Had a Sunday buffet lunch here, the service was friendly and the food was lovely, with plenty of choice (even chips & nuggets for kids if required), and to our surprise it is part of Shahi (which is our local Indian restaurant, which we use weekly for our takeaways as their food is just superb and never fails to disappoint. We will certain use again for our Sunday lunch.

Thought this would be an excellent choice for lunch, but unfortunately this was not the case. From the moment we arrived the greeter tried to explain how things worked but we could not understand him nor did he want to repeat himself. He just kept scribbling on the paper on our table. Despite asking for large drinks they seemed to be small glasses. The food we ordered was well cooked, good quality and enjoyable.overall disappointing service and drinks and unlikely to comeback to this particular restaurant.

We have some good restaurants in Edinburgh serving Indian food but this establishment in the centre of Woking is right up there with the best. We were down for the Hampton Court Flower Show and needed somewhere good after a slightly damp day. We couldn’t have done better. Efficient and friendly staff, a good atmosphere with every table taken and clean fresh linen tablecloth and napkins results in something special – and that’s before you get on to the deliciously and subtly spiced dishes. The railway lamb lives up to its heritage and I would thoroughly recommend eating here.

We haven't ordered from Longhouse for a while. It has been good in the past and I was really looking forward to our take-away. We were very disappointed with our food, it was very poor. We ordered salt and pepper paneer, which was so hard it was difficult to cut and needed a lot of chewing to swallow. The rendang tofu and king prawn with garlic, basil and chilli were both very poor quality. The egg fried rice was so unpleasant that we hardly ate any of it. There was very little egg, I saw one piece, and the dish had no flavour. Such a shame. We won't be ordering from them again.

I came here with some friends for my birthday meal. Upon walking into the restaurant, it was cold and the atmosphere was uncomfortable. The service is beyond terrible, extremely slow and very poor. The waiters were unable to communicate properly and this posed as an additional problem. The food was average and with very expensive prices the quantity and quality both were very poor. The portion sizes and the way the food looked was also disgusting. I didn't want to ruin my evening, otherwise I would have left as soon as I sat down.

2nd visit after a previously wonderful experience as a couple, this time with friends and family Total contrast .....greasy pakoras (3 portions on the table...no sauces) Bhajis ....some people's were raw ,one was burnt and raw inside My madras...a 60/40 mix of chicken pieces with huge chunks of tomato The naan bread was the only positive We were very disappointed The staff this time weren't any from the previous time and I'm not aware of it being taken over so why was it so slow ...the naan and rice coming out 5 minutes after the mains The restaurant wasn't full for a Saturday and we had an hour interval between courses Not knocking the staff but come on guys....you can get it right so why was this time so terrible ....won't be back I'm afraid

The food here I have generally always thought of as a better quality than any other local Thai restaurants which I accepted the higher prices for. Having spent two years living in Thailand eating only Thai cuisine, and being able to speak some of the language also, I was unfortunately disappointed in the lack of 'dining out' experience we had here. Not even a single candle or a flower at the tables, they were literally bare. No authentic decor or staff uniform etc. There was a portable gas fire in the middle of the restaurant for heating which didn't help the overall ambience; it just felt much more geared up to being a takeaway venue with a few tables for good measure than a lovely restaurant experience. The same food in a different environment would have tasted much better I'm sure!
