Best chicken, I liked the way how they served!! Recommended

Thank you. Came early with two young children and we we're very well looked after. Food was delicious and they have local beers too.

This restaurant was recommended to us by a family member. We decided to celebrate with their Valentine’s Dinner. Wow! What a very pleasant surprise. The food was excellent and well presented. The service was also exceptional, friendly, helpful and attentive without being over bearing. I wish we’d found this hidden gem earlier. Can certainly recommend this restaurant to all our family and friends. Thank you Barton Pines for a lovely (and very filling) night out.

Me and my husband would like to express the great quiet atmosphere here at this restaurant: Steve, Arlia, Joe, Tina and chef make you feel reall invited and nothing is an issue when confronted with requests! Proudly fresh local produce you’ll never get best value for money when it comes to eaters such as us! Steve made soda bread ( he confesses us!), Arlia went the last xtra mile we always been well looking after. We deffo recommend this place, thanks for your excellent service!!

Visited the restaurant as part of a stay at the resort, used the restaurant as it was getting late and didn't want to go hunting and the food was excellent and the staff really friendly (a chap called Steve and young lady whose name I've forgotten). It was so good that we went back a second time. The food was cooked well and tasty both times. Decor was nice too, deffo an unexpectedly good find and would use again.

10/10 customer service. 10/10 for Food. Food was incredible, some of the best food We’ve eaten for a long time. So good had booked for the next day as well!

We were here for a weeks stay and partook in a few drinks in the very cosy bar area on several occasions. The friendliness of the bar staff from the first visit was excellent. We booked a table of our choice for the Saturday evening. So glad we did, as after our arrival the restaurant filled quickly. Steve the bar/restaurant manager was a fabulous and knowledgeable personality which carried over into his staff. The food was absolutely superb in our opinion, from quality to portion size to timings between courses and presentation. This is certainly a place I would recommend to anyone that visits in the area. Thank you once again Steve and Co for your hospitality, it has been much appreciated!

Came for dinner 🍽 and pleasantly surprised. The staff were welcoming and attentive even though it was busy. Varied menu and the food was lovely and beautifully presented. Warm and cosy atmosphere with incredible views. Felt like good value. We will be back ☺️

I loved the fact that we were able to take our dog into the restaurant with us. An area is dedicated for this purpose. The food was beautifully presented and very tasty.

What can I say other than mmmmmmmmmm. Me and my partner were on a 4 night mini break at the beginning of January and chose to eat in the restaurant one night, we were not disappointed ! We'd made a reservation as advised but the restaurant was fairly quiet so we would likely have got a table anyway but we didn't want to risk it. We both had the mixed duck and chicken spring roll for starter then for the mains I had the tikka kebab and my partner had the steak with pepper sauce. All if the food was very tasty and well cooked but the pepper sauce was the best I've ever tasted ! We didn't have a desert as we were stuffed but we did have some drinks- my partner had a Rum and a Brandy and I had 3 Gins including one of the homemade raspberry flavour. In total it cost a little under £100 which we were happy to pay. The only slight niggle is that a service charge of over £8 was already added to the bill whereas I prefer to tip my own donation amount. We will definitely be eating here again when we return for another break.

The first day we arrived we checked in after 5 and about 7 we went over to the restaurant and although we hadn’t booked they invited us in. The menu is concise and a specials menu. We had a chicken dish with saddleback potatoes and a red wine jus. Our daughter had a crab risotto. Our meals were delicious we then had a cheesecake white chocolate raspberry and coconut which was sublime. The waiting staff were friendly and helpful and so was the manager Steve. The price was very reasonable so we went back the following night and I had the best medium rare rib eye steak I have ever had. My husband had belly pork with pickled fennel and when it arrived it looked stunning and my husband said it was amazing. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

Just yesterday I discovered it was my friends birthday on Sunday and he is staying in one of the lodges onsite. I didn't have time to arrange a gift before he left, so I called the hotel to see if they could help. The lovely restaurant manager 'Stephen Ward' called me back, he was very warm, friendly and extremely helpful, he even knew what my friends usual preferred wine was plus soda too because my friend had been staying so many years. Stephen kindly delivered the wine and soda personally with a message from me to his lodge. Absolutely outstanding service and a nice personal touch. We had been a little skeptical about eating in a resort restaurant but took a punt based on previous reviews. To say we shouldn’t have been is an understatement. The service was absolutely spot on and the food was superb. All our skepticism was blown out of the water. Open to non-residents so if your in the area give it a go.

