Heaving! Expected to be turned away but we were well looked after. Had 2 specials. Really good and served quickly. We shared some of each other’s food and agreed they were both lovely. Wild boar hotdog with chilli and chips and a moussaka with Mediterranean salad

La qualité tel que les saveurs et la présentation des plats ont été à la hauteur de mes attentes. L’ambiance, le décors et le service aussi.

We decided to try the new menu at the Wheatsheaf for lunch. Plenty of spaces in car park. Friendly welcome and after getting some drinks at the bar we were shown to our table. Lots of choice from burgers to top class mains. We chose the rack of lamb and duck. Both very well presented and cooked with good selection of vegetables on the plates. Followed by a pannacotta. Service was quick and friendly. Recommended.

The stay ended before it even began. The receptionist was incredibly disconnected and acted like they were made to work by force, no helpful gestures or offers of any help. When basic requests like an extra pillow were made it seemed like we were asking for too much from them. I get customers can be tough but it’s not the sort of attitude you expect from any hotel be it 1 or 5 star. To be more specific, the female receptionist became very defensive and then played the victim when asked why their service was so poor. I get rules are rules, but almost crying over a pillow request was just too much, so I had to practically beg for the money back which was done rudely and abruptly by the hotel manager, shoving a card machine in my face and telling me to leave. Absolute joke of an establishment - AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

Popped in here on a day trip to Brixham. A lot of tables needed clearing and two tables were sticky. I had chips which were good, however they didn’t have the chicken bites again as they have a supply issue. My partner had the chicken and bacon panini which was lukewarm and very fatty. Staff were really friendly and polite which made a big difference.

Headed in as a group of 9 as other cafes weren't big enough to accommodate (absolutely fine), and we're seated quickly. Everyone had coffee or tea and a scone. Scones were a good size and delicious. Service from the guy with long hair was fantastic.

Popped in on a Saturday lunchtime whilst walking the coastal path. Pub and garden were empty as it was just past 1pm. Both had haddock and chips , with 1 beer and 1 coke. The service was quick and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was great, and the portions huge. The beer garden was filling up as we left, which was nice to see All very reasonably priced and we will be back again.

Since being taken over 3 years ago, the Killin Hotel has really turned around and is top notch for food. Really nice surroundings, very popular bar and restaurant and even has darts and tent sports in the lounge. We had an excellent meal tonight- starters all very good, but the chicken butter curry was superb and burger was streets ahead of the tired, lazy, more expensive version at the Falls of Dochart last night. If any of the others were open before Thursday, we could rate against them, but with Courie, Pizza, Shutters and chip van Thur- Sun only, Killin Hotel has to be the best all-week food offering in Killin now
