Out for a family birthday, food was excellent and the service also top glass definitely go again.

Excellent Michelin star standard food with great service and thoroughly memorable cuisine. We had a wonderful time and talked about how good the food was for hours. Great place 🏆🏅

Went last night before the panto. Wasnt very busy so got a seat quickly. 2 adults 3 kids. I ordered hotshot parmo its was lovely and no problems from me. My partner order curry of the day. tandori chicken she left most of it. I asked her why she said it wasnt very nice. I tried it, it was awful tasted like it had vinegar in the curry. She said she has had better microwave meals. I had to agree it was vile. My daughter had a kids pizza and chips. The quality wasnt the best of the pizza. My other daughter had scampi. she enjoyed and said it was nice. My other daughter just wanted onion rings. The batter was nice but onion was too thin. Need to start using a larger onion to get thicker rings. Overall would return for a parmo but probably avoid curries etc.

Music was a bit loud for a Sunday lunch time. The restaurant staff were nice and friendly. Food was okay. Ordered turkey as chicken was not available due to Christmas menu starting the next week. The meat was disappointing, seemed to be machine sliced rather than carved from a cooked turkey breast so looked like something you would get from the deli in a supermarket. (If they still existed). Veg was fine, Yorkshire pud was good. Edited review -raised to 4 stars after son in law told me his Parmo was better than those served in the Ship Rednarshall!

Still a lovely place and a great menu to choose from steaks fish and home made pies and soups. Well worth a visit very neat and tidy with a good selection of beers and wines. Excellent food and well prepared.

start, the venue was in the Halloween spirit with some fun decorations. The atmosphere was lovely, even as it got busier. The tables and carpet were clean, and the cutlery was laid out. I first ordered belly pork with bacon rosti and vegetables. Unfortunately, the pork was swimming in oil with what seemed to be some onion skin stuck to the bottom. The rosti was extremely salty. I could still taste the salt about 10 minutes later while waiting for a new dish. I notified the waitress, who was apologetic and offered a re-fire or an alternative dish. From experience, the same dish again usually doesn't differ when it comes to flavor and grease issues. I decided to play it safe and order the beef burger. It took roughly 30 minutes to arrive, which considering I had problems with the first dish, I expected it to be a bit quicker. Although they did receive a sudden, unexpected boom of customers that had come in since I received the first dish, they were clearly unprepared for it, seemingly not the norm for a Tuesday night. But they should have prioritized my dish, as I did see many plates leave the pass while I waited. It was a different waitress that took the reorder, so there may have been a miscommunication with the extra rush. I was also not checked on during the long wait and had to flag a waitress down for an update. The burger was as anyone would expect from any standard restaurant, although once again quite heavy on the salt. It also didn't come with fresh cutlery, and after a short wait, I decided to take some from another table. The service from the waitresses was polite and professional; however, I was disappointed overall with the issues above. I did speak to the manager at the end, and she agreed on the problems with the pork dish and salt content. It seems she is having to work with a difficult chef, which isn't really her fault. She took the criticism without getting defensive and kept professional. I ordered an apple and berry crumble to go, and it definitely saved the night. The fruit was soft, the crumble was crunchy and not at all soggy, and it wasn't too sweet. Absolutely spot on. In conclusion, the whole experience was about par. I received the second dish 45 minutes after I received the first, with re-ordering about 5 minutes after the first arrived. Food quality was obviously not on point, having to return the first dish. The staff, although polite, missed some key service points. The manager's great attitude and the pudding did bring the overall score back up at the end. On top of that the prices of the dishes are very fair. Also the manager put my drink on the house. I would consider going back hopefully when it's a bit less busy.

Fantastic food if you like a change of typical pub food. Highly recommend-little hidden gem.

We recently had our wake here for my Mam. The pub is lovely inside and out. The buffet was delicious and we had so many nice comments about it. On a difficult day all the staff did an incredible job and were so helpful. Thank you.

Haven't been here in years, however we thought we would try it on a Tuesday as it is 2 for 1, the food is sooo good, would highly recommend, stick belly pork flat breads and a prawn Marie rose flat bread as well. Will be going back for a proper night of food next time, highly recommend.

Me & my partner have been going here for a while now & it is a gorgeous lil village pub with a very joyful atmosphere. We recently went for a quiet meal & a few drinks & we weren't disappointed! Everything was excellent & both of us really enjoyed that night & will be going a lot more now. Definitely a quaint lil pub & well recommended too!

