Called when passing to buy a pasty. The young girl who served me was ignorant and rude. No manners and obviously couldn't care less if I came back or not!

Such a shame about the rude staff. Didn’t expect to get shouted at when waiting first thing for a pastry because I’d mistakenly presumed they were open at 5 past 8 (they advertise being open at 8am) after seeing someone else walk in. I apologised twice to the woman working there and still was berated for it! Won’t be back again.

Bought the pasties frozen for cooking later. Excellent quality. Xmas time, their Tunis cake is unbeatable

Can’t speak for the food as we preordered a gluten free pasty as they specify… however on arrival at the agreed time they hadn’t cooked it… apparently they take 1 hour 15 minutes… so we left empty handed. Wouldn’t normally bother to review but that was poor and my 10 year old daughter was well disappointed.

We bought the millionaires shortbread and the chocolate flake cake both were dry, tasted old and poor quality chocolate. Even our 8 year old would not eat them. They are in the bin.

Had the steak pasties and they were great. True sign of a proper pasty is no peas. Was hoping for a nice cake to follow but they only had standard things like doughnuts.

Absolutely miserable staff. Been twice now and they are as helpful as a chocolate tea pot. I do not think they have realized that being in a service industry means you actually need to provide service. Awful, if the owners are not aware, then I suggest they look at their staff and training. If they do, then it is a shame.

Amazing frozwn gluten free options, call ahead and get a gluten free pasty cooked for you, hot and fresh, takes about an hour.

Cheese and bacon pasty was banging unfortunately the staff served me with faces like bulldogs chewing wasps and the misery and negativity from them almost ruined my day… almost. If you hate your job that much you should quit.

We were recommended this bakery by family friends and the bakery never disappointed us. We placed a party order for pasties and quiche and they were really tasty . Lovely and kind staff. Highly recommended.

Dry inedible cakes and substandard croissants and pain au chocolat. Nothing was fresh got the meringue cloud it was like a polystyrene brick the iced bun was solid even struggled to cut with a knife. Pastries like the cheap ones in packets at the supermarket. Didn’t know what a Pastel de Nata was and didn’t have them anyway. Basic stock sausage roll was only edible thing anyone can do that anyway. Massive let down after such high reviews.

Such a shame as pasties are the best we've had in cornwall but I always remember customer service as much as I do the product being sold. The lady serving my dad this morning was incredibly rude. My dad went into the shop to buy 12 pasties so we could take them home to enjoy. Their website has an offer of 12 for 10, so my dad asked if he could take advantage of that, to which she bluntly retorted that he could not, my dad asked why and there was no good reason given. My goodness, surely you should be jumping at the chance to sell so many in 1 sale! The Baker came out of the back and advised that in fact they could honour the offer and she then served my dad the 12 pasties. My dad asked for a bag and a tiny bag which only fit 6 of the pasties was handed over before she left the counter without a word and before my dad could ask for another bag so my dad was left to struggle with all of the pasties. I suggest customer service training is given to this particular individual. It was 8 am, the very start of the morning, so I dread to think how awful the service is towards the end of her shift, especially on a bad day.

Walked into the shop the woman kept asking me what I wanted in a very rude tone of voice even after I asked for a couple of minutes to decide, she asked again. I asked for a bag after I paid and she ignored me. Wouldn’t go there again. Pasty was very nice.

Amazing cornish pasty best I had all holiday without a doubt very friendly staff,even better cakes all round lovely place first time in Cornwall and first time having a proper cornish pasty and my first one was here it made my holiday thankyou all x

Great bakery with fantastic produce! The ladies were very lovely and helpful when we asked a few questions in regards to taking pasties on our trip home that was 7 hours. The focaccia sandwiches were delicious as was the coffee and sausage rolls. Thank you, 100% recommend.

The food was amazing, one of the best pasties I've tasted since moving to Cornwall, however the staff had the grumps because their card machine was playing up, a complete sense of humor failure... But the still... The pasty was spot on!

Popped in for a coffee and pasty. Pasty was good but the service was below par. I normally go back if the service is good but this time round I won’t. Also, one tea, one black coffee and two standard pasties came to £15!!

Just enjoyed the best Cornish pasty I have ever had. Tasty tender meat, perfectly cooked veg and the perfect amount of seasoning. I will be returning to Portreath Bakery for another pasty very soon.

We bought our lunch here during our stay in Portreath one day. Their Cornish pasties were really good, as well as their veg pasties. My daughter picked up a ‘Too good to go’ bag one day too and for £3 we got a huge selection of goods which were lovely. A large white loaf and cherry cake were our favourites.

Beautiful hot and tasty pasties. Very good price for the size you get. You can get a cuppa there too.

Great food, great team and customer service, would have loved to have a cuppa with them but they were very busy.

