Me and my partner go there quite a lot for a meal and drinks all the staff are very welcoming especially Joanne and Ben would recommend the pub highly

Always come in here and get the best service from all the staff. Joanne always cracks a joke with us and makes us feel very welcome

Come in for the fish and chips once a week Cus it’s really nice. However it seems to be no matter what time I come in, every so often they just stop doing fish and chips and take it off the menu. Surely if the demand is high you will stock up more instead of just outright removing it from the menu. Edit - In retrospect I was hungry and had a long bank holiday weekend myself. I work 12 hour days in hospitality and have worked in restaurants so I should be more understanding. However like I said we come in every week as Sunday Mondays are our only days off. The pint of guiness that day was poured straight and not left to settle and that’s happened a few times. I get not every one will be perfect but when I get a taxi all the way there for some dinner and I pint and get let down you can probably understand some frustration. I have amended my review of service as usually the manager is on point with service and I’ve had one girl pour a shamrock on my guiness. I never write reviews but thanks for taking the time to respond to mine and I look forward to the elusive fish and chips next Monday!

I've been here with people and always enjoyed visiting. Today, I was out with our dog and had forgotten to bring water so we stopped here. They took such good care of us, getting water for Marley and giving him a treat. I enjoyed my glass of Lilleys (would have been rude not to buy a drink 😉). We'll definitely be back.

A busy pub with lots of different areas to sit. Decent service and choices of drinks.

Great value bar. Friendly staff and welcoming. Recently refurbished and looks modern and fresh with a great atmosphere. Lots of beers on tap with guest beers. Great bar for watching sports with lots of screens. Only visited for drinks but does serve food.

Ordered from the lunch menu, a sort of meal deal, requested rosemary fries but the ones that arrived didn't appear to be rosemary. However my steak panini was delicious and overall I was happy. Rose wine was awful but I believe that was my taste buds as I've not drank it in a while so wouldn't complain.

Didn't eat myself, friend I was with recommended, and his roast looked excellent... Watched Chelsea v Liverpool League Cup Final, excellent atmosphere, TVs to watch said footy on are everywhere, even outside... Great service at the bar also... Poor choice of on tap Cider though..., not enough to not give 5 star though

What can you say about this pretty little lively place. The staff are of the highest of politeness, kind and very friendly. All the visitors are also polite and courteous if they accidently bump into you or if they think they are jumping the que to be served. Highly would reccomend this quaint little place to enjoy a quiet drink with family and friends. 5 stars all the way.

Popped in, for a quiet pint and just wanted some chips to share with a visiting friend from up North. Really good atmosphere, plenty of parking and minutes from town for a quick train departure. Thanks for the beer and chips! X We will be back for the full menu.

Slow service, overpriced beer and not much choice on cask but it does look nice inside and out.

Decent Sunday dinner, abit tight with their portions and a grumpy guy was serving us but his mood changed in the end so he redeemed himself.

We finally visited this evening! Staff were lovely, accommodated our 8 person table with no issues at all, food came out in good time, and well presented. Only thing we noted was that for the money you pay the portion sizes were relatively small, but aside from that everything else was wonderful!

Fuimos a probar los macarrones con queso y la verdad que están buenísimos. Tienen mucha variedad de cosas. Si eres delicado para comer, aquí tienen de todo. La camarera fue muy amable con nosotros a pesar que no sabíamos el idioma a la perfección.

Out for our annual Christmas dinner….love the atmosphere - very friendly staff they really couldn’t do enough for us. Food was spot on, tables decorated beautifully along with crackers. Even had some live music on all in all a very pleasant evening had by all

Nice pub ...staff are friendly .... The Guinness was spot on ..... N the pitchers of cocktails was even better !

Omg! The crispy chicken strips on the new festive menu are to die for. Crispy chicken, mini pigs in blankets, brie and cranberry sauce. My new fave snack. They do the best pint of Guinness too. Friendly staff, great atmosphere. Really enjoyed my visit.

We received excellent service from Olivia and Joanne who went above and beyond to give us the best experience during our Sunday lunch. It was a wonderful first visit and we'll definitely be back!

Went here for food and drinks to celebrate my birthday. From the outset the Manager was miserable and wasn’t interested in providing a good customer experience. Part way through the evening the 3 different cognac drinks we were drinking all ran out, my burger was hard and cold and the replacement burger was red and raw in the middle, the manager was abrasive and offered no apology just a reluctant refund, I said the raw burger could make me unwell, his response was “ I eat my burgers a little raw”, somehow trying to justify serving poor quality food. We took a fresh cream birthday cake and asked if it could be kept somewhere cold for an hour or so, being told “no” instantly with no explanation. We booked a table inside the venue but decided to move outside due to the frosty treatment from the manager. Overall a very disappointing experience in what is normally a vibrant place to eat and drink with friends and family.

Great pub always sport in to watch, and the staff are perfect

Had a mixed grill for lunch. Chips, gravy, onion rings, sausages and salad were nice. Asked for steak to be a medium and was very undercooked, look like it was cooked rare. Gammon extremely chewy and both the steak and gammon were hard to cut. Chicken looks under cooked. Staff were pleasant however didn’t do anything once told. Not happy considering I’m a regular

Has no pineapple lilley's, unlike bowman. Pub is a waste of time, unlike bowman.

The food wasn't as hot as expected to be bar man, stressed about how hot plates were they wasn't that hot more luke warm, tasted ok but wasn't hot enough when delivered to table. Staff was polite but could of been friendlier to be real. The atmosphere was very dull, music was quite depressing considering the beautiful brightful colours of the furniture just didn't match for me. Won't be in a hurry to come back again unfortunately.

Lovely food, great service, was quiet so pretty good atmosphere for those of us who dislike people! 😛 Even has a treat, water and blanket cart for dogs.

