I went to this restaurant today at 23:27, even though their listed closing time was 00:00. When I walked in, there were two staff members, and one rudely said, "What are you doing? We are going to close. Didn’t you see we mopped the floor?" First of all, there was NO sign board indicating a wet floor. Second, if you’re open until midnight, why are you acting like customers are a problem? When I pointed this out, they didn’t even apologize. Instead, one of them just asked, "What do you want to order?" If you’re closing, why ask me that? The whole experience was confusing and unprofessional. To the restaurant management: If you’re closing early, lock the door. If the floor is wet, put a sign board. If you stop taking orders before closing, make that clear. And most importantly, teach your staff basic manners—a simple apology goes a long way. Would NOT recommend. Avoid this place!

As just a pub this venue is great. But we decided to pop in for the food. The menu has been desecrated. There used to be interesting good value items like the beef rib, and the portions used to be reasonable. But now we bought a sharing meat platter for 2, it wouldn't have filled one person. It's a shame as it used to be good but just food wise it's gone very downhill in 2025.

Food is below average and the staff is very unprofessional. Whilst dining in the restaurant one of the waitresses pulled out an Iqos and was smoking from it in the restaurant rather than in the back where smoking is allowed which i find appalling. Sat in the front of the shop for a reason.. to not be around smoke! Awful. Also asked for a side of sour cream which is usually served in a bowl however, I got charged full price and all they did was put a spoonful on top of my food. Never going there again.

I made an order an hour ago for collection, we came to collect the 2 pizzas. I’m very sick, i wanted to order delivery but they don’t provide delivery for the area where we live, so had to come and collect it. Now we came, and they said ‘they gave our pizzas to someone else by mistake, because they had a similar name. They are sorry.’ I asked how can this happen? They said ‘they had a similar name’. I asked ‘don’t you ask for their order number when collecting the pizza?’ Their reply was ‘no, we don’t, it’s his mistake.’ Then they asked me for the order number I clearly said I ordered an hour ago so they have time to make it as I don’t feel well, I don’t want to wait for it in the car. Then now, they told me they will make it just now. I’m very disappointed about this service!

Visited here a few times for a Spoons breakfast and coffee when visiting Great Yarmouth. Unfortunately a couple of things not quite up to standard today. 1) One of the coffee machines wasn't working so a bit of a queue for the one that was in service. Table where the milk jug and sugars etc. absolutely covered in powder and bits of rubbish. 2) Ordered two large breakfasts. Mine was ok but my partner's had a badly burnt piece of toast that had been hidden under the unburned slices. Had it have arrived visible would have rejected the toast as inedible and carcinogenic. Hopefully a one off and hopefully both coffee machines will be working on our next visit. It was a bit sly though to hide the burnt slice and sure that Weatherspoons have policy on food presentation and quality. On a positive note gent toilets were very clean.

I would give no stars if I could this place will rob you blind and it is disgusting .They have no clue what hygiene is I watched a man coughing all over the food while cooking and another man taking out the rubbish with his bare hands then comming back in the shop and serving food.🤢 I bought a large chips with cheese and it came in a small Burger box and then proceeded to charge me £6.50 which it clearly says £6 for large on their board and when confronted started to act like he didn’t realise then started smirking as i left . I am honestly disgusted .

This was our second and last time going to Chicktopia. The first time was just after they opened and there were some service issues, but the food was good and so I forgave the teething problems. I regret my forgiveness. Today we ordered from the machines, which were clearly malfunctioning, but with no explanation we ploughed on. The only person serving (remember this was a busy Saturday lunchtime!) was young and certainly not well-trained in dealing with the public. When the machines failed to register our order (and everyone else ordering at the same time) he resorted to taking a photo of the order and taking that through to the kitchen. All this without a word to us, let alone an apology. We waited over 20 minutes for the food, with more and more people gathering behind us. In all this time no staff offered any welcome to people arriving or apologies to those waiting. When I asked the 'manager' what was going on and asked him to explain things to us he just said 'it's all fine now'. I understand a computer malfunction, I do not understand the lack of communication. I had plenty of time to write an email of complaint to the company as none of the staff were talking to me. When we finally got the order it was missing the sandwich. I felt so frustrated. When I went back to query it I had to wait another 15 minutes. Again no apology, no explanation. Since coming home and reading the previous reviews I have realised we didn't receive our sides (Texas toast and Louisiana biscuit). It's such a pity - the food is decent, but the staff are so poorly trained. There is no way I could recommend it, or return myself.

Was missing half my order, waited 50 minutes for it to be re delivered only for it to be cold and greasy.. ending up in the bin. When I called for a Partial refund, I was constantly fobbed off to eventually be told… if I got them from the bin and took them back I would get a £2 refund that’s all he would offer me along with a lot of abuse with it. No customer skills what so ever. This is not the first problem I’ve encountered. Over priced, poor food, poor customer service. AVOID!! AVOID!!
