I searched Google maps to find a good place for breakfast to fuel me up for an afternoon of cricket ( watching not playing I hasten to add) T & 2 Sugars caught my eye, the name more than anything. I’m glad I chose because the Bacon and Tomato Sandwich and cup of tea that I chose really fit the bill. I would definitely visit again. Thank you T & 2 Sugars

I was attracted by how clean the premises looked, spotless windows, tables, floor, serving area. The menu is surprisingly extensive from full meals, to snacks. The server who took my order was attentive, welcoming friendly and charming. The other server who brought my food and cutlery to the table was equally so. Then the cook / chef / owner came from kitchen and checked with those of us eating if we were happy. I had a toasted panini with chips and salad and I cannot fault the meal. Panini full and crispy, salad fresh and fries actually crispy (so many places serve them undercooked). Price for this delightful lunchtime snack to fortify me for a 4 hour journey was the great value £7.95. I regret living so far away, I’d love to use the restaurant more.

With Louis back at the helm it’s good to know that this restaurant can be relied on to serve superb home cooked food. The steak pie is delicious with melt in the mouth steak and excellent vegetables cooked to perfection. Desserts are superb too with Apple strudel or crumble my favourite. Great value too and the staff are so welcoming.

A superb cafe excellent food, staff are excellent great value for money, would highly recommend. Good menu with lots to choose from, lots of gluten free options, Sunday roasts are amazing, will definitely return !

We love going for Sunday dinner at this wonderful little cafe! The food is exceptional and of very good quality. Sunday dinners ( available all week) are very generous with real roast potatoes and mash, yorkshire pud, a good helping of meat and , what matters most to me, lovely fresh cooked vegetables. Service is quick and very good too. Just give it a try, one day when you're really hungry. You won't regret it! Huge thankyous to Louis and your lovely staff!

We popped in for brunch unexpectedly. The cafe was spotlessly clean and the waitress was very polite. I had a jacket spud - as for as spuds go it was lovely and fresh, nice dressed side salad. My husband had a full month breakfast which was huge, well presented, fresh and the plate looked clean and inviting. I was quite jealous! Piping hot latte coffee in a proper mug. We will definitely visit again. The waitress mentioned the old owner being back in charge and its a shame about the negative reviews prior to his return. We would recommend and as far as cafes go this has to be up there with the best quality in the town.

This wonderful cafe has just reopened and is back under the stewardship of Louis, who owned and ran it several years ago. The traditional menu is back and we had two really lovely roasts, with a mix of fresh vegetables, delicious roast potatoes and mash, yorkshire pudding, roast pork and roast chicken. We were so full but managed a little ice cream to finish off. The cafe has been redecorated and the counter reorganised making the cafe look lighter and more spacious. Service was excellent and the young ladies were helpful, bright and cheerful. Louis came out to talk to his customers, to make sure we were happy with our food. Also spotted a few old faces in there, all very happy to have their old cafe back again. A lovely experience and we will be back next week for more!

Ordered today did think it was strange no one actually eating but ordered 2 breakfasts 2 drinks waited a bit for drinks but she apologised x after 45 mins 3 tables who ordered their food after us served asked 3 times how long food would be . Don’t know. On its way twice we asked if we had ordered they maybe should of checked here cafe was not busy after getting told our food was getting cooked went sat back down ☹️ Nope 10 mins later went to get a refund girl did try to apologise telling us our food had gone to some one else no it hadn’t 3 times we were told 3 different answers and THEY only refunded the food after nearly an hour of keeping us waiting avoid if you want to actually eat also take out getting served in between while we were waiting bad service

I was greeted by lovely staff, it was my first time there so I didn't know what to expect, my coffee was delivered promptly, the wait for the food also was not bad considering how busy it was. a young lady called polly or poppy I can't quite remmebr, assisted me very politely with any enquiries I had. I will definitely come back soon!

