EXCELLENT place for food Still full a day or two later !.Helpful staff .Clean eating area .Could do with the interior upgrading but that is down to personal taste.

Just been here for the 1st time, absolutely fantastic food. Lovely friendly staff, who can't do enough for you. Nice relaxed atmosphere. How have I never been here before!

Stayed nearby for the weekend and booked Sunday lunch which was great value and quality very friendly landlord and staff too.

Food was absolutely beautiful.we didn't give john much notice for our party of 23 but nothing was to much trouble for them. Fantastic staff and such a beautiful place to eat.see you again soon

Nice pub, the food and drink was very nice. I booked a table the night before and I was glad I did even though when we arrived we were the only people in most of the other tables had reserved signs on them and it filled up quick. The service was very fast and very friendly and the food came out quickly too. I found the prices reasonable and would recommend.

Lovely meal, visit often and never had a bad meal. Sizzling platters excellent and the meat pie great. Always enjoy our visits.

We turned up 20 minutes to the end of service to be told they had stopped serving for the day. Having just made a special trip up from the canal with two children, this was pretty disappointing. I wouldn’t bother trying again, if you’re going to go maybe call ahead to see if they can be bothered to cook.

Cracking pub. I can e here to a funeral wake in the function room. The buffet food was really very good and the beer is reasonably priced too. Later on in the evening we moved onto the bar area and the staff and customers were all very friendly and talkative. I liked it and will be sure to return.

Sorry I have only rated the atmosphere 1 star! It's cos my daughter-in-law spoiled my evening so we won't be returning with her next time!!

Great pub with fab staff, and an absolutely brilliant beer garden, especially for kids.

Brilliant staff and the food was fantastic! Had the 2 course deal and it was great value £16 for a roast pork and all the trimmings dinner all freshly cooked and piping hot and more than enough to eat and lemon meringue pie for dessert 😋😋😋 Waiting staff were all very pleasant and attentive! Definitely recommend a visit I think they have different deals on each day ?

Love the Keys. Best pub in the area. Always warm friendly atmosphere. Good food at great prices. Nice range of drinks.

The bar man had a face like a melted welly. A smile and manners wouldn't go a miss. Shame really.

Great pub food, had the salmon in hollandaise sauce with veg and it was delicious, the espresso brownie and ice cream was also a treat. Great service and really reasonable prices.

Visited here on June 27th 2024 with my husband for our wedding anniversary meal as we were staying in the village of St Martins. As we had to drive past the pub every day to go out we had noticed a full car park so decided to book a table to avoid disappointment. Table was ready on arrival and the service was excellent and the staff were happy and friendly. Food took around 15 minutes and we were not disappointed. Large portions on huge plates! The menu though did say homemade chips but these were clearly frozen chips —still nice despite this. I couldn’t finish my meal because the portion was so big. 😆 Prices were reasonable and there’s a dessert board if you want a dessert. Definitely a 10/10 and worth a visit.

Nice clean pub with decent dining area, outside play area, good sized beer garden, well kept smoking area (with external bar for busy nights) and tidy bar area with a log burner for the colder months. Good variety of fair priced meals available all well cooked, usually has a couple of hand pulls on and a goid selection of beers, ciders & lagers. Lots of TVs (including outside) for sporting events and always service with a smile. Ticks all the boxes really, great job to the team there!

Had a really nice meal. The food was amazing, quick and everyone was so friendly.

It was a busy Saturday night, the place was buzzing with a great atmosphere. We arrived with around 30 choristers who had been performing locally. We were accommodated in a most hospitable manner. Think our “boys” entertained those ppl in the pub accordingly ! Thank you to all, it was a wonderful experience.