Had the function room with buffet for a party and had an amazing time. All the staff were fantastic and the food was enjoyed by all would definitely use again

Had a 60th birthday party here yesterday, such an amazing place to host one. Amazing food and the staff couldn't do any more than asked all so friendly. So helpful even with awkward questions haha. Would definitely recommend

Must have been a bad night for good service ! We visited for dinner tonight and sadly won't go back. We used the app to order drinks which took over 20 minutes to arrive ( pub was not busy) and this was apparently the app did not ping on the till ! Food was ordered via the app and arrived but my Katsu chicken and rice was cold . Then I needed to use the disabled loo but the door didn't open so asked at the bar and was told someone had stolen the key and it had to be opened with a knife, 15 minutes wait ( staff please don't make disabled loo users wait , sometimes it's urgent ) after asking again the loo was opened to use. Finally at 8.10 we ordered 2 coffees and by 8.50 they had not arrived. So we gave up and asked for a refund. Not a busy night at the pub so I've no idea why the staff took so long to do basic orders. Won't go again as not great service , staff were just not bothered and the food was just average.

Food was good as you'd expect from a managed house with a set menu. When ordering drinks through the app would have been better had the staff noticed the ticket hanging out the machine! Thankfully the food order went straight to the kitchen otherwise we would have had to chase that as well. Will definitely eat there again.

Nice little pub , we decided to have a meal. I ordered fish and chips with mushy peas. Fish was lovely a little greasy but hay what do you expect when it fried 😊 enjoy my meal regardless, quite a popular bar nice friendly staff. I would recommend .

We love this place Always a warm welcome and consistent service Live that we can book our favourite spot and that dogs are welcome. What about a dog menu ( visited Lord Derby in Lytham st Anne’s and they have one) just an idea as reasonably priced steak and chicken for dogs means people stay longer

New outdoor covered area is really nice

Absolutely blown away. The quality of the food was fantastic (I had the gammon). Everything was perfectly cooked and a perfect portion. The barman Ash was very friendly and serves a perfect pint. I also enjoyed the fact that the staff member who brought my food actually came back to check that everything was OK, which is a nice touch for a pub. I'm not from the area but wish I had this place on my doorstep.

3 small plates for £13.50 is a pretty good deal. The place has been refurbished and the beer garden is perfect in the sunshine. The staff are friendly and reasonably priced drinks. My local now I'm in the area due to work

Absolutely excellent great atmosphere, excellent food and superb service

Great pub for watching the footie! Didn’t sample the food so can’t comment. Great atmosphere and friendly staff. Only downside was it was a warm day and windows don’t open and there’s no air conditioning - although there is outdoor seating together with a large tv screen for viewing.

Won a competition ran by GEM radio to spend a meal voucher at the Grovesnor. Greeted by a pleasant young lady at the bar who had arranged for a table in a cool part of the pub (roasting hot day). Good variety on the menu, drinks and food arrived promptly. Food was hot and really nice. Had small plates to start, then a mixture of gammon, burger, kids burger, pie and chips had by our group, with room for pudding too 😊 Staff were very courteous, food really good and a nice atmosphere. Would recommend.

Visit Nottingham and this pub is great, food and drinks are great was here last night and then entertainment was priceless. So busy and lively. Here again today for food. Absolutely love it here.

We didn't try the food so can't comment but the helpful, friendly and engagjng staff did make some great recommendations... lemon cider - we liked it.. Great pub and can bring your dog! 🐕 lola (the bulldog) liked the drink too!

Had lunch while out with the dog. Spacious layout with variety of seating options Friendly attentive staff, tasty food, and a dog station with clean bowls, water dispenser and selection of dog treats too!

Was denied children’s food because I’m not a child. A bit rude since it’s cheaper because it’s less quantity. Other than that, food is overpriced and staff was rude.

Popped in for the first time today for a spot of lunch, food really nice and the young man behind the bar was very engaging , friendly gave excellent customer service, will definitely be visiting again x

I was asked by a toilet door to leave a review, so here goes: This is a top quality toilet. It smells decent for a gents, it's clean and the seat is comfy. I have plenty of privacy with which to do my business. My only concern is the low quality toilet paper, but these are hard times so I don't begrudge them for saving a bit of money there. I recommend leaving a bog brush out so I can clean up after myself if needed. 9/10 would poop here again.

Recently visited here first time since the re furb and new management. It looks absolutely fantastic, with a great selection of drinks at a reasonable price too, aperol spritz for 4.99 I’m still not over 😍 we did the 5 plates for £20.50 and was really nice would recommend, perfect to go along side an evening of drinks 🍹 service was brilliant and didn’t wait long to get served or for the food to come! Will be back! X

First time visiting after the refurb, looks absolutely amazing! Absolutely brilliant job from Jen and the whole team on a new start for the venue and the warm hospitality they’ve shown, we had 5 courses for £20.50, bargain for what you get and food was a lovely standard. Thank you once again to the Grosvenor Gang! Will be back again very soon!

Went in to see what it was like after refurbishment. Was OK but very cold to sit and enjoy a drink and food. Batstaff a little rude when asked why there was only one on, on the opening weekend when there was a queue at the bar. Other than that food was nice.

Great new revamp. Took our dogs to have a look. They even have a dig station with water, snacks, and blankets. The dogs loved it.

Meh food, it's what you pay for better else where but was ok for what it was. Fried roast potatoes were very odd.

Great food. We went on the last day just before they close for 4 weeks to do a refurbishment. Therefore was expecting anything great as the menu was limited. But how wrong can you be. Good service and amazing food cooked to perfection

Lovely staff and the food is pretty good for a chain pub. And they don't mind if you leave your car in the car park overnight if you decide to have a few extra beers 🙂🙂
