Very poor service, service staff very abrupt waited nearly an hour for our lunch served 6 of us then another 10 minutes to bring the other 2 lunches out. Meals were only warm beef was tough and very fatty chicken over cooked and dry plate consisted of 2 roast potatoes 1 piece of broccoli 1 piece of cauliflower 1 thin parsnip and a carrot split in two. Very poor portions for the money. Won’t be returning.

A well designed course with strategic bunkers, some that are not visible from the tees. A good mix of risk and reward holes for all golfers.

A really nice golf course indeed good club house would reccomend a visit.

A pleasant environment to hold a wedding venue. Food was excellent and well cooked. Staff were very attentive and the prices at the bar were reasonable.

What a great golf course and fantastic staff. The green staff did an amazing job despite the weather! A very good and challenging course that offers reward but can also bite you. Loved the three days I spent at the club!

Disgusting place employs head chefs who think it's OK to touch innocent people up who are just trying to do there job and they get sacked for being abused avoid! No one should be abused at work

Met friends for tea/coffee and bacon sandwiches. Asked for drinks to arrive with food, drinks arrived a good 10 minutes before food arrived. Sandwiches were tasty.

Great place for breakfast or brunch

Was recommended but ended up disappointed food was luke warm with some items cold. 2 of the party asked for food to be reheated but everyone food was lukewarm.They did take our cost of the drinks off bill but at nearly£18 for a lunch disappointed. Wont be returning

They made a mistake with the booking and as a result we were seated in the bar area which was a lot noisier than the restaurant. Service was slow. From arriving to the starters of a bowl Tomato soup and a Prawn Salad took 40 minutes. The beef in the main course was hard work, difficult to cut and very chewy. You don't get a second chance to make a first impression. We won't be going back.

Booked up several months ago for an open competition and have been looking forward to it. Played today and it didn't disappoint. Superb golf course with lots to offer all standards of golfer. After heavy rain yesterday the course was definitely wet in places and the fairway bunkers were GUR. Everything else was good though including the impressive clubhouse. A return visit is definitely on the bucket list.

One of best places to eat around Wynyard. Lovely attentive staff. Sunday lunches excellent value & large portions, all cooked perfectly. My wife is vegetarian and they go out of their way to cokk her food longer, as al dente generally hurts her gums. Plus for the golfers is watching the large screen tv and 18 th hole. Decent drink range & prices.

Course was in great condition, running fast. Just stay out of the rough 😣 Staff in clubhouse were friendly and the food was great. Good selection at the bar as well.

A group of 9 people. Service below average as waited a long time for each course and the group were not served at the same time. Beef and pork not very tender. Disappointed and will not return.

Popped in for the first time after voting next door. Very relaxed atmosphere and great service by our waitress (didn’t get her name unfortunately). Excellent food and good sized portions. Will come again.

It's a nice course and it is February so will definitely be better in summer but it's quite exclusive and probably out of my price range most of the time. The house's that surround it are amazing though

Took a small society (9) using a couple of corporate tees plus one other. Had coffee and bacon rolls prior to our round which were fine. Staff looked after us very well. The course was in great condition and the greens quick despite being recently hollow-cored. Always been well looked after at Wynyard.

Great GC, a really good test, course in magnificent condition, just wish I could bring my "A" game to it.

Would have given five stars but just a few points to make. Attended a wedding here recently which was a lovely day. Food was great but glasses on the table where not collected and during the interval to change the room over for the evening reception guest went into the bar area. People were refused service at the bar because they weren't members so had to go into the other room to get a drink, only one member of staff behind the bar serving whilst in the bar area there were three.

Attended a wedding here and what a fantastic venue this was. The staff were great and really helpful, highly organised and extremely accommodating. The food was absolutely delicious, really well presented and efficiently served. I can only highly praise everyone involved. Thank you so much for a really great day.

