We booked here for Sunday lunch when we were on holiday with our dog. We phoned before to say that our dog is quite big, but as we were staying in self catering we weren’t allowed to leave her there whilst we went to lunch. When we arrived, there was a dog bed ready for her which was a lovely touch. The roast dinner was amazing. The best roast dinner we have eaten in a pub/restaurant. Nice freshly cooked vegetables a huge Yorkshire, and plenty of cooked meat. Service was welcoming and attentive, so a great experience thank you

Great find in Falmouth. Glad we booked as it looked like there was a quiz evening or something going on, but it didn't detract from a great evening. Staff were friendly, sorting out a good spot for our 2 pooches. The service was good and the food was amazing. I had the roasted hake. Gorgeous. Would go back for that. My husband had the steak burger - looked amazing and he said tasted great. The mayonnaise was so tasty. Great idea! Definitely would go again.

Very good service to fit us in as a walk up and nice buzzing atmosphere. The fish pie was fairly good but the cod and chips was awful, mushy overcooked cod and really greasy cheap chips.

An October evening visit with family for dinner. Quite busy, so obviously popular venue. Food was fab, service was fab and left comfortably full and satisfied. Their menu and specials board will suit all tastes. Due to theheightt of the establishment, there are some great views overlooking Falmouth Harbour. On street parking if take the car. If i could make one suggestion to the management, we dinned updtairs and it was a degree or two on the chilly side. Easy fix really.

We have been coming to Falmouth for many years and wish we had found this place sooner. The best Sunday roast we’ve ever had whilst on holiday! Perfectly cooked, good portion sizes and so tasty. The staff were all so friendly, creating a very relaxing and welcoming atmosphere. Special mention to our waitress Briony, who was just so attentive, making our whole experience very enjoyable. Exceptional - we will be back! :)

Just what a pub should be, fantastic food, friendly service, wide array of ales and an incredibly inviting ambience. My wife and I really enjoyed our dinner here with views out to the sea, I just wish we lived here so it could become our local. What was also brilliant is that they are dog friendly so our Frenchie happily stayed with us whilst we enjoyed the food, drinks and stunning views.

Excellent Sunday lunch, the beef and lamb were very tender and the vegetables were freshly cooked and perfect. My only complaint was the frequent loud barking of a dog under a nearby table, the owners were to too ignorant to see it was upsetting people.

THE BEST ROAST IVE HAD IN A LONG TIME!! We were visiting Falmouth and after a short Google search we felt like The Boathouse would be the best spot in town for a Sunday roast and we were not wrong. I had the veggie roast and the nut roast was probably the most delicious I’d had and my partner had the lamb which he said was also extremely tasty. All of the sides on the meal (potatoes and veggies etc) were perfectly cooked and packed with flavour. It was also served pretty quickly which after walking and paddle boarding all day was much welcomed. We felt like the waiters/waitresses and bar staff were all exceptionally friendly and smiley which was a great additional touch. It’s also well located in town with a lovely view of boats 🛥️ We would come back and highly recommend. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

We were late coming to the restaurant. The restaurant rang a quarter of an hour after our due time and asked where we were. I apologized as we were running late and I apologized also in the restaurant. However, if somebody is going to ring then they need to be ready for the guests and this place certainly was not. Firstly on the Bank Holiday Friday we were there, the service seemed disorganized. The server that we had hardly said a word to us. I don't know if she was shy or just starting but I am sorry she should not have been serving. I even asked where she was from so quiet was she and got the answer back "England". There was a big delay in service and getting our glasses of wine. I went to the bar several times and despite there being enough staff, the service was very slow. From the starters to getting our main course, it took more than a half hour. The restaurant was not busy. Even getting the simple things like some mayonnaise was problematic and I had to ask a number of times for it. Neither the server in question or her colleagues apologized. The service was pathetic. The food was ok. The prawns with their heads on were edible but the sauce was terrible. My wife's pork belly was by far the most successful and in fairness tasted lovely. My fish and chips were ok but I have tasted a lot better. The fish was small while there were plenty of chips. At the end there was a server who was at least willing to be attentive and help us with a taxi. Better late than never. However, I certainly will not be back if in Falmouth.

Nice Sunday lunch, attentive staff, good food and drink. Slightly spoiled by the fact there was a homeless man in the women’s toilets. When brought to the attention of the staff, was told that he’s allowed to use it as they need to wash themselves in there. Obviously I’m sympathetic to vulnerable people, but would be nice to have had a bit of warning as they’re using the ladies, and maybe have someone clean the sink afterwards as they’re washing their body in it.

Fantastic location with views over the harbour. We were upstairs so the view was especially good. Food was absolutely delicious. After reading through TripAdvisor Reviews, we were a bit dubious to try The Boathouse for Sunday Lunch however we decided to make the decision on its quality for ourselves. We were pleasantly surprised, the service was fantastic and everyone we came across was polite and attentive. On arrival we asked if we could have a seat by the window and we were told it was fine as long as the table was returned within 1 hour 45 mins… I always find it funny when restaurants say this, my time spent HIGHLY depends on how fast your service is, luckily they were very efficient and we did not feel rushed in any way. The roast itself (despite other reviews) was huge, the amount of meat was spectacular and there was a fair amount of other items too. Whilst slightly pricey the quality was worth it and we felt we got our moneys worth. The cauliflower cheese as a £5 extra was slightly small and disappointing but this didn’t ruin our experience in any way. We asked for extra gravy when ordering (I like my roast swimming - also there were some reviews saying the gravy was like water, this was not the case at all) and this was brought with the meals although a fair amount was already on the plate. My only reservation was the potatoes, they lacked flavour and crisp and this is normally my favourite part of a roast so maybe I was overly sentimental, again not bad enough to have ruined the experience or mentioned to our waitress. Overall a good experience though 😊

I will start by saying the restaurant did reduce our bill and throw in a few free extras but we were very surprised by the quality and portioning of the food. At the time the cafe was very quiet but the staff seemed a little bit chaotic. Orders not being put through properly, items missed off and not knowing what beer they had available. A couple of us ordered the chicken burger (£13) and my son had the kids version (£8.50) but his came with chips. I was pretty shocked when we both received exactly the same sized portion. A small bun, 1/2 a small chicken fillet and one piece of lettuce, not exactly worth £13. The staff did even comment that they there was an issue but still felt it was fine to serve and just expect people to pay. The pizzas were but ok but again surprised when we we charged £3 for 2-3 sliced olives as an extra. We've eaten at many other places up and down the coast and based on our experience we would not return.