Pre booked for first night of staying here, Staff were lovely, efficient , very friendly and polite. We both had a pizza and wow what a surprise , amazing pizzas and the chips were beautifully cooked . If staying here or just passing would highly recommend as all staff ( including reception and management ) were pleasant and friendly and very welcoming . Great pizzas chef !!!

We ate here every night with the exception of Wednesday when it was closed. The menu has a wide choice but doesn’t change during the week. They offer specials which seems to change every 2/3 days. Very clean and nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Big shout out particularly to Steve who was very welcoming and went the extra mile to ensure our meals were spot on. He also makes fantastic Blueberry 🫐 Gin and would highly recommend to the Gin lovers out there, especially with Elderflower tonic. Portion sizes were spot on snd food arrived quickly and was hot. Reasonable priced and handy to walk to so all adults can drink safely !

The menu and decor has changed since before the CV-19 closure and I have learnt the restaurant has changed hands. That said we thoroughly enjoyed our meal & evening in general. Lovely setting and views, facilities are clean and the staff are excellent. The waiter Steve has a fantastic personality & makes you really feel at home, I would recommend.

Steven our waiter was attentive and relaxed, he knew when to chat and when to leave us be... it was a spa day with my daughter to things can get deep when we start catching up.He made three wonderful cocktails that were out of this world. My daughter whose a bit off a foodie absolutely loved the ginger bread martini as well as the passion fruit one. I loved my Long Island iced tea.The food was scrumptious , simple and tasty with that prepared in house vibe. This is the third time we have come for the spa experience and have not been disappointed. Thank you Steve for being a wonderful host.

We have been here at Beyond Escapes for the weekend and had planned on eating in the restaurant on site so we didn’t have to cook or go far.. Plus was that they are dog friendly and we have a little dog.. Greeted by Steve first night who made us so welcome.. All staff super attentive and couldn’t do enough for us. Tried a lush blueberry gin which was yum. Steve made a proper fuss of our dog which is a great touch.. We booked in for the Sunday Carvery but my partner took a bad back so we were not able to get over to restaurant. Went to cancel but Steve said it was no bother to get a takeaway carvery - nothing too much trouble. Ryan is the new chef here and the food is delicious. Proper lovely Sunday lunch and Steve even carried it back to our lodge for us.. Super service and we will def be back. Thanks all!

Sunday carvery not upto the standard I was expecting for this kind of establishment. Beef was like eating leather...roast potatoes were yesterday's...warmed up!...carrots hard...parsnips cooked to destruction with no taste..The meal was cold...Other guests were also complaining of cold food and nothing rectified by staff...chef was informed and should of dealt with issues personally.

Absolutely awful carvery...gammon and beef tough...carrots hard...roast potatoes are preheated..everything tasteless and cold...Complained only when asked if everything ok by Joe who informed the chef...albeit nothing rectified...very dissappointed...being a chef myself who caters upto 200 guests...i find this completely frustrating the chef cannot achieve even an acceptable standard for the 9 tables in this small restaurant...shameful!

The girls and I decided to eat our dinner in the restaurant on our first night, absolute loved our service provided by Steve, very accommodating and provided great banter. Food was lovely especially the creme brûlée. Sad we won’t be served by Steve for our carvey on Sunday:(

Me and the girls have arrived yesterday and didn't want to go far to eat so we went to Be tempted restaurant. I'm so glad we did. The food was amazing and Steves service was 5 star.We had an amazing night and Steve was like one of the girls.

Had a really lovely meal here tonight! The staff were very attentive and the food was delicious. Special mention to the nice Irish chap, he’s a huge asset to your team and went beyond and above to make us feel relaxed and welcome.

Looking for a good Sunday Lunch, where we could also take the dog we stumbled across this place. Lovely lunch and plentiful. Even gave our pooch some chicken. Would reccoment booking in advance.

We visited the Restaurant and Bar on our first night while holidaying at the Beyond Escapes (Barton Pines) using discount offer to visit the Restaurant and made use of Gin Flight, 20 GBP for 5 Gins incl. Tonic in the Bar. It's quite cozy but well stocked and knowledge bar staff, giving great advice on the gin - tonic pairing. We also were persuaded to have a Martini Espresso to wake us up after a 4 hour drive! Food was nice, not to fault and normal priced. We went to the bar on all our following nights, mainly make use of the Gin offer ;o)

Amazing place! The staff are so friendly and made the whole experience a pleasure, nothing was any trouble at all! Food was lovely and good value. Faultless experience would highly recommend.... also have a fab gin selection.

