Food was hot… a big plus for me. Need more table staff and staff do need to keep an eye on the desserts as they were often all gone

Dobbies has destroyed this once lovely garden centre. They’ve reduced it to an eclectic expensive soulless warehouse. Checkout women was miserable! Cafe is more like a canteen and I found it almost impossible to find a clean plate in the pile of illegally clean plates. There was no ambiance or atmosphere of any kind! The management respond to the criticism by way of acknowledgement but they’ve done nothing about it. I should have read the reviews before going as I could have saved myself a journey! What a flea pit! Surprised at Waitrose!

Really nice chilled atmosphere when arriving c. 8pm on Friday 21st Feb. Got served straight away. No crowding, found a table. Leffe was topped to the brim and very tasty. Food however was a different matter - My order of chicken topped bacon + cheese was devoid of any heat at all. The peas were literally stone cold. The chips that were served with it were hot. My wife's Barbecue chicken pizza was poorly cooked the dough virtually uncooked in places. The barbecue sauce had just been squirted in a couple of places on top rather than being an integral part of the pizza base. We did talk to the waiter (of apparent chinese extraction) however an AI robot would have had more empathy. We didn't think it was worth our while complaining and sending the dishes back as who knows what might happen in the kitchen to punish us for deigning to complain. So the next night of our stay in Brentwood we went to the supermarket and got a takeaway kebab !

I can’t understand why this lovely cafe gets such bad reviews The owner is always pleasant, the coffee is excellent, the menu is interesting, there are large clean seating areas and wonderful views. What more could you ask. I’m really worried that this excellent cafe will be forced to close and there will be no choice but the truly dreadful Starbucks nearby. Now I shall keep driving past that.

It’s an average services. Toilets and refreshments- all you need. I’ve visited better, and I’ve visited worst. When travelling it does what it says on the box. Like the neon light section, was a fun addition.

Me and my girlfriend didn't like this place at all. We had a buyagift voucher. We was greeted by a lady at the front desk who seemed to be in a bad mood, all other staff were great. The starters was awful, the main, which was steak and chips was ok but great. The desserts was nice but had to pay extra. Drinks are expensive and also have to pay service charge. Both me and my girlfriend would rather of gone to 5guys around the corner and spent way less money and had better food.

Nice spot, lovely staff but!! Building in need of updating, and the food is of very low quality, and overpriced, also waited a long time and then part of the order we placed was not ordered by the staff member taking orders! This is a historic venue but sadly it was probably at its best in 1965 😢

Encontramos que el área de la cafetería necesita una buena limpieza, imposible de encontrar una mesa que había sido despejada, los clientes limpiando las mesas ellos mismos poniendo montañas de ollas en otras mesas. Cuando el personal finalmente despejó las mesas, el solo tuvo una limpieza muy rápida. Las sillas están muy manchadas.

I took my mum and daughter for coffee and a cake today. We waited about 30 mins for a coffee which was not a problem as my daughter was in the play area, but when the drinks and cake came the younger of the servers dumped the tray on the table. She didn’t say one word..nothing..just dumped the tray coffee split forks for the cake went across the table. She didn’t even look back terrible service!!!

I just spent over 30 minutes queueing behind only 5 cars to get to the front and be told hi welcome to kfc can I take your order we only have popcorn chicken and mini fillets left are you for real!!? A multi million/billion pound company and you can’t keep your stores stocked until closing!! Absolute joke!!! Thanks for wasting my time and fuel!!!!!! No offer of compensation just oh I can do a popcorn box meal no I don’t want a popcorn box meal I want a proper meal a burger you know that you should have in at all times the one thing you actually should be making you didn’t even have original chicken 😂 oh and I got a sorry about the wait!!! It’s absolutely laughable this kfc word of advise to anyone visiting the isle of Sheppey don’t go to this kfc in thomsett way your just be queueing for nothing!!!

Lees face it, most motorway services in most countries are pretty grotty Popped into Leigh delamere today for a quick comfort break I have to say the toilets surprised me as to their cleanliness - usually have to hold my breath but these were not bad at all!

We have been coming here for over 30 years on our way on holidays from Norfolk. We heard it is closing at the end of the year so we came in for one last breakfast. As usual, the staff were polite and friendly, the service was quick and the food hot and delicious. Excellent value -a good plate full for £7.50. I have no idea why there are so many negative reviews on here; I have NEVER had a bad experience. It’s closure is very sad and the end of an era.

A great cafe and friendly staff with a fenced off dog exercising area. Also had new, very clean toilets. Nice little stop off point.

I used to come here a lot when I was younger with my family and even had a 16th birthday meal in the function room at the back. EWas always a great place to eat and relax.
