The best restaurants in United Kingdom serving British food

We had booked for an overnight stay which included dinner bed and breakfast. We arrived in glorious sunshine (which obviously was a bonus) but from the moment we stepped into the 3 horseshoes it was faultless. We arrived a little early for check in but decided to have a snack off the menu and some drinks. From going in all the staff were very attentive and cheerful.. After our snack we decided to go into the beer garden as it was such a lovely day. Got some drinks and spent the next couple of hours chilling out - what a lovely area and with the background of the rolling countryside behind us. We then checked into our room - again this was lovely and sparkling clean. Later we went into the dining room for our evening meal - again couldn't fault this. Lovely choices and very good portions and staff were again lovely. Breakfast was great - again lots of choice and served with a smile. We didn't partake of the spa, but that looked very inviting too. We will certainly visit again. Thank you all at the 3 Horseshoes for making our stay so very enjoyable.

Fabulous booza, it's about to be re renovated. i hope it doesn't spoil that original pub atmosphere 🤔

This place is beautiful and has so much potential, but the waiting staff are all over the place, nobody seems to know what they are doing. I stood in the doorway for almost 10 mins waiting to be seated with my 85 year old mother despite the place being empty. 3 members of staff stood looking at their mobile phones behind the bar area and who I assume was the manager just sat down folding napkins. Finally got seated and ordered two orange juices, a prawn sandwich and the crabaroni special which I cannot fault the food was delicious but we had almost finished our food before we even received our orange juices. It’s a real shame that the service in this place has gone so downhill as it was once one of the nicest places to visit but the customer service aspect has disappeared sadly

Con poco personal para hacer frente a la demanda, los servidores eran encantadores, pero de las noches que cené allí cuando me alojé en la posada principal a menudo me dejaron de pie en la entrada esperando para sentarse, en mi mesa esperando para pedir, o con mi cena terminada dejada en mi mesa. Tratar de obtener la cuenta para que pudiera irme fue difícil. Restaurante masivo nunca había visto más de 2 personas trabajando mesas corriendo comida y cuidando del bar. No vi los servidores parar, realmente no es su culpa, pero un restaurante mal administrado.

Although the food is not bad and they have quite a variety on the menu I was very disappointed to have looked foward to potato fritters only to be told "we only do them on Mondays." The menu should clearly say this and it has put me off wanting to return.

HIGHLY recommend this Bed and Breakfast if you are on this side of the island! The rooms were comfy and the staff are the nicest! Has a lovely time in the bar after a long drive and the breakfast in the morning was MASSIVE. 10/10 would stay again 👍

Amazing views and great food! I've been back here a few times, and recommended it to others who have liked it too! The vegetable soup was thick and home made, the steak and ale pie was delicious! The staff are really helpful and can't do enough for you! Stand outside at the front and you get glorious views of the countryside, with sheep just across the road grazing! We didn't bring children but there's a playground out back, and dogs are allowed in too!

It was such a relief to go to an establishment and have such lovely kind staff who welcomed you and made sure you had all your requirements at your table. The food was wonderful and lots of tasty meat and vegetables. All extremely fresh and flavoursome.

Awful! Cheap, 'value' ingredients at maximum prices. I had an omelette with saute potatoes. The omelette had hardly any filling. The cheap processed ham was thin and cut into tiny 1cm squares. Virtually no peas or mushrooms and the sautes were cold and a very mean portion - about 10 small fries. Sauces are 'Stockwell' - Tesco's most basic range. I remember when this place opened and it has been getting worse so now it is just a blatant rip off. Avoid!

Fantastic pub, epic food, the pizzas are amazing and the staff are really warm and friendly :)
