This restaurant was over priced the food was so bland nothing about it was portuguese, the way they add vat and service charge is very misleading the vat should be included in the price of the food. When you look at a menu it should have the total price of the meal as you think the meal is a price then when you get the bill they have added on another £20 for vat and service charge. I will never recommend this restaurant the staff were miserable

We visited for dinner with friends on a Saturday evening. It’s non-licensed BYOB, with a reasonable £1.50pp corkage/glasses charge, which is very reasonable. Service was relaxed, friendly and superb throughout. Dishes were all freshly cooked, we could have chosen almost anything on the menu as everything sounded delicious. Our choices were all excellent - absolutely superb bistro cookery. Highly recommended - we’d definitely return if we visit Bangor again.

The location is ideal and a beautiful outside space for families. It's a shame it's let down so badly by the food. The 'ceasar' salad on the menu was not a ceasar salad but came with strawberries, orange and awful croutons. The sandwich was bland. I just think for such an amazing location the businesses is making it much harder for themselves by over complicating simple dishes.

A lovely sunset from the car park to an absolutely amazing meal with great service! The staff are so friendly and attentive to make your visit the best experience possible. The food was ordered and with us in no time at all. We had a starter of mushrooms which were lovely! Then we had the lasagne and goujons for main which was one of the best lasagnes ever eaten! For pudding we had a sundae and treacle tart which were so so tasty. Could not fault one element of this meal and it’s priced reasonably too. Best food and best service we have had in a long long time! Only wish we lived locally as we’d be in here all the time!

I'm sorry to say, that after reading great reviews and having high expectations of what to expect....the experience was a huge disappointment. 6 of us booked in for Sunday dinner at 2pm,which started well,to be honest....as we were given a choice of the main room or a table set up for 6,in a separate room. We opted for the separate room and took our seats accordingly. After awhile a man came through to take our drinks order and I went 1st....."a o% Guinness please" sorry we don't have that "but I do at my other pub" OK then "could I have an elderflower please" ...."sorry we don't have that" again was the reply OK...."could I have a lime & soda please"....."sorry can't do that due to the trigger on the mixer not working" was the reply. OK...."could I have a lager shandy please"....."sorry can't do that either came the now familiar reply! By this time,it was getting embarrassing in front of the other's waiting to order their drinks and exacerbated,on the point of dehydration....I ordered a tap water.....which along with a gin & flat tonic didn't have ice in. Then.....dinner arrived. I had ordered the 3 meat roast, pork, beef & chicken (£23.50) and my expectations were high....well sadly it wasn't to be. The 3 meat roast consisted of a slice of pork,a slice of beef and a chicken leg plonked on the top...how bizarre! The meal itself was only warm and not piping hot as I would have expected.....after the drinks fiasco,I didn't feel able to complain without drawing attention myself in front of the other members of our party at the table. Finally....the bill came and as well as charging us for £2 for a lime & soda which I couldn't have, an £18 plus service charge had been added to the bill. That was the final insult.....£18 service charge for what exactly?? No drinks of choice and a luke warm meal. I wanted to dispute the service charge but again....I didn't want to draw attention to myself and possibly put my other party members in an embarrassing situation. I would like it refunded to be honest, as another issue I encountered while there....no soap in the soap dispenser despite visiting the toilet at the start of our meal and then again an hour or so later after the meal. I'm sorry, but I wouldn't eat there again or recommend to others to do so either......maybe it was "just a bad day at the office" for the pub on the day of our visit, but then the service shouldn't have been added automatically,if all of the above had been taken in to consideration.

We came here to celebrate my dad’s life. The two bar staff were so fantastic, we were a group of 25 family and all received wonderful service from the staff at the bar. Service was quick and our cocktails were so delicious, it was a shame that the Manager/owner was quite stressed and rude. We were told that we were in the way and that cocktails were cancelled because they were too busy. There were tables reserved inside for only people who were eating, these tables remained unoccupied all afternoon. We would have eaten there however the Manager/owner was not very welcoming which is a shame. Big shout out to the bar staff well done and thank you for making us welcome. I think the owner should be a lot more welcoming and friendly it would have made such a difference.

I popped in here first lunch, on a recommendation, and was suitably impressed.....will definitely return. I thoroughly enjoyed the mushrooms on toast with added poached egg - considerably elevated above what you might normally expect! And it's a nice location, particularly if you like people watching.

Wow is all I can say. I was booked in at Glewstone Court for an Afternoon Tea with my children. The whole experience was wonderful and we cannot recommend it enough. On arrival, we were welcomed by a immaculate young man, Sam- he couldn't have been more helpful. We were shown to our seats and Sam went out of his way to ensure my children were happy and had the drinks they wanted. The drinks came quickly, served by a very friendly waitress and we began. Initially, it looked as if we were going to be able to finish everything- we didn't! We started with scrumptious soft sandwiches, homemade sausage rolls and quiche. Honestly, the sausage rolls were delicious and the quiche was a perfect size. We paused for tea and coffee then moved onto the cakes and mini-puds........ My youngest is totally in love with the Rhubarb Macrons and could have eaten many more! The cakes are all made on site and the homemade lemon posset was so more-ish. We had a Paris Brest pastry- I've never had one of those before but I'll be looking out for those again. The warm scones were delicious and there was plenty of clotted cream and jam for us to all share. You could tell instantly they were freshly made. In the end, we needed to take some home in a box as we were full to the brim. We met the owner at the bar, who was delightful, friendly and had a little chat with my daughter's toy cat, much to her delight! The staff there were so kind, cheerful and helpful, the whole place had a really warm and welcoming feel. We didn't feel rushed at all- we stayed all afternoon. Glewstone is just outside of Ross and wasn't somewhere that was on my radar to eat- but I will certainly be returning. I spent my Mothering Sunday in a Georgian Manor House eating delicious food with my family- perfect!
