The Waters Edge in Nottingham

Went here for my sisters birthday and it was brilliant, the guys here helped massively and secretly with the cake for my sister. Lovely people and all round great place.

Service was great today. Christmas decorations put up after Halloween is always a plus, Amy was fantastic, thank you!

Is not open till 12 and just before back to my car I can smell one of the workers smoking weed in smoking area

Food is excellent, good service too. Lovely location, especially in the summer when you can sit out next to the canal. There is a nice play area for children which is fenced in for safety.

Lovely place for breakfast - served until 11.30am, with so much choice. They even cater to specific needs, ie; well done bacon, sunny side down eggs etc. Have been twice now and will always come back. Extremely well priced as well.

They got some awesome deals and foods are pretty good..

Drove to Nottingham from Birmingham to try this place and we're glad we did. Friendly staff , great food and good price. Plenty of TV's to watch the football on. Clean and tidy too. Overall great place!

Amy and the team were very helpful and suggested getting the Greene king sport app to save us some money on our drinks!

Guaranteed good time at the Waters Edge - cheap and tasty without fail!

Very nice pub on the river and the view is relaxing. Food and service are good and friendly Fast service as well. The kids' play area is decent, too There are plenty of parking spaces. My family loves going there a few times a month

I had lunch today with a friend, on arrival ‘Laura’ made us feel extremely welcome and we were seated really quickly. Food was lovely and hot and Laura could not have been more professional and friendly - I would definitely go back due to the service received from Laura - she is an asset to this restaurant.

A soulless establishment, in my view. Some of the staff are friendly and helpful, others not so. I had a burger on one occasion. Poor. Tasteless and overcooked. A side of chips on another occasion was fine. A friend says the fish and chips are good value. I don't know.

Issac and Korey absolutely class on the bar. Issac was like Tom Cruise from cocktail! I was asked if I want another each time on my last sip. Always good craic in this bar. Amazing Guinness!

Came in for breakfast today. Had a really nice chat with the server Laura. Really friendly and welcoming.

Several team members blowing up balloons, and popping them around my table, when I am eating my meal when pub was almost empty, instead of staff moving to another area, I had to move taking my meal with me, lacking customer service.

Good place for friends gathering

Vinimos aquí para almorzar para variar como no hemos estado en un tiempo. Fue un cambio muy agradable a nuestro lugar habitual y la comida era deliciosa. Me atendió una señora llamada Laura que no podía hacer lo suficiente por nosotros, vino y me preguntó si habíamos estado antes, preguntó si necesitábamos algo, nos mostró dónde pedir y fue muy educado. Después de que le pedimos que entregara nuestra comida tan rápido que todavía estaba humeante que estaba tan caliente. Ella volvió a preguntar si teníamos todo lo que necesitábamos y se ofreció a conseguir todo lo que habíamos olvidado (en esta ocasión solo necesitábamos mayonesa). Solo quería dejar una reseña ya que todo el tiempo nos hicieron sentir bienvenidos y atendidos : )

Great experience - came as part of a group of 7 at lunchtime, (Castle Marina - 25th Sept) food was great (I had a "stake sizzler") and served swiftly, with a smile. The bar staff was great - tables clean and ready etc.

Great food generous portions and prompt service with relaxed atmosphere easy assess disable toilet. Free parking(just register your number plate in entry next to the bar). We will be going here again soon

Brilliant location next to the canal, popped in to do some work for the day, was greeted and given the perfect little booth in the corner! Ordered some food and drinks. All came prompt and fresh and served with a smile! Second time visiting here never disappointed yet! Will be returning for sure! Thanks Team Watersedge!

Extremely good, was served by Amy who is a credit to the team. Had drinks, food and pudding for 3 so is really cheap compared to other places in the area.

Went for a catch up with some friends and had a lovely server! Her name was Amy. Truly amazing hospitality skills and such a people person! Really went out of the way for us and was just so friendly! Really recommend this place to anyone!

