Spice Lounge Restaurant in Bracknell Forest

It is ok but not exceptional! I believe it is a Bangladeshi owned restaurant cooking Indian food. Might be good to have more a authentic Bangladeshi food !

Awful service for the SECOND TIME. Made an order at 7pm and at 8.30 pm it still hadn’t arrived. Rang them and they said ‘it’s out for delivery’ and to ‘call back in 15 minutes if it isn’t arrived’. I called back and they hung up on me when I asked where it was. We live 5 minutes away and this has happened twice - disgraceful service

Went for a birthday curry night with some friends, the staff were very friendly and helpful, we were a group of 11 chaps and they accommodated us perfectly in a private room. Service was really attentive food was fantastic. Music was fantastic. Overall great experience, nice food and lovely setting!

Ordered a takeaway and was advised 50mins and hour and a half later no sign of my food. Called to be advised it was on its way, 30mins later still no sign of food. Called again to be advised again it was on its way and then was hung up on. Still no food 🤬

Had a really nice dinner here with friends, food was delicious and service very good. There were quite a lot of us with all different orders but that didn't cause any problem at all.

Good starters and generous portions had the mixed grill starter for 2. The mains not so good. I ordered chicken tikka bhuna when it came out was not tikka was plain chicken. The sauce was extremely bland with no flavour to it at all. I found most of the other food on the table lacking flavour too. Naan bread was good best thing about the main course. Maybe it wasn’t the normal chef? When I got the bill we had been charged for chicken tikka in our dishes (£1 extra for tikka per dish) I couldn’t be bothered to dispute. Not sure I would return.

We went here today and had the best Curry in a long time. Everything fresh and tasty and the service we received matched. Would recommend and will definitely be visiting again.

I took my elderly mum and dad for a meal and they kept their coats on the entire time as it was so cold . We asked for one of the electric fires to be put on which the waiter did but it didn't make much difference. Really disappointed as food was mediocre, best part was the waiter asked if I wanted to leave a gratuity tip "joker"

This has been my favourite Indian restaurant for years generally eat in but this was a takeaway order and was delivered without the rice dish. When I called the restaurant to inform them they said they were too busy to bring a rice but they would refund just the rice. When I asked if they would eat Jalfrezi without rice the manager doing the refund said “no ma’am but you could have a piece of bread with it” £30 wasted and will never use them again

The food was absolutely rubbish. The name doesn’t go by the taste of food. Nothing was spicy at all. Every dish was sweet and loaded with oil. No spicyness at all. Will never order from here again.

We popped in for a quick lunch on Sunday. Poppadoms and dips, onion bhaji and lamb samosas for starters and chicken bhunas with rice for mains. All items were excellent. Service was attentive and the bill was surprisingly reasonable. We will definitely return soon!

Then the app changed at 6:05pm to a delivery time of 7:10pm, by 7:10pm, the food had still not arrived so my girlfriend called the restaurant to be greeted with “we are busy, it will be sent when it’s ready”. No apology, no here’s 10% of your next order, no nothing. Clearly don’t understand customer service and the word of mouth referral. Rude staff, poor service. You can’t even monitor your order or delivery on the app as they don’t use it. Will not be ordering from Spice Lounge ever again, and I can see from the reviews that this a a common problem Take your hard earned cash somewhere else. You have been warned. Ordered a takeaway tonight for husbands birthday. it arrived quickly and the food arrived piping hot and was delicious. Would recommend and when I can I will be eating in the restaurant

Food arrived two amd a half hours after ordering it. When I phomed up the restaurant three times to find out where my food order was the staff were very rude and said they were busy and I just had to wait. I tried to cancel my order and was told it was not possible. When the food eventually arrived it was cold and we didn't enjoy it. Definitely would not recommend.

DO NOT RECOMMEND!! Absolutely appalling service and extremely rude staff! Was informed our order would arrive within 40 mins, after waiting for over an hour we tried to contact the restaurant which took 40 mins before they answered the phone and I was informed our order is on its way and will be with us within 5-10 mins. Another half hour passed and still no arrival of our food, I contacted the restaurant again to be told it will be another 10 mins, when questioned if the food was even on its way like they had previously informed me I was told no it’s in the kitchen being made to then be told straight after that it’s with the driver and is on its way to us (they then had to confirm this with the kitchen staff). I asked to speak to a manager and was told I can’t as they are too busy and they then hung the phone up on me. I phoned them again and was told to wait another 10 mins, over 2 hours later and still our food has not arrived. I asked to cancel our order and for a refund which they said what do you want us to do with the food and then hung up on me. I continued to contact the restaurant who continued to hang the phone up on me as soon as hearing my voice! I can honestly say I have never ever experienced such poor service in my life neither experienced such rude staff! Will definitely not be returning to this restaurant as they clearly do not care about their customers or the service they are trying to provide.