Came to the cafe today for breakfast /lunch we were the first people to order and then another 2 small tables came in after us and had Sunday lunch ...(witch would take longer to preper than our food with was strange) a couple came in order brekkie and then another man order and were served and we were still left waiting for our breakfast with our coffees and waited 40 minutes with still no food so then got offered the wrong plates of food so it hadn't even been started or plated up absolutely devastated as a local chef I'd love just have somewhere where I can go and have a nice breakfast.... we had an hour and a half spare of a very busy morning, thought we treat ourselves.. never again shall we bother ...I was nice enough to pay for the ok coffee but not willing to wait another half hour for food .

Went on a Sunday , we fancied a breakfast all be it 2pm . Went for the full monty, . A good sized breakfast , looked exactly like the picture above ( a lot of places food look nothing like what they advertise). Good friendly service. Would recommend

Worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. The woman shouted at me when I asked to swap my mushrooms, coffee was like porridge, food was microwaved greasy mess and after the woman shouting about me getting toast with my food she then proceeded to forget to bring me it. The waitress seemed nice but the main woman running backwards and forwards to the kitchen was genuinely quite scary. I will never be coming back again. AWFUL

I’ve been ordering my roast dinners from heat for a few weeks now and it’s absolutely amazing!! Yorkers are massive and everything is perfect size.and so tasty! I would definitely recommend ordering a roast from hear

Swore I would never set foot in this place after being told I would have to pay for extra gravy for a Sunday lunch!!! This has since changed hands and i am glad to say is not under the management of the previous ‘miser’. Ordered the all day breakfast and must admit I was not disappointed. Clean plate, very hot food and extremely fresh produce. Did not want the Hash Browns and the Manager asked me (rather than me asking them) if I wanted to have an additional item instead! At £4.99, a fantastic price coupled with great service. My family WILL start to visit again. Thankyou.

So , I know the owner Anthony from his days at the Half Moon in Grendon. I'm a little bias but it is totally warranted ..This guy is a truly gifted Chef ! When I found out he had taken over the T&2 Sugars on the Welly road my Wife and I started popping in for breakfast.We have since worked our way through the menu , Full English , toasted sandwich's , Fish & Chips , fried calamari , Steaks and most recently the brand new burgers he has added to his menu.We ordered 2 of the fully loaded Chicken burgers , a Codfather & a Smelly Nellie 8oz Beef , bacon & Stilton burger with some sides.The chicken breasts were hand battered , none of this pre battered and frozen chicken nonsense .. All fresh , stacked high with onions rings & hash brown plus salad and a homemade burger sauce .. My kids went nuts .. so much better than the plastic food we get from the usual franchises and for pretty much the same money ..The Codfather , also hand battered nice fresh piece of fish .. it didn't even fit in the burger box it comes in. The chips can be skinny French fry style or thick and chunky.I had the 8oz pure beef burger topped with bacon & stilton with salad and the same burger sauce on a brioche bun. Everything was amazing , better than any takeaway we have had recently ..Give this place a try and keep the local business’s going in these very difficult times .. If we don’t they won’t make it and we will be stuck with the franchises forever !

Ordered the steak pie, mash and veg.. The pastry was homemade, the beef tender and the creamy mash was to die for! Will definitely order another 1 for take away!

Found this little gem on high st. Was in an area I'm not familiar with whilst visiting a friend. Was overwhelmed with quality of food and service. Would highly recommend to everyone. Will definitely go there again next time I'm up there.

We arrived close to closing time fearing we would be too late for something to eat. The manager welcomed us in, provided an excellent mixed roast and was in no rush to close even half an hour after the restaraunt should have been shut. Good service too, all round an excellent experince.

Staff were very helpful and polite, which is a bonus as you don’t seem to get good manners nowadays. Service was quick from ordering and breakfast was delicious. The place was bright and clean and inviting.

I've been told that place is under new management so decided to give it a go. We went midweek for a breakfast. Welcomed on arrival very warmly and our drinks arrived promptly. Didn't have to wait for food order either. Breakfast was tasty and portions generous. We will be definitely coming back and not only for breakfast. Recommend it.

