Nice town pub with cheap drinks and sky sports how ever . There was a older gentleman perving on younger women and not behaving himself. There was door staff but unfortunately he was a lone worker and this rude man should of been banned from this establishment .

The Breakfast has definitely gone down in my estimation, the sausage and bacon were of poor quality and hash browns. I felt rushed as I was still eating my toast when my plate was taken away from me. I will be going elsewhere in future.

Without a doubt this is the best roast dinner ever. Fresh, hot, tasty and loads of it. Tender meat, nicely cooked veg and a great yorkie. Staff and service great. Wish we lived nearer!!

Great place to watch sport and have a drink. They also do food from the establishment. Mainly attracts drinkers and can be a good atmosphere on a Friday and Saturday night. The locals are all very welcoming and the staff are really nice and helpful. Perfect location for a night out. Outside is covered and there is a lot of seating throughout. Good value too.

Good place to watch Champions League football.

Visited on Friday and Saturday evenings for a couple of beers/food and to watch the rugby World Cup. The bar staff were all excellent- friendly, helpful and welcoming. The food was perfectly good bar grub- simple but tasty and good portions. Jail Ale was too cold, flat and very poor. To be honest I didn’t think much of the Thatchers Gold, Guinness or Poretti either. The bar was very quiet on both nights and I wonder if the poor drinks quality is a factor as the venue, staff and food were all good. Special thanks to Megan (I think that was her name!)

Really doesn’t disappoint such good value for money Other places you can pay at least £6 for a cocktail and it be terrible so watered down and hardly any alcohol in it whereas here they do a proper posh cocktail that would be worth at least £8-10 for £7 or 2 for £12 which is amazing

The food was really nice, but they brought our starters and main out together, which was odd. They took mains back but it was a strange thing to do, Having eaten here before, this has never prev happened, staff were as nice as ever though

Less said about the landlord, the better.

Food was good and filling, the staff were very attentive as well. It was medium busy the day we went, but the sun was shining and the place was well presented and clean. Good place to go if you fancy a nice burger, decent portion sizes too.

We called in here on both mornings of our recent weekend break in Paignton on the recommendation of our guesthouse owners,an absolutely top notch fry up and great friendly service.

Food was lovely and well priced! Service from waiters and bar staff were brilliant. Only issues we had was tables were very sticky and there were a few flies in the restaurant but can be expected on a hot day when doors are open. The bar is very busy and quite loud as it is a sports bar but a good atmosphere all in all. Would return.

Malc and Tracy plus staff are the perfect hosts. Look forward to seeing them each year and always welcomed. Food is top class and they will go out of their way if you request certain fish, steaks etc. sometimes have to reserve a table but that is because of their popularity.

Food was fantastic unfortunately I didn't get photos, but my partner had the vegetarian lasagna, I had the house burger with chilli, It was decent portion size, worth the money, food tasted well and presented well, atmosphere was nice but we were here during lunch time on Friday. Will be back again at some point in the future when visiting Paignton again.

Absolutely bang on place to eat. Great attentive staff, lovely food, reasonably priced and couldn’t be more accommodating … absolutely everything on point !!! Will come any time I’m in town again.

Walked in on the off chance with 2 dogs, still serving Sunday Dinners, I had the Lamb my husband had Beef and my Daughter had Turkey. All 3 dinners were so nice! The meat was cooked to perfection the food was hot as well as the plates, would definitely recommend. Thank you for the great service.

We visited for a Saturday morning breakfast. Been lots of times before and it was the same great quality breakfast. Good variety, hot, and friendly service. Always recommend to family and friends.

Tasty food and massive screen to watch F1. Lovely attentive staff and efficient too. Took time to chat with our F1 mad son about the race. Relaxed and happy atmosphere . Definitely recommend

Away on holiday and we came here for breakfast and watch the women's football. Great friendly service from the staff. The breakfast was good too.

8.50 for the sorties chicken wrap I've ever seen. It was clearly microwaved using cheap ingredients and utterly frankly was trash. The staff were friendly, with one even showing me to a table where I could charge my phone. I nearly asked for my money back and won't be returning. The 1 star comes from the fact that I was insulted by microwave food worse than Whetherspoons

Myself and 2 work friends visited last night for some drinks and food. We decided to all have Tapas and wow! They were so nice, great portion sizes and tasted great! Was a really chilled evening and the staff made us feel really welcome. Highly recommend!!

This an amazing chilled bar. Excellent selection of drinks, food and always such friendly staff. Big screens with sports on that aren't intrusive. Food seemed especially delicious today. Great place to bring the family and the dog along. Absolute little sun trap to watch people go by. Top marks today as always but most definitely worthy of 5 stars 🌟

Stopped off for breakfast we were seated with a friendly approach and left to look at our menus. After about five minutes our order was taken no issues and very pleasant service. I ordered a full English and my husband had the avocado with poached eggs. Food came out quickly hot and delicious 😋 would definitely recommend 👌

Over salted food, I have eaten at this place six times because of reviews, but the quality varies. I gave it a chance because others wrote that is good food but it really is not. Also, I gave it a few more tries just to see if the average might balance my review when I was insulted by the owner for making a comment about the food. This owner is short with a little attitude typical of his lower class. I am not recommending this place for two reasons: low quality food and poor service!

Came here as our usual was shut, sat down outside and had to go in to get menus, would've been nice to have been greeted and handed menus so we felt welcome. Sat outside as it was a nice morning and had two breakfasts, was okay. couldn't eat my eggs as they were undercooked. Service was good.

We have visited here on numerous occasions and every time they are spot on. Welcoming, super fast, amazing tasty breakfasts and all at a great price. Will always visit when in the area.

My father and I were visiting from the US and we stumbled upon it because it was the only place with a patio seat open. We split the fish sandwich and the chili cheese fries. I’VE NEVER HAD BETTER. I think about them at least a few times a week. And the staff was so friendly and kind. When we come back to Paignton Grand Central is my first stop.

Visited the Grand Central twice during a recent family holiday. Good food, lots of choice, friendly service and a great place to watch sports. One of our nights coincided with a big football match. We had reserved a table and the great thing (for us!)...

Bar woman went out of her way to get us a table for the football match. Although I am not clear why standing not allowed. Good service. On holiday so didn't pay too much attention to price. I only had calamari which was OK. Its a hit and miss dish at the best of times anyway. Hardly anywhere tastes really good so to get an OK isn't too bad.

This was a a nice place to find that offered a nice varied menu if you didn't want the normal Fish and Chips or burgers, although they do have it on the menu. The bubble and squeak cakes were lovely and went down well with sausages and belly pork.
