Very disappointed with our recent experience… We ordered a ‘large’ fish and chips which we only found out they don’t do a large when we got home. The portion size was ridiculous. Not only this, everything was soggy by the time we got home and we live about a 2 minute drive away. We went back to ask for our large portion and we were told that they don’t do a large, only small or regular! Not sure why we were told at the time of ordering? £14 for regular fish and chips and spring rolls… Very very disappointing.

What a great pub. It reminds me what a pub should be. I was in town for business and called in for a pint on the way back to my hotel I took a call as I walked through the door and had to tell a family member I’d only got 1% on my battery Before I’d even got to the bar Michelle behind the bar had overheard me and had a phone charger ready and waiting Service above and beyond Exceptional While sat at the bar, phone charging nicely, it became clear this is a great local Full of charming eccentric characters A pleasure to sit and listen The banter is something that if you could bottle would be top of your shopping list of must haves if you want a proper pub!!! Michelle is a proper publican A credit to the Coracle I’ll be back

The tea rooms has 3 distinct areas to sit, no bookings taken so in high season or busy times a queue might be there. There are some chairs in the queue area for those who need it. There's overflow parking too. We chose to sit in the marquee area as it was quieter than in the main restaurant. There's outdoor seating too. We ordered the afternoon tea at £50 for 2 people - average price for the area. It was gorgeous. We weren't offered any range of teas however so these may not be on offer? You could have your teapot refreshed as often as needed. You get a choice of 2 sandwiches from a list of about 10 different choices, we had coronation chicken and salmon and cream cheese. Then the scones with jam and clotted cream were gorgeous. Mini choc brownie, walnut cake, cherry bakewell and macaron topped you up and we couldn't possibly eat anything else.

Lovely setting and pleasant staff. Priced reasonable. We chose a double afternoon tea. The sandwich were really delicious and fresh. Lots of filling. The scone was hard, but I asked to change and got a delicious warm soft scone as a replacement. Lots of tea and moist light cake. Sensible afternoon tea, not too much cake.

We'd read some reviews, so we knew they didn't serve food, so we planned to take in a takeaway. Popped in to make sure we could get a seat (4.50 on Friday). Glad we did as we got the last table, and I can see why. The landlord greeted us on arrival and was only too happy for us to bring food in. Asked us what beer i liked and was really accommodating. Pub was small and quirky with good selection of beers. We went with kids, it's not exactly a family pub (they were the only youngsters in there), but everyone was super friendly and I'd certainly go back family or not. Thanks for having us

This traditional hotel restaurant ticked the boxes for an evening meal while staying locally. The menu was varied and we chose the crab pasta and the halloumi burger. It took a long time for our food to arrive but we were warned of this when we placed the order so not a problem. The food was tasty, although the halloumi could have easily been half the size!!!! Prices reasonable and we enjoyed the evening.