Hi I ordered a Bhuna, but was worried it would be too hot, spoke to the restaurant and they said they would try and make it less hot....it was lovely. Try the Niramish as well as this is a lovely side dish along with the Bengal Aloo. All in all very good, lots of chicken with generous portions. This was during Covid, so was a delivery but all very good.

This is by far the worst Curry I have ever had in my life! Shocking, the bread naan had lumps of raw garlic in it, the dough wasn’t cooked properly, the meat in the curry was poor, full of fat. We choose two different’s, both tasted and looked exactly the same, the whole thing was so disgusting we threw it in the bin. Never again!!!

What a shame , I thought I would support local businesses but if I had paid full price ( had an Uber offer) I would ask for a refund, none of our 3 main courses had any flavour,they were bland and indescribable, the rice was the same ,and the naan breads equally tasteless,would not order again,and would say avoid.

This restaurant’s delivery service is always very good with quick and easy ordering through their website. The food is equally very good all the time.

Delivery took over one and hour hours, and when the food arrived it was luke warm, rice was cold and chicken rogan josh had 4 pieces of chicken. When I phoned to chase the order the men couldn't care less. Never using again!

We decided to order a family meal for 6 people from this restaurant. I had been meaning to try the food for a while as I recently moved back to the area.We placed our order over the phone and arranged for collection at 6:45pm on the same evening. The order consisted of Biriyani, Naans, Chicken Kyber, Lamb Balti, Lamb chops and Veg curry. So the service and timeliness was good. However, the food was not great. It lacked flavour. The lamb chops were very fatty. The meat in the Chicken curry was not cooked fully and so we could not eat this at all unless without risking food poisoning. The prawn biriyani was very ordinary, prawns were rubbery and dish did not taste great.The restaurant did offer 10% discount on collections and so we still ended up paying £58 for a meal that was underwhelming. Shall not be ordering again. We did get four complimentary pappadoms.

Last night made an online order for delivery it stated it would take 1hr 45mins. Therefore called them and advised if we collected how long? Was informed 1 hour. As we live 2 minutes from the restaurant we decided to collect. Called them on the hour and they claimed 20 minutes so went down to collect, my wife went in and it was still not ready after a further 25 minutes she called me and we agreed to cancel the order. The staff kept refusing to talk to her or reimburse the order and said it is coming. My wife waited and brought home the takeaway, (note I did not use the word food). This is because it is the worst takeaway we have ever experienced from anywhere. I tried to call them to complain but the phone was permanently engaged. The takeaway had no taste and was all watered down. I had also ordered the lamb chops which were like rubber. Whilst my wife was in the restaurant other people were coming in and complaining and demanding to be reimbursed, further to that their delivery drivers were also complaining that customers were cancelling their orders and demanding to be reimbursed. My wife further said that inside the restaurant was a joke the staff were all arguing with themselves and the whole situation was so disorganised and a shambles. We will never use this restaurant again

What a total joke, ordered online and after two hours no food delivered? Not answering phone so had to drive over to collect. Told not answering phone because people cancelling orders. Food worst in bracknell, had no taste! Would never use again.

Ordered food at 1830 (1930 eta)Nothing by 2000 so we called them and they said it was on the way..Food arrived at 2040 and you could tell it had been sat in bad traffic for over an hour n half.. it was cold, so my wife requested some money back, through the app and this was rejected by saying the driver was stuck in traffic! We have lived in the wokingham/bracknell area for 5 years and have never been overwhelmed with the currys we have had. Spice lounge is our new local and we love it, great menu, full of flavour and not just hot. They recently started bring your own alcohol which we have enjoyed. Taken many friends and family who approve. Eat in is better than take away.

We ordered our food to be delivered and it arrived hot, fresh and delicious. 4 different curries, rice, samosas, popadoms and Nan bread. Good size portions. Would definitely order direct again.

They have truly lost me as a customer that has eaten at this restaurant previously!!The takeaway was runny, badly watered down Korma and the masala was bland... the nann bread was cold and dry no meat in their keema, I did not expect this from a takeaway that cost me nearly £30.00 in total! I called them to complain and they said they were too busy to deal with my complaint... tried to speak to the manager got a name of Ahmed.. but in the end he gave up listening to my complaint and hung up. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE - in uncertain times like this, takeaways can be a treat for a lot of people and so spend your money at an Indian that will take duty of care... as your not at the restaurant instead your gambling with what you’ll get with these Indians and Cowboys. We visited here in early October Again. The good was delicious and very tasty and service excellent. They did not have a liscense so we took our own wine which was even better. It was very quiet And I hope that more people will visit as it’s a lovely restaurant and good to support local businesses .