Great Sunday 2 course lunch for six people, good value great service ,staff lovely . only fault sears are a bit close together, I couldn’t get into my seat had to ask the man behind me to move in bit of a squash

Lovely meal Went for the Christmas meal. Very tasty Good service 22.03.2022 Steak, ale & mushroom pie, chips & homemade mushypeas....very filling Sunday lunch. Roast beef, roast potatoes, mash potatoes, vegetables Cauliflower cheese, yorkshire pudding, plenty of gravy. Very tasty & filling 😋

Lovely welcoming restaurant and bar! Not too pricey for the quality of decor and a very varied menu which has something for all! Lovely staff and a great outside seating area where you can bring your pooch for stop off on a walk. Will definitely be coming back again! The kitchen closes at 8 so will bear this in mind next time we want food and come along a bit quicker!

Love this place - food was great - not the usual pub grub, this was nice food, nicely presented without being posh or fancy. Good portion size for an adult and my elderly mums meal was reduced to an appropriate size for her (at our request) Absolutely perfect- will definitely be back

Food was excellent, and staff were very attentive, it wasn't very busy when we arrived but it soon started to fill up.

Ordered the Hotshot Parmo. Really delicious and filling. Really reasonably priced also.

When the weather is good, it's a great place to pop to that is quaint and a stones throw away from the pubs of Middlesbrough with excellent Guinness. Great beer garden in a lovely setting.

I really love this place. I have been a few times now with my husband. Although it is only a stones throw away from Billingham, you seem miles away. Fab place whether you want to sit outside and bring the kids for a couple of hours for a bite to eat, or have a cosy meal inside or even just a couple of drinks. There are seats and huts outside and a little play area for the kids. The huts are lovely and cosy. You can order food and drinks inside to be brought out. The resteraunt and the bar area are also lovely. The whole place has a great atmosphere and the staff are always so nice and friendly. There is a wide range of food and drink, and the food is always hot, fresh and beautiful.

Just called in today with Family. Parmo's were amazing, and other meals lovely too. Great service, too. Would reccomend 😍 and will be back

Mid week trip out for tea and hadn'tbooked but able to get a table. Staff were friendly and we got served in a timely manner. Had drinks and a main course. Plenty of choice on the menu but went for burger and home made chips.

Absolutely terrible, a parmo with out bechamel sauce !!! Fried to a crisp. Slow service , staff not bothered, not an apology or anything , really disappointed after our last visit. Would not return even if it was free !

Been here twice now and can not fault it. I've and the light bite parrnesan both times - just the right size. Enough to feel contently full, without being stuffed. My husband has had the belly pork. Both were absolutely delicious. Service is always friendly and prompt. I really like the decor, cosy and fun. Prices are really good. A great place. We'll be back.

It wasn’t great. We had to pre order because we were a large party. We waited quite a while between starters and main- an hour from when we first entered. The chicken burger was stone cold and greasy. 4 people in the party had mussels- the amount that were unopened amounted to nearly a full portion. Mentioned it to the waiter who really didn’t give two hoots. I expected more- especially when they knew what food we were having. A bit of customer service wouldn’t have gone amiss either.

Unfortunately this is easily the worst pub food I've ever had and I'm not fussy! We went for a 2 course festive menu on Xmas eve and should have known as there was only us eating. The soup was tasteless and the main course was very close to being inedible, the beef was so tough I could have resoled my shoes with it. When I told the waitress she responded with aaaaah, as if she felt sorry for me! Never again, in my opinion avoid at all costs.

Food great They was a lad who came over took our order he was great. Dno if he finished his shift or not but a lady took over. How miserable she was, I won’t return because of her. Went to pay bill didn’t say thank you or nothing.

Just had breakfast with Santa 24/12/23 well I say breakfast but what was served up was not good. Initially we were led to our table and ignored for ten minutes, a member of staff walked past and put a small glass of orange on the table, never said a word and walked off. The table wasn’t prepared, no Christmas cracker like other tables, no activity for our daughter like other tables. We were eventually offered a cup of coffee, however had to ask for milk which the staff member seemed unimpressed that we bothered her. 35 minutes later three breakfasts were placed on the table, of the three breakfasts one had no fried bread one had no egg and the child’s breakfast was more beans than anything else, the sausages were undercooked the bacon and black pudding were good though. The waitress totally ignored us the whole time we were there not once were we asked how our meal was or did we need anything like a coffee refill which would have been nice. All in all not a good breakfast with Santa. There are others in billingham which were fantastic this year.

Wow! This place is absolutely fantastic! Whilst on a course recently, the lunch was a trip out to the Three Horseshoes and I was really impressed! I love my food and trying new stuff, so whilst visiting Boro I thought I really had to try a parmo. OMG it was huge, cooked to perfection... So tender and tasty. My mouth is literally watering remembering it. Chips must be up there with the nicest pub chips I have ever had. I regularly come up north Yorks way on my motorbike... Might come a little bit further and bring the Mrs here for lunch. Bloody gorgeous!

