This cafe, sited beside free parking on Morrisons supermarket, offers traditional British sandwiches and cakes without the frills at very reasonable prices. Our chosen bacon bread roll and egg mayonese sandwich were well filled and tasted good. The bread choice was limited to white and brown wholemeal.

A massive shout out for all of the staff of the bar at the Point Theatre. Great food, hot and tasty, caring and attentive staff. Nothing appeared too much trouble. Chilli and curry made for the company of the Mountbatten Players between shows. Thank you so much. You are all ⭐️

Good ambience and beach views. Our £17 glass of champagne was served in a plastic glass! Nachos were tasty and fresh.

Delicious Italian food. Even though it is quite far from the city of Cambridge, I am still willing to drive here if I have time on weekends. The service is friendly, the food is delicious, and the price is reasonable. Overall, it is highly recommended. Due to limited seats, I came here. It’s safer to remember to make a reservation before The best Italian restaurant around Cambridge. Delicious foods, nice service, and reasonable prices. We really enjoyed the atmosphere and food here.

It goes without saying that the service and the food at Betty's is rightly world renowned - but the whole experience is spoilt by the greedy "you have to queue" policy of management. Our friends in their 80's, one registered disabled, one with dementia, treated us (in our 70's) to afternoon tea at Betty's Northallerton. She asked to book but was told that doesn't happen at Betty's, so they agreed to meet us at 1.30 at the shop. Well OUTSIDE the shop as the usual queue was in place - and boy was it a cold day. They had arrived at 1.15 and were 3rd in the queue when we joined them. At. 1.30 we were told to enter the shop, only to find another queue leading to the restaurant and 10 groups (2s,3s and 4,s) ahead of us. At 1.55 we were near the front of that queue and could at least sit down - 2 chairs and a bench are provided. We were seated at 2pm and thereafter everything was fine, but the pleasure had been taken out of the afternoon and we all agreed "never again". The only reason that there is a no reservation policy is so that they can jam more people in (and jam them in they do) some tables I would have refused to sit at. Why not ask for a no-refund deposit up front for a reservation and limit the number of tables that can be reserved BUT this system is appalling and it doesn't matter how good your staff are, or the food, the experience is spoilt. Yo can do better than this Betty's.

Used this eatery when staying at the Premier Inn Saffron Walton a couple of years ago and there were no complaints then but things have changed. When we went to get our table at 7.30pm we were told that we weren’t being rushed but we need to get our orders in before 7.40pm or we wouldn’t be able to eat anything as the kitchen closes at 8.00pm. Once seated we were then presented with both the menu and a list, equally as long, of items that weren’t available on the menu. By this time we only had 8 minutes on the clock to decide whilst cross-checking the menu! The food itself was pretty average. After the meal we went to have one more drink in the bar. Once sat down with our drinks we were quickly told it was last orders, soon after that, around 5 minutes, all guests had to leave the bar. The England game was switched off half way through, maybe not a bad thing, and the door was practically slammed behind us as we were turfed into the lobby with the remainder of our drinks. I realise this is not the staff’s fault, they are only enforcing the rules but it all felt very rushed and stressful. Other guests were clearly annoyed by this. On the whole I think the opening hours could be handled better and something needs to be done about the lack of options, whatever the reasons, it was embarrassing.
