Called for a coffee and cake while visiting friends in clevedon. Amazing service, nothing was too much trouble even though the place was really busy. Sunday lunches looked really nice as well so may do that next time we visit

Good baguettes and courteous service

We visit regularly at weekends, combined with a walk along the promenade, and it's always a pleasure to visit No.5. The staff are friendly and welcoming (and some of them remember what we usually order!) and the cakes are excellent, with a wide choice. We keep arriving too late to eat, but one day....

Beware. Digital payment only operation hence the one star not catering for users of cash. Then... Most of the baguette was outside the bread roll, which made it look amazing... but 'twas nearly impossible to eat. Added 20% to the menu price when it came to the bill. All very weasly, sneaky and cinfidence trick. I'm not even sure if tgats lawful. Menus have to invlude VAT. Insulting customers so not impressed. Also irritating, they then had the cheek to add £2.60 'tip' to the bill without telling us, which I only noticed just in time. Lovely spot, but the ban on cash and more-for-looks-than-eating food let it down.

I'm gluten free, had a delicious sandwich but was half the size of the gluten baguette option. Great service and food just wish sandwich was larger as was still hungry. My friend enjoyed her avocado, salsa baguette.

Lovely hot chocolate, lattes and Nutella cake. A nice place to watch the world go by. Dog friendly and toilets inside. Takes contactless payment. Coffees and food came out quickly and we're high quality. Blankets provided for cold hungry cyclists and able to tuck the bikes in near our bench which is good as we wouldn't want them to be stolen. Recommend the Brioche with Bacon egg and Guac.

Food was fabulous and generous portions so felt like you were getting good value. Service was friendly and helpful and it was a lovely sunny day so we sat outside so atmosphere was great. A real treat after so many trips to cafes being overpriced and service mediocre. Thank you we’ll be back! 😀

Food is good but service has gone downhill last couple of times I have been. Service has been great in the past. The last time I went specially for breakfast (until 11am on menu and I did arrive before 11am) only when ordering to be told they had stopped early. I wasn’t notified of this while waiting to order, or when being seated which was disappointing. Even though they had stopped breakfast early they would not allow ordering from lunch menu early and the only hot item they would serve us was toast or tea cake. Not great when you have a hungry child with you.

Had an amazing Christmas festive night with friends. Often go during the day for breakfast/lunch but they put on a special for two nights. We were not disappointed. A great spot overlooking the seafront - clevedon pier all lit up. A fabulous atmosphere - the staff were attentive and welcoming. The food was absolutely delicious and tasty. The selection was impressive. Could not fault it. Please do more of these evenings.

It’s Sunday so it’s Sunday Lunch at the best eatery on Clevedon Seafront - bar none! Roast Beef and Yorkshire Pudding! And if that’s not enough three different types of carrot, parsnips, roast potatoes and red cabbage. Did I enjoy it? Do bears …….in the woods. Absolutely! So that’s the reason for 5 stars on the food. Service and atmosphere. Safe to say, that all the staff have the supreme knack of making every customer feel welcome. That’s those 5 stars. So. What’s the difference between expensive and value for money. Simple - FIVE THE BEACH

Overpriced and food not fresh. I had the falafel, guac, sweetcorn relish baguette. The baguette was tough and tasted shop bought. Falafels were cold, flavourless, dense and also didn't seem freshly made. Disappointing considering the crazy prices

best place in Clevedon for breakfast or lunch on the cliff top. Baguettes are large and well filled. The breakfast menu is a grand scale and very well prepared.

Very welcoming. Stopped off this morning for a coffee and were all made to feel very welcome even though we were cyclists lol. Great coffee and service. Two neigbouring coffee shops on the same street have gone to the effort of making signs to say no cyclists!! Give this place a visit even if you dont have a bike as the staff and coffee was great!

We visited as a party of 11 (including children) to celebrate a special event. Five the beach were exceptional in their communication with planning the meal, and even make us a cake. Thank you SO much. Brilliant service, food and cake. Would definitely recommend.

Wow I haven't tasted food so good in a long time. I had the spinach and ricotta malfatti in tomato sauce. My only complaint is I live to far away to visit more often. The staff were friendly and welcoming. AMAZING.