Went for breakfast new years eve morning,the place was packed but Anthony found me a table and i ordered the full breakfast.Very nice and far too much to finish.Nice atmosphere to the place and excellent service.Will definitely go back. SP

I've been eating at this cafe for about twenty years and the food has always been good. Around three months ago it changed hands and the food is now exceptional! I had a roast beef dinner there today and was blown away by it! It was a generous meal, all the vegetables were fresh and beautifully cooked, roast potatoes were light and fluffy inside and the mash was smooth and buttery but I can honestly say that I've never tasted such tender, melt in the mouth beef! I don't normally have a dessert but couldn't resist home made rice pudding with strawberry jam. A really good decision! It wasn't at all sickly and heavy but light, not too sweet with a hint of nutmeg. Don't be put off by thinking that this modest little cafe just serves breakfasts. The dinners are wonderful and truly restaurant quality! I noticed that the cafe is open some evenings too.Before I forget, the service was very good and staff were lovely and very keen to help, even when they were so busy. Well done T&2, we'll be back next weekend for another helping!

Now is the time to give T and 2 a visit and enjoy the fabulous food and service from this family owned restaurant.Now open 7 days and including 2 evenings (Wednesday and Saturday) you can enjoy the new extensive menu from Antony and his team which are well renowned from their previous restaurant in Grendon .The usual menu is retained but an extensive list of Antony's specials has been added including salmon and cod.The sweet menu now has six options including my favourite Apple and almond pie - delicious.

As a vegan I don’t normally frequent eateries such as this, I was really impressed by the customer service and the friendly and warmth disposition of the waitress, my vegan breakfast was nice, it arrived within five minutes. The only downside was the price, it was almost £10.00

I had 30 minutes to spare so I popped into this cafe for the first time today. I had the Breakfast Special at £3:95, coffee and brown toast. The service was good and polite and the breakfast was very very good. I wasn’t offered any sauces unlike two other customers.

My family and I visit T&2 Sugars almost every weekend as it’s by far the best cafe in Northampton. I don’t understand the negative comments at all, people like to bring others down and there’s a lot of competition on welly road makes you wonder who’s putting these comments.

Ate here the other day deep fried sausages gluey hash btowns tinned acidic beans over cooked eggs and watery bacon .

This place reminds me of the old days. Spotlessly clean, freshly cooked tasty food, superb value and always served with a smile. We’ve never eaten a bad meal here in 10 years. I wish there were more places like this. And they always thank you when they take your money. Priceless.

My 90 year old mum has a small appetite so can only manage a child's portion. We went for Sunday lunch where she was refused the smaller option as the GREEDY proprieter really needed that extra £2.85 from my mum for a meal that she couldn't manage.

We were in search of food on the Wellingborough Road, and the pub where we usually go had changed their menu for the worse. We then thought we'd try the up-market fish and chip restaurant, but that wasn't open either.

Eggs over cooked, cheap sausages, fatty bacon and inedible black pudding! Tea was awful, no card payment facilities and ridiculously overpriced!!

Had a cooked breakfast, for the price I paid, anywhere else, you would get a cup of tea included!! The staff were nice/friendly

Normally pop in here on a Sunday for a roast dinner which is always fairly decent food but on this occasion the proprietor is now refusing to change out items on the dish for example you can no longer have an extra roast potato instead of mash... is this man for real... witnessed others with similar requests also being refused. This man has clearly lost his focus on customer service hence why his customer base appears to be dropping!

Great, honest mainly British food with fantastic breakfast and Sunday Lunch. Very frienly and down to earth.

Best Sunday lunch in town, choice of roasts, all good but the beef is so tasty and tender. If you want a Sunday roast but not the usual pub grub this is the place to go and usually cheaper than pub grub,

I can't comment on the meals here other than to say there was a good selection on the menu boards, we only had coffee and cake which we both enjoyed but thought quite pricey. The staff are very good and friendly but the decor is more like a transport cafe.

Expensive (and I am used to London pricing!) and not that good.. Proprietor doesn't fully understand the importance of putting the customer first I can only conclude...

A bit of a plain looking place, but clean and practical. Staff was attentive and fast and I enjoyed my full British. Normal choices for a cafe, nothing funny, nothing special. Solid option to stop by again.

