Loved this bar, and service was excellent! It's n a great location, right next to The Doubletree. Daryna was so helpful! I was not very familiar with the wine choices, and she helped me choose the one closest to my taste. It was delicious. Thanks so much, Daryna! We will definitely come back again! 💖

This is our go to beach for family get togethers. Plenty of parking, loos, stunning beach and the brilliant venus cafe! Great coffee and milkshakes. A bee line is always made for the delicious pastys and the fish and chips are great quality and very tasty. There is plenty of choice for veggies and vegans as well as meat eaters. Everything is locally sourced and ethically produced., which makes it taste even better 😋. The staff are always so friendly and helpful even when they are run off their feet busy. This is a great place.

The service from staff was good. They should do fresh juices will increase business. The toilets should be checked regularly. The food was nothing special in quality. Decor was ok

We returned to The Grand last night after an extended lockdown for us, and from the minute we entered the lounge it was sheer bliss. The calm, sumptuous seating, overlooking the sea is just so wonderful for the soul. Fab service. Drank our aperitifs and just relaxed. We then decided to have a meal in the restaurant, again a beautiful room, a warm welcome from the staff, and another beautiful sea view. Food was delicious, every morsel, scallops beautifully cooked. Portion size perfect. Wine list very well chosen and the red we had was excellent. Such a blissful night.

He estado aquí muchas veces y en realidad, esta fue una de mis visitas favoritas. Creo que elegí bien para el desayuno y la comida se entregó rápidamente y era sabroso. La elección de mi huésped parecía decente también. El servicio era eficiente y sin duda reservar con antelación, ya que el lugar estaba muy ocupado. Era miércoles, así que supongo que la mayoría de la gente en la ciudad en lugar de wfh. Volveré otra vez.

I was treating a friend to an overnight stay near Chester with the first day being spent on a shopping spree in the city, something that was long overdue thanks to the covid lockdown. I tried to find somewhere a little different for us to eat that lunchtime as the restaurant we would normally use had sadly closed permanently. We found this a rather unusual place and opted for the tapas style small plates. With hindsight, we should have ordered less than we did as the portions were larger than expected. The decor was a little odd and not particularly to my taste. The service was fairly attentive without being over the top and as far as we could tell, all covid guidelines were followed.

Food very good but expensive,£ 8 for a sandwich.Waited a long time for the order to arrive.The ladies serving were efficient. However,it's not nice to see the staff eating chips and drinking behind the counter.I work in the food service industry,we have to have our drinks out of sight,in the kitchen area,which is as it should be.

Stunning location on South beach. Best bacon rolls around. Great coffee, lovely staff. Then at the end of the day a cup of tea watching the oyster catchers. A very special place

Staff and food was the problem. The waitress got the order totally wrong and what she actually brought was a disgusting cremated bun with unrecognisable substance with what looked like a tomato paste. This was supposed to be a bacon roll. I’m not a fussy eater I can assure you but this was the absolute pits. Very poor experience. Beware.

We took some friends here for afternoon tea as a birthday treat. Overall it was an excellent choice. The setting overlooking the grounds was very nice. A good selection of fresh sandwiches followed by tasty scones with plenty of cream and jam. Finished off with a fine selection of cakes. Additional tea was given when required to add to the fizz. We were served by a pleasant young lady. Definitely worth a visit

Loved everything. The food was lovely, the staff were very friendly and we found it very welcoming. I am meeting friends for dinner today!!

Lovely place to come for food, service is quick and the food was piping hot and very tasty. Definitely recommend a visit.

Landlord/bar staff super friendly

We arrived with a dog and no access through front rotating door, limited or no colleague interaction to support entry. Room small very basic with a radiator that couldn’t be turned off but was burning hot all night…. Try wearing a fur coat in a tight space with a radiator that’s uncontrolled. Room facilities poor limited loo roll and shower gel. Breakfast was horrendous arrived at 9am only 2 staff every table was dirty breakfast was just the left overs with all utensils dirty and covered in grease / bean juice. Worst hotel ever would not recommend
