Wonderful time looking forward to returning..!!!

I feel comfortable there, a staff member who serves are so nice, polite and kind. It is so clean place, 5 star for that. Just a music, it is so loud inside.

Ate here two days in a row due to being in Nottingham for work. The staff on both evenings were very friendly and helpful (first night lad with brown curly hair and next night tall lad with fair hair and a guy who was possibly the manager) The food was cooked nice and tasty. My daughter had the Hunters Chicken both evenings as it was the best. Great atmosphere, would definitely recommend.

The Grosvenor is an institution. It's location is everything. I've been drinking in there since 1986. Managers and interior decor come and go, bar staff change and the regulars change with the times but it's a big old fashioned pub in a prime location with a decent sized outdoor area that does reasonable food these days. What's not to like?

Food was OK, typical pub food to honest nothing special had fish and chips fish over cooked dried out chips frozen chips and frozen peas. salt and pepper chicken starter was the same crunchy and dried out ...but I was hungry so it had to do

Great afternoon with some friends, we shared a few plates and a couple of beers.

Came after work for some food and drinks and ordered a burger. It was cooked to perfection and was presented really well. The chef one shift was Kyle and I cannot recommend his cooking enough!

Dropped on for a pint to dodge the rain good service and a great outdoor area to watch the football ⚽

I would definitely return tasty food and friendly staff

This place is a dog friendly pub. Some idiots let their dog bark incessantly so I left fortunately before I ordered dinner. Seriously??!! #fail

Bad, overpriced food, 15 quid for fish n chips , crap

We met up with some friends for lunch. Great food, great beers. We were very well looked after by Ben. We will be back next time we re in Nottingham

My local so don't have to go far, fab outside space also has a large screen outside as well as several inside, good choice of beers and lager, bar snacks are fab and breakfast, just recently had a make over, loos always clean and staff friendly and good service

Very Quick And Friendly Service From Charlie Today. Makes Customers Feel Welcome In The Pub. Food was Amazing Well Done Chef. Very Fresh And Piping Hot. Very Delicious. So Pleased With My Visit And Would 1000% Come Back Here.

Had a Sunday lunch, was disappointed, seemed like it was just slapped on the plate, and was quite bland.

Very slow service, placed online order via App. 15 mins later the order still hadn't arrived, we had to chase. Finding the orders lying on the understaffed bar was not good.

Terrible service. Online drinks orders were 30 minutes late.

Stopped off there while visiting family in Nottingham very glad we did lovely pub with nice atmosphere very clean we ordered some food from the menu pie mash with brocoli and gravy it was delicious also scampi chips food was very tasty we shall definitely be going back there again when we return to Nottingham.

lovely food , good choice and good price

This was my first time here and I thoughly enjoyed it. The atmosphere was banging and everyone was so friendly, even the other patrons it was a different atmosphere that I can't explain. The member of staff who served me behind the bar was friendly, had a smile on her face, chatty and polite. The only thing that lets it down is that the car park is really, really small. I was lucky enough to get a parking space when I arrived as I really don't know what I would have done if I couldn't park. I'd probably have to go and find on-street parking somewhere, which would have meant walking back to my car late at night in an area I'm not familiar with at all. There was a live band on that night as well which was really good 👍

Me and my partner go there quite a lot for a meal and drinks all the staff are very welcoming especially Joanne and Ben would recommend the pub highly

Always come in here and get the best service from all the staff. Joanne always cracks a joke with us and makes us feel very welcome

Come in for the fish and chips once a week Cus it’s really nice. However it seems to be no matter what time I come in, every so often they just stop doing fish and chips and take it off the menu. Surely if the demand is high you will stock up more instead of just outright removing it from the menu. Edit - In retrospect I was hungry and had a long bank holiday weekend myself. I work 12 hour days in hospitality and have worked in restaurants so I should be more understanding. However like I said we come in every week as Sunday Mondays are our only days off. The pint of guiness that day was poured straight and not left to settle and that’s happened a few times. I get not every one will be perfect but when I get a taxi all the way there for some dinner and I pint and get let down you can probably understand some frustration. I have amended my review of service as usually the manager is on point with service and I’ve had one girl pour a shamrock on my guiness. I never write reviews but thanks for taking the time to respond to mine and I look forward to the elusive fish and chips next Monday!

I've been here with people and always enjoyed visiting. Today, I was out with our dog and had forgotten to bring water so we stopped here. They took such good care of us, getting water for Marley and giving him a treat. I enjoyed my glass of Lilleys (would have been rude not to buy a drink 😉). We'll definitely be back.

A busy pub with lots of different areas to sit. Decent service and choices of drinks.

Great value bar. Friendly staff and welcoming. Recently refurbished and looks modern and fresh with a great atmosphere. Lots of beers on tap with guest beers. Great bar for watching sports with lots of screens. Only visited for drinks but does serve food.

Ordered from the lunch menu, a sort of meal deal, requested rosemary fries but the ones that arrived didn't appear to be rosemary. However my steak panini was delicious and overall I was happy. Rose wine was awful but I believe that was my taste buds as I've not drank it in a while so wouldn't complain.

Didn't eat myself, friend I was with recommended, and his roast looked excellent... Watched Chelsea v Liverpool League Cup Final, excellent atmosphere, TVs to watch said footy on are everywhere, even outside... Great service at the bar also... Poor choice of on tap Cider though..., not enough to not give 5 star though

What can you say about this pretty little lively place. The staff are of the highest of politeness, kind and very friendly. All the visitors are also polite and courteous if they accidently bump into you or if they think they are jumping the que to be served. Highly would reccomend this quaint little place to enjoy a quiet drink with family and friends. 5 stars all the way.