We went just over a month ago. Despite all good comments didn't work for us . Food was way below average. The staff were nice . Anyway will not be back .

Just had another fabulous lunch. Service very good, food lush and prices very reasonable, washed down with a refreshing lime & soda followed by add a pud for £3. Nice decor too.

Food fantastic and on a Tuesday buy 1 get 1 free. The atmosphere is wonderful warm and clean and music playing but not so loud it affects the conversation. Outside is a lovely beer garden which includes a children's area with climbing frames and slides and when we went a bouncy castle. Best part of all was the staff they were warm and friendly and very understanding to the fact that one of our table has autism. It's very rare to find genuinely nice people but today we did. Will definitely be going back

Husband and I visited tonight with our granddaughter. We ordered the sharing platter between us, after the guy behind the bar assured us it would feed 4 as a starter or a light meal for us two. It was £25. There was 3 breaded mushrooms which certainly weren't garlic stuffed, 1 chicken skewer each, 4 prawns, the 'nachos' were 10 doritos in a very small dish..no salsa or melted cheese??. No chilli jam, no Brie, no garlic mayo, three pieces of garlic bread and the paté which was the only nice bit. After bringing this to the waitress's attention we were offered a complimentary dessert...for one. Presumably with three spoons? We declined. . If this was offered as a starter for 4, they would have got half a chicken skewer and one prawn each? And one would have had to forgo a mushroom and a piece of garlic bread! Very disappointing in every way, both the meal and the response.

Ordered a half parmo which turned out to be about the side of a chicken leg. Small scabby chips on two plates and decent sized ones on someone else's. "Salad" was just a pile of peppers, onions and cucumber. Steak pies looked like school dinners. Cooked in a big slab n portion scooped onto your plate. It all tasted fine at best. Overpriced for what you get. Very cramped and was seated blocking the fire door. Car parks too small, but I guess they realise people won't be visiting more than once. Only good thing was the service from the waitress.

I went on a Sunday with all the family which was very good and all the family thoroughly enjoyed it. At the time I noticed a special board for each night so I decided to take the granddaughters as they love cod and chips. We went tonight and it was very greasy and I wouldn’t go back as what I say if a cook can send those chips out full of grease then the cook is dreadful. Sorry but wouldn’t try this again.

Will definitely come back to eat. The food was gorgeous. I had seafood pasta and the best tasting for some time.

We weren't intending any drink or food, but.. Passing a beer garden, parking space, sunny day, fate. We only had a beer and a snack, but they were both excellent. The young (everyone's young to us) staff were cheerful, attentive and quick. We'll be back for

Family group of eight including two children. Seven of us had food. Ordered Chicken Fajitas x2, hot chicken in a cold sauce. Hot Shot Parmo more bechamel than chicken breast. Plain Parmo, as above. Belly pork at room temperature. Fillet steak has no comments due to the polite recipient. Child's portion of Lasagne seems to be the only positive to come out of our evening. Will not return until the good standard of food returns. Tried to comment on TripAdvisor & Facebook but strangely it was not possible.

Waited an hour and 45 minutes for our meal. No apology, no explanation. We were told people were informed when we queried it. Certainly we were not, neither were the people on the table next to us. Their complaints were responded with the kitchen are going as fast as they can. Just be honest with people when they order, we understand when people are busy. Food definitely not up to usual standard. Portion size tiny, salad non existent. Food is cooked fresh to order None of the lovely coleslaw or usual lovely dressing which was replaced by mustard! Staff didn't want to know. Such a shame was a lovely pub and hopefully will be back up to scratch.

Me and my husband came tonight for the valentines menu. The food was absolutely beautiful presented gorgeous too. We had the garlic mushrooms chicken dish and baked alaska. We have been before for meals and always to perfection. Lovely service from waitresses and waiters well done three horseshoes you did yourselves proud. I’d advise anybody to eat here

Had salted caramel cheesecake no biscuit base.And it was a dollop of all I can describe as eating margarine..This is not a cheesecake I've never seen a cheesecake like this before I didn't say anything as I'd never have a desert again hence my negative review cheesecake has biscuit base this was hardly any just a tiny bit as if it been grated on bottom snd cheesecake was not set like I say a dollop and it's not worth the money

We had a lovely meal. We specifically asked for halibut and weren't disappointed. The chef made a cracking sauce including samphire (a real hassle to source). The fish was cooked just right. All in all a cracking meal.