El personal era encantador y tuvimos una comida fantástica - 4 de nosotros tuvimos menú navideño y los otros dos tenían un gran (y digo grande) Desayuno e hígado y tocino. Todo el mundo estaba encantado con sus opciones y no me puedo quejar de nada. Es increíble relación calidad-precio y la comida bien cocinada. Es normalmente de autoservicio (lo que significa que vaya a la barra a pedir y pagar) pero el personal era muy complaciente y tomó nuestros pedidos en la mesa que había sido establecido por seis con salsa de arándano listo en la mesa. Estoy seguro de que el almuerzo de domingo ordinario menú será el mismo nivel y si quieres un desayuno abundante entonces bien preparado debe ser uno de los mejores lugares en Northampton.

This cafe is on the busy Wellingborough Road and is well worth a visit. The staff are friendly and the food is good. I had a bacon sandwich (always a good benchmark) and a latte. The perfect start of my day.

The food is usually well cooked, the options are reasonable and its been my go to cafe for something like 15 years but I've always felt the prices are a bit high. Nice staff though.The place can get very busy.There's a lot more competition in Northampton nowadays and probably better quality and value to be found elsewhere.

The Breakfast here is cooked well and served well but I find the prices a little bit too high. £1.60 for a coffee that wasn't particularly nice. To get value for money you need to order the Full Monty as I believe it is called and that's £8.25 not cheep but the quality was good ! Left full and happy. Prices will keep me away though

We try to visit many pubs, restaurants and eating places in the town and beyond. Some are good but many we would prefer not to return to. Three years ago we discovered this place. If there is somewhere we can always rely upon it is Tea and Two Sugars where freshly cooked top quality food is served by obliging happy staff. Great value for money too. FIVE STAR ESTABLISHMENT.

This place does come out a little pricey but I do return monthly as never had a bad meal here but I do agree the drinks are pricey.Desserts more value for money and very nice.

'T&2 Sugars' is far more than its name suggests. It serves up anything from egg and bacon to a full roast and the food is fantastic - worth every penny! Everything looks and tastes appetizing and it is a spotlessly clean place. My Brother and I have been visiting regularly for some years and it is, without a doubt, a favourite place for lunch out.We cannot speak too highly of it. Try it - you will not be disappointed. We would rather dine at 'T&2 Sugars' than in a high class restaurant. It is also a very friendly establishment. Many people return here again and again for tasty food at decent prices. You must try it if you haven't been before.

I was attracted to the breakfast special sign for £3.95, the blonde lady behind the counter was very helpful and took my order. The owner even pulled a seat out for me to sit down after I had placed my order and paid. A very nice welcome. The special was breakfast only but with tea at just a £1 you cannot complain. Breakfast was ok. The hash browns were under cooked, the egg was fine and the sausage was quite herby, not to my taste but a good quality sausage. The bacon was the best bit, very very tasty. What spoilt my experience in here was the staff out the back having a go at the girl doing the serving of customers. She appeared to be doing a good job to me but chastising your staff in front of customers or within earshot is unprofessional and made me feel uncomfortable, especially when she had appeared to be doing a very good job. I won't return as for me this doesn't live up to the Super Sausage and I felt sorry for the young staff member.

Had one of the tastiest cheese, onion & chicken omelette's I've ever had. Chips freshly fried with a light crisp green salad. Took my time & had a cappuccino. Place was very busy but also chilled & the staff were very welcoming. Just over £8.00 but the food was worth it

I have recently visited this cafe on the Wellingborough road. It was lovely and clean with a nice atmosphere. All the staff were really friendly even the owner came out and asked if everything was OK which I thought was really nice. The food was to a very high standard and I was impressed with the presentation, I will definitely be visiting again.

having gone for sunday lunch I felt the price and the meal you were give was great and will take my family there again

I refuse to pay £2 for a cup of normal coffee not even a mug and £5 for a cheese toastie.The staff looked harassed, confused and kept going to the kitchen to get answers for waiting customers. Ended up having just a coffee as shocked a cafe can charge so much, lots of people did not seem happy. This is not fine dining but is expensive, jumped in my car and shot to Scoffers on the A45 for a proper cafe experience.

