We have just had the most beautifully moist, white battered haddock and chips. We ordered a mixture of regular and large - and the large were absolutely huge, all with perfect, crisp batter. A large portion of chips fed more than four with good appetites. We always have our fish and chips from Fish and Chips at - and never disappointed. Delivery was on time ( was able to book mid afternoon) and the food was piping hot. Recommended

After a rainy guided tour of Port Sunlight we were cold and hungry, the gallery cafe was just across the road and was just what we needed. Had reasonably priced jacket potato with chilli and salad which was very good. The cafe is a bit dark and dismal but the food was good.

Came in after a long evening walk to this welcoming and friendly pub. Our group all had different drinks, which were all enjoyed and a special mention to the local offering (red leg) which was a nice edition to the pub. Drinks prices were reasonable and for that reason a second round was happily enjoyed by all, the atmosphere in the pub is chilled and a log fire was a lovely edition to match the character of the pub. Would return and a mention to the landlord too who was knowledgable and welcoming to us.

Went here whilst visiting the area for a birthday. Everything about this place was amazing. Loads of drink choice, big portions and tasted amazing! Definitely recommend.

Lovely Little farm shop with a small cafe. A very friendly lady served us and the food was delicious. Nice products on sale. We will return

The fish and chips were realky good Been 4 years since here could do with a lick of paint but then again we were not there for the decor

First day we went as a family of 4 , the staff was lovely and the food was quick , second day we went , the waitress didn’t know what she was doing , had to pick our own table , finally when my husband ordered the food while standing in a line for 30 min sat down I took the kids to the playground , call him to swap me came back and our table was given away and our drink was taken away , had to argue with a blond waitress that we already ordered our food and that we literally left the table for 5 seconds , she was very rude and very unpleasant. Will not come to this restaurant ever again . Under staffed and very rude waitress

Amazing carvery lists of meat and tasty vegetables lots of choice with all the trimmings , 3 sizes small, med and large and all great value for money

Very disappointed no atmosphere felt cold, got there at 9 mins to 2. Albeit food till 2pm wanted soup and sandwich but was told the chef had already closed the kitchen. I had a black tea which had a coffee taste. Husband had a pint which was cloudy and of poor quality. Would avoid this place at all costs. Everything you don't expect in a pub.

What an absolutely gem of a place. Quality food, tasty and inexpensive. The staff are so professional and knowledgeable about the food on the menu. The bonus is that the staff are so welcoming and thoughtful. A gem of a place and will certainly be returning again and again. To the owner of this exceptional hotel keep up the good work.

It was a great atmosphere with the front of house team making you so welcome - Easter Sunday. We shared a bruschetta to start with which was well presented, lovely tomatoes. We had a lamb roast and beef roast dinner - which was cooked lovely and full of flavour. My wife liked the parsnip and onion accompiament, I loved the beetroot - but too me the best of all was the roast potatoes. Very generous portion of lovely food. Thanks I would hight recommend

Nice straight forward place with good gin selection and good beers. Mr Beard bar man was the highlight - class guy.