There was no slicer for the bread, and I didn't like the cappacinno. Too much milk and temperature too high.

Had x 2 pasties that were just about OK. Also had x 2 bakewell tarts, which we couldn't eat as the icing was disgusting. Very expensive at that. I used to get my pasties & pastries here all the time, but I think it's time to try elsewhere from now on.

Went for Lunch with my 3 year old disabled granddaughter. The lady with the blonde short hair made constant sly remarks about her. I felt so uncomfortable that I left. There’s a reason none of the kids go to the bakery after school. Your staff are rude, unprofessional and I will never be back. I’ve reported you for discrimination and would like your insurance details. Thanks.

£5,50 For a large pasty. Happily pay if it was nice. Worse pasty I've ever tasted. Since when did you stop putting seasoning in them. Take one off the shelf and try. You will see what I mean. Not like they use to be 4 May 23 Not good

I went to the shop in Lanner and bough 3 pasties. The price of £5.25 for a large pasty is quite frankly robbery. The pasties were about the size of a medium in most other shops and this was the main sticking point for me. They are not bad pasties but certainly not the best in Cornwall.

We have travelled throughout Cornwall & sampled many pasties but the ones made at this bakery are by far the best in the county.

Very expensive. 1 coffee which was a tiny cup and 2 very small bacon bites was £8! The bacon bites were very tasty but not worth the money

It's the first time I had used the bakery,as I'm working in the village temporarily.I bought a few items,which were fresh and well presented.They were good value for money.It was a lovely happy atmosphere and Jo was delightful to talk to and a pleasure to deal with.Highly recommended.

Friendly staff, welcomed with a smile. Lovely steak pasties and sausage rolls we purchased. The cakes looked delicious too, especially the lemon tarts. Will return another time if in the area.

If I could put 0 stars I would. It was shockingly bad. The pasty wasn't even cooked properly, it had this weird juice leaking out of it constantly and the bag was sopping by the end of it. I couldn't even finish it because the pastry was soft in a way that it was just dough. I pulled the crust off and the rest of the pasty came with it, it was stretchy. Never go here. If you want nice pasties there's a Malcolm Barnecutt's in Pool at Cook's Corner. Those guys can actually make pasties.

Can only comment on what I got, and it was all good. Had a cake that was 70p - 3 portions of it! Was really nice. Also had a pasty for the missus, she said it was OK, as was hungry, but that she'd had a lot better. Staff were nice, I would 100% visit again. They do Ruby Chocolate muffins too, good to see more Ruby around, however, I needed coffee with mine as quite dry. Not sure if that was by design, so, was fine.

Pastys are really good, but my favorite is the cheese bacon bite. They have several gluten free options, but I didn't try them.

The best pasties around. We taste tested all the local bakeries and these were the best. I even went back to buy frozen ones to take back home to Spalding to cook at home

Must be very popular. Very busy on Saturday afternoon with long queue waiting outside the small shop. Lovely pasties -one of the best yet! I got a bargain seeded loaf in the sale for 50p too!! Very safe Covid practices in place.

We have many pasties from portreath pasty shop .. but the two we had today were not good my wife's veggy one ...the pastry was very dry and tasted like a wholemeal party very bland Mine a 'large ' steak the pastry was still doey it wasnt cooked in the crimp the meat tasted tainted to me..no salt flavouring whatsoever.. 1 good thing the sausage roll was good .should of just bought two of them . really disappointed ... The size was visibly not good 9.50

Very expensive for what it is and not what I would call artisan! £2 for something described as "still soft" regular granary loaf. I bought that with a few cakes that were small delicious parcels of joy but when it came to pay the bill the shop assistant didn't say how much, just expected me to pay without knowing! I can now see why, though good for the diet.

Gave us meat pasties when we asked for vegetable ones and didn’t find out until we started eating! Anyone going here should doublecheck that they’ve got the right order before leaving!

Placed an order Friday afternoon didn't receive it until Monday morning so disappointed, got frozen sausage rolls the scones feel frozen or stale Tealights taste very bland had a lot better from Warren's I used to cook for a living so I know what im talking about

Chicken pasty was lovely. Always get something in there wen i go to the beach with the dogs... good food clean inside with hand gel and friendly staff.

This is exactly how you sort out your beach visit.... Grab a cuppa,. Pastie and not of heavy cake them along the road to the beach. Can't get much better!!

Wonderful gluten free choices. The first gluten free pasty my wife has ever had, she nearly cried with joy. And the sconces taste the same and have the same texture as normal scones. Well done whoever bakes these beauties!

They rave about the fact they do the best gluten free pasties etc but when you get there they don't have anything available, went back a second time still had nothing gluten free available, complete waste of time. Don't say you do gluten free and then don't come up with the goods. Ball bag