The staff are very helpful, polite and welcoming, read afew reviews on here saying pricey food but you get what you pay for, if you want cheap, happy shopper food don't come here, everything is home made, fresh,and HOT (the plates are very hot which is nice because the food stays hotter for longer, my fav has to be the Shepard pie been eating here for about a year and I wouldn't go to another cafe, the owner is very polite and welcoming to all customers, making sure all the food is how you like it, and you are receiving the service you deserve!! Loved it highly recommended

Went for lunch with 5 friends, we were all due to order food however they do not accept card which is not signed anywhere at all and we were not made aware until 2 paying by cash had already ordered and paid. The guy in the apron I can assume is the cook/owner decided to talk about our table to the staff when we were well in ear shot. Moaning that only 2 people were ordering food and that we should not have been seated. Made us feel very unwelcome and uncomfortable. If the 2 had not already paid, we would have left. I would never go back here. Very dated also needs to enter 2016!!!! Awful awful visit.

Went for breakfast with my grown up children to the cafe in Kingsthorpe. It was just before Christmas. The last time I'd visited a branch of T&2 Sugars was the one in Wellingborough Road in 2013. I vowed then that I would not go again because although both my husband and I had a full English breakfast each, with a pot of tea and a 2 portions of toast, they still charged an extra £1 for a slice of lemon in hot water! (I'd have understood if we hadn't ordered food!)Well my children wanted to visit T&2 Sugars in Kingsthorpe as a treat, as one of my sons was home from Dubai for Christmas, (and is a trained chef himself). Not wanting to be a 'party poop', I agreed. Please don't get me wrong, the food here is great, the staff are friendly but the food in my opinion is expensive. My son paid for the large English breakfast (see photo) costing somewhere between £7-£8 plus a drink and I think toast as well, spending in excess of £12.After he'd paid, he went back and asked to change the eggs option from fried to scrambled only to be told that there would be an additional charge of £1 !!!If you ask for something slightly different or 2 options of breakfast mixed or maybe an item swapped for an alternative, you're advised that this is not possible. You have to select one of the options available on the menu with apparently no leeway.I think the staff are powerless to be flexible and believe that the management would do well to read some of their reviews!

Nice service, home cooked food but £7.20 for a chicken pie veg and a tea is a bit steep.This is not a greasy spoon cafe but not a restaurant, more like a diner.

I sat in here with my son, we checked out the menu and waited.The lady working here asked if any one had taken our order and walked off without taking our order.So we carried on waiting.After waiting ten minutes exactly we left.Didn't feel like finding out what the food was like.Some called out "thanks" as we left.

Really quick and raw and real and pretty cheap, plus pot of tea was more than generous for the size value.Be next to the road wasn't good though location wise

Went a couple of years ago, spot on . Real proper home made fresh food, fresh vegetable and meat , good service and made sure everything was to your liking. Fresh coffee and tea. So nice to go to a British cafe that give the real English menu. No pre packed crap.

Me and a group of friends went for a quick breakfast. Sure, they don't have to welcome you with a friendly smile, but it gets worse from here... Each of the four of us ordered a breakfast, only three arrived. We were all finished when the fourth person decided to chase theirs (nothing special, a fairly small sized brekkie). There was some confusion between the two members of staff, and after a while one came up to the table and said "it's being made". No apology for the wait. Another 10 minutes and the breakfast arrived, I was sure she would apologise for the time it took to cook an egg, two bacon rashers and two sausages, but no! Just placed the plate at the table and marched off!! Shocking really that in this day and age, with such competition on the market, these people present such attitude! Looks like it's only the convenient central location that keeps them in business cause the food wasn't very nice and, as one of the previous reviewers remarked, rather overpriced. Would not recommend, and never going back there again.

