Shake Shack Lakeside in Thurrock

Service was great. No faults. Shop was clean and tidy. The food however was Absolutely awful! The burger cost 9.50p and the chips was nearly £4 for some what 25 pieces. The chicken burger was dark brown which clearly was burnt hence why it was rock solid. It was a small sized burger and I was very very disappointed. I will never be returning here. I was so annoyed that refused to finish it! Sorry guys. I’ll be dining somewhere else next time :-(

Very tasty burger, chicken strips and a custard Wakey Shakey, and vanilla ice cream. It’s quite expensive - the shake and ice cream are huge and very creamy. The smash burger was lovely- nice lettuce and cheese sauce - very salty. Quite small portion. My daughter had the chicken and it was a very small portion (she thought compared to one in London).

Do delivery drivers need a thermbag??? I saw how you gave the Just Eat driver food without a bag! we pay money, and the food arrives cold. NO BAG NO FOOD !!!!

Just got robbed £70 for 4 fast food meals

I recently visited Shake Shack and had a disappointing experience. The chicken burger was bland, basic, and didn’t taste fresh—probably because it was the end of the day, and it was obvious. I also ordered cheesy fries, but the cheese was so hard that it wouldn’t even pour over the fries. When I asked for a fresh serving, the worker initially refused and claimed it was supposed to be that way. After explaining that this wasn’t my first time ordering them, she admitted the machine had been off. Even after insisting for a fresh portion, the replacement was still clumpy and cold. Overall, it felt like a waste of money.

Very nice and hot food. Very tasty and freshly cooked. Well worth the wait about 10 mins. Could be pricey, £20 for lunch including a drink. Very impressed with the sauce dispenser, with cup and lids. Very clean place. Staff are friendly.

Underwhelming. Small portion sizes relative to the high prices. Would rather go to five guys next door and get more food for the same amount of money.

Rudest staff ever! I got covered (head to toe) in ketchup because of a faulty dispenser they did not even offered tissues until I asked for them, they stared and laughed. Manager said it was my fault and shouted at me.

This is not your typical fast food restaurant, the quality is high above the rest of them and this is reflected in the price which is more expensive than others but worth it for the quality.

Nice and the staff is too good and very friendly especially anusha service is too good. Comes to food is very tasty...

Disappointing experience shouted at by a person who claimed they are the owner never buying from this branch again, food was not good presentation of the food nor the taste was worth the money I paid. The owner is so unprofessional, sales must not be good for him to be working behind the till hence the frustration when given constructive criticism regarding the food. Would Not recommend anything from this place.

Crazy prices over £17 for a single burger curly fries and the cheapest drink. Prices are considerably higher than those posted on the menu above.

Staff seemed quite uninterested so I started to look at the access panel to order and had a peek at the TA reviews and decided against experimenting as they didn’t seem bothered!

Fairly busy as you would imagine in a shopping centre but plenty of seating in the general eatery section if you can't find inside the shop. Service is great, only chicken burger is halal. But I dream about those cheesy chips!! Choc milkshake is quite nice too

I recently ate at Shake Shack with my husband and 3-year-old during a shopping trip to Lakeside. Service was very slow considering that there was no queue, and then there was an item missing from our order. I was disappointed by how small the burgers were at a very high price point, and found them to be very average in terms of taste. Similarly, the milkshakes were small and surprisingly tasteless. I would not consider eating here again for this reason. During the fifteen minutes we were sitting eating, a member of staff had me and my daughter get out of our seats to sweep under the table. Whilst I appreciate the effort to keep the place clean, it seemed unnecessary to disrupt us whilst eating. Overall, I was disappointed by value for money, taste, and service, so wouldn't consider eating here again.

Just a glorified McDonald... Don't understand all the hype. Patty was too dry and crispy... Fries also not that good. Cheese dip didn't have flavour. And what's the deal with £3.90 FOR A SOFT DRINK?!!!

Lovely burger and fries. Took a little while to come out but guess that's because it's freshly made.

Meh on the burger, it was ok, but nothing special. The cheesy chips are chips with cheap cheese sauce. The best thing was the milk shake, but for 5.90 it should be good.

Card only No cash so I went to KFC next door

The burger was delicious, but really small for the money. The beer was pretty good. The lady was lovely but probably could do with re-training on how to pour a beer. The frozen custard is godly.

Came in with a decent sized group of 14. Lots of food and drink and was enough for us. Tasty as well.

Chips overcooked, cheese sauce in a tub not runny at all just like thick custard. Over charged, should have been £5.05 not £5.55 if you check the prices on their board. Glad I didn't spend more.

Thank you so much to the lovely Asian/Indian young lady who took my order last Saturday 18th November 2023 around lunch time. She was so pleasant and professional. The food was perfect too.

Just an average place but overpriced for what it is. MWe got cheesy chips which we didn't even finish. I went across to five guys to get some nice chips to go with these. The burger was nice, juicy and tasty, and the milkshake was good so that's why I've given 3*. However, together with the miserable staff who looked sad to have a job there and the average food, I wouldn't come again.

This was a great experience at Lakeside, food was great, everywhere was clean and staff were friendly. Last time I went to a shake shack was in NY, near times square, this was a quieter and better experience imo. 👍

My wife and I love shake shack and go there everytime we are at Lakeside, we had it today at lunch time and have both been stuck on the toilet all afternoon and been sick. Its the only thing we have eaten today, so the only thing that could have caused it.

Really enjoyed the chicken shack, the only halal option available here. Food was great and the shakes were even better. Food did take a while to come out, we ordered using the self ordering service.

