The best restaurants in England

Too good! We went there for the history of gin and its tasting. Thanks to Stefania and July for their welcome and the good things they prepared for us. The next day we went back and it was so good!

Love the location - so calm despite being close to several underground stations. The staff is friendly and welcoming, the room very comfortable. I went with junior suite so plenty of space and big bathroom with bath tub and shower. Breakfast was lovely with table service.

Have eaten there many times over the last 8 years, never fails to deliver

We stayed here last summer and it was lovely. However, having booked again for us and disabled family, our bookings were abruptly cancelled because they’ve decided to chase bigger money event clients. (Or some such barely legible nonsense) Really unreliable, greedy and unprofessional. Honestly, they don’t deserve the 5* review I left last time. Good luck chasing the big money.

Highly recommend this place for family get togethers , this is the second time now we have had 25 + adults and children’s meals here , we have phoned the menu through and all the food came out together and it was delicious well worth the money , and there is a fabulous play park / beer garden outside for the kids , and bonus yesterday a couple of horses with there riders , they let them sit and pet the horses the kids loved it . The staff are very polite and efficient and it’s a lovely place to spend time here . Will be going again and thank you to the staff

Excellent vegan cafe in central Southsea - and a short walk from Canoe Lake and the Butterfly Museum for afterwards with the family. Coffee and food both excellent. Also takeaway option from a hatch so you can grab on the go if you’re out and about.

I absolutely love the Grainstore. Food impeccable lovely atmosphere. However, I booked a table for Sunday lunch on Sunday 23 rd March. I was in the Grainstore on Friday and said to the staff see you Sunday !! We arrive for our Sunday roast to find the doors locked! More customers stood outside!!! A lady opens the door and says sorry we are closed for a private function!!!! Not impressed why take my booking? No information stating it was closed on Friday regarding Sunday… this is very poor . So disappointed

We have visited Rajrani on numerous occasions over the years and it is always our first choice when eating out. Always a pleasant family atmosphereand the staff are friendly and professional with everything being immaculately clean and presented. I can say that every choice of dish I have had has been cooked and spiced perfectly, My wife tried a new option from the menu, served with asparagus and broccoli and it was fantastic. Portion sizes are huge and we are always well satisfied. Another excellent experience, many thanks to Josh, TJ and team. Chris and Sue