NOTHING... that’s the answer... in their Keema naan which is supposedly to have meat in them... I was greeted with paste inside the naan...and that’s it!!!the food was terrible, it was bland... I love eating Indian food and have eaten at locals such as the Koh-I noor in Bracknell, Amir in Binfield and I like the take away from Harmans water called Shahidas ohhh and can’t forget Balti King I order probably more regularly from them But wanted to try another one and unfortunately this is a bad stain!These guys, I was so disappointed as I heard some good readings but no way will I be returning back to these guys... My wife and I had a meal here this evening, we’re local but have never been before. We’re so pleased we entered away from the usual Bracknell curry houses because the meal was great, we has the shared starter and every bit was superb. We took our own bottle of red which made it even better. The staff were friendly, polite and looked after us but the food stands out as being the star. Service was a bit slow but it was very busy tonight, should’ve taken two bottles. garlic naan was to die for !!

We first tried this restaurant during Eat out to Help Out and have been visiting for dinner since on a regular basis. Love the menu, very varied and a big plus for us is that you take your own alcohol (no corkage charge).... cuts down the overall bill. Food is wonderful and offers some choices I have not come across in other Indian restaurants, as well as the traditional favourites. The quantity was just right as well. Occupied tables were spaced well apart and all staff were wearing masks.They are offering 30% discount for Mondays and Tuesdays in October which is brilliant or on Wednesday they offer a banquet meal which is superb value.... I think they may be flexible on offering it on other weekdays as well, but need to check. For £13.95 it is amazing value, comprising a starter, main, side, rice or Naan, and ice cream or coffee. There is also a vegetarian banquet option available. At full price, their menu is still competitive.I never felt rushed like I sometimes do in restaurants... the pace of the meal was just perfect. We booked a table for 7.30pm to ensure a leisurely meal and to finish in time to vacate the restaurant before 10pm. The staff here are lovely, and nothing is too much trouble for them. We have been with two different sets of friends, and with family, and everyone has enjoyed the experience. Highly recommend this restaurant, definitely worth a visit.... please don't all rush at once though as I want to be able to reserve my table for next week!!!

We visited as four friends tempted by the Spice Lounge’s special offer of 30% discount for Mondays and Tuesdays In September, plus you can bring your own alcohol without any corkage charge.The meal was really excellent, beautifully cooked, with some unusual tasty and aromatic dishes not often seen on an Indian restaurant menu. And the discount brought our bill for four down to a bargain £45.Plenty of space between occupied tables and not overcrowded so we felt safe and secure from a Covid point of view.Understand they are going to repeat this offer in October so we will definitely be going back. 10/10. Well done!

When the food arrived, they were still hot.Accuracy of order:Poor, I ordered my curry with medium "hot" and it turned out not at all spicy. They should read the order details better. Other than that, I received what I have ordered.Food:Bad... very bad... I am sorry to say but if I compare Spice Lounge curry to Tesco Takeaway No.43 or No. 44 curry, I think Tesco version wins hands down. To be specific, the curry tasted "water down" from the condensation inside the plastic container during transportation. Nan bread texture was "rubbery" but my Chicken Tikka tasted okay!Future orders:Thanks but no thanks! I will eat Tesco Takeaway curry instead.

Been hear many a time BUT this time terrible time and the last No track and trace here but it’s LAW sat us down 18 minutes to come and Take owe order then a further 45 minutes for starters to arrive had no taste What’s so ever onion barges were like doe the king prawn purée 1 spoon on top of A greasy bread after leaving the starters we decided to leave the main course asked For the bill twice in 15 minutes came over and said sorry very busy with takeaway And in restaurant We were very very concerned about the track and trace as the place was packed Customers were running round after asking can you take over order can I have a glass of water Apologies too table next to for keeping them waiting Only 3 staff on

Really disappointed! Have ordered Almost weekly for a year, but after calling for waiting for a takeaway for Over 1hr 45 mins, we had a very abrupt rude response to which the Guy working hang up! No apology and was made to feel out of order for asking where our food was. Wasn’t told how long it would be and that they were still waiting on a delivery driver. 2hrs and still no food

This restaurant is now open for business and you take your own wine and beer. This makes it even better value.The food tastes fresh and the vegetarian options were very good, though not wide ranging.Unlike many restaurants the food is not too salty and the service was excellent throughout.This was our third visit and the quality is consistent and the potions are very generous.The arrangements for Covid-19 are good.

Visited after 3 months of lock down on the 4th July as this was our frequent hangout for good food / service / surroundings. They were not ready to open although they only 3 tables to service , limited staff , and were over capacity on takeaway. Had to send the poppadoms back 5 times as these where not fresh and the food was 'ok' but not up to the previous standard. Such a shame as I we will not be going back now after 2 years of loyal custom as this experience was so poor.