Popped in, for a quiet pint and just wanted some chips to share with a visiting friend from up North. Really good atmosphere, plenty of parking and minutes from town for a quick train departure. Thanks for the beer and chips! X We will be back for the full menu.

Slow service, overpriced beer and not much choice on cask but it does look nice inside and out.

Decent Sunday dinner, abit tight with their portions and a grumpy guy was serving us but his mood changed in the end so he redeemed himself.

We finally visited this evening! Staff were lovely, accommodated our 8 person table with no issues at all, food came out in good time, and well presented. Only thing we noted was that for the money you pay the portion sizes were relatively small, but aside from that everything else was wonderful!

Fuimos a probar los macarrones con queso y la verdad que están buenísimos. Tienen mucha variedad de cosas. Si eres delicado para comer, aquí tienen de todo. La camarera fue muy amable con nosotros a pesar que no sabíamos el idioma a la perfección.

Out for our annual Christmas dinner….love the atmosphere - very friendly staff they really couldn’t do enough for us. Food was spot on, tables decorated beautifully along with crackers. Even had some live music on all in all a very pleasant evening had by all

Omg! The crispy chicken strips on the new festive menu are to die for. Crispy chicken, mini pigs in blankets, brie and cranberry sauce. My new fave snack. They do the best pint of Guinness too. Friendly staff, great atmosphere. Really enjoyed my visit.

We received excellent service from Olivia and Joanne who went above and beyond to give us the best experience during our Sunday lunch. It was a wonderful first visit and we'll definitely be back!

Went here for food and drinks to celebrate my birthday. From the outset the Manager was miserable and wasn’t interested in providing a good customer experience. Part way through the evening the 3 different cognac drinks we were drinking all ran out, my burger was hard and cold and the replacement burger was red and raw in the middle, the manager was abrasive and offered no apology just a reluctant refund, I said the raw burger could make me unwell, his response was “ I eat my burgers a little raw”, somehow trying to justify serving poor quality food. We took a fresh cream birthday cake and asked if it could be kept somewhere cold for an hour or so, being told “no” instantly with no explanation. We booked a table inside the venue but decided to move outside due to the frosty treatment from the manager. Overall a very disappointing experience in what is normally a vibrant place to eat and drink with friends and family.

Had a mixed grill for lunch. Chips, gravy, onion rings, sausages and salad were nice. Asked for steak to be a medium and was very undercooked, look like it was cooked rare. Gammon extremely chewy and both the steak and gammon were hard to cut. Chicken looks under cooked. Staff were pleasant however didn’t do anything once told. Not happy considering I’m a regular

Has no pineapple lilley's, unlike bowman. Pub is a waste of time, unlike bowman.

The food wasn't as hot as expected to be bar man, stressed about how hot plates were they wasn't that hot more luke warm, tasted ok but wasn't hot enough when delivered to table. Staff was polite but could of been friendlier to be real. The atmosphere was very dull, music was quite depressing considering the beautiful brightful colours of the furniture just didn't match for me. Won't be in a hurry to come back again unfortunately.

Lovely food, great service, was quiet so pretty good atmosphere for those of us who dislike people! 😛 Even has a treat, water and blanket cart for dogs.

A fantastic meal at this venue while visiting the area. Staff are extremely friendly and the food was incredible.

Food was good as you'd expect from a managed house with a set menu. When ordering drinks through the app would have been better had the staff noticed the ticket hanging out the machine! Thankfully the food order went straight to the kitchen otherwise we would have had to chase that as well. Will definitely eat there again.

Must have been a bad night for good service ! We visited for dinner tonight and sadly won't go back. We used the app to order drinks which took over 20 minutes to arrive ( pub was not busy) and this was apparently the app did not ping on the till ! Food was ordered via the app and arrived but my Katsu chicken and rice was cold . Then I needed to use the disabled loo but the door didn't open so asked at the bar and was told someone had stolen the key and it had to be opened with a knife, 15 minutes wait ( staff please don't make disabled loo users wait , sometimes it's urgent ) after asking again the loo was opened to use. Finally at 8.10 we ordered 2 coffees and by 8.50 they had not arrived. So we gave up and asked for a refund. Not a busy night at the pub so I've no idea why the staff took so long to do basic orders. Won't go again as not great service , staff were just not bothered and the food was just average.

Nice little pub , we decided to have a meal. I ordered fish and chips with mushy peas. Fish was lovely a little greasy but hay what do you expect when it fried 😊 enjoy my meal regardless, quite a popular bar nice friendly staff. I would recommend .

We love this place Always a warm welcome and consistent service Live that we can book our favourite spot and that dogs are welcome. What about a dog menu ( visited Lord Derby in Lytham st Anne’s and they have one) just an idea as reasonably priced steak and chicken for dogs means people stay longer

New outdoor covered area is really nice

Absolutely blown away. The quality of the food was fantastic (I had the gammon). Everything was perfectly cooked and a perfect portion. The barman Ash was very friendly and serves a perfect pint. I also enjoyed the fact that the staff member who brought my food actually came back to check that everything was OK, which is a nice touch for a pub. I'm not from the area but wish I had this place on my doorstep.

3 small plates for £13.50 is a pretty good deal. The place has been refurbished and the beer garden is perfect in the sunshine. The staff are friendly and reasonably priced drinks. My local now I'm in the area due to work
