I was in here for a drink with friends and girl friend .we was so happy this was going to be open again but when we got here there was an irsh man here that walked around like he owned the place and gave us no respect we was not happy on the other hand there was a black guy he told us his name was Roy he treated us with so much respect yes we have a reputation for being bad but on this occasion he come and sat with us and made friends like we was human and like he was not scared of us but in our culture we stick to our own but i have to say he desolated the situation with the other management by just talking like he knows our background and wants to get to know his customers if this not had happened with Roy it would have been a different situation Roy we all love you keep up the good work will be down tomorrow .the other manager just wants to fight and just thinls hes hard .Roy showed us there are ways to dealing with management in different ways .

I Went to this pub to watch the Champions League final with some friends of mine. During the second half, a staff member very unprofessionally blurted out, “Whoever’s just taken a s*** on the floor - own up to it now!” Everyone in the pub proceeded to laugh as it’s not something one would expect to hear a staff member shout in the middle of the biggest game of the season. Furthermore, both bar maids continued this shocking behaviour by hounding customers who simply wanted to watch the game and questioning them on if they defecated on the floor. I found their behaviour ghastly to say the least. Subsequently after the game finished, a friend of mine who is a regular and was playing pool with me was nice enough to take all litter and empty glasses up to the bar only to be told “don’t do my f****** job!” That action in itself just leads me to believe that particular staff member was under the influence of something. I decided to give this pub yet another chance as I do frequent it and went back yesterday afternoon with my friends and my friend’s son for some pool games. We sat down after greeting the regulars we know and even the staff members (despite their horrific actions of the previous week) and had food when all of a sudden another member of staff, who I know is new management, approached our table to tell us that our ‘group’ won’t be served. I was personally flabbergasted considering the amount of money I and all staff members know I’ve spent in this place to say the least. This manager admittedly seemed as confused as we were which led me to believe he was being told things. I politely questioned him on what our ‘group’ was or to name any names as anyone in this pub could be part of our ‘group’, he never answered as he very clearly didn’t know. To accuse me (a regular) or my friends of defecating on the floor is absolutely abhorrent. Said new management proceeded to smirk and giggle after even my friends were asking in pure confusion why we were told we were barred and only for a week May I add which is nonsensical. Considering this is a pub that even my grandfather used to frequent, it’s saddening to see how poor this new management and a couple of staff members have decided to treat regular, friendly and fun customers. My own father was disgusted with all of this and to top it all off the pub is only open 3 days a week now and was even closed on Thursday.

The Earl of Derby is a really nice proper British pub. Friendly staff always willing to help suggest a drink. Really nice place

I really enjoy this spot in Kilburn. Cheap drinks, friendly staff and you can have the craic with the regulars there. Old school pub with alot of character

Have been here a few times whilst visiting family. Very sound, basic pub, no frills but decent drinks. £2 a pint beats everywhere else including Wetherspoons. Sound staff.

I love this pub, it’s got the cheapest drinks in Kilburn by a mile and staff are friendly and welcoming. Really impressed with the post-Covid operations, with hand sanitiser readily available and stickers clearly outlining where to queue etc. Can’t fault it

I came up for a funeral and I visited this pub before heading to the ceremony.The staff were so friendly and welcoming and the beer was cheap and cheerful. I thought for £2 a pint to expect the worse but I delightfully surprised.I would say definitely worth a visit.

This place just gets better and better. Great atmosphere, mix of young and older guests and TVs everywhere so you always have a good view wherever you sit. With the addition of a great manager and excellent staff who I led recommend this to anyone. They are also beginning to have live music so check out the webpage for local bands playing

I visited with my other half for lunch. Once we found out that the venue didnt do food, they informed us that if we wanted to bring our own food in we could and were really helpful telling us all the local take outs ect. We had a pint, beer was great and to be honest when the guy behind the bar said £2 I wasnt expecting much, reason for the price and all. But no i was delightfully wrong. The beer was good and kept its life. The staff were great and helpful. Once we had finished and needed directions to abbey road studios (life long Beatles fan) the manager got his phone out and took us through it on Google maps to make our life easy. And either suggested bus routes. 10/10 would go back

I used to enjoy Karaoke every Thursdays, but, they've discontinued. I still go there to enjoy Poker Tournament every Wednesday. The Boss at the Bar, Mr. Neil always serves everyone with his pleasant smile, and at times, when it's very busy, he still serves everyone at his dynamic speed, and maintaining his usual welcome smile. I wish they start the Karaoke soon, again. All the staff, of Neil's team are very friendly and helpful, and offer superb services at all times........Ash

Me and friends are up here doing some work and needed somewhere to watch wales play Italy. It was good atmosphere and when the fame game finished we could play some pool. Cheap beer good sport.

