Great new owners, NOTE telephone number on trip advisor is for the old owner so please don’t call it.. Shop is based conveniently in the car park with easy access. Serving hot and cold snacks drinks and must have beach essentials. Enjoy a stroll down to the town or a stroll to the beach, great location for exploring the local area.

Wow! This little place has it all: Ice creams by the scoop, proper coffee machine, selection of sandwiches and pasties, cold drinks etc. They also stock all of those beach essentials that you left at home.

This is a little cafe/shop located in the car park. We stopped here to get a quick cup of tea whilst the car was charging up. Staff were pleasant enough and we got our takeaway tea and sat outside.

I went there to sort out a complex business transaction about switches and a money making scheme based on belly crème. Despite the serious circumstances to which I found myself there, I couldn’t help but relax. I have to say I pleasantly surprised to see such hospitality from one staff member whom I shall call Mellie. In fact, I believe it was the incredible catering skills she provided and mastery of king fu that allowed me to resurrect my lord Zymbledonk and ascend to the 8th plane. So if ever you need to hang out or just want to end reality this is the place to go

Scammers. The young girl tried to tell me that my card had been declined when my phone had told me it had gone through. I was using Apple Pay and if the transaction failed, it would of told me, but my phone said it has gone though and when I told and showed her my phone, she said “oh well this [machjne] says it failed but whatever go away”. Also charging £1.20 for a bottle of water and £2 for a bottle of coke you could get for £1 in Lidl

The most accommodating and friendly owner. Wonderful bacon rolls and the coffee and hot chocolate were lovely too. Met up for a birthday and so pleased we stopped here. Took home some delicious homemade jam and Dorset apple cake. My nephew was very impressed with the cafes environmental credentials(especially the take away cups) so pleased we popped in. An absolute gem of a place. Thank you so much for accommodating us.

We stopped in for some lunch (6 adults and a baby) and the owners were so accommodating and friendly. The food and coffees were delicious and the cakes also looked great. It's also wonderful to see a café with so many environmental initiatives (compostable takeaway coffee cups and discounts for returning plastic bottles). All in all, a perfect place for a spot of lunch.

We stumbled across this little gem just as we were starting to get hungry for some lunch. While it may not look stunning from the outside, it's well worth stepping inside for the delightful welcome that awaits you. The owner was so friendly, and offered us lots of alternatives that weren't on the menu. We had a lot of banter with the owner and the younger lad working there. The food was delicious. We had jacket potatoes with various filings. The potatoes were super tasty. The side salad was also lovely. We went back later in the afternoon for a scone with clotted cream and jam to takeaway and it too was delicious. It was a real gem and we wouldn't hesitate to go back again if we were in the area.

My family stopped here for cream teas , sitting outside in the sun looking out over the beautiful coastline. The owner was very welcoming and attentive, the home made scones were buttery and perfect, and it was no problem for extra milk and water. To top this they have a fantastic jukebox which you can select records to play at no cost whilst you eat and drink. It makes such a difference if the owner makes that little extra effort .

We have visited Lyme Regis many times and sometimes just for the day (as we love it so much). On Sunday we decided to have a drive to Lyme Regis as it was a glorious sunny autumn day. We stopped at Holmbush Cafe for some brunch, namely poached free range eggs on toast with a side order of bacon together with a pot of peppermint tea and coffee. The food was great and, in particular, the poached eggs were delicious (best I have ever had). We were so glad we chose this cafe. We sat outside enjoying the view of the newly refurbished Belmont. The owners were so friendly and happy and chatted to us about their visit to Belmont (which is right up my street!) - in fact they even let us read a book they acquired about Landmark Trust. I must say we were very impressed with everything about Holmbush. Clearly the owners are passionate about fresh produce and home cooking. We decided to share a chocolate brownie which had been warmed in the oven - it was to die for!. A lot of places could learn from this cafe. We cannot wait to visit again. In fact we noticed on the specials board for lunch a fantastic sounding pie....so we took home some of the homemade 'spinach and feta filo pie' for dinner (wow it melted in your mouth - the owner certainly knows how to make pastry). We will be returning very soon....X

A tiny building in a car park might not be the romantic choice but go here for good grub.I mean good quality , freshly made food with an honest sincere service to go with it.My opinion is based on a purchase of a bacon and a sausage sandwich and a cup of tea, all up to the best standards. My wife really endorsed the cleanliness of everything to.This was the best meal we have enjoyed in Lyme for a long long time.

