place must be bad! Used to love FC in my student days but this was a pre panto meal with the family. First of all the menu is really basic and uninteresting. So me and the kids went for the burger options as that is hard to get wrong...but turns out not so. Mine was meant to have chorizo and mushroom topping but it was basically just a cheese burger. When I asked where the toppings were the waitress replied “oh they are in the sauce!” Similarly my two sons opted for the burger with pulled pork topping but again you would have had to send out a search party to find any pork on there. And to add insult to injury we got hardly any chips with it either so we had to order an extra bowl as a side. Really underwhelming for meals that are charged at £12.95 so my advice is to go to Annie’s or Reds True Bbq and avoid being ripped off for such basic offerings...

Lovely ambiance but the food very disappointing. No lunchtime menu available as there apparently hadn’t been a delivery we had enquire to find this out. Pizzas were very bland and did in no way live up to their price tag. Perhaps a wrong menu choice.

Had our work Christmas do there the other night. The food was below mediocre and the music so loud you couldn't talk.My soup starter was ok but unseasoned. The salmon was dry and felt like it had been prepared earlier and left under the heater to keep warm. The cranberry was cheap cranberry sauce. The "veg" beet and cauli puree were 6 dabs of decoration around the salmon. My colleague said his Turkey dinner tasted like a microwave ready meal. The chocolate fudge cake was massive but not warm, served with cheap vanilla ice cream that tasted of nothing at all and had an icy texture. The worst thing was the music. My ears are still ringing from how loud it was. Impossible to hold a conversation. All in all, not a pleasant experience.

I visited the 'New Fat Cat' at the weekend to start the Christmas celebrations with my work colleagues, upon walking in the atmosphere was warm and friendly, music levels just right, wasn't too long to wait at the bar either.

Came as a family of 10 (6 adults and 4 teenagers) to Fat Cats in Nottingham- great value for money on a Sunday due to half price drinks and food. I came from Peterborough today to meet friends who live in Crete and another from Loughborough we had a fabulous afternoon, the food was great, and superb service all staff very attentive, also Thursday 50% off food, what's not to like, great atmosphere will definitely be back. Also came in the Summer for drinks outside, really enjoyed it,Thank you

since it has moved to number 8 the standards have certainly risen , the lovely Teresa and her staff were so accommodating to our dietary needs(my love of horseradish) .I couldn't fault the service or quality of the food that was all fresh and tasty again plenty of gravy on my plate to my taste, so nice to be able to relax and take our time in a minimal fuss diner serving quality food at such reasonable prices ,fresh veg pleases me , good wine half price pleases me even more ,but the happy atmosphere , staff always there and obviously a great management made our day ,thank you all very much

Visited today. Booked online, for which we received a confirmation. On arrival we were told the restaurant don’t accept online bookings. We were found a table, despite the reservation issues, which was good. Service was slow. Starters were passable. We had fish and chips and a burger for 3 hungry teenage boys. The fish and chips were awful and we could not eat the meals. The burger was over cooked and dry. Extremely disappointing! We paid got the drinks and starters but not the mains. This was not the place it was prior to its relocation. Unfortunately we could not recommend for a family meal, which is sad as we had high hopes for the day...

We visited this bar restaurant on a Sunday. We were recommend to go on a Sunday as some drinks and food was half price also on a Thursday. It was really nice we were able to sit outside. We will visit again.

Brilliant all drinks and food half price Thursdays and sundays.good bar staff and nice and clean.good service and good food.

Este lugar es una necesidad absoluta. El ambiente es relajado y acogedor, con un excelente menú para comidas y bebidas. La comida que tuvimos fue muy bien cocinada y muy sabrosa con un buen tamaño de la porción. el menú de cócteles hizo que fuera difícil elegir ya que todos se veían bien y algunos también inusuales. Si buscas una noche en Nottingham, este lugar definitivamente vale la pena una visita.

Enjoyed a nice evening at the Fat Cat in a fun friendly atmosphere. Had a great mea that was a hearty portion and reasonably priced. Drinks are a far price too. Staff are friendly and the service was quick.

Came in here saturday for food and drinks but failed miserably, stood at bar waiting but could see the 3 bar staff couldnt cope with the mad rush of 1 customer. After about 10 minutes of waiting and bar staff walking by me like i was invisible i decided to give up and go elsewhere to spend my money. It must be nice to run a business where you don't need customers money. My 30 odd quid if you times it up by 10 customers 300 quid by every day..... well you do the maths. Reminded me of Wetherspoons.yuk.

Been here several times now and this will probably be my last time. Service was bad ordered at the bar eventually, bar staff very pleasant as normal. Only ordered sharing plater, due to past Melas being hit and miss.it was cold over cooked and inedible no cutlery given with the meals no check back on how the food was.

Visited with a load of friends and we all had great 241 meals, from fajitas, burgers, fish & chips, pizza.. all were really lovely and they serve great beers and the service was good too. Recommended for a Sunday afternoon...

We were staying in the Premier Inn which was practically next door to this cafe bar so we were always going to visit here on our six day holiday to this vibrant city.

As group of 14 this was no problem from the point I booked and the pre order process to the excellent food and service. Could'nt recommend this place and the staff enough. Neil

Visited Nottingham with work. Looked at a few chain restaurants but discovered Fat Cat, which was a great find.