Roast beef dinner was cold when served to our table of ten. Room was cold too. Not comfortable experience really. Might try again when the gas price goes down as it seems it wasn't on today

Lovely place to have a bite to eat. Very relaxed atmosphere and wonderful view onto the lush green course. You don't need to be a member or play golf to partake of the great food! Would highly recommend

Just played 18 holes at wynyard with our golf society. Firstly i was surprised it was open after the torrential rain the day before. The course was in great condition for time of year. Greens were great and not too slow. Finished off with steak pie peas and chips. Delicious. Well worth a visit.

Played the course today and very disappointed at the state of the greens. I normally play this course at least once a year but over the last 2 years these greens are in a horrible state, for being a premium course a lot of work needs doing to improve the greens. As for the course it's a great layout and a good challenge of golf even for a low single figure handicapper like myself. Something in my eyes needs to be done to get this course back up to the standard that it should be again. Think it'll be a good few years now until I return.

Played Friday greens not great but they said that to us and gave us a free fourball voucher. Played here loads and normally really good. Service in the bar / restaurant very slow tho 45 mins for a bacon sandwich nearly missed our tee time and over priced also. Just don't seen prepared for opens 🤔

Have been here previously - service and food were exceptional, and this was a weekly afternoon and evening haunt of ours. And we could not fault it. It would appear the staff no longer care, they have lost all manners, and show little want to satisfy the customer. They stop selling food when they fancy, even when they advertise as doing food until 6.00 and 8.00pm. You seriously need to sort things out or you will have little custom to look to to.

Great place to go for breakfast. When the weather is nice it's lovely to sit outside on the terrace and let the kids play on the lawn while we have a coffee

Great course. Bunkers were poor.

Don't be fooled by the panini's. They are just baguettes with filling disguised as panini's. However, they were well filled, well flavoured and very filling. Reasonably priced and unpretentious. A beautiful setting and despite catering a wedding at the same time as our visit the staff were attentive. Plenty of seating, both inside and out. I will definitely return.

Not the toughest golf course in England, l enjoyed it and would play here again.

An amazing and exclusive venue for golf but you can also drop in as a non-player food and drink. It has a great menu, the food is out of this word and they have some great beers too. The staff are fantastic too, great service!

My visit was for a funeral reception, the catering staff were friendly and the afternoon tea was first class.

Completely gone down hill, dry meat. It looked like a school dinner. No flavour. Service was terrible. Didn’t ask how the food was. And the price has gone up which is hilarious considering the food and service has gone down.

As you would expect a great track which you need to think your way around. Plus the staff were very good under the circumstances. Certainly worth a visit.

Good course, good greens, good friends, good round, good craic, good laugh. Goodbye x

Excellent course, bar service very slow

Went for an evening wedding reception. Food was good. Nice outdoor seating area. A good wedding venue.

Having paid £72 per person I expected the Xmas Day lunch to be good! Not so.. the food was terrible, starter of smoked salmon and prawns was tasteless, poor quality prawns, no flare whatsoever. The main was very bad, turkey arrived with all the veg (apart from broccoli cheese) on the plate, all piled up like you’d expect at a cheap pub, mash was cold! Very poor quality ingredients/veg used and all over cooked. Pudding was ok! Ordered coffee & tea and all came already in the cup (no tea pot)! All paid up front

Not as good as previous visits. Staff unaware of what was available on menu and limited choice of beer as they had run out (Sunday lunchtime).

Great course. Lovely place around.

Got a free round courtesy of a car garage. Very nice course. Very open and some very wide fairways. Quite a lot of well placed bunkers and greens are all protected by bunkers. Enjoyed the round, quite a walk in that you cross the road a few times and hardly ever walk up and down the same field, it's spaced in between large houses and even saw a bird of prey. Would play again if i could not pay the £50-70 green fee for visitors.

Not too bad. Lovely area and surroundings but quite pricey. That's down to the location though and you pay for what you get.

It was alright. I found it very straight forward, a bit flat a bit wide and a bit boring. Plus it was freezing on the day.