Went to Five The Beach today for lunch in this beautiful October weather with our dog Hugo and sat outside - ordered a ploughman’s baguette and a gluten free red pepper , goats cheese and pesto sandwich with chips - have to say it was the best lunch we have had for a long time !!! Waiting staff were lovely and friendly and it was as such a lovely chilled atmosphere with everyone enjoying the autumnal sun !! Thanks for such a lovely experience- will be back soon !

Great home-made food and nice service!

Prime example of rip off Britain. 20 % Vat added on top of shown menu prices which were already very high. Then 10% service charge added. What a cheek. If I wanted to leave a tip I would do. You have no right to add this anyway. It should be illegal for your menu prices not to include VAT. You should be open and transparent, not crafty and sly.

I was looking for something tasty to eat on Clevedon beach while waiting for my car to be serviced. This cafe makes the most delicious baguettes - it was difficult to choose which combination to pick - eventually, I opted for one with mozzarella, spinach, pastrami, and pesto - highly recommended - I will try a different one next time I visit :)

Lovely cafe overlooking the Bristol Channel near Cliifton Pier. Excellent service. It was very busy and we were advised there could be a delay in receiving our order, which was fine as the food was worth waiting, good quality and generous helpings.Definitely happy to pay the optional 10% service charge, as a quality establishment and very friendly and polite staff!

This was a lovely place to be, but unfortunately the way the room was set up meant it was impossible to hear anyone other than my immediate neighbour, which was a shame as we'd booked it for a group! It was the summer holidays though, and perhaps during normal times it wouldn't be as busy - we reserved the table and all the tables around us were reserved as well, so it's very popular! Good selection and variety of vegetarian dishes although not vegan sadly. The wait staff were friendly and accommodating (they managed to communicate to the kitchen that we ordered a plain cheese sandwich without butter for a young relation and they didn't bat an eyelid!) Quiche of the day and leek fritters were the agreed favourites. They also had a varied drinks menu, including lots of soft drinks and herbal teas. Overall, a lovely café, but I wouldn't go back during the school holidays!

This place is OK and seems to be always busy it was bustling and we managed to get a table even though we didn't book. It is very expensive for a Seaview breakfast. Set me back a whopping £64 for 2 full English and 2 posh eggs on toast plus a cup of tea, mocha, hot chocolate and apple juice. Next time I'll find a Hungary horse or greggs and save the pennies!

What an amazing find - not pretentious yet absolutely superb. Definitely 5🌟 for all aspects - location, dining outside looking onto Bristol channel, delicious meals, great coffee, very friendly service. We had late lunch/early dinner here one day and were so impressed that we came for brunch the following day. 😊 Black linguine with crab, meatballs and then full veggie breakfast were delightful.

Waited 30 minutes, didn't get served even after going in to ask 2 of the staff.

All four lunch dishes and two desserts were delicious. Nice bright atmosphere inside and friendly service. It was the perfect stop during our day in Clevedon.

Difficult to hear - acoustics not good

We dined there to celebrate the summer solstice . Unfortunately the weather wasn't good but the atmosphere inside the The Beach cafe made up for the weather.

Nice coffee and cake, but didn't appreciate the £2.50 service charge added to our bill without our knowledge. We knew nothing about it until we checked the receipt we were given after we had paid and left. Hence, we will not be returning. A real shame, as we are Clevedonians!

Great little spot by the seafront and Pier. Lovely service, great food. Perfect for a bite at lunchtime, especially on the spacious terrace if the sun is shining.

Lovely place, good location but disappointing breakfast. An eggy thick bread soaked in syrup was not I expected. Perhaps if you are to order this, ask for the syrup on the side and a crispy bacon( not poached).

Thank you for a lovely lunch this week. Both my elderly Mum (96) and Aunt (91) really enjoyed it. The food was delicious and the service was first class. Not being local, I’d phoned in advance to check on access etc and replies were friendly, helpful and honest. On arrival, our party were made welcome, assistance was offered, care was taken and we had a very happy lunch in the garden. Thoroughly recommend!