Good food, good value but the attitude of the owner and staff leaves a lot to be desired, if you order from the menu and don't ask for anything that is not on the menu and don't complain about anything then you are left alone but if you question anything at all (I have been to this restaraunt many times) I have witnessed first hand on a number of occasions arguments with the staff especially the owner, on one occasion the owner asked a family to leave because they were not happy. How this cafe continues to stay open I have no idea, but having said that the quality of food is very good and it is always very clean. I will go back because the food is good but I have learnt to keep my mouth shut!!

I cannot believe this cafe has any returning customers when served with such an abhorrent attitude, I am vegan and gluten free so asked if I could swap the egg for 2 hash browns, which caused quite a passively aggressive response of no, apparently an egg is not the equivalent of two hash browns (when spending over £40) I had to order them separately at an additional cost. My partner then wished to swap an egg with onions, which was caused the person serving to become irate. We were made to feel like we were a nuisance and despite apologising and being thankful that we were allowed to swap said food items, the woman with the black hair made us feel very uncomfortable. Even when the food was served she was staring at us across the cafe with eyes like daggers. If looks could kill! We will never return and would never wish such a terrible breakfast experience upon anyone. With an appalling attitude like that perhaps she should think about working elsewhere.Avoid like the plague! Absolutely disgusting attitude!

Absolutely awful, I would never go back again!Firstly ignored by the girl taking order whilst she was having a chat with a fellow staff member, and actually had to ask if she was actually intending to our order and after finishing her conversation we were finally severed. whilst ordering I wanted a Vegie breakfast which was on there set menu, but was not able to have because I wanted scrambled egg and apparently this Is not available on set menu, even though on the board it says egg and doesn't specify how the egg is cooked Anyway I had to make my own breakfast up which was a huge mess because I 5 items and only 4 turned up when it was brought out to me. The lady I was with had eggs on toast and the crazy thing was 5 item breakfast eggs on toast one coffee and a bottle o water come to over £17.00 we questioned it and the response was ow I pressed the wrong button. She amended it and it come down to £14.00 which is still crazy! After waiting near 30 minutes for or food the lady who I was with had hers brought out and I had to wait a further 5 minutes for my food, which is a catering NO NO!!!! The food was nothing special not worth the money and quite dyer. To be charging the prices you really need to source better ingredients, and actually teach your staff something about catering and being front of house.

I think this is a good value for money cafe.Lovely food and the staff are quick and ask if all ok. The food was lovely and helpful.

Amazing all day breakfasts at great prices!!Have eaten here several times and have never been disappointed.Great for hangovers!

Went there today, It was nice and clean and the lady was very pleasant but I did feel it was rather overpriced for what we got. Unusually you don't even get a cup of tea or coffee with their breakfasts; something which I have now almost taken as the norm. As I say the food was nice and hot but I wouldn't return on the basis of their pricing. It's nothing special for that money.

The people seemed friendly enough, but the prices were insane for what you got.The chips came out separate, so half your food had either gone cold or been eaten by the time you get the full meal, and the coffee was pretty much undrinkable. I've had one cup worse than this place, and that was when I accidentally poured myself a nice glass of limescale removerI would not recommend this place to anyone. It's not even like you get a decent meal for your money, it was expensive and displeasing. This place is the definition of a greasy spoon.

The two of us enjoyed lunch at T & 2 Sugars again today. We were at the nearby County Cricket Ground in Wantage Road, a short walk away, and felt peckish by 12.30pm.There are always three different roasts on offer as well as an extensive list of dishes advertised on a blackboard on the wall opposite the counter. We both chose the lamb today. For less than £7.00, we were served tender slices of lamb accompanied by roast and mashed potatoes, cabbage, cauliflower, broccoli and carrots. For desserts, we both chose cherry bakewell pie with custard. Mugs of tea rounded off our meals nicely. All this for under £20.00 for the two of us.The service is good, the very reasonably priced food is excellent, and the atmosphere pleasant. This is a nice little café on the Wellingborough Road where good food can be had. It's cheap and cheerful. The café is also open on Sundays when a wide range of dishes is on offer.We have been here on many occasions, as have a large number of Northamptonshire Cricket supporters, players and umpires. Word gets around that it is a good place for a quick meal.We'll be returning as often as possible during the cricket season and recommend it to others.