We went in to see if they could show the rugby and they were more than happy to oblige to it and the beer was cheap

Excellent London pub but has such a relaxed atmosphere when you enter even if you are not a local. The Manager is brilliant, can’t recommend this place enough if you in the area and what a warm welcome and cheap drink..

This pub stands out from the others in the area due to its amazing value drinks, and friendly staff. The toilets were clean and live sport was shown on tv. Would recommend to anyone visiting the Kilburn area.

Visited this pub on a few occasions during our stay in nearby Cricklewood and was impressed by the great value drinks (Guinness £3.80 and Spiced Rum with a mixer for £2). Has the feel of a real community pub with pleasant decor, dimmed lighting, clean toilets and friendly bar staff. They show live sports events on plenty of large screens and has a pool table and jukebox too. Well worth popping in if you're in the area.

Good pub serving nice hearty food in big portions. Beer tastes fresh and staff are friendly! I would recommend stopping in if out and about in Kilburn!

Poco por encima. Noté que el mismo miembro del personal también hablaba agresivamente con otros clientes. Entiendo que a veces es necesario adoptar este enfoque con clientes ruidosos o embriagados en un pub ocupado. Pero no estábamos (no somos) ruidosos o borrachos. The burgers are very good, their main one has a beef burger, chicken burger and pork burger in one big burger. The disappointment comes from the fries which are less than plain, too big (ship fries) and not cooked enough.

El Earl of Derby en Kilburn High Road es uno de los pubs menos caro que frecuente en centralish de Londres. Aunque llena de relativamente malhumorado asiduos, el Derby es bastante alegre. Un inconveniente es el volumen muy alto de música grabado jugando. El personal del bar era lo suficientemente amable.

Fuimos a la Earl Derby para una bebida. Era tranquilo, y una botella de vino de la casa era inferior a 10 libras. Además, nos encontramos un maravilloso 4 patas regular llamado Pitágoras. Mi griego es inexistente, así que tuve que comunicarme en growls y masturba. Qué increíblemente magnífico motivo más para ir a la Earl Derby! !

Un lugar muy agradable y con una comida valiosa. Si no puedes consumir porciones regulares, ofrecen plato pequeño con 9 libras. 00 por 3 platos. Y podría intentar diferentes. Me gusta mucho sus alas salsa de barbacoa, sabroso y se aman.

Un gran lugar donde puede hacerse trabajar con comida en el barato. . . . No habrá ninguna izquierda en Londres pronto.

Nice comfy seats was empty for a Saturday night but staff friendly and they had a great choice of gins and tonics very nice We ordered food pub grub ok good enough for the price would go again

El personal es muy amable, y competente. Servicio rápido de bebidas, barbacoa y pedimos hamburguesas que estaban muy sabrosos. Menú limitado por mi amigo vegetariano pero su comida. enjoyted Grandes pantallas de todo para los amantes de los deportes, y una mesa de billar. No estaba muy lleno y se veía un poco viejo hombre pero hizo una tarde agradable. Sin duda lo recomiendo. Un montón de comida y bebidas ofertas aunque no los usamos.

Llegamos con un amigo en una noche de sábado y los dos estábamos hambrientos y sedientos, así directamente al bar para tomar algo antes de volver al menú. Desgraciadamente me di cuenta de lo que debieron iba a ir cuando el camarero no sabía lo que era una limonada limonada!

Came here for a drink with my work collegeus. Came on a kareoke night. It was brilliant. I never enjoyed myself in a pub as much as I did in here. Sop good and trendy.

El servicio era fantástico, el personal del bar era muy amable y servicial! La comida llegó rápidamente y estaba delicioso. Definitivamente un plan de volver a visitar!

The lunch deals make the Earl excellent value. If you only have an hour don't worry; orders arrive promptly, and I challenge you to find a more comfortable environment to de-stress midday anywhere on the Kilburn High Road.

Encantador pequeño pub, amables y la comida era increíble - recomendaría la comida y el personal eran encantadores.

Encantador pub con techos altos bellamente ornamentados. lleno de carácter. Personal muy amable y un extenso menú. Elegimos pieles cargado y nachos a compartir para empezar y eran enormes y precioso. Para los platos principales el bistec era genial y el mezclado pescar era enorme, un gran valor por su dinero.

