Amazing little cafe found it last year August 2022 as was doing our laundry and popped in for something to eat while we waited for washing, great food and great service from mick and his wife in the kitchen 😀

A wonderful cafe run by a very welcoming husband and wife team. A cosy relaxed atmosphere, but spacious enough to be able to move and chat freely. Incredibly tasty home cooked meals - and great serving sizes. Fantastic value for money too. Overall….great food, perfect location, wonderful value.

Had 2 breakfasts today. One breakfast was meat based and one was vegetarian. Both came with tea and toast. £5.75 each which included the tea and toast. Absolutely brilliant value. Food was hot, tasted lovely and overall would recommend highly and will be going back (especially after a few drinks the night before).

Visited today - amazing breakfasts! Requested extras which were no problem. Everything freshly cooked. Very reasonably priced - we will definitely be back!

A lovely cafe run on Torquay Road going towards Torquay. Affordable prices and lovely staff who work very hard and will cater to all your needs. A meat and potato pie home made which reminds me of being back home. Always busy and cheerful. Would recommended folk pop in for a bite to eat David

Popped in for breakfast one morning in Sept and so glad i did. The gentleman who served me was fantastic and so polite. I had a small fry up (tweaked by the gentleman) as a full English i now know would have been too much for me!!. Tea and toast included in the fantastic price! Food was lovely and would definitely recommend to anyone visiting the area as i know i will be back!! Thank you for a great breakfast and looking after me.

Great big portions, good value and jolly owners. Came back the day after as it was so good. The daily roasts are excellent and there's plenty of choice including the specials. Excellent, will be back (again).

We stayed at the Paignton (South) Premier Inn, however we preferred to eat elsewhere, so looked for recommendations online, we found the For Seasons Cafe had good reports. We went to try it, and were pleasantly surprised, the cafe was very clean inside, and the staff were helpful, friendly and accomodating. Breakfasts were ordered at a very reasonable cost, when they arrived at the table they were just as pictured on their promotion, and tasted excellent, so good were they that we had all our 5 breakfastes there, even on the last day which was in the opposite direction to our homeward bound journey. We heartily reccomend the Four Seasons Cafe on Torquay road.

The food was excellent, very friendly atmosphere, the owners were very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.

A warm welcome and a delicious, good value breakfast. The owners were very accommodating - we would not hesitate to return.

Today we visited this cozy little cafe after passing it many times. It was the last day of our holiday and decided to have a cooked breakfast before our long journey home. We had the most lovely homemade breakfast with delicious fresh coffee it was presented really well and all tasted beautifull. The place its self was very clean with a homely welcome feeling and staff were very polite and friendly and we will definitely be returning on our next trip to Paignton

we had a superb ,very economical breakfast full wited service we were pampered it was great ! a small cafe but very clean and friendly owners who bend over backwards to satisfy your needs .

Have not been here for some years, but the new owners of 4 months have carried on where the previous owners left off.The gent doing front of house was polite and attentive and we ordered three diverse meals, a roast dinner, all day breakfast and omlette & chips.All 3 meals came out in quick succession, piping hot and very tasty and very well presented.Very good home cooking all reasonably priced and highly recommended.

The cafe has recently been taken over by new owners . The food is excellent and well priced. If you want any extras or less not a problem. Very welcoming almost like going round to a friends for dinner. Highly recommended.

We have enjoyed this cafe for years with the Previous owners. Having learned it had been taken away over, we had our usual large breakfast.

The change of owners has not changed things, still a great breakfast. I like black pudding and it is a good thick slice. Mick is welcoming and very social. Will recommend to anyone looking for a good cafe in Preston, Paignton. Now open on Tuesdays, and closed on Sunday.

I had a cooked breakfast which was delicious the staff was very nice and cheerful will be going again

food gone down hill a bit, gravy on my roast dinner was watery cabbage over cooked, cant fault the friendly staff , will give it another try to see if it improves

My husband and I went in again today to see what the new owners and food was like and it was just as good as it's always been! The new owners seem really friendly and the breakfast was outstanding. We will continue to support the local cafe. 5*

Brought a band up from Cornwall to play at the Riviera Centre. Whilst they were practicing at the church hall up the road, we popped in for food. Hubby and I are a big fan of breakfasts, so we had the set standard full English breakfast. The food was amazing and freshly cooked. Service was lovely. Just one thing that could do with changing is the fact that the breakfast comes with tea, but you have to pay extra for coffee. Maybe have a price for breakfast with tea and maybe a slightly higher price for breakfast with coffee. Other than that can’t fault this cafe.

a lovely quaint little cafe , we had breakfast here this morning , a lovely friendly couple took care of us , the breakfast was lovely , well cooked and piping hot ,the prices were amazing a wonderful experience would thoroughly recommend it to you all .