Terrible coffee.. Poor quality sausages and extremely overpriced.Gutted that I wasted my money. Will never eat here again.

Nice little café on the "Welli Road". Make a good cup of tea and serve an excellent breakfast with as many of the options as you require.

Just enjoyed an hour in this restaurant. Just in for a snack, excellent toasty, and the dressing was perfect. Louis is from Cyprus so we yarned about olive oil and such. I told him I was there in 1956 courtesy of her majesty. I told him about Xeno and his paradoxes as I was stationed just a few miles from his birthplace, known as Citium in Greek times, Larnaca now. He said "Now I understand why my father named our dog Xeno!" Thanks for the experience Louis.

Had a breakfast option 4, and a cup of tea.When it came out the plate was pitiful for the price. The taste wasn't much better. Cheap ingredients used at high prices for which is a greasy spoon. Even sauces, you get 1 sachet free - any more are paid for.The staff, rude and abrupt.I definitely won't be going back.

I often visit the T & 2 Sugars on Wellingborough Road for there all day breakfast it is the best I have had so far in Northampton.The staff are friendly and helpful the cafe is always clean, I would defo recommend for a Sunday Fry-up.LOVELY !!!!

Had a full English breakfast number 2. Food was nice enough although Mushrooms always seem to be deep fried and are too greasy. Bacon was very tasty though. Chef (who I think maybe the owner) is NOT very accommodating, however. I have asked for a slight variation on the breakfast choice a couple of times, but after the waitress checked with the chef, I was told no to the request! Then last Sunday, my husband treated me to breakfast. I asked for hot water with a slice of lemon to go with my food, this request was granted but we were charged £1 for the privilege. I have never been charged for this anywhere else especially when ordering a meal!!!!! The supermarket opposite only charged £1 for 4 lemons. I know times are tough but....?!?!?

Having used this cafe every week I was very disappointed to be abruptly told by the chef/owner to leave the premises, as a support worker for adults with learning disability we have used the cafe many times for breakfast and catch up with people we support, I was mortified to be told that "you carers come here all the time and use my toilet if your not eating get out" well,being a cafe and a service for public use you would think you would be given time to choose what you want to eat and drink and use the facilities if needed ie the toilet,I was sitting for approx two minutes saying hello how are you, and was approached by the chef/owner who was aggressive, obnoxious and threatening to me and the person I was meeting, please be warned if you are in the care profession and you work with people that need support this is the place NOT to go to, I cannot believe this person has any business left with his customer service skills and his attitude towards the general public, our company will not be using any of the tea & two cafe's again, even the girl who worked there was intimidated by him one word to describe him BULLY,

Ate here yesterday. Asked about a cheeseburger and chips, £5.85. Can I have some fried onions on the burger? Yeah sure, that's £7.35! Wow, scrap that I'll have double egg and chips, £4. fine, went back, actually I'll have the sausage egg and chips please for £4.85. Two minutes later get told its £4.90, its 90p for the extra sausage when had I ordered it all together it would have been 5p cheaper. The food when it came was nothing to write home about either, two overdone eggs, chips with black bits in the majority of them and a sausage which was cheap and nasty. Wont be eating here again

as far as cafes gothis is not too bad.they do a really nice cupofhot chocolate and toastie and is very reasonably priced. this is the sort of place you seeon corrie a bit like 'roys rolls' where the regulars know each other and the staff are really more like oldtime friends. nice!

After a previous bad experience, I was decided to give a T&2 sugars another go. As usual the service was prompt and efficient. We vistited on a Sunday and we all chose the Sunday roast option. The quality and value was excellent. The roast Lamb was well cooked and lean. The vegtables were fresh and not over cooked. The kids enjoyed their dinner too, smaller Roast dinners with a free drink included.Great value, good service and nice home cooked food. I have also had breakfast here and it was excellent with loads of different optionsWell done Louie keep it up !

I had to meet my husband in the Wellingbrough rd area We went into have a cup of tea but ending up having food very nice