Sono entrato nel locale con la mia famiglia per un drink ( coca e birra), dopo di che sono rimasto al pub con mio fratello ( più che maggiorenne ) ed un mio amico anch'esso maggiorenne e dopo aver ordinato una birra questa ci è stata sottratta con grandissima scortesia da una ragazza dai capelli castani solo perché io ( sedicenne ) l'avevo presa per scattare una foto con gli altri e sentirne il sapore. Quando mio fratello ha chiesto spiegazioni, la ragazza ha risposto con maleducazione di andare via dal locale; davvero un grandissimo peccato che questo locale davvero ottimo debba perdere clienti per via della maleducazione di una sola cameriera!!

We went today for lunch. What is everyone complaining about? The food was good. Loads to choose from. Yes a mistake was made with the desserts but it was rectified and staff were very apologetic. Will be going back.

This was a good pub - craft ale and excellent burgers. So, if you are reading the four and five star reviews ignore them, as the pub has changed hands since then.Its now back to a bog-standard pub and is not the same. If you want a pint of mass produced lager whilst watching the football then fine, but if you want something good to eat and drink look elsewhere.

This pub had a revamp a year or two ago and started selling ales and lically-brewed craft beers. The problem was, there was hardly ever anyone in there so it wasn't the greatest place to have a drink even though the food was good and the beer was good. Now though, after popping down for something to eat, it's reverted to selling tasteless fizzy water the masses call lager (Kronenburg, Beck's, et al) and was full of old men. Despite being relatively full, there was absolutely no atmosphere in the place at all. I've been in better Wetherspoons.Such as shame that Kilburn has lost a decent pub but with no customers and no atmosphere, it was only a matter of time before it changed hands. It might've done better if it was a bit further north but nestled amongst the Irish pubs down the less salubrious part of the High Road, it didn't really stand a chance.

Visited this pub with friends and family. Nice pub, food & drink were good value ..... but.... The barmaid on duty from (eastern Europe I think) on Sunday night 12th of July needs to find a new job as she has no interest in serving customers. I never like calling out poor service as dealing with customers can be difficult at the best of times but this lady's lack of interest in answering the simplest of queries was truly shocking.

Visited with friends on our way to Wembley. The website made the pub sound much nicer than it was. Their 'craft beer' selection was much more limited than advertised Turned out to be a large pub with several 'regulars' who seemed to be making large contributions to the profits by the late afternoon. We ordered a selection of burgers but these took a very long time to arrive. When they did, it appeared that two meals had been waiting longer than the others to be served as the chips were fairly cold and the burger not much better. If the food had been hot then it might have been considered cheap and cheerful but not somewhere I would rush back to.

Nice pub BUT easily the worst rump steak I have ever had; too small, tough (I asked for medium rare) and half inedible because of fat and gristle. The excuse that "the cook can only cook what's there" is not good enough. Unless the steaks are identical he could make a decision to not cook the rubbish and pick a good one to cook and thereby avoid having an unhappy customer.

Popped in for lunch today and we were not disappointed. Granted we were the only people in when we ordered but food was fast, hot and tasty. Good selection of drinks available too. Will definitely return.

Great find near work. 2 for 1 burgers during the week. I recommend the sriracha and coleslaw burger. Yum yum. Also the only place I know which has Tabasco chipotle sauce as a condiment. So good I had to hunt it down at Waitrose. And try the ruby jeans burger if you want some onion ring action!!

Ever had monster munch crisps in a burger? You should. It was bloody amazing. 241 on all burgers, both quirky and regular, from 12 to 6 and all day on Tuesdays. I've made this place my regular lunchtime joint. I may be an addict..

This pub was much better before the new management took over. The manager is out right rude and uncooperative. Food is nothing to shout about and over priced. If you want a disappointing night that will cost you more than it should, with a bit of attitude thrown in for good measure then this is your place. Otherwise STEER CLEAR!

Three of us went for lunch here early on a Sunday lunchtime and it was completely dead - no idea why as this is a great quirky venue/pub/informal restaurant. Great macaroni cheese and a coke for £8.90. They also serve Newport-based Tiny Rebel Brewery's Dirty Stop Out beer. The decor is sort of gilded grunge - very cool.

