Outstanding Service and Incredible Staff! I recently visited The Plough in Pyecombe and was genuinely blown away by the service. The staff were absolutely fantastic—fast, friendly, and incredibly welcoming from the moment we walked in. Nothing was too much trouble; they really went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and looked after. I’ve already told all my friends they have to visit. It’s rare to come across a team this dedicated and genuinely lovely. The Plough has some of the best hospitality I’ve experienced—full credit to the amazing staff!

Dinner for 2 on Wednesday night was perfect. Friendly, helpful service. Fish pie was really filling and tasty. Great selection of beer and wines. Not to forget the fabulous view. Highly recommended for a night out in a welcoming and comfortable space for dinner for 2, or with friends.

Hit and miss on pastys in my experience, too often the veg is still hard , every other time I visit seems to be the same . However when they do manage to cook them correctly they are amazing !! Update: company was very understanding and have just bought 2 more pastys at company's expense and they were perfect. Ty 16/03/25 Went in for two giant steak and a traditional steak . My boy had the traditional and enjoyed it thoroughly. The giants however were not so good . Half way through both of them , the veg started to get hard/ undercooked . At over £6 each it's ridiculous they can't get this right.

Drinks and staff are great but the food not so much. Come here on a regular basis so decided to stay for dinner tonight. Lasagne was not fit for consumption. A dry lump of mince meat, no pasta, no white sauce, no flavour, covered in a thick slab of melted cheese - boke. Garlic bread almost burnt but somehow also cold. Chips undercooked. Management need to take a better look at the food leaving the kitchen.

The thatched inn has got beamed ceilings throughout with a real fire burning bright and warm. A heaven to be in on a rainy and windy seaside day. We had chicken schnitzel and hake. Both were generously served and superbly cooked. You can choose 2 sides with each main and we were just spoit for choice.

Looked online and booked a table on the premise that there where Sunday roasts served on a Sunday. When we arrived I asked where the table that was booked was located. We sat down. To find out that there are no roast dinners served there. Staff where too busy chatting amongst eachother rather than wanting to assist. I wasn't very impressed sadly. The pub itself was beautiful and had a lovely outside area, I was just quite disappointed with the mis information and lack of customer service.
