The Waters Edge in Nottingham

Great pub serving the usual Hungry Horse menu. Affordable and good spot in the summer being on the water. Staff were very accommodating and friendly.

The young lady that served us today was really lovely, helpful and had the biggest smile. It's a long time since I have had such lovely service from all the staff. The Manager was also very nice. Thankyou for making my lunch a pleasant experience.

Staying locally and ate here 2 nights in a row. The food is great, everything came out hot and super tasty. What sets it apart was the customer service. Everyone was engaging, helpful and genuinely interested.

Alojarse en el Holiday Inn al otro lado de la carretera y The Waters Edge era inicialmente solo un lugar "conveniente" para comer. La comida era genial y el servicio era fantástico 👌 Todo salió caliente, sabroso y lleno de sabor. Tan impresionado que volvimos la noche siguiente y una vez más el servicio era genial. El equipo nos recibió y estaban comprometidos. Sin duda recomiendo.

Very chilled out atmosphere, really nice variety of food on the menu and great portion sizes with a wide range of drinks to choose from. They have an Adult section which has pool tables and a dart board. Great vibe. And a family friendly zone for kids with a park. Would recommend for a nice relaxed evening with a group of friends. Enjoyed it.

Enjoyable lunchtime meal, steak and ale pie with chips. Served very quickly and very tasty. Pub not very busy but was on a Thursday lunchtime

Anteriormente solíamos ir a desayunar, pero al cumplir 69 años el lunes 10 de febrero decidimos probar una comida a la hora del almuerzo después de haberlos comido en un caballo hambriento cerca de casa. La comida era sabrosa y caliente, pero la guinda del pastel era el hecho de que el borde de las aguas me dio un postre de helado FOC, ya que es mi cumpleaños. No estoy poniendo esta crítica por el helado, sino porque creemos que cualquiera que use la cadena de caballos hambrientos debe visitar el borde del agua y verlo por sí mismo. Visitamos este pub un par de veces durante el fin de semana, ya que mi hijo se ha mudado a la zona. La oferta de comida es excelente y muy buena relación calidad-precio. Tuvimos desayunos (actualmente abre a las 10 am) que eran muy sabrosos y una gama de comidas de noche que estaban bien presentados y cocinados. El personal es todo amable, alegre y enfocado al cliente, el propietario ha construido un muy buen equipo. Todo esto con buenas ofertas para niños, un área separada para adultos y un gran entorno en el canal y tienes un ganador.

While staying at a premier inn across from this pub, we met with family for an evening meal. We picked the quiz night to visit, and although we didn't take part, we enjoyed answering the questions within our group. Anyway our reason for using this pub was for its food. We all agreed that the meals we had were enjoyable. My only complaint is that No Cask ales available.

Came in as was passing and thought we'd give the place a go haven't been for well over 3 years but was pleasently surprised lovely food and staff were so friendly. Can see the place has definitely improved massively and would definitely recommend will 100% be coming back. Thanks to Laura who made us feel very welcome.

Pretty much the same food in all of these places. Decent food at a decent price. Some items you can tell are straight from the freezer like the chicken skewers. They'll all slimy ewww

I made the dreaded mistake of placing an open palm on the surface of Table 24. The instant i did, i was horrified to learn that my hand had become completely glued to the table due to its incredible stickiness, rendering me completely immobile. My life flashed before my eyes, suddenly a deep wave of regret that I had not lived my life to the fullest hit me. The things I would never experience as I was sure I would be stuck to the table indefinitely. After several arduous hours, firefighters were eventually able to set me free at the cost of several layers of skin from my palm, which required grafting by the talented doctors at a nearby hospital. Overall experience was pleasant.

The tables here are so sticky that 3M is considering patenting it as a new type of adhesive.

Simple but good cuisine, cozy atmosphere and very friendly staff. Good place to spend an evening with friends at the bar. Equally child-friendly and easily accessible. Good location on the way to Warhammerworld. We'll be back!

Warm and welcoming - this is the place where you can come alone or as a group and nothing changes, great food great service and always friendly helpful staff everything!. This place has it all value, atmosphere and good old quality food, well done to all that make this happen Andy and the team.

Family meet - we often pop by during the week, always such warm and welcoming greeting from the staff and more often than not the manager Andy pops by and welcomes us. Called for late lunch not very busy my food was perfect my friends was very good but far to big she couldn't eat it all whitch was shame

John Smith's bitter was very cloudy took it back was replaced by exactly the same thing. Ordered steak sandwich salad very tough and very chewy not very nice sorry.

Brilliant meal yesterday and staff excellent

My family and I had Christmas dinner at Water’s Edge this year and it was beautiful! Delicious food cooked perfectly, the friendliest and most attentive staff and lovely finishing touches with welcome drinks and table decorations. Very reasonably priced and definitely worth visiting! We will be rebooking for next Christmas!

