The best restaurants serving British food in England

Today I politely asked for some hot water to make my sons bottle. We had not planned on stopping at strikes, it was a last minute decision as we were on our way home. The man very abruptly told me he could under no circumstance give me any hot water as it was a health and safety risk. So I asked him if he could make up the bottle instead and that way it shouldn’t be an issue and he said no. When I asked him how I was meant to feed my 6 month old son he said ‘ maybe you should bring your own hot water places’ I explained that I usually do however this was a last minute stop on our way home and therefore I didn’t have any hot water. He just shrugged. I told my mum to leave the queue ( where she was waiting to order at least £35 worth of food for the pair of us!) and left What makes no sense to me is that they will give out tea pots of hot tea? But not hot water? In January when I was breastfeeding my son in strikes I got funny looks from a lot of the staff and was made to feel very uncomfortable at the time . So apparently strikes aren’t happy with infants eating at all in strikes. Every are not accommodating in the slightest to families with young children and I definitely don’t recommend the place to anyone.

I was in here for a drink with friends and girl friend .we was so happy this was going to be open again but when we got here there was an irsh man here that walked around like he owned the place and gave us no respect we was not happy on the other hand there was a black guy he told us his name was Roy he treated us with so much respect yes we have a reputation for being bad but on this occasion he come and sat with us and made friends like we was human and like he was not scared of us but in our culture we stick to our own but i have to say he desolated the situation with the other management by just talking like he knows our background and wants to get to know his customers if this not had happened with Roy it would have been a different situation Roy we all love you keep up the good work will be down tomorrow .the other manager just wants to fight and just thinls hes hard .Roy showed us there are ways to dealing with management in different ways .

Servicios pequeños con puntos de venta estándar MOTO que son básicamente todas las tiendas normales de High Street con precios a menudo inflados. No particularmente ocupado cuando visitamos que, me pareció, significaba que estábamos recibiendo una experiencia más agradable que en la hora pico. A bunch of incompetent baboons work here. I ordered my son a triple cheeseburger and asked for no gherkins or onions just cheese and ketchup on the burger. I got charged the full price for the burger, we checked our bag to make sure we had everything but unfortunately did not check in the actual packaging until we got on the motorway, my 7 year old was so upset and disappointed to see his triple cheeseburger had no actual burgers in it. What an absolute joke. I then had a hungry crying child until we could reach the next service station.

The food was beautiful, but the lady that served us was a stuck up c***. Ruined the experience, I hope she faces the wrath of a million locusts

Good cappuccino and very tasty Belgium waffles, great service and the food was delivered to the table super quick.

We had an aperitif here and we loved the elegance and the service, we will come back definitely for another drink.

Vine aquí para el brunch / desayuno en un domingo - no es mi primera visita. Huevos escalfados en tostadas con porciones de granos horneados más el café. La comida se cocinaba rápido y el café estaba en la mesa a los pocos minutos de pedir. El personal parecía servicial y proactivo para mantener las mesas despejadas. Volvería de nuevo

My husband and I visited the YD in Wakefield on Saturday morning for breakfast. Very cute surrounds. We were the only people in but this soon changed and the place was full by the time we left. My husband had a full English will poached eggs, all cooked perfectly, I have mushrooms, crispy bacon and beans on sourdough toast, delightful! Coffee was great as was the service, couldn’t fault a thing, will definitely return.

No sabía qué esperar, no suelen ir a bares de cadena, no decepcionó, gran servicio rápido, un delicioso filete de ribye perfectamente cocinado. Gran gin tonics rosa, precios realmente razonables. Soy muy quisquilloso con mi filete, y el corte de carne en el que se cocinó fue puntual. Definitivamente volveré, gran montaje.

Went to Cannock branch today for breakfast,the place was freezing cold,staff and customers were complaining about the cold,no heat on of any description,breakfast went cold before we could eat it,waste of £20 .staff advised us to ask to speak to management,as nobody listens to them,could,nt be bothered,could not wait to get out of the store and get home to some heat,to cold for anyone to browse in store and spend,so sales must suffer when that cold.

Ido con amigos adinerados a Aspers Casino Stratford. Ordene Chicken BIryani vino con ARROZ DE GRANO LARGO con tazón de prisioneros sin chutney, yogurt, Poppadum o cualquier cosa. La primera vez que vi a Biryani cocinado con arroz de grano largo sin poppadum, chutney, yogurt o Pickle cobrando dinero considerable del menú de basura. No sé cómo todas las personas del casino toleran el tipo de comida basura en el lugar prestigioso de Westfield.

My god I stood in that queue for 20 mins while the person behind the counter made TWO coffees. There was a queue of people in front of me so I decided to leave as I only wanted to buy a couple of bottles of water after a run and it’d have taken me longer to get the drinks that it did to run the 10k around the reservoir. 😂

June 1, 2024 - Came in with a family group of 16. We figured it would be a long-shot to get all of us sat at one time, but the staff came through and found seats for all of us upstairs. We felt so welcomed even though we took over the space for a while. The fish and chips were stellar and the cider on draft was crisp. The family thoroughly enjoyed our meal and would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who needs a good bite to eat.

The worst restaurant experience ever. Queued for 30 minutes only to find out the item I wanted was not available. Why couldn't a notice be displayed to that effect? Will never visit again and would advise others to avoid at all costs.