We popped in for breakfast with some friends we all thought it was excellent tasted good hot and well presented . i also bought 2 homemade mice pies very nice .

A great place for a full English breakfast, with optional extras. Good strong tea, no dish water here. Lunches and specials available. Closes early after noon and all day Tuesdays.

This little cafe is nice to pop in for beverages , snacks or lunches at sensible prices , there is parking across the road and the service at the cafe is swift

We have been coming here for years and the food is amazing. Good home cooked meals, good portion sizes and lots of choice. Excellent service and atmosphere. I highly recommend!

If you haven't visited this wonderful traditional cafe then you must. The English breakfast is the best in the bay, the Sunday lunch is a proper plate of veg and meat and is such good value that we now go as often as possible. I'm still looking forward to trying the homemade steak and kidney pudding ( yes, pudding !! ). You can reserve a table.

Love this place! Both owners are very welcoming, good choice of food. It is simple, but just what you need. Lovely little fresh cakes on the counter and a cosy atmosphere. My husband regularly goes here for fry-ups!

After choosing to dine out at 4 Seasons, I decided on the poached salmon, unfortunately it was rather "rubbery" and not very fresh at all, and my friend, who suggested we dine there, ordered the turkey & ham pie and was likewise dissapointed that "it was not as good as it used to be" in her words. So we will give it a miss in future.

Lucky to live nearby and have always found the service fantastic and the food good. Great for lunch and have had a roast on sunday which was fabulous too

We ate at this cafe with our two autistic children and our dogs while on holiday. They welcomed us in with our dogs rather than outside. The waitress was lovely. She served our children beautifully, understanding them without explanation. She was able to talk to them and have us answer. This is brilliant for our family, the boys look fine so we loved the sensitivity of this.

My husband and I went with some friends who have regularly eaten at the Four Seasons and I can see why they go there, the food was excellent. The roast dinners and salad that were ordered were generous portions. What some people may not know is that there is a small patio/garden at the back. Although there was only one table at that time it was lovely to sit out in the sunshine. You have to go into the cafe to order the food and then go back outside and walk round the corner to the back and up the short drive. The garden is hidden away near the end and as my friends have a dog it is why they always eat outside.

Got caught in a downpour walking back to Torquay so dived in here for shelter and ended up having a great lunch.This is an honest local cafe with a very friendly owner and a real local social scene going on.Food is good quality English cafe fayre done to a high standard, it's very clean, prices are good and all in all a great place - if i lived locally I would visit often.

Mi novio y yo acabamos de volver de nuestras vacaciones en Paignton. Elegimos ir a desayunar y terminamos aquí más de una vez. El personal es muy acogedor y amable. Su comida era hermosa y encantadora decoración hacen una taza! Sus precios son más que razonables.

Fuimos a almorzar ayer justo antes de las 2 pm. Kieran ordenados un gran desayuno preparado con té y pedí un bocadillo de atún con una coca cola de dieta. La comida era excelente y el servicio rápido. Buena relación calidad-precio. Sin duda ir a cenar y disfrutar de un amigo.

Estábamos aquí en una visita a viejos amigos y decidimos almorzar en la cafetería del Four Seasons. Nos dieron una cálida bienvenida del personal, que siempre es un buen comienzo. La comida era excelente, así como el todo el servicio que nos dieron.

Always greeted with a welcoming smile and space made available. The roasts are the best value in Torbay the dearest is roast lamb for just over £7 for a really good plateful of five slices of meat, loads of spuds, Yorke and 3 veg plus gravy to die for and mint sauce. Such a treat thanks boys oh and the homemade almond slice is really something else!!

Came here for a quick lunch.... what a great little cafe very clean and tidy the owners obviously pride themselves in it and are lovely welcoming people... all the food was freshly made and as i wasn't feeling too well i chose the curry to warm me up and i have to say it was lovely and did the trick. I would definitely come back and would recommend a visit for great food, a warm welcome and great prices

Sunday lunches are so popular here that booking is almost essential. The food is well-prepared, traditional, British-style and service is warm and friendly. Nice for a quick coffee or a daily lunch...there are often 'specials' and these are worth a try. It is good to have veggies that are not over-cooked!