(Chicken is not fresh Meat....more so like McDonald's Minced Chicken Patty) SEEVICE- Happy Welcoming Staff who seem to be here to help. Fast Service and Cooking of food 5 Minutes ATMOSPHERE- Warm, cosy and Honley, Good selection of seats both Booth and Tables. Outdoor seating Avalable too.

Came here with my sons. Food was delicious. The service was excellent. Gentleman who served us was brilliant even helping to try and find one of my sons toy accessory.

Lovely family friendly place would Definitely recommend for family and on this visit the amazing staff chipped in on the claw Machine to win a prize but are champion that actually won for the little one was non other than Korey lovely friendly young chap

We regularly attend there for breakfast/brunch, it has never failed to satisfy...

Staff were very helpful and service was fast and helped find a spare table to add to ours as our party increased by 2 from 12 to 14.

Food was cold and burnt, not as described on menu and not worth the money or time spent there, service was good and staff was friendly

Food is excellent, good service too. Lovely location, especially in the summer when you can sit out next to the canal. There is a nice play area for children which is fenced in for safety.

Lovely place for breakfast - served until 11.30am, with so much choice. They even cater to specific needs, ie; well done bacon, sunny side down eggs etc. Have been twice now and will always come back. Extremely well priced as well.

Drove to Nottingham from Birmingham to try this place and we're glad we did. Friendly staff , great food and good price. Plenty of TV's to watch the football on. Clean and tidy too. Overall great place!

Very nice pub on the river and the view is relaxing. Food and service are good and friendly Fast service as well. The kids' play area is decent, too There are plenty of parking spaces. My family loves going there a few times a month

I had lunch today with a friend, on arrival ‘Laura’ made us feel extremely welcome and we were seated really quickly. Food was lovely and hot and Laura could not have been more professional and friendly - I would definitely go back due to the service received from Laura - she is an asset to this restaurant.

A soulless establishment, in my view. Some of the staff are friendly and helpful, others not so. I had a burger on one occasion. Poor. Tasteless and overcooked. A side of chips on another occasion was fine. A friend says the fish and chips are good value. I don't know.

Issac and Korey absolutely class on the bar. Issac was like Tom Cruise from cocktail! I was asked if I want another each time on my last sip. Always good craic in this bar. Amazing Guinness!

Several team members blowing up balloons, and popping them around my table, when I am eating my meal when pub was almost empty, instead of staff moving to another area, I had to move taking my meal with me, lacking customer service.

Great experience - came as part of a group of 7 at lunchtime, (Castle Marina - 25th Sept) food was great (I had a "stake sizzler") and served swiftly, with a smile. The bar staff was great - tables clean and ready etc.

Great food generous portions and prompt service with relaxed atmosphere easy assess disable toilet. Free parking(just register your number plate in entry next to the bar). We will be going here again soon

Nice pub with a small playground outside. Kids can play while you are enjoying your meal and drinks.

Brilliant location next to the canal, popped in to do some work for the day, was greeted and given the perfect little booth in the corner! Ordered some food and drinks. Extremely good, was served by Amy who is a credit to the team. Had drinks, food and pudding for 3 so is really cheap compared to other places in the area.

I live very local to this pub, both me and my partner have been wanting to go here as its in a beautiful area next to the river. On arrival the staff member (new lady) was absolutely lovely. We sat down at a table and I noticed the seats was very worn down, we then ordered our food and it didn't take long for the food to arrive but I was very disappointed with what I was given, my burger was dry even with the sauce and it looked like no care or love was put into the food. The only thing I enjoyed was the birds outside but if there was no birds then I would have given 1 star. I spoke to 2 members of staff while I was here and both was lovely but all the other staff members just seemed to look at us like crap on their shoe.

Visited here when staying in the area, lovely pub, friendly helpful staff, we didn't eat this time. But the food coming out of the kitchen looked really good. Special thanks to the manager for a great pint of San Miguel. Will be sure to visit again when in the area. Thanks.

We've spent a lot of time recently at The Waters edge Nottingham, we are working in the area for the next 14 weeks. We have eaten here regularly. And have to mention the outstanding service we receive especially from Maria. What a delightful, diligent helpful young lady. 👏 She is an absolute credit to the company.

This is a fantastic place for enjoying at the same time good food and beautiful landscapes. Also, pet friendly place.

Came here for a treat for my Grandsons birthday 31/7/2024, but hadn't got the food the adults wanted my grandson ended up with just a plate of chips and a drink. We sat outside due to the warm weather, well somebody ought to be on litter picking duty at least once a day for the rubbish and thousands of cigarette ends which the geese and ducks could end up swalling.