Great place on the sea front, friendly staff. We had a lovely sunday roast with all the trimmings, was really tasty and worth the price. It was a bit of a wait 45mins but the food was good quality so it wasn't a problem. Would return.

Revisted after a year and everything still great. Except the 10% service charge that added without being asked. Only saw when home as it was quite a lengthy bill. Checked some other posts and it was mentioned 2 weeks ago as well. Do the owners read this? Want to make it clearer? Sorry I don't do service charges, its someone doing their job. Do Nurses/Teachers etc get tips ? Great place to grab something whilst looking over to Wales. Great choice of food. Plenty of seating in or out

Five the Beach is one of the best cafe's me and my girlfriend have been to. We have always had an amazing experience with the food, and the service is always second to none. If you're fancying a place where the food is fabulous, the sandwiches are superb, and the cakes are heavenly, you will not be choosing wrong.

Disappointed to be charged £8 for a tuna, Swiss cheese and red onion jam baguette. There was more mayo/sauce than tuna, to the extent that I had to hold it steady or the filling was sliding off, very runny. I feel ripped off for being charged £8 for a slimey mess.

Excellent service and lovely location. We go here a lot for drinks and food and it is always 5 star food etc. Only slight issue is it gets very cold and blustery if sat near the door. We were having lunch today and every few minutes people coming in we had icy blasts of wind up our backs! Won't stop us going back as we love it, next time however we will reserve a table away from the door!

Large portions for the main meal and very good service, however we were charged a service charge of 10% at the end, and had not seen any notices on the menu indicating this. The pudding of apple and berry crumble, had no berries and was just a pile of crumble mix chucked on top of tinned apple pie filling

This place was absolutely amazing. Really friendly staff and fantastic food. We turned up for something to eat with the pet dog. Had to sit outside with the dog but luckily enough the weather was nice to do so. Great menu with lots of choice. Would definitely recommend it

Pleasant surprise as dropped into this cafe on the off chance whilst visiting Clevedon. Despite it being very busy and not pre-booking the staff managed to fit us in and were very welcoming and accommodating. The breakfast was one of the nicest I have ever had (the lovely thick tiger toast and butter was the best). Went with my two sisters and we all had different breakfasts (full veggie and stack) and all of us loved the quality of the food and the presentation. Highly recommend and can't wait to visit again soon. Well done to the team!

This was a lovely place for our breakfast after a long car journey. Clean in the cafe and friendly staff. Great service and all good cooked freshly for us. Gluten free too. Highly recommend.

Love this place!!! Photo isn't great but the coffee was so tasty, I just couldn't wait. The pain au choc 10/10. They even served it warm which I loved The service was so good. We waited a little for coffees but it was busy so expected. They informed us of the wait and were so accommodating to us. I didn't catch the waitresses name but she was so lovely. Lovely cafe on the sea front. A couple of vegan options available or can be made vegan on request. Very accommodating and friendly staff. Had the caramelised hispi cabbage, beets and substitution the feta for hummus, very delicious. Recommend when in Clevedon

Absolutely delicious Sunday lunch! Big portion sizes (photo is a child's portion!), great value for money. Stopped here with a friend and her baby after a walk on the seafront and the team squeezed us in despite being busy. Staff were super attentive and friendly. Highly recommend 5 the beach for a nice spot to eat!

We arrived and it was extremely busy however as we had pre booked we were showed to our seats. We were sat by the window although we were squished in we weren’t that bothered. Staff were lovely and very attentive. The service was very quick and food came out fast. I had cauliflower cheese and bacon which was on the specials and it was delicious and a great portion size. Although prices were on the higher side it was worth it. It was very busy so I would recommend booking if you want to be sure to get a table. I would recommend and would come again.

A place that offers a wonderful atmosphere in a privileged location with exquisite attention and refined atmosphere, there are blankets available to enjoy a wonderful cappuccino at an exceptional price, since the view and the place are a gift for the senses.

Busy new years day. Fantastic service from the staff. Coffee and food came out quickly. The gluten free full English was to die for! The nicest gluten free bread I've had in a long time!

Although they forgot some of our order, the rest was excellent. And staff were very friendly.