Me and my partner live within a 15 minute drive of BE and had come for a spa day which was amazing but we hadn’t realised there was a restaurant as well. So I booked to come for a Sunday carvery with my family (6 in total), the service was amazing, so attentive and polite but with a great sense of humour. The food was out of this world, the gammon, parsnips, carrots and Yorkshire’s were amazing, they also brought a bowl of extra veg and Yorkshire’s over to our table. Thankfully we had room left for pudding which half had a chocolate pave and the others berry pavlova, both were amazing and finished the meal off perfectly. The surrounding views were outstanding and cannot wait to come back again.

This was our 1st visit and will definitely be returning. We were so impressed from the moment we drove up the drive. Everyone working there was so welcoming and smiling. The place is immaculate and beautifully decorated. We had a great window seat so we could enjoy the fabulous view. I had the Roast Beef dinner which is my favourite meal and it did not disappoint, the beef was delicious with a great selection of roast potatoes, parsnips and vegetables including cauliflower cheese, and the yorkshire pud was the best. My husband had the Roast gammon ham and he was equally impressed. It was just a shame we had no room left for a dessert especially as its only an extra £3. Steve and Joe were so friendly and gave me a tour of the spa which is very smart. We look forward to our next visit

Visited this please with friends for the first time and i have to say food was good and tasty only concern was it wasn't very hot but it didn't spoil the meal or the atmosphere, the waiter i forgot his name was very curtious even tempted me to try the homemade raspberry gin and I must say it was very nice, the restaurant was very clean and tastefully decorated would definitely recommend this place

On a weeks stay we used the restaurant twice for drinks and twice for dinner then drinks. The food was excellent both times and all of the staff were extremely nice and helpful with good prices on drinks. Bar area was lovely and cosy of an evening. Excellent views from the restaurant too! Some may find the menu small but there was a good variety for us. Made the stay even better!

We have had 2 Sunday lunches here. Less hustle and bustle but everything was cooked perfectly. The Yorkshires were obviously cooked on the premises and were very nice. We will be definitely be back. A very countrified setting but just a few minutes from civilisation

Visited the restaurant as part of a day at the spa. Spoke to Steve on the phone and he was so helpful and accommodating, taking into consideration dietary requirements. This meant that we enjoyed a delicious food for cream tea/ afternoon tea even though my friend cannot eat dairy. Beautiful food, beautiful decor and lovely people. Would recommend

I have just had the most stunning meal the staff are exceptional and are so warm and welcoming but I have to give a special mention to Joe he is a class act who has made our stay special he has time for everyone and his knowledge of alcoholic concoctions is second to none .I also need to mention the ladies who gave me and my partner a salt scrub massage which was absolutely lovely and there advice on skin and relaxation was great.

We recently stayed here for the night for my 30th birthday and decided to eat in the restaurant for evening meal the food was excellent as was the drinks options on the bar the staff are very good at there job and look after you to a high standard there was a server called joe who looked after us and done a fantastic job and nothing was to much trouble would highly recommend and the chocolate brownie was the best I’ve ever eaten

The staff are so lovely, quickly served and so friendly. Good selection and drinks especially gin. We had the afternoon tea which was delicious. We really recommend it.

My friend and I had a couple of meals in the restaurant when we stayed at Beyond escapes..the food was lovely..we were really well looked after by Steve , the charming Irish man, and nothing was too much trouble.The afternoon tea is good value as well as we had one during the summer when my friend and I visited.

We had a lovely lunch at Be Tempted. We were a group of 6 adults 4 children and a small dog. We were all welcomed to the restaurant given an extensive drinks menu, I can definitely recommend the Prosecco cocktails, yum . We all but one had the carvery which was tasty, the meat was moist , nice selection of veggies I especially liked the cheesie leeks and the spiced red cabbage. The children were accommodated , nothing was a problem . Well I wasn’t going to have desert till I heard Rob the chef homemade ice cream was on the menu , I had lemon cello and chocolate orange they were lush !! Thank you everyone it was a lovely lunch in lovely surroundings. I will be back . X

We met at Be Tempted because everything is lovely about the place. Good ambience, comfortable seating, good coffee and tea (and biscuits!!) and most of all the most attentive Steve, who looked after us extremely well. Hope you can keep it up Steve even when it's busy. Hoping to come for Sunday lunch soon.

As said above I loved the Salt and peppered calamari squid and the Ribeye Steak, but sorry to say my son was disappointed with his Ribeye. The Wife and Daughter in-law found the Chicken Cordon Bleu very dry, also thought a sauce might have helped. The staff were very welcoming (Athena) and helpful with good service. I enjoyed the restaurant space very modern and professional.

