The best restaurants serving Asian food in South East

We enjoyed a lovely meal here with family. Winchester is a mutual meeting point for my parents and as I am a picky eater, it's not always easy finding somewhere we will all enjoy. They advertised a 2 course meal outside but we were not offered these menus, only the regular menu. The pad thai was lovely, a little expensive for 6 prawns, but it was tasty and enjoyable. The coconut rice was also really nice, I didn't try any of the other dishes but everyone enjoyed them, although my Dad said the beef was a little tough. It was busy and service was good. Just watch out when paying the bill, I was sat trying to find money for a tip but then we reaslised a 10% service charge had already been added on so don't get caught out. Overall it was a nice meal in a nice city central restaurant.

Friendly staff, good selection and quality of food. Complimentary whiskey and chocs sweetened the deal at the end of the meal.

Hi I had dinner with my friend on Thursday evening and after that dinner in 4 hours my friend was sick, vomiting and all weekend he was sick. Within 2 days I also had the same symptoms. Won’t be eating again at your restaurant !

Disappointed. Used to love Wagamama’s and their expansive plant-based menu, but since they changed that I was hesitant to visit. For good reason apparently. This was my first time back in over a year, and the quality and options for food are abysmal. No longer offer any of their plant based meat options which were iconic and delicious I.e, the ribs, squid and teriyaki chi*ken ramen. Basically if you don’t like mushrooms don’t bother eating here if you’re veggie or vegan. The salted edamame was soggy and covered in your standard table salt (this used to be fresh sea salt), an obvious cost cut. For my main I opted for the saku saku shiitake. It was way too sweet, noodles were crunchy almost all over and the mushroom was inedible. They were simply lumps of fried mush. Didn’t even look like mushrooms and had to question if I’d received the duck version instead. Shouldn’t be considered a main dish, maybe a side at best, and to charge £14.50 for what is essentially noodles and veg is astounding. Overall, the prices have skyrocketed and the quality had plummeted. Really used to highly regard Wagamamas, but not anymore. If you’re looking for really great Asian food in whiteley (with many delicious plant-based options), opt for Dim T instead. Far better service, food, and value.

I love Wagamama, I eat at them all over Europe. This one was inside the WestQuay mall. We had great service and the food was excellent as always.

Great for a casual dinner - i had the Chinese curry and they swapped meat for prawns very kindly. They also catered for my friend who has a nut allergy. She had the katsu curry and sweet and sour chicken bits. We really enjoyed !! Highlight of my week !!!

Did the lunch time tapas menu. Great food, great service and great entertainment from Sam, who played the guitar and sang happy birthday to three different groups including our own in the restaurant. Would definitely recommend

I have ordered from this place about 5 times now but never got round to leaving a review. Where do I start, the chicken morisha was absolutely delicious, very flavoursome and hot. The naan was the best naan I ever had, fresh and good size. Other takeaways naans are soggy and deflated. Having tried the local competition, this takeaway is far superior in every shape and form. You can tell they only use the best chicken and meat and it’s so fresh. If you haven’t tried this place - your loss really!

I decided to treat my wife to a meal out when I disappeared to work at short notice. She wanted to go memories of India in Farnham common. The popadoms were nice. We both had lamb pasanada and rice. We both had a pint of lime and soda. Everything was fine until we got the bill 51 pounds. We were charged nearly 10 pounds for two pints or lime and soda!

One of the best Indian meals we’ve had in a long time. Absolutely delicious, great service and lovely friendly staff. Thanks so much for a great evening!

Went here with friends, food was excellent and very tasty. Service was good. Take your own drink which makes it a cheaper evening.

2nd visit after a previously wonderful experience as a couple,this time with friends and family Total contrast .....greasy pakoras (3 portions on the table...no sauces) Bhajis ....some people's were raw ,one was burnt and raw inside My madras...a 60/40 mix of chicken pieces with huge chunks of tomato The naan bread was the only positive We were very disappointed The staff this time weren't any from the previous time and I'm not aware of it being taken over so why was it so slow ...the naan and rice coming out 5 minutes after the mains The restaurant wasn't full for a Saturday and we had an hour interval between courses Not knocking the staff but come on guys....you can get it right so why was this time so terrible ....won't be back I'm afraid