Even though we are missing eating out! The Spice lounge do an amazing take away meal to est at home. Even giving me 50% off my order as I am a keyworker!

My partner and I ordered four curry’s for the Family, to be fair the food wasn't bad and a Satisfying 7/10 but the Service was the worst I’ve experienced, SO rude! They missed something off our order and when we called to get it we was told they will give it to us next time, we politely said that we ordered it now to eat now and not the next time we order, and they said there is nothing they can do and hung up the phone... to say I was frustrated is an understatement! So rude and I really wouldn’t mind if the food wasn’t already an hour late but to be spoken to like that as a customer / human being is absolutely appalling! I will never be ordering from there again...If you go a mile up the road the daruchini is far better with staff that talk to you like an adult.

We have now enjoyed 2 Take Aways, delivered to our house since we’ve been in Lock Down.This is a restaurant that we would probably visit every two weeks in normal times.Have to say that they have an excellent web page for ordering food. The dinner arrived on time.The food was excellent on both occasions, certainly up to their normal Standard. We would most certainly recommend their great Currys.

Everytime I walk past the Spice lounge, the smells are gorgeous! So for my wife's birthday a few days back we ordered a Shaslik, Biryani and starter for two. The food was waiting for us as we preferred to collect and being the first time using Spice lounge, the food was fabulous! Obviously at time of writing the restaurant is not available so can't comment on atmosphere etc but guarantee we will be returning soon. Getting hungry just thinking about it so a big thumbs up!!

Ordered online. Delivered very quickly. Food was tasteless and inedible. Totally disappointed and threw entire meal in the bin. Rang the restaurant to complain, was offered replacement meals but wouldn’t have risked it. No offer of a refund- will never use again.

I have eaten in the restaurant a few times and loved the food. Tried the delivery service via Just Eats and got a discount to use next time if order direct, so we did. You can register on their web site and order from it. Very easy, voucher code accepted and paid online. Good for these Corona times. Food delivered in good time, hot and delicious. Well this is my favourite local curry house. I've been going for years and always promised a review. Well this is it......The staff have changed over the years but they all seem picked from the same tree, welcoming, fun and attentive.The food is wow! I often ask for a really really hot curry and they say "Are you sure" and I say "YES"It comes up well prepared and absolutely scrumptious along with a good selection of other dishes.When I have friends and family coming to stay in Binfield and we go for a curry then it has to be the Spice Lounge Warfield.The Building is the the old pub "The Three Legged Cross" which is supposed to be haunted.The only spirits I've uncounted are those in the staff and in the bottles behind the bar!!!!

Visit here now at least twice a month. The food is one of the best Indian’s around and has taken the top spot from the Koi Noor now in Priestwood. Very traditional decor inside with good parking available. The owner along with all his staff however really make a difference to every visit. A warm welcome is guaranteed and they make every effort to ensure your dining experience is top notch. Menu is vast with options and quality is always on point.

Visited on Sunday 23rd February. Friendly, welcoming staff who always greet you with a smile. Have visited many times before so know the quality of food offered. Food did not disappoint, tasty, authentic and fresh. Would highly recommend.

First visit to this restaurant- very impressed with the quality of the food and the friendliness and efficiency of the staff. In particular (although I don’t suffer from food allergies) I was pleasantly surprised by the extensive information on the menu about ingredients and allergens. One star deducted due to the slightly irritating and monotonous background music.

Went for Sunday lunch. Good rangebl of curries on offer including all the usual starters, nan bread. Good selection of mains, CTM, Saag Gosht, etc.etc. great rice. Even sliced pineapple and chocolate cake for dessert.

Visited for the Sunday buffet at Spice lounge and it was delicious. So much choice and amazing value. The staff are really accommodating and make you feel welcome. We will definitely be returning again and highly recommend this restaurant!

Visited on a Friday evening with a group of (very noisy!) friends. Instantly made to feel welcome. Staff were attentive, patient and personable. Above all, food was first class - perfectly cooked, presented and reasonably priced. Will definitely be back!

Definitely the best Indian food in the area. Ordered a takeaway this evening and has been excellent as usual so deserves an honest review. Decent portions, cooked beautifully and a few extras thrown in. Thank you very much.

Had a few takeaways from here so we decided to eat in. Excellent service and great food. King Prawn Puri and Lamb Bhuna we’re very good. Cobra on tap also.

We have been visiting this restaurant for many years but stopped as we choose to eat vegetarian and vegan diets. Upon hearing that they have created a vegan menu decided to go back to try. If you follow me you will see I’m pretty direct and honestly I have to say that the vegan meal was amazing! The food was very fresh and light and the waiter was very knowledgeable. Would highly recommend.
