Pretty dire I’m afraid All cakes looked bought in. I had a scone hoping it was the safest bet. It wasn’t. Dry. Came with one butter and the cheapest jam imaginable ( I saw the jar !) Tea ok but can’t go wrong with that right ?! Apart from the mug of tea still had the tea bag in it Staff friendly and hard working but management very poor and standard of food poor. Don’t bother

Booked a table for 12 noon to meet up to treat two friends to lunch, first impressions not good, the place could do with a good clean! Ordered food (not much choice) which took over 30 mins to arrive and not very good.... two jacket potatoes over cooked and hard with soggy salad! I did complain and was offered a free hot tea or coffee !! Needless to say I shall not be going back and would not recommend it to any friends or family!

Three friends and myself visited the tea room at Host park for a birthday celebration. The catering was wonderful, as expected for afternoon tea (pre booked) . Three tired cake stand, fantastic selection of cakes and sandwiches! One friend vegan, very pleased with her selection, second lady vegetarian, also very pleased, third lady celiac, meaning gluten free overwhelmed at selection, fourth lady blown away with the amount and selection served! All four ladies exceptionally pleased! Good value for the money, great views over to fishing lakes and farm land . Pleasant, helpful staff!

Sadly the food was absolutely awful, the wrap I had could be snapped, it was stiff and stale, the contents seemed to be the scrapings of whatever was left (should have been chicken, bacon and sweetcorn) and there was next to nothing inside! The bacon was too tough to chew, crisps were stale and the coffee was absolutely awful. I will never eat here again and I don't recommend it to anyone, especially for the price!! Very disappointing.

We decided to drive out to Hoar Park for a spot of lunch and a look round. It’s been a few years since we were last here. What a disappointment. We sat inside first but nothing was clean. The table hadn’t been wiped and the wooden holder that holds the sauces etc hadn’t been for a while. The menu was pretty limited as well. We moved outside to a nice spot with lovely views and decided to have a cup of tea and a tea cake. It arrived as a takeaway tea and the tea cake arrived in a polystyrene takeaway box ! Why not a mug of tea or cup/saucer and a plate for the tea cake ?! Really disappointed ☹️

Tasty chicken panini, massive portion of beans on toast. My friend and daughter's food came fast..ours was a bit of a delay. Would just say it is a tad expensive for this type of cafe. Nearly £9 for panini, crisps and salad.. Cake selection was good!

First time visit to this place.. Won't be returning. Waited 45 minutes after being advised that food and drink would be 30 minutes .Chased where it was to be told that the kitchen had closed a whole ago. Great - we sat there like lemons whole staff went on breaks to eat or cleaned up. Insincere, hurried apology given with cash refund only possible. Dire - won't be returning. First impressions last.

Should have read Groupon reviews Just had our family tea booked for this Friday cancelled with no reason given. Checked with the village and they aren’t shut just told to get a refund. Booked this place for afternoon tea via groupon weeks ago, to treat my mum for Mother’s Day. They cancelled my booking 48 hours before with no explanation why and will not answer the phone. A utter disgrace - you should be ashamed of yourselves. This is not how to run a reputable business. Fingers crossed you go bankrupt. After reading the other reviews on here, it looks like we had a lucky escape.

Travelled 45 miles for afternoon tea only to find on arrival that it was cancelled as they said groupon hadn’t paid them. Didn’t even mail us to say it was cancelled and still being advertised today. I would avoid places like this that trade on others websites and don’t fulfil there obligations or offer any solution to a 87 year old couple and just let them travel 45 miles Back home and didn’t even offer a cup of tea.

As a group of 6 cyclists we all ordered various coffees and cakes/ tea cakes etc and waited outside for the staff to serve us, as per their request. The food and drinks were okay but nothing special for the price however we were surprised and disappointed that they came in polystyrene cups and boxes with plastic cutlery. Surely it could have been served in and on china plates, and mugs etc. The amount of waste materials between us all was ridiculous. Steven Stansfield Cycling UK North Birmingham Group

Went there this afternoon. Member of staff on the till was very rude. As we approached the counter she said "we shut in 15 minutes". I said we only wanted 2 coffees to which she pulled a face and said "white". Coffees arrived with a different girl who was actually quite pleasant. Felt extremely uncomfortable drinking our coffees as staff kept perping round the corner at us to see if we had left. We walked out after 10 minutes so as not to overstay our curfew. Most unpleasant experience.