What can I say.....good decent home cooked food at reasonable prices....it won't break the bank. We visit often ...on this visit it was a very busy lunch but we managed to grab a table. We ordered a chicken and leek pie and a chicken and mushroom pie.......both were individually made.......piping hot ....pastry was as good as my own...a delight.. U can always tell a good eatery and this place is no exception.... Will be back for more.

been eating here for the last 10 years and it was taken over either 3 or 4 years ago it started off brilliant after the takeover but standards are slowly slipping the food has gone from great to agerage

Nice little cafe, quite traditional. Good breakfast well priced. My partner had ham and cheese toastie with a salad garnish. Nice with tasty cheese.Two cups of tea (mine included with breakfast) and less than £9. Result.

We come for our annual holiday with family and we visit the four seasons once or twice during our stay, the breakfasts are scrumptious and the service is always welcoming and friendly xx

Tried the 4 Seasons yesterday for take out bacon butties, which resulted in us going back for a full breakfast this morning. We were pleased with the quality and service, in fact it was very good. Clean and efficient. Full English, plus tea and toast = £3.95 each, great value. Will be going there more often.

Found it very clean and staff were wonderful...A nice young man called Daniel served me, a pleasure to find a respectful teenager with manners...Food tasty and excellent value for money.Was a pit stop but will definitely be revisiting.Well done.

My Son and I went in last Thursday lunchtime & although I had been in before it was my Sons 1st visit. We both had the roast lamb dinner. As usual the food was perfect and although I was totally full I managed to eat homemade apple crumble with lashings of custard (much to my Sons amazement). You also can't fault the service, cleanliness and cost. Can't wait to pop in again. Excellent!

Called in on impulse one wet blustery cold day wanting lunch. This is a really good decent cafe, offering good value for money. It's very popular with locals wanting a decent lunch. It's not the snazzy high end kind of boutique place, but rather a good solid basic cafe. The owners attitude to their customers is exemplary. They seemed to know all the customers almost by name, and to really care for them. Nothing was too much trouble. I had an excellent roast chicken lunch - and was so full couldn't cope with dessert. Will Definately return.

Went for breakfast Friday. Good choice on menu and everything freshly cooked. Premises were warm and comfortable. Very busy so a little wait for the good as its freshly cooked in order.

Years ago this was a dismal and dirty place with disinterested owners, sticky carpets and a one star hygiene rating - definitely a cafe to avoid.Then new owners Kevin and Ed took it by the scruff of the neck, gave it a good clean, redecorated, installed new equipment and haven't looked back since. It's clean, light and airy with good, freshly prepared food and has deservedly become popular, especially for breakfasts, and we use it at least once per week.

A lovely place to eat,clean and tidy. The food was simple but tasty and well presented. The staff were friendly and efficient. Good value for the money and a lovely atmosphere.

We usually have a breakfast here when we visit my mother. The cafe is always clean and generally very busy. We tend to book. The breakfast really is very good and excellent value for money. I always enjoy it. The coffee (cappuccino) is ok - machine coffee. Improve the coffee and provide serviettes and this rating would become a 5.

We Went here with friends for lunch as they live close by and recommened it they were right the food was lovely and plenty of it the premises were clean staff couldnt do enough for us will be going again soon Thankyou

A good value breakfast in pleasant cafe. What can you say. £3-75 for a full English with 2 sausages 2 rashers of crisp bacon egg toast and a choice of beans or tomato washed down with a mug of tea. Served nice and hot . The cafe was very popular and although wasn't the best breakfast I've ever had it was very good for the price.

My partner and I visit the four seasons about once a fortnight for a fried breakfast wich is always great but today we thought we would try out the roast chicken and I must say that it was lovely all cooked to perfection and plenty of it and the place was spotlessly clean as always and kev and ed where very welcoming and friendly as usual x

Was told about this cafe by friends so thought I would try it as I was in the area. On entering the cafe I was greeted with a smile and good morning... Good start. I sat at a table and looked at the menu..quiet extensive...I decided on large breakfast...order at the counter and was told it wouldn't take long. I was brought my mug of tea and shortly my breakfast followed. Large was the word...all freshly prepared tasty and hot. Don't pass this place by...it's a little gem. The staff are so friendly and the food is very good. Will certainly be back for more.

