Costa in Stockton-on-Tees

Lovely staff, great atmosphere.

Always the most politest costa coffee venue I have ever been in, anywhere across the country. The staff run it like it is a locally owner outlet. They are always polite, go the extra mile and have regulars that maintain a good atmosphere. Costa would do well to try and replicate what this outlet does as it adds the “magic”

When we arrived for coffee. It seemed like the staff were OTT when we arrived, but we put it down to youthfulness. However having ordered coffee we sat down to wait for it to be delivered to our table, and at that point we realised that it was chaos. The young men behind the counter were rude, and their attitude towards a wheel chair user they were serving was disgraceful, in their looks, their winks between themselves etc etc. We were appalled - it was a thoroughly uncomfortable and unpleasant experience.

Used be great but now it's terrible. the upstairs is barricaded off by junk to prevent use so they don't have to clean it. No room to sit downstairs so we left. Boooo! Area manager do your job!

Every time I come here I am quickly served by polite, happy, relaxed employees. I don't know how the management is operating at this location, but it's clearly working. A very pleasant atmosphere.

Staff always friendly and helpful and do the coffee I love, the purple one latte, sat in for my butty and then went for a walk around Yarm 😁, your can even see two baby deer in background 😁

Visited Yarm costa today and I have to say the two men that were working there were amazing in every way. Very friendly, efficient and enthusiastic. They took our tray to our table and everyone elses which they didn't have to do and as soon as a customer left they were straight there to clear and clean the table. They are both a credit to costa, maybe they should be training staff in other branches to show them how its done, thank you!

amazing customer service especially by a certain worker with a har monica and various piercings he is so nice and it’s nice to enter the shop and be treated nicely.

We sat outside Costa in the High Street today. A friendly member of staff brought our coffees out on a tray. The coffee was in proper cups. Great and lovely coffee too.

Visited today at your Yarm shop( Saturday 8th October) and wanted some gluten and dairy free products . Lovely young lady serving advised what options available, and hot chocolate drinks made up by a really friendly barista. Thanks to all, you made It all so easy. Look forward to another stress free visit

Just bought my girlfriend into this Costa for a hot chocolate, she thought it was really nice. I'm really impressed with the cleanliness and hygiene in this costa. The staff members in this Costa are extremely polite and friendly. I'm definitely coming back in future vists to Yarm.

Staff are friendly. We always seem to end up here around closing time but we never feel rushed. I just think the snacks are little expensive to give 5*. So lost one star to poor value.

I ordered breakfast for my grandchildren as their mum was Ill. Estimated delivery time of a maximum of 45 minutes. 2 hours later still no food . Rang several times but phone wasn’t connecting. Went to the shop to ask where food was but told my order had been cancelled because they didn’t have a driver. Not sure why they couldn’t have let me know or informed me that my order had been cancelled earlier. Manager very unsympathetic and not acknowledging of any responsibility on their part

I had reason to complain to the manager who, instead of listening to my legitimate complaint, continued to talk over me. She was rude, argumentative & refused to listen to reason. Never again, back to Cafe Nero for me...

Tables could have been cleaner and cleared sooner.

Went in, in response to the advert about celebrating 50 years of Costa with a 50p iced drink. Treated like a scrounging, cheapskate by the women who made me prove to her multiple times I was eligible, even though the first thing I had was the barcode out, after 5 embarrasing minutes of logging back into the app, resetting my password and My kids running around going wild finally got the thing up, which was what i had shown her in the first place. Why have an offer to attract people in, if the only thing you want to do with them is shut them out, discriminatory, sh@tty behaviour. Will never go back!

Great coffee service and staff so friendly

I regularly go to this costa, however the current manager is plain rude! 3 different occasions I have been this week, the first visit the manager screamed loads of orders at one girl at once, not allowing her to remember any. Each of the 3 visits my one drink I ordered was wrong and they had to remake it. Each time I have been made to feel like it’s my fault they have not made what I have ordered and paid for. The manager snaps and sighs because she has to make it again. I feel they rush through lots of orders at once, instead of making sure they are all right.

Lovely as usual, can't fault Costa. Everything was well organised and the shop was clean and tidy as you'd expect during this pandemic.

I placed an order with Uber Eats ,,, they did not bring it to me and they left me in a bad place with a visit from my friends ,,,, to my surprise they charged me for the order ,,,, I have felt cheated and cheated.

Pleased to find this places opens at 7am which was ideal to meet a friend and grab a coffee before being picked up in Stockton high street for a coach trip. Usual menu, nice and quiet at that time of day

Very friendly staff who remember thier regular customers and always full of energy.

Pleasant and efficient service. Clean and tidy. Toilet was better than the usual Costa effort.

Served by staff who clearly don’t want to be there !! And full of nauseating pretentious kids from Yarm school and there equally socially unaware parents .

Yarm Costa is the best one, the staff are awesome and will even make large black forest hot chocolate (the menu only does it is small and medium!)

It is what you expect to find and you will not be disappointed. The staff are clearly motivated and keen to help. All good.

