Gorgeous fish and chips, was nearly put off by some of the reviews but visited as looked and smelt good and we was not disappointed. Food was very fresh, fish was big and crispy, child’s meals were great value for money and fish and chips wasn’t much smaller than the standard portion so really good value. Don’t be put off by bad reviews as we had a lovely meal with no complaints.

Had a fabulous meal here today. Food was excellent and the service was 100%. The one little issue we had was dealt with professionally and extremely satisfactorily. Would highly recommend.

Came here in November for a meal The food was absolutely fantastic. Had a share platter (£97) The seafood all tasted so fresh and was cooked to perfection. The piece of seafood tart/quiche that came with it would have been nicer warm, we didn't eat it all, but the rest of the food was delicious. Will certainly return

Excelente comida, excelente servicio y personal amable. Qué más podríamos desear. Comí gammon, huevo, patatas fritas y guisantes. El gammon se colocó encima de las fichas con 2 huevos y cubrió todo el plato - Delicioso! Recomendaría 100%.

We had the pleasure of spending one night at this renovated hotel, complete with newly access to the spa and breakfast. From start to finish, the experience was exceptional. The spa area was truly a highlight—an oasis of relaxation. The breakfast was delicious, offering a variety of fresh, high-quality options, and the gym was the perfect way to start our morning. Everything felt pristine, with a delightful newness and impeccable cleanliness throughout. The staff were incredibly welcoming, attentive, and professional, ensuring every detail of our stay was seamless. The hotel’s modern facilities, surrounded by stunning natural beauty and located right by the sea, create an atmosphere of pure tranquility. It’s the ideal destination for anyone seeking comfort in a breathtaking setting.

We have been here a few times now, having only just discovered it and what a great find. The steaks are superb, I tried the fish and chips on our last visit which was equally as well cooked. The beer is also kept well, (we had doom bar). On top of that the staff have been both friendly and efficient on each occasion and for all these reasons I would highly recommend oh and the prices are very reasonable.

Service from the bar staff was great, food arrived as expected quickly and a decent quality. The pub is clean with a great selection of beers

Have visited here before. No problems with the food which is always good, as it was today. Arrived for table booked for 12.00, served drinks at once but had to wait for an hour for the food, and only when I reminded staff that we hadn’t been served.

We are at the pub in early December. Dani serving front of house was so friendly and such a lot of fun. Paulo in the kitchen cooked some really tasty food. I had the sea bass with kifler potatoes and superbly rich sauce. Definitely recommend the Sawley Arms as a summer or winter destination

Visited on a group night out. Food was good from the set menu and food service was quick. No table service for drinks, we had to keep getting up and going to the bar. Sadly not much of a Christmas atmosphere.

I changed my stay from one night to two the day before I travelled, this was my escape from London, my little getaway. I arrived early and was able to leave my rucksack behind the bar to enable me to explore Arundel. I had meals there both evenings as well as breakfast, no disappointment there all well cooked and delicious. The room was very comfortable, two good nights sleep. The only small thing I felt was that the corner of the wash basin was too close to the bath. Stand put staff were Brandon as gave excellent choices from menus, I was tossing between two on each course and he helped with the final decision. Also Yvonne in the mornings, very attentive service of the breakfast and great to chat to and knowledge of the area.

A thoroughly enjoyable Sunday roast in a wonderful village location for myself and my wife. A very warm welcome was given and although they were very busy we were given thoughtful consideration throughout. We will be back!
