Welcoming friendly team cooking food to order. Wide ranging menu and range of pies, quiches, breakfasts etc. all fairly priced and prepared in house. Good food cooked in the main to order. Good range of drinks including range of coffees is welcome. Popular with bikers including biker meet on Tuesday. That’s when I hint here weekly. Slightly odd to find as is the ground floor of a training company. Inside seating for about 30 people. Plenty of parking and close to A66 junction on edge of Preston Farm industrial estate. They also have a catering trailer at Vertu Honda at weekends. Worth calling in for a friendly welcoming visit.

My first time in the new location. The staff really are outstanding, I felt like I was being welcomed home! You immediately feel you are with friends even though I had not met any of them before. They do a great range of proper English cafe food, all the pies, sausage rolls, quiche, sandwiches looked very nice, but my dining partner wanted cooked breakfast. We got the traditional breakfast, it was larger than expected and very nice. The breakfast was so good I do not think I will be able to get pasted to try the other things, I will always order the breakfast. They also offer excellent value for money. The person I was with had a slight accident at the table and made a mess this was not problem for them at all and dealt with it fast and with out fuss. I am looking forward to returning

The company I work for decided to order in Christmas dinners as we had heard some great reviews about their Sunday lunches which they have recently started to do. We weren’t disappointed, absolutely beautiful, delivered hot and it had everything on it. Not one complaint. Would highly recommend.

Glad I looked up the latest reviews for the Pit Stop Diner as it had moved since my last visit. Just over the other side of the dual carriageway located inside the National Training Centre. Wasn't very easy to find as there were no signs indicating where it was but then again it was a windy day and were did see some signs as we entered. New location is a step up from the old premises and as first impressions count then should only help increase business. The food (breakfast) was as good as always. Have yet to try any other meals. Yes, Wetherspoons might be slightly cheaper but can't beat the quality (and temperature) of the breakfast here. Will definitely visit each time I'm in the area.

I’ve tried this place on numerous occasions in the past. Staff are always really welcoming and go out of their way to ensure that you feel welcome. The food is proper British grub and always fills a gap. Loads of options available from salads, pies to Parmos. They also offer daily specials so be sure to check what they are. I am aware that this place is soon to be relocated to somewhere over near falcon court so will be tracking them down again soon. Keep up the good work.

About time to. My visit to the pit stop has been long overdue. Long dog walk on the beach with my brother and grace the dog and a stop off on the way home for brunch. Small breakfast and a mug of tea just the thing after a rainy beach walk. Don't expect table clothes but the place is what it is a worky man's cafe ladies also welcome. Surrounded by pictures of motorcycles free papers to read and very welcoming. Staff are always friendly and food cooked from fresh and arrives hot. Quality sausages quality bacon and quality throughout. Tea just the right colour what more can you ask for. And brother paid today so even better. This was his first visit but won't be his last. Keep up the good work team pit stop. ... and in the words of the great man arny "I'll be back".

I usually frequent a Wetherspoons for my breakfast but when in Stockton I like to go to the Pit Stop. The breakfasts are always well cooked and hot. Most importantly they serve tinned tomatoes. Now I know some will say that a traditional English should have fresh grilled tomatoe but give me tinned any day of the week. Please don't be put off by the look of the place. It's a bikers/truckers cafe so suits it's main clientele. Besides, I go for the food not the interior decor. My breakfast this morning was lovely even if the mushrooms were a little greasy. Wouldn't put me off visiting again. It certainly seems popular and obviously delivers to businesses in the area. Overall very good and would recommend.

I have reviewed many so called top eateries on my travels and often regress back to my favourite places to eat. The pit stop cafe is one of them. Please dont expect aires and graces it is what it is a working mans cafe with working men in it who work hard and want decent food to keep them going and woud vote with there feet if they didnt like what was on offer. Ive been getting building work done to my kitchen so found i have been to the pit stop more regularly of late and enjoyed every meal from the all day breakfasts to mince and yorkshires to todays special steak sandwich washed down with a perfect cup of tea. The food doesnt come with garnish just good portions well cooked "well seasoned", quality food. The staff are friendly and service attentative. I sat today enjoying my meal and heard atleast 8 people leaving thanking the staff for the quality tasting food "quality, lovely that, excellent thanks pet that was mint". Is there a more honest clientel than the hard working lads paying hard earned cash for food, i dont think so. I would like to add my many thanks for good quality home cooked food not served in a fancy restaurant but a clean hygenic working mens cafe that many a over priced high class place could take lessons from. Give us what we want to eat food like mam use to make, make it hot tastey and filling. Pit stop and all the staff keep up the good work.

When I think of a Café - proper old and like the good old days... this is what I think of. Staff in here are always good craic and the food is always very good. Not modern in any way shape or form but good quality grub in a great little café served by good people. I love this café and will continue to use it whenever im passing by. Seems to be a popular place for motor bikers to visit too, so whether you have a 50cc or a 1000cc you will be made to feel welcome in here.

Road side diner, off the beaten track, biker cafe, not that greasy for a greasy spoon cafe as some have said, great staff, interesting clientèle, entrance signs on every side except on the actual entrance door so you might walk past it..we had hot shot parmo and 2 lasagne's lasagne nice enough meat/cheese and pasta and served piping hot,the hot shot parmo, is HOT if you like peppers and chillies that burn your mouth and make you lips numb you'll enjoy this ! the chicken is great plenty of flavour and nice crispy crunch to it. prices are insanely reasonable for the great quality and portion size.waiting time is about 20-30 minutes they seem to do a lot of takeaway meals for people, and these seem to take priority over 'staying in' customers on the day we went, but we weren't bothered about it.will be going back !

We were on bikes, there were 4 lads in having butties and talking cars, there was a young couple with a baby having lunch and the necessary old dodger on his own making a mug of tea last an hour having a chat to everyone. Lovely little place, really enjoyed our visit :)