Went for coffee and for £3 you do NOT expect poor instant coffee. The young staff were very rude and gobsmackingly tried to explain to me (a 50 year old customer) what a latte is in a slow patronising manner. When I returned to the toll I heard the 4 young staff laughing about how she had spoken to me! Thankfully the manager gave a refund for the drinks but the point remains that a cheap instant coffee is being sold as latte for £3 a glass. Dishonest and sadly means we won't go back to Hoar Park even though the other shops and farm seem okay. The staff member is in the wrong job and should have been sacked instantly. Apparently we're not the first to complain about rude staff there. Appalling experience

Came for tea and cake. Miserable older gent was at counter taking food orders. He overcharged from what was printed on the menu. I pointed out tea and cake is £3.25 but he had totalled amounts separately and made no attempt to rectify. Ihad to do the maths for him and he reluctantly took the overcharge off. It was well worth the short drive from Coventry to visit here. The farm entry cost £4 each to get in and under 2's are free. This is aimed at younger kids, but my eldest enjoyed the animals as much as everyone else. The independent shops are great, we bought a few things and had ice creams. The cafe is my only slight gripe in that the man serving (owner?) barely managed a hello and seemed almost annoyed by the queue of customers. The food and seating were brilliant though, fair prices, quick and fresh food. The play area was a great bonus as it's all enclosed and the kids were able to safely play.

I then watched her pour my drinks as she spat in two of them!!!!! I was disgusted!!! I told a member of staff, an elderly man named John who said, leave her alone she’s sexy and young- once again I was disgusted. Trust me, I will get to the bottom of this!!!

As the restaurant began to fill up with smoke the young waitress was in a state of distress and some what panicky shouting to a very laid back John that the Kitchen was on fire. John continued to serve us our food before taking a steady stroll to see what the fuss was about and thereafter calm was restored. I found the unexpected calamity somewhat entertaining and certainly passed the time whilst we were waiting, for what seemed an eternity, for a sandwich and a bowl of soup. That said the portion size was huge a freshly cooked chicken breast, encased in fresh white bread, drizzled with a delicious sweet chilli sauce and a crisp fresh salad that would have served two. I want to give a higher score but I am torn between very good value for money food and questionably slow service. On that basis I will return again when hopefully the whole dinning experience will have improved and also to see if John is still practising his firefighting skills & if he has found second gear!

These came with toast and choice of tea or coffee.Wow! What a plate full! The food was piping hot as it had been cooked to order and for the price paid was exceedingly good value. My only slight criticism was there was a lot of oil on the plate that seemed to come from the fried bread, but that is probably something personal to me as I am not the biggest friend bread fan.We went in not really knowing what to expect and I have to say we were pleasantly surprised.

APPALLING! Possibly the worst service I have ever received anywhere. Multiple menu items not available, when the restaurant was empty, having booked in advance. Only made aware of this a long time after we had ordered and paid. When we complained we were told 'there had been no inconvenience!'. Each time we complained, another child came to tell us the same, no resolutions offered at any stage, even when we asked! We were told, by the same children, the manager was un-available. (we could see her behind the bar!). so we asked more and were told the same. After realising we were not going to get any food, we asked for a refund. When they processed this - they charged us the full bill again! When we tried again for further refunds, they were unable to process. None of them knew how to work the machine. The manager was still behind the bar, and at no pint came to assist. Several groups waiting to be served, subsequently left without any food or drink! AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

Then quickly flicked something off the paper that the food is going to be wrapped up in!!! Was a dry boggie!! Then she proceeded to ask me what I wanted. I asked her to wash her hands!!! She went out the back . The owner said nothing . I asked for my money back and canceled my order. DISGUSTING!