On my annual trip down visiting family I decided to have a look on trip advisor to find a nice cafe local to where I was staying. Read some great reviews so popped in. Order was taken promptly, not the best service.. felt like more attention was made to friends or locals in the cafe. Found the food to be a little over cooked for how I usually like it and not the best quality produce . Overall a little disappointed but you get what you pay for I suppose

Third time my friends and I have breakfasted here, so ample time to get a good overall impression of the place. As ususal the owner was friendly and chatty. It was a nice relaxed atmosphere with a mix of other diners; local office workers, retired couples, tourists and a few locals popping in for a breakfast like us. We ordered a veggie breakfast, a smaller breakfast and a huge everything but the kitchen sink breakfast! We had mugs of steaming hot tea and toast galore. The prices are excellent and the food was served very quickly. Everyone enjoyed their food and we sat and had a second cuppa while we got our breaths back and had a good natter. We weren't rushed out either which was nice.This has certainly become our cafe of choice after trying just about every one in the area. It does what it says on the tin basically. Serves good quality, well priced food in a pleasant setting. What more could we ask?

Popped in today for a biting on - really good - exactly what you would want from a cafe - good coffee - great toasted sandwiches - nice people. No parking but still busy so that tells you a lot!

I have been visiting this establishment since it reopened under new management. I thought it was about time I shared my experience. I fit kitchens for a living and always look for a local café that does a well priced breakfast and the four seasons is the best. The menu is extensive and the food is great. The only issue is that word has got around so either go early or late for lunch as its always busy. You can always tell a good place to eat by the amount of retired people eating there and here is no exception. Their home made cakes and deserts are excellent and they do a fantastic 3 course meal at Christmas. Quite simply. If you are in Paignton and want something to eat there is no better place to be!

The four seasons cafe is clean and is very reasonable for price . Worth popping in if your passing by . Small garden out the back if you don't wish to sit inside . Happy and helpful staff .

Popped in here after going in the dive shop up the road, and well pleased I did, in fact visited here twice.Brilliant value all day breakfasts, and the rest of the menu looked real good value too. I will be making a point of calling in each time im in the area as much as poss.Free street parking nearby (think its a 1 hour limit), and its on the main road between Paignton and Torquay, at Preston shops.If you value your fry ups, or just feel comfortable in a proper normal café without all the inflated price fancy faffy stuff, this is the place to go.

My hubby and I found this place quite by accident. First time we went, we popped in for a snack and a coffee, however, now go regularly for Sunday lunch!! Have even taken the parents who loved it just as much as we did!! Excellent value for money, food is wonderful and everything is served as it should be!! Staff are lovely and you are always made to feel welcome. Nothing is ever too much trouble!! I also have to add that I have a soft spot for their Ice Cream Pavlova as they make their own meringues and the have a chewy middle!!!! Nothing to beat it!!

Popped in by accident and really glad we did....The owners of this cafe make you really welcome, an art lost nowadays with a lot of businesses.....Our food order was taken quickly despite how busy they were, and even more impressive, food served in a timely fashion which was both great value and filling!!!! Will be returning next time we are in the area withought a doubt...Well done Kevin and Ed!!!!!!

Go here regularly. Good home cooked food, clean, good service, good value. Owners Ed and Kevin always friendly. Decor inside really nice. Only criticism is outside sign could do with changing as doesnt do the place justice from the outside. Would definitely recommend to anyone who wants a good hearty breakfast or lunch.

Have been going here after the New owners took over, lovely food to Eat in or Takeaway, Friendly Service ,Reasonably priced ,newly refurbished, What more could you wish for , going nearly every week now. Love It.

It's a year since I last commented on this cafe. If anything it's got better. The breakfasts are wonderful...no nonsense English, very well cooked, speedy friendly service and very well priced. The friendliness and efficiency, cleanliness and comfort are amazing at the price. It's got better over the year since I last visited. They deserve their success.

Came across this cafe by chance one sunday so went in for lunch and was pleasantly suprised by the quality of the food the value and the friendliness of the owners have been back many times since including a christmas meal and always found the atmosphere the same, the quality good and real value for money so give them a try yourself and you wont be disappointed

Me and my dad went there because we thought we would make a change to where we usually go to. The staff are lovely people and the food is great but just need more things on the English breakfast e.g black pudding and it was really good because we could charge our phones it was very kind and good price overall.