We won a 3 course Sunday meal on a raffle. The staff, especially Steven were very attentive and brilliant, they made us feel very welcome. The service was of a high quality and the food itself was just extremely yummy. Will defo go back and perhaps stay next time and enjoy the spa facilities. Well done

Breakfast one of the best. Staff amazing. October had lots of offers like 2 English breakfast foe £12. A bottle of wine with 2 al a carte meals. Atmosphere relaxing.

Had a fantastic evening for one of the spa events. This one was an Elemis event and i was able to have a free mini massage which was incredible! We had a prosecco cocktail on arrival and some canapes to nibble on. We also saw a preview of all the chrsitmas gift sets!

The food was great and so was the service, the atmosphere was very relaxed nothing was rushed. The bread brought to us just after we sat down was absolutely gorgeous.

Well worth a visit to this lovely restaurant. Good value, such a shame it was just 6 of us and another couple. Attentive staff, thanks Joe. Would use regularly if we didn't live 3 hours away. Nice cocktails and a good gin deal! Also a good wine deal for September, free bottle of house wine for 2 adults taking 2 courses. Altogether great.

The BE team need to do more to promote their food and drink platform. My husband enjoyed some lovely home-brewed gin (raspberry, blueberry) combined with some excellent tonic pairing, as offered by our lovely Richard (lovely chap from Derry). The BE team offer a £20 BE Gin card, which entitles you to 5 generous servings of gin and a lovely olive starter. In terms of food - we were really blown away with the freshness and presentation of the fare. I was a little disappointed in the pizza but to be honest, you don't go to Devon to sample the pizza :). The panko fish was out of this world, the steak was so fresh and the vegetables were so sweet (not a Birds Eye in sight). Our lovely team of Richard and Amy looked after us so well and to be honest, we couldn't enjoy any pudding as we were stuffed to the brim; American size portions. I highly encourage the BE team in Paignton to find a way to promote the gorgeous menu! Little did we know we had such a fabulous restaurant at our feet.

The service is amazing and they are so accommodating if you want to make a starter into a main course. The food was delicious together with a wide selection of wine. I would suggest that the menu could be extended as the choice was a little limited especially if one was to eat there regularly otherwise it couldn’t be faulted.

This restaurant is attached to the Beyond escapes holiday complex,it is well worth the short drive from Paignton.Views to Berry head,lovely food and amazing staff,we were made to feel very welcome and a special mention must go to Joe for his excellent customer service skills.

This restaurant is brand new, along with the whole site. We were staying in one of the villas for a weekend, and decided to have a meal at this restaurant.

We came for a family evening meal whilst we were staying here. Food was tasty and well cooked,service was impeccable. Attentive, friendly and great with the kids! Restaurant itself is lovely.Would recommend!!

Myself and my wife are currently at beyond escapes in Devon. We normally do UK holidays as we don’t like to leave our four legged friend behind. When I booked the holiday online for beyond escapes Devon I could not believe how gorgeous it was for the price compared to it’s competitors which the sinick in me made me check it was legit and half expected it not to live up to the images we had seen prior to visit.

Came for a roast and was amazing best roast I have ever eaten. Thank you Aiden and mike for cooking an amazing dinner will definitely return

This was our second visit and we really enjoyed it!! Last time we had lunch, this time it was an evening meal with our son and daughter-in-law. The welcome is second to none, as was the service throughout, with special thanks to Sandy who couldn't do enough for us, despite the restaurant being extremely busy. Attentive friendly staff and wonderful food created a great atmosphere.

Great place to visit. Had a day here at the Spa with my daughter - my Mother's Day pressie - and had a wonderful day.

We had a delicious birthday celebratory dinner. The setting was beautiful and the staff very pleasant and cheerful. We all enjoyed our meals - thank you to Aiden for cooking such tasty dishes. What a fantastic place. Finer details still being addressed but beautifully decorated, welcoming friendly staff, superb spa treatment (best facial I’ve ever had) and brilliant afternoon tea. I’ve booked again as we enjoyed it so much. Just hope it doesn’t get too busy when word gets out!

My wife and I got a deal through Wowcher. Sometimes their deals are good, sometimes not. This one was very good. The restaurant has only been open to the public since January but, though quite small, it is well worth a visit (especially with a Wowcher).

After looking forward all day to what I thought was going to be a delicious meal I was sadly let down with uncooked pasta that was all stuck together.

Brought my mum for Sunday lunch and was really impressed - absolutely lovely food and service. Really lovely roast dinner and very moreish sticky toffee pudding which was really elegantly plated. The restaurant itself is also really chic too - can't wait to come back!

Visited here while we were staying at a cabin. 6 of us ate and all of us enjoyed the food.