Quintessential service with a smile from the couple whop took over this car park cafe a few years ago and provide a a very homely feast of home style snacks and drinks...inside or outside. They would do more than justice to a local restaurant and I wish them a big thank you for making our simple lunch break a very happy one.Such a shame that nearby Seaton seems top have fallen through the floor. What on earth has happened. It was the East Devon bolt hole, Today you have a job to find many shops open on a Saturday afternoon. Whoever is responsible for this failure to keep Seaton up to date as a great resort should retire now.

Visited 28th June. We parked at the top car park having shunned the overpriced park and ride.Spotted the Holmbush cafe and noticed the quality of the food and the reasonable prices. We walked down the hill to the Cobb and along the seafront. On the way we checked out other cafés and food outlets and they were more expensive. So, on return to the car park we sat down to a delicious baguette and crab sandwiches, all for under £10. The premises are spotless and the service friendly. Additionally the salad that came with the food was crisp and fresh. No hesitation in recommending this car park cafe.

We've just returned from a holiday in Lyme Regis. We had a hungry toddler to feed so we tried this cafe as it was so close to our holiday apartment. So glad we did. Such lovely service with amazing homemade cakes, jams and chutneys. Real attention to the little details and we (our 18 month old included) were made to feel so welcome. The English Breakfast was perfectly cooked with good ingredients and the raspberry and white chocolate cake was the best cake I have had in ages.

I am so glad that there is an opportunity to rate this cafe. We had to park in the top car park at Lyme Regis last weekend, and walk back up to it in the (most welcome) blazing sunshine. There we found this cafe with a sign saying "Well done you've made it! Now come in for a drink" (or similar). So we did. We started off by buying a couple of bottles of water but then bought a scone with jam and cream (to explain a cream tea to our Aussie friend) and then a brownie (to take home to my wife). All the cakes looked lovely but we had eaten a large lunch only a couple of hours earlier. Now that I know about this cafe, I think that (on the rare occasions I visit Lyme Regis) I will park in this car park just to visit the cafe again.

Having lived in Lyme Regis for nearly 11 years now, we wish we'd tried the Holmbush Café - situated in Holmbush Car Park - much sooner! Today we enjoyed a very well-cooked meal with my gluten free requirements well catered for. Egg, bacon, beans, mushrooms, gluten-free toast, home made EXCELLENT blackcurrant jam all washed down with a decent pot of tea. Now the season is drawing to a close check out opening times. Friday and weekends are best and youwill be well rewarded with a nice welcome and good food.

Unbelievably brilliant to have a sunny cafe in a car park! People can get coffee before or after work, etc. We were there for two weeks staying nearby and we ate here three times. The owners make you feel you have been adopted by them, so cheery and pleasant. The food was wonderful - soups, sandwiches, cappuccinos, etc. We look forward to our next visit to Lyme Regis (we live in Florida) so that we can eat here. PLUS the owners have a great sense of humor and have a blackboard outside announcing all kinds of funny things, even lost and found item notices. We passed by there every day to read the latest notice. And who can resist when they write that the scones just came out of the oven!

I attended a workshop in Beaminster and at lunch time and although we were given many options for food outlets, me and 2 other participants decided on the Trading Post and I am so pleased we did. All 3 of us had soup and it possibly was the most delicious soup I have ever had the pleasure to taste. I would go back to Beaminster just to go to this cafe. It was an absolute joy from start to finish, the service, the food and the venue were all delightful. Thank you Trading post I will be back x

We have visited the Abbey House a few years ago and drive especially with a detour to revisit. Since my wife uses a wheelchair I asked to be seated on the lawns just a few steps from the terrace to make an accessible place available (we had been seated there during our prvfious visit). The waiter answered: we only put tables there duiding a wedding. So no other option for us then just leave the place since which is NOT accesible for a wheelchair. We were very disappionted and felt unwelcomed.