We went after reading the reviews as we staying in st martins,we had sunday lunch,the reviews weren't wrong,food was lovely,nice n friendly staff,very reasonable price,2 mains,2 puds & drink each,£38,would go back if in the area again,worth a visit

Had lunch with our walking group (23 of us). Service was quite poor and my meal was the last to be served more than 15 minutes after the first meals arrived. One meal did not arrive at all and the waitress had to ask what my colleague what he had ordered so not too impressive. I had the Horseshoe Gammon which was advertised with homemade chips but arrived with fries. Incidentally, this was charged at £13.95 although menu lists it at £12.95. To be fair, although I didn't ask my friends if they enjoyed their food, some of the other meals looked very good. This is a nice pub but needs to get its act together on service.

Top place to eat and great staff!

We found this pub while on a Llangollen canal holiday. What a find it turned out to be! So much so, we stopped there again on the way back for Sunday lunch. The staff were extremely friendly and made us feel very welcome. The Sunday lunch was outstanding and the steak and ale pie the best I’ve tasted. We were all very impressed by the friendly service provided by the young team at lunch. Well done to you all. You could give lessons to others in customer service at its best!

I am from South Wales and was visiting friends near Wrexam. Fantastic food great value for money. Staff excellent. So good went back for lunch the following day..

We ate here yesterday after hearing rave reviews about the food and can honestly say I'm disappointed. Beef roast dinner the beef was full of gristle and extremely chewy and veg was way undercooked. Service was superb, staff are lovely and the pub is lovely inside so it's a shame.

First time for us. We were with friends who had been before. We were celebrating a friend’s birthday. Everything was freshly cooked and plenty of it. Very hot and I say this because the meat came out first followed by the vegetables. Baring in mind there was 22 of us the meats were still hot when it came time to add the vegetables to the plate. So well done guys we’ll definitely visit you again in the week that menu looked very tempting 😁 03/03/24

Excellent food excellent service and good quality meal

Amazing food, it’s home cooked, we have been a few times - Sunday dinner is the best! But food in general is excellent. Lovely atmosphere and so clean inside. Lovely and warm and welcoming. Staff there absolutely lovely and polite.

Another fantastic meal we had Friday night table for 6 people,all enjoyed the meal great quality great price with fantastic service. Well done the keys keep up the good work.

Went to The Keys pub in St Martins last night for Valentine's meal. Thoroughly enjoyable & we had pre-ordered from the special menu. Had prawn tartlett, red pepper & tomato soup, surf & turf steaks & shared delicious choc fudge cake & ice cream, brilliant!! Excellent service, as usual & extremely reasonably priced 😊. We certainly recommend this lovely pub. 👍

What can I say. Called on the off chance there would be a table for us, greeted by lovely young lady at the bar, was shown to a table by the window, we placed our drinks and food order. Drinks were brought promptly, food arrived piping hot, we were not rushed, such a lovely decorated and comfortable worm welcoming place to be. Food was delicious and service and atmosphere was fabulous. Well done all at The keys for making my visit so pleasant.

Called for lunch on the offchance without booking. We were greeted by friendly and professional staff and quickly seated. I had the two course lunch offer and chose garlic mushrooms and the roast of the day and my husband had lamb shank. The garlic mushrooms were the best I have ever eaten and both the beef and lamb were excellent and were served with a generous amount of vegetables. We did not manage deserts this time but will certainly be returning and would not hesitate to recommend The Keys.

Had a great time at The Keys, there must have been 40 of us for lunch, we had pre ordered our meals but what amazing service, all meals were lovely, served beautifully, and there was a large variety of meals, all were piping hot, could not fault a thing, well done.

Attended a Christmas celebration for 30 people at the Keys. Considering we were a party of 30 and there were other customers in the restaurant, food was piping hot, tasty, portions were generous and the service was quick and efficient. All of our party were impressed. Price was very reasonable too.

We often eat out and are disappointed at many so-called upmarket pubs. The Keys provided excellent food, large portions at extremely reasonable prices. My wife commented that the roast dinner was the best she had at any price. We will be returning

Honestly this place is the best for food locally. Reasonably priced and very generous portions. Staff are lovely too .

