The best restaurants in United Kingdom serving British food

I’ve only knocked a star off as I’m a vodka drinker, and the vodka selection is not good. No grey goose, no belvedere, only Smirnoff or absolute, and for me absolutely not. for a pub with the most amazing food, amazing atmosphere and excellent staff and chef, I would expect a decent vodka. That’s the only fault I have.so not major. hopefully on my next visit, and i definitely will be returning, they have a vodka that is a better choice over Smirnoff. I would recommend anyone visit this pub. It’s fantastic and the food will leave you feeling very happy with the choice.

Amazing pub! Brilliant atmosphere, awesome food, fab service. The staff were absolutely first rate too! Loved it and deffo coming back.

The food is consistently good here. I can highly recommend the T-bone. The mac and cheese, cauliflower cheese and onion rings are my favourite sides. The staff are always friendly. It has a nice warm atmosphere with.

Visited recently and had the burger from the specials board along with the Black Forest trifle for dessert—both were absolutely amazing! The flavours were spot on, and the portion sizes were generous without being over the top. The service was excellent too—staff were really friendly, welcoming, and attentive throughout. Great value for money and a lovely atmosphere. I’ll definitely be returning soon, especially to enjoy the lovely outside garden during the summer!

Never received our cakes with our coffees, had to chase staff half way though drinks. When food still did not appear after drinks cold or consumed, left paying just for the drinks. 45 mins to get it right, failed at every turn. Food looks nice, all the right suppliers, shame I didn't get to try any of it...

Annabel's is the main reason I live in London, even though my home is in Madrid. I've been a member since 2015, and I hope to stay a member for the rest of my life. The opulence, the decadence, the class, the tradition and the sheer splendour of this Club is unmatched the world over.

Lovely Sunday lunch under new management. We all enjoyed our Sunday lunch tasty food and lovely service. We had the standard beef and we would probably have the large next time. All the extras were included which was a nice touch.

Toast and Honey, yum yum. The food is a delight and lots of choice all well made. Visiting the farm shop after the cate (although we came for the farm shop) is a must. Lots of great stuff to buy.

This is our favourite pub when visiting Largs. They do 1/2 portions on certain menu mains. It was exceptionally busy but they got us a seat within 10 mins. and our order taken very quickly. Highly recommended

Popped in here for dinner as staying overnight a few doors up. Had a very warm welcome from Connor, who provided a very attentive friendly service throughout. I ordered the sirloin steak from the a la carte menu, which had a good variety of dishes. It arrived quickly, was hot and cooked to absolute perfection. There were a few other diners in there who were also clearly enjoying their meals. A great location, reasonably priced for a good quality meal, and superb service. Thank you Connor for brightening my evening.

We had a lovely meal out at the heart of Northumberland. We had sausage & mash / burger & chips both super tasty and good portion sizes for price.