I stumbled upon this pub by chance. It used to be absolutely awful and i would've never entered it before. I run a pub myself so was hugely impressed by the standards when i walked in. My two children and I popped in for a quick meal whilst shopping and ordered the 241 lunch deal on the burgers. The quality and price of the burgers far surpassed my expectations and we will definitely be back again.

I read on Facebook that a Jazz Big Band featuring some of the finest young talent in London was to be playing a one-off at the Earl Derby on the 22nd December. Tje band was gloriously billed as "The Killin' LA Session Cat All-Star LA Big Band's Burning Christmas Roast-Session Hang Vibe at Hollywood Studios". I looked up the web site and discovered that it served an American based menu until 10.00 p.m. and boasted of its range of beers. I was surprised to see that the big band was not mentioned in the What's On section. I got there and was surprised to see nothing outside the pub or in the window to indicate the music but the band wee there and played some brilliant music. I originally decided that I would order food during the interval but shortly before that at 9.00 p.m. I felt hungry and went to order some food to be told in an unapologetic way that the kitchen was closed. There was nothing to indicate that it was going to close early that night. I understand from the band that the deputy manager had agreed to "pay" them by giving them a free drink each, but that on the night the manager reneged on that and just gave them one bottle of fizzy wine (amongst 17 musicians!). They had not publicised the event in any way and had even declined to put a sign outside of the pub on the night. I gather the management is new. They deserve to fail. No food after 9.00 p.m. on a night when there was entertainment until 11.00 p.m. and when it is advertised as being available until 10.00. The attitude of the staff was clear - they did not want the band or the audience to be there. They complained that the band were not clearing up quickly enough at 11.00 p.m. I suggest we all make the staff and management happy buy not going to the pub and that way they will not have to deal with customers. A great sham because the building is good and suited for music. I can't say if the food is any good because they didn't want me to have any, but the menu appears to suggest that they are bog standard "home made" burgers. I was able to leave in a happy frame of mind only because of the high standard of the music.

We stayed in Kilburn recently, and found this nice pub and had a good meal. Excellent burgers!!! Very nice atmosphere, comfortable seating areas, dogs welcome, people friendly, staff helpful, beer good and the place was very clean!

Just had a soggy Sunday roast. Potatoes & Yorkshire pudding soggy.Aesthetically bland.Overpriced & music too loud to enable a normal conversation over dinner.Would not recommend

This is a great pub with a fantastic selection of beers, including some quite unusual ones. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The menu has recently changed from upmarket pub food to an American diner style - on balance I think the previous menu was better but the new one is good to.The pub is often quite quiet which is a shame - it's tons better than most of the other offerings on the High Road. Give it a try!

Great selection of beers, friendly staff too. Nice and spacious. Burgers are amazing. Walk past everyday on my commute and am always tempted to nip in for a cold one. Tis a shame though as it's located slap bang in the middle of the high road so consequently doesn't get the business it rightly deserves. Still, they do a great job. Never been in there on a Friday/Saturday night so can't vouch for whether things jazz up a bit. Defo my fave pub on the high road anyhow.

This is now my new local as I love this pub. They have rotating guest ales and regular beers from London breweries (Meantime, Camden). First time we ate was for Sunday lunch back in Feb and it was excellent. Last time was last weekend and they have a new menu under "Ruby's Diner" for burgers, but the Sunday roasts are still there. I had the ruby burger and it was one of the best burgers I have eaten in London (for me beating Byron, Hache and a long way above things like GBK). Great chips as well.Love the fact that this place also has decks and DJs playing proper vinyl - the times I have been in there its been 60s/70s soul, reggae and other chill out stuff.Only downside is that it is not in the best spot in the high road - mid-way between the tubes, and word hasn't gotten round yet about the place as it is never as full as it deserves to be.

A group of us have been going here since it opened, it's really great at times and it is a great place to go to. The food is good apart from the chips which are clearly pulled from the freezer, the onion rings are just a ring of fat, little onion. Beer selection is fantastic and sometimes they have discount beers on which is rare in London. One manager is fantastic while the other one with tattoos is unhelpful, the main manager will bend over backwards to make your visit enjoyable, once they get these things right its going to be a great gastropub.

If more people took a few minutes to walk a little further down Kilburn High road they would find this treasure. Even from the outsider can tell its different to all the bars on the same road. It's very nice inside with a wonderful drinks range. The staff were friendly and helpful and it just made it a really good experience to be here. I had some pulled pork sliders which were ohh so very goodI can't wait to come back and try their Sunday roast!