Didn’t book but was pleased that it was a quiet time so easily seated. It has a great choice on the menu and I choose the Cajun chicken and partner the steak and ale pie. Wow the plates are massive and it looked good and tasted fresh and extremely amazing. The salad and coleslaw where fresh and the kick to the Cajun chicken was good. The pie was the best portion I’ve seen with a huge portion of chips and beans. Would recommend to anyone.

First time ever at The Keys pub restaurant here in St. Martins and it didn't disappoint.. The dining area is spacious with wooden tables and is attractively decorated and inviting. There is a large outdoors seating area, covered section and a locals bar section on the other side of the pub with a snooker/pools table and sports TV. The staff were extremely friendly, welcoming and attentive and in no time had brought me my pint and the lunch menu to my table. I opted for the breaded ham, eggs and chips which looked lovely when it was brought to me. My food was freshly prepared, my eggs were perfect and the homemade chips were very tasty. Prices overall are very reasonable and competitive.. Thoroughly enjoyed my lunch and my visit here was certainly a very enjoyable experience. Finally, a big thank you to John & Kerry the 'brother and sister' landlord/landlady as well as to Kelsey(?) for a lovely lunch and atmosphere. Well done all!

We booked in for Sunday lunch. It was a very traditional lunch, choice of turkey, beef or pork. Lovely fresh side dish of seasonal vegetables. Very friendly staff. Would happily recommend.

At last a decent meal out!! Advertised as all home cooked and guess what IT WAS steak and ale pie best I have tasted. Nice atmosphere happy staff. Wish we lived nearer as we would be here lots and lots. Husband says it would be worth the 2 hour drive, praise indeed.

Having not been for over 6 months, we wondered if it would still be as gooda sit always has been. We are very pleased to say that it is possibly slightly better, with a warm greeting, excellent service and very economically priced and good quality food and drink

One word, Amazing !! We found this pub by accident while going to Stans Supermarket, and what a find. We have now been back 3 times. The Food - Fantastic value for money, good ole home cooked meals but 1 word of warning don't eat for a couple of days if your planning on the mixed grill !!!. Staff - It was so nice to find a pub with Staff that smile seams to be a rare commodity now a days, The staff here genuinely can't do enough to help so many other Pubs we have visited in the area have the most miserable looking staff this makes those pub look so uninviting. Prices here are very keen, we have found they are cheeper (in our opinion) than most of the Pubs in the surrounding area, although this is not what keeps bringing us back. Great little garden area out the back with kids play area the last time we visited we took the Dog and sat in the garden area and had a lunch. Looking forward to many more visits.

Walked up from the canal. We had visited this place twice 10 years before under the same owners and we were really impressed. Not this time. Un-interested welcome. Stopped for a drink then decided not to eat and left. Not worth finding this place from the canal.

Brilliant from start to finish. We hadn't booked but the landlord fitted us in without question and from then on it was first class. Value for money it is unbeatable. Four main meals, seven drinks and two puddings for £72! Quality is fantastic too. Home made items such as coleslaw, warm baguettes and all freshly cooked to order. Highly recommend visiting and having a superb meal. We'll definitely be going back.

We visited for Sunday lunch! Excellent home cooked food! Fresh veg, all the trimmings and it was absolutely delicious! 3 meats to chose from too! Real roast potatoes, finally somewhere who goes the whole hog with REAL home cooked food! Excellent price too at £9.95 for Sunday lunch or £12.95 with a starter! We highly recommend and will be returning very soon

Nice clean toilets, staff were pleasant and attentive. Good value home cooked pub food, they have deals on also for different days. Kid friendly with high chairs and kids menu. If up this way will come agian.

Had a Birthday lunch with ten friends. Meals were pre booked. As soon as we had all sat down the waitress told us we would all be served soon. Ten minutes later we were. Food was very tasty pub food. Staff were so helpful with all our requests and everyone enjoyed themselves. Will definitely go back to a place where you are treated so well.