Love this coffee shop - staff are really friendly and service is great. However the cakes etc need to be covered properly. Went in today and there was a fly crawling all over one of the cakes. We pointed this out and a member of staff removed the cake but the fly continued its journey around other uncovered cakes. Some are protected but others are not. This need sorting.

Came in today with my sister just for a quick coffee whilst out shopping and the two young lads working are so friendly and polite, such a nice change from our local costa. One of the lads was called dan but didn’t get the other persons name. They are definitely a credit to the store

When arrived there was no queue whatsoever yet there were empty tables with dirty cups, plates on. Whilst being served by 1 server the other was sat on the floor behind the counter and proceeded to tell me he had been up for 18hours as he was out last night and hadn't been to bed - not my business! As I then proceeded to find a "clean" table after dropping a subtle hint that there weren't any the servers still remained behind the counter, even though there was no one else to serve. After being there over 20 minutes, the tables were still not cleared. Such a shame that Caffe Nero are not open til 7pm as their coffee is far superior and so is their customer service

Great food and drink. The chaps working were super quick and funny despite an issue with one of the machines. Took my boys their for a spot of breakfast waiting for the wife. Sausage sandwiches were lovely. My eldest recommended the hot chocolate as its better than the one I make.

Excellent staff, superb service, however cheese scones have been taken off the menu at this shop resulting in having to take my business else where even though I rate the service there. Please bring back the cheese scones !!!

Staff are so lovely, friendly & helpful. Bring drinks to you without needing to be asked, help people with disabilities far beyond what they need to. Cafe is impeccably clean too

Love the coffee. Staff very helpful and friendly. I struggle due to being dairy free vegetarian but do have vegan although very limited. Please expand dairy free and vegan options

Costa coffee is really good Quality coffee they also do sandwiches toasties and cakes which are delish prices can be a little expensive but not too bad .

Popped in for a coffee on a Thursday evening staff very friendly as usual. Had a delicious flat white. Always clean and tidy.

Called in for a cuppa this morning and the staff are like whirlwinds, fast, efficient, friendly extremely productive but the noise from the pot wash area is horrendous!!!!! My ears were killing me when we were sat at the table nearest the back kitchen but the door was open and because the staff are so fast it’s like they were loading and unloading the dishwasher at 90mph. I know it’s a daft thing to whinge about but for the love of life (and ears) shut the kitchen door. I sat there the whole time watching the amazing staff but listening to clattering I wanted to get up and shut the door myself and I ended up having a headache and I don’t want the staff to feel anything bad but please please “Shut the door”.

As you might expect from Costa coffee franchise. The usual offering in terms of beverages and consumables. Comfortable surroundings in a market town setting.

Not your usual Costa experience! As soon as you walk in, a warm and genuine welcome from the team behind the counter. They were chatty, friendly and genuinely seemed happy to get me a hot drink of my choice. Compared to other Costa coffee shops, the energy here is consistently positive and injects a bit of energy in to the start of my day (as well as the caffeine). I'll definitely use this as my go to coffee place from now on!

On December 14th our daughter was in a show at the princess Alexandra auditorium. We needed drinks and food as we had a few hours to kill. We visited the Costa on the high street and were served by 2 guys who were friendly and extremely helpful and nothing was too much trouble. They we're just 2 guys doing a brilliant job and seemed to really enjoy their job! Id highly recommend a visit for a great experience.

Service and staff are excellent good quality coffee and cake.

Normally go in Cafe Nero as I like their coffee but as there was no seats we went to Costa. Very efficient service, friendly staff and enjoyed the coffee and ambience

Historic building with surprisingly large interior and bright, modern decor in the standard Costa style. However, as the ceilings (especially that downstairs) are fairly low, the atmosphere is actually rather cosy. Usually fairly busy and can feel a little crowded on the ground floor, in which case it may be preferable to head upstairs as this is considerably more spacious and also has a limited amount lounge seating available. Friendly staff, who provide a quick and efficient service.

Yarm Costa, the staff were lovely and very attentive. Not been here for some time, but would go back.

I have had a lot of Costa's from all over but the staff in this branch are the nicest by far always remember your order, although i throw them sometimes when i fancy a change very friendly and welcoming, now its been renovated its a lot nicer inside too.

It's Costa, you get what you expect really. The staff have always been more than accommodating though and I will definitely be returning regularly.

Upstairs tables not being cleaned frequently enough.

Everytime I visit the same welcome by Staff is given........one of politeness 1st Class Customer Service and to sit in is great as atmosphere is always welcoming.

The place has had a makeover and seating is available upstairs too..... staff remains friendly as before.....

Great service by enthusiastic staff, very clean Cafe and the newly converted upstairs is well laid out. If only all Costa Cafe were as good as this one?

Visited for lunch with my young daughter and my Mum. Service is always great and today was no exception. The new raspberry cake was to die for and I think the upstairs is a great addition. One barista went the extra mile with my daughter and chatted with her which was lovely.

The service is quick and the food is just as good as any other Costa. Note though this store is very small and their is not much indoor or outdoor seating
