Loved this place, very good atmosphere, carvery was lovely and the place was very busy which is always a good sign, would highly recommend. Always best to book as it's that busy.

We were served today by Mandy she was so friendly and even went out of her way to help us multiple times! Thank you Mandy! Food is great, atmosphere good, super clean.

Lovely fresh food again. Carvery is excellent as is deserts. Thoroughly recommend as friendly efficient staff make you very welcome. Good value too.

We had a wonderful Sunday evening at The Gate, we arrived late having been at Arena Uk for an event, the staff were wonderful especially Aisha, Mid (food was fantastic) and Charlie, so friendly and helpful and the kids loved the ice creams at the end! We will definitely be back.

We visited for my friends Birthday. I had a voucher to have the carvery for £6 each. The young man that served us was wonderful, very helpful and carried our tray of drinks to the table for us. We all had a carvery which was spot on. Only complaint was the vegetables were a little cold, maybe a lid would help maintain heat. The cinnamon apple was amazing and I loved the added touch of the sprig of mint on the top. Nothing was too much trouble for staff. We had a lovely time.

I searched on Google maps and based on the uploaded pictures, I chose this place. It was a good idea! The place is nice, big and friendly. The staff is kind, polite and helpful. The menu is easy to understand, but I was caught by the buffet offer. You can choose three types of meat (Gamon, turkey, beef) and nearly ten side dishes. Of course, the indispensable sauces were also present, and they were delicious. The food was tasty and filling, everything was very tasty. Every day there is a promotion. I would like to agree separately that the toilet is clean, beautiful and smells good.

We turned up in a group of 7 late on Sunday night and although we missed the carvery, we were able to have other mains - the staff were welcoming and made sure we were happy with our food. The tater tots were amazing!

My Daughter and I called in on our way back from a day out (so not local) From the moment we walked in we received super friendly professional service. We both had a roast and the quality of food was great, plenty of food and amazing friendly service from James (iron ) the chief and the service from Ben and Mandy was 5 Star and we will return again on a Sunday day/ evening to sit in the courtyard that looked beautiful with the stunning lights. Keep up the amazing friendly service as the interaction with the children along with the standard of food will keep us coming back! Thank you all!

Wow! I came here on Sunday lunchtime. All I can say is a well done to each person working at this establishment. The food was just delightful, I can tell the chefs work hard with each dish. The service, wow, I can say it was extremely reliable and friendly. Rosie, in particular aided my family in all forms of service and request. Smiley faces all round, despite the hecticness. Love it. Wow. What an amazing place! We found it by accident on the way home from seaside and fell in love with it. Amazing decor, great food and good price! After reviewing breakfast menu, you could get „all you can eat breakfast” for £7.99!!! We ordered pizza and BBQ pulled pork burger!

Had a table booked for our daughters birthday, the food was lovely and the staff were amazing. Brought out a lovely desert with candle and happy birthday, they were so attentive, big shout out to Mandy & Ben who made it extra special for my daughter and I’m sorry I didn’t catch his name but the man on the carvery was so lovely. Will be back very soon :)

The man serving the carvery had shoulder length hair which should have been in a hair net under his hat. Would have preferred fresh veg,not frozen. Gravy had been sat for sometime as it had a thick skin on the surface. On a positive note we dined in a specific dog friendly area.

Really enjoyed it here. The lemon sundae was life changing! ☺️

I can only comment on the breakfast as that's all I've had here recently. For the price of £6.49 (I think) it's a really good price. You get get everything in a full English breakfast. The bacon is really nice, I like how it's got black pudding as alot of places don't include that these days. Fried eggs are nice, the fried bread is just too greasy for me. This sounds odd but the tomatoes are really nice, I know they are probably just from a tin but they actually taste really good haha. I'd return again, but I wouldn't make it a regular thing.

Came for breakfast the other morning was served by Kerry, nothing was to much trouble, Leah helped us at the table when needed more hot water for our tea, when we went to get our breakfast Leon was behind the counter putting more food out, which was great as all was fresh. After breakfast a person called Ben asked us if everything was ok, it was nice to have a meal when the staff on care about that your meal is ok and that you enjoyed well . Well done to the gap

Took my dad for carvery after visiting my mum in QMC with major stroke. Staff miserable didn't want to engage in conversations wasn't busy as only 2 more couples in.

Well what to say.... myself and my friends always come to The Gap Inn for our Tuesday evening carvery. There has been a refurbishment of the interior within the past year which has brightened up the place and there have been quite a few changes to staff, so we are getting to know them. There are still some familiar faces though, one of which being Ben who used to be a chef but is now a manager. Ben looks to be thriving at the role and he is always polite and friendly with us. We get on well with all the staff at The Gap Inn ( well, the one's we've met up to now ). Definitely going to continue to use this place as our Tuesday meal option. Top class work guys.

Came here for a meal. Stood at the carvery counter 10 min with no staff around. Eventually, a member came out to the ice cream section, so I asked for help to be told someone would come in a min. I looked through the kitchen door to find chef stood looking at his phone, so i knocked and asked for assistance. Even after doing this, I was still ignored. The place wasn't even busy. Wouldn't normally be an issue, but another member of our part had ordered food, so they sat on their own eating whilst we stood waiting for staff to help.

Had a carvery and it was very nice, but could have been hotter, Eden and Kerry were so very helpful and cheerful it was a pleasure to be here at the Muston Gap wholly and fully Recommended.

Been going many many years most weeks and always have a warm welcome and am looked after. Only criticism I don't use a mobile phone so miss out on lots of rewards. Why can't we have the card back that was stamped after each use, to eventually offer a free meal?

The service was amazing - I had lucy, liv and Rosie. They were very considerate and the food was wonderful!

The new decor and furniture is a vast improvement and we love the solar panels on the roof as an environmental effort. We enjoyed the vegan burgers and the quality of food has definitely improved since we visited a few months ago. Our chips were a little greasy to say they’d been oven cooked (to avoid cross contamination) but that would be our only criticism. Staff are always friendly, but further training would improve the overall experience - learning table numbers so the waiting staff aren’t wandering around looking lost and remembering to bring the sauces back to the table when asked. More vegan dessert options would be great too! Overall The Gap Inn has got a nice atmosphere and it’s a friendly place to eat and relax that’s good value for money. I’d also like to add that Ben and Jordan the Managers were fantastic and looked after us well!

Tuvimos un gran tiempo en la brecha. El restaurante era superior a otros restaurantes Stonehouse que hemos comido en. El personal era muy amable y servicial, especialmente Mandy & Kerry que estaban trabajando detrás de la barra. La comida y el servicio era excelente y sin duda volveremos.

Good enough for an inexpensive mid week dinner out. Crispy chicken was good for a starter, had the scampi and chips, not much you can do wrong with that, skipped dessert. Overall good, we'll certainly go again.
