What an excellent place for breakfast. Having recently moved into the area I came here to try this with my daughter. I had the veggie breakfast and my daughter had the breakfast stack bagel. Both were extremely well presented and utterly delicious. The staff were all friendly and welcoming and the outside seating was fabulous with the sun shining even in mid September. So happy to have found our new breakfast out spot. We will be regulars.

What a lovely place to go for a bite to eat, slice of cake or just a cuppa. The staff were exceptional, wonderful welcome, all smiles. Good menu and very reasonably priced. What we ordered was lovely. Fabulous place well worth a visit x

First time at the The Works Cafe for breakfast. The service was excellent especially from Chloe and Donna. The breakfast was amazing. Will definitely be going back!

Just had a delightful afternoon with friends at Trios, Pontnewydd, for afternoon tea. The welcome was warm, the service was first class. We were reminded of having tea with our grandmothers because there was bone china and starched tablecloths. The finger sandwiches were very tasty, the warm scones melted in our mouths and the cakes were delicious. We drank copious cups of tea and coffee and didn’t stop talking and laughing. We will have to return to there for a spot of spoiling !

After a very pleasant hill walking day in the Grindon area with a group of mates, The Black Lion Inn was the perfect ending. This pub is a rare species. It is simply , a welcoming traditional country pub with a soul! Fab ambience, stonework,hospitable staff, excellent food at a very reasonable price and looked after, local craft ales. Close to a perfect 10. Just my opinion.

This is the second time I have ordered a cake from Sweet Passion Cakes and I've been blown away again. This time I ordered a bespoke baptism cake (Belgian chocolate). Ordering is so easy, I sent across some design and colour palette ideas and the rest I left in their creative hands. WOW! Absolutely stunning cake, delicious and the perfect centre piece. Wir haben hier sowohl auf der Hinfahrt als auch auf der Rückfahrt zu Fähre auf/von den Orkneys einen kurzen Zwischenstopp und einen kleinen Imbiss eingenommen. Kaffee und Tee sind gut, ebenso die herzhaften und süßen Kleinigkeiten auf der Karte. Besonders lecker fand ich die schottische Fischsuppe (Cullen Skink), die ich auf der Rückfahrt gegessen habe. Eine sehr freundliche Bedienung muss ebenfalls hervorgehoben werden.

I was the DJ at my Grandson's Junior Football Team's end of season presentation last night. All I can say is that Berni was nothing but helpful in allowing me access to her venue to set up my gear in advance of the event. The food provided by Berni last night was top notch and everyone had a great time. Great venue and I would book an event here. 👍

Myself and family are regularly in the coast cafe having a range of things either drinks, sweet treats or food and every time its lovely an I would definitely recommend to anyone. The entertainment that they put on is equally brilliant.

Nice little place with good vegan doughnut and hot chocolate options. 4 types of vegan doughnuts. Friendly, fast service.
