Walked around the harbour towards the town, we found this appealing cafe. We're from Wales so thought it would be nice to say hello (cwtch is Welsh for cuddle or hug). The Welsh owners were very welcoming (and speak perfect English for any of those who think this is just for Welsh people). We had a cream tea (and coffee) and spent a while in the company of these lovely, warm, welcoming people. It felt more like having a cuppa and catch up with friends. The walk up to the cafe is a little steep for anyone less able, but not too difficult, and it's definitely worth a visit to the cafe tea room. Had we planned on staying in Brixham longer I think we'd have popped in most days. They also have a "pay forward" scheme, whereby you can pay for an extra cup or food for someone who may need a little "cwtch" later in the day.

We went for afternoon tea with 2 young children and 2 very well behaved Rhodesian Ridgebacks. The couple who run Crafty Cwtch were amazing. They looked after us so well and the food was amazing. We had to have 'doggy boxes' to take away cakes that we didn't eat. They even gave the dogs 'chicken' treats. Thanks you so much for a yummy, scrummy afternoon tea. We will definitely be back next time we're in Brixham. BB

We’re Brixham residents and have taken a little break off work so decided to be local grockles for the day! We visited this lovely shop after looking up the best afternoon tea in the town. We are soooo happy to have found this little gem! We were greeted with a friendly smile and lovely conversation and walked away with the most scrumptious scones, cream & jam (for such a reasonable price too!) We took the treat box up to Berry Head to enjoy in the sunshine and it was absolutely perfect. Will 100% be back to try the other delightful cakes on the menu!

My family and I visited this cute little cafe/tea shop near to closing time. They very kindly invited us in and generously served us the most amazing home made Cream tea. The scones were so fresh. Rustic but light as air. The jam and cream were delicious. The owner Janet was so accommodating and friendly. She welcomed our little dog and even gave her ham as a special treat. The shop had lots of great gifts for sale and some beautiful art, which we purchased. We met some lovely other people and had some great chats. Such a warm and cosy place are all the nicer by the friendly owners. We went back another day and had just as wonderful an experience. We highly recommend Crafty Cwtch if you're in Brixham. Well done Janet.

Went to Weavers Cottage today with my family to have a late celebration for my birthday. I had a high tea which was lovely and my family had other various items off the menu. All the food was lovely and beautifully served. The gentleman who was serving was very helpful and efficient and it was service with a smile. We are local to Torquay but it was our first time visiting Weavers cottage but it won’t be our last. Lovely outdoor setting that is covered with heaters and we even had a visit from a little robin on the back of one of our chairs. Lovely little lunch stop.