I live very local to this pub, both me and my partner have been wanting to go here as its in a beautiful area next to the river. On arrival the staff member (new lady) was absolutely lovely. We sat down at a table and I noticed the seats was very worn down, we then ordered our food and it didn't take long for the food to arrive but I was very disappointed with what I was given, my burger was dry even with the sauce and it looked like no care or love was put into the food. The only thing I enjoyed was the birds outside but if there was no birds then I would have given 1 star. I spoke to 2 members of staff while I was here and both was lovely but all the other staff members just seemed to look at us like crap on their shoe.

Visited here when staying in the area, lovely pub, friendly helpful staff, we didn't eat this time. But the food coming out of the kitchen looked really good. Special thanks to the manager for a great pint of San Miguel. Will be sure to visit again when in the area. Thanks.

We've spent a lot of time recently at The Waters edge Nottingham, we are working in the area for the next 14 weeks. We have eaten here regularly. And have to mention the outstanding service we receive especially from Maria. What a delightful, diligent helpful young lady. 👏 She is an absolute credit to the company.

Very nice pub, the pigeons get a bit friendly in the garden but I suppose there's not much can be done about that lol

Came here for a treat for my Grandsons birthday 31/7/2024, but hadn't got the food the adults wanted my grandson ended up with just a plate of chips and a drink. We sat outside due to the warm weather, well somebody ought to be on litter picking duty at least once a day for the rubbish and thousands of cigarette ends which the geese and ducks could end up swalling.

We visited during the Euros Final Game and the whole staff team were amazing! The food was really good and the outdoor benches were lovely to sit on during the game. Special shout out to Andy who is amazing and helped sort out a parking issue. Thank you!

Great family pub with a park. Took my daughters as I seen it had a lovely little park outside which they thoroughly enjoyed and we decided to get some food. When ordering the food my daughter can be quite fussy but the barman Isaac was so kind and friendly towards her it really helped when sometimes it can be quite difficult, was a really nice experience for food and hospitality, will be going back.

Came in for food and drinks was served by Isaac on the bar his service was amazing and was very helpful.

Didn't eat here, so don't know about the food. But pitched up here to watch the euros semi and final. Looks pretty tired around the beer garden and canalside, but indoors was nice enough and the staff all quite pleasant despite the mad rush on.

Nice place to visit and enjoy a meal. However, I spilled the pepper as the lid came off when I picked it up. The table was filthy, as the wipe was very dirty. More attention to cleanliness please. How often are staff rinsjng put that cloth I see them hsjng on all the fabmes with the antibacterial spray. Also. I had to send my chicken back to be cooked more, as the skin was pale and soft still.

We stopped in for a meal while traveling on canal we liked it's so much we decided to go 2 more times

Had the mixed grill, steak was so tough and dry as it had been rewarmed. The chicken was tough and rubbery as was the sausage. The only decent edible items were the chips and the small piece of gammon. The table surface left a lot to be desired as this was sticky. Don't think we'll be visiting again.

I really enjoyed coming here. The food was lovely the staff was friendly and welcoming 😊. Nicely decorated. Kids play area was good but nothing for toddlers. Could do with either something inside for younger ones or outside. The view of the canal and people enjoying the nice weather was lovely to see

Best steak I've had for a long time, it was cooked to perfection for me (medium rare) and with a delicious crust on top. Amazing value for money, and the service and enthusiasm of the super friendly bar staff was brilliant.

Had a lovely lunch with my wife the service and the food was excellent as usual, we really enjoy our meals here.

Lovely hot food (lasagne and garlic bread), quick service, very friendly staff who actually talk to you, very clean, and staff are very quick at tidying tables. Clear instructions of where to pick up cutlery, sauces and napkins. Can’t say anything negative about this pub/restaurant.

We visited you this evening, we were there to celebrate my late Mum's birthday with dinner and a drink. It was an emotional eve Staff were friendly, smiley and so helpful. My brother couldnt eat his meal as a little upset, the staff, sorry we cant remember your name, came and spoke to him to see if he was o.k, even offered him desert for free! What a service, the food was good, sent to us in great time, we were able to remember our beautiful mum in good surroundings What a team, Thank you x

Been today for a meal with my daughter. Was really impressed with the service. Ordered on the app and had to change a drink we ordered. Nothing was too much trouble. The food was lovely I had steak with beef dripping sauce - perfectly. The Staff are very friendly. Will definitely return.