Would have been five stars but the waiting time was long! Had the Buffalo chicken burger, the coconut Mango lemonade and a great dessert! Chicken is halal which is always a win!

We went to have a quick lunch! Ordered most things from their new chilli crisp range. Their chicken burger and chicken dips are halal. I liked the cookies & cream shake and my chicken burger! It is a little expensive though.

Unfortunately my experience is not the first time. I love their frozen custard but it is very inconsistent with the quality and texture. In 5 times I ordered 3 times was just frozen ice cristal instead of the creamy ice cream.Very disappointed.

Shake Shack is a fast-casual restaurant chain that specialises in burgers, hot dogs, fries, & milkshakes. My order was as the below: ShackBurger - Cheeseburger with lettuce, tomato & ShackSauce. Chicken Shack - Crispy chicken breast with lettuce, pickles & buttermilk herb mayo (Best Seller). Fries - Crispy, crunchy, salty potato-y goodness. Both burgers had a classic Americana aesthetic. They were both tasty, with noticeable high-quality ingredients; especially the meat, this really was the main enticement of each burger. The fires weren't anything special & were quite basic tasting, with a fairly small portion size. On a whole, would I say Shake Shack is better then Five Guys? Probably not, but would I recommend you trying this for yourself, absolutely.

£15 for two watery milkshakes that took 20 mins to make when it was dead… slow and miserable staff

Waited over 10mins as I've order on the ipad on store. But the worst thing was 3 people that order after got the orders 1st （a family of 3 and 1 couple) but that wasn't the worst of it saw my burger sitting there wait to be packed for 6mins. Plus cold chips 1st and last time

The food here is absolutely brilliant it's an american burger chain I believe much better than most of the others the quality of the food ingredients and the flavour are simply divine

Love this eating place on the top floor Lakeside. Food is so tasty and cooked to order, you can see it been cooked, if you dont want chips they do a lovely mixed vegtables. Always hot and very tasty, staff are very helpful and polite, they keep all areas clesn. Priced well.

Bought 3 burgers, ShackBurger, SmokeShack and Shack stack. We also order 2 fries. The burger was really good however its quite small. It's kinda the size of a McDonalds fish burger but filled with stuff... The fries tasted good too, even without dipping sauce. The price however is expensive for the size of the burger. We paid around £41 for everything including drinks which is quite a lot for what portion we were given.

The burger was to die for. I had the Shackmeister double. Probably the best burger I've had in the UK. The fresh lemonade was very refreshing, too.

Love the burgers but the truth is they are too small and too expensive. Just for Tina ,it was 2 x burgers,2 x fries and 2 drinks for £33.00

Visited today with my wife, we usually come here as a treat when we visit lakeside every couple months or so. Anyway, never had an issue before, ordered as normal, wife had the chicken burger and I had the double shackmeister, began eating, on my third bite of my cheese burger whilst chewing I bit down on something ridiculously hard almost shattering my tooth or TEETH and spat out what was a sharp flat BONE, yes a BONE. What is a bone doing in a beef burger patty? I was astonished. Anyway I spoke to the manager who confirmed to me it was a bone and didn't look too surprised which was rather worrying. I placed the bone in his hand although reluctantly. He refunded my burger of course but I don't think I'll ever be visiting a shake shack again unfortunately.

I really enjoy coming to Shake Shack. The food is amazing, the cheese fries are gorgeous. I always tend to go for the ShakeBurger and the wife and I always share a milkshake. We don't come here often, because it's not too close to us, but we planned coming here in advance for 3 weeks. It was worth the wait. The seating area was very clean, the self order machines weren't working, but that's not a problem. The server was very polite and patient with us and she didn't mind when we made a slight adjustment at the end.

Very pleasantly surprised by this place. It's not cheap (burger, fries, and a drink runs nearly £20) but it's worth the money! The burgers are small, but perfectly cooked and full of flavour, the fries are crispy, and the milkshakes are basically a decadent pudding. Would take the kids here because it'd cost a fortune, but when I'm on my own I'll aim here for a treat.

Popped to Shake Shack in lakeside as been told it was a must go. Person serving me was rude as hell even though I told her I was a first timer. Eventually ordeeed a cheese and bacon burger, regular fries and milkshake. £18.95!!!!!!!!! For a lunch time fast food meal- burger was appalling and noticed was give. Fries that had been sitting under a heat lamp for over 20 minutes. Food was not fresh. I will never ever return.

Based in the food section alongside 15 to 20 other restaurants on the top floor at Lakeside.Convenient for a quick bite.Shake Shack has about 7 - 10 tables & can sit about 30 to 40 people. Though a rather busy afternoon ,we were fortunate to get a table,but the table was not very clean.Not enough staff to clear tables.The food was ready at a reasonable time. They have a name order system as opposed to a number system. So when your order is ready they call your name out.Crinkle chips and creamy milkshake was okay.The Skake Shack looks funky & lit when walking past iy however I was just a little underwhelmed..

Expensive and underwhelming Fries and burgers sold separately so you can jack the price up? Cheese is a fake cheese sauce, not proper cheese Portions are small considering how much they cost I doubt we would return as 3 meals and drinks hit us for £50… not what I’d expect to pay for a burger. Staff were good, place was clean, no complaints there.

Love Shake Shack burgers, always recommend the Shackmeister with the amazing crispy shallots. Just wish we had Shake Shack near Glasgow!

paid almost 6 pounds for a large milkshake it was way to sweet and i have an extremely sweet tooth so thats saying something anyway when i got my large shake it was tiny it was about half the size of a large mcdonalds cup and it wasnt all that i make better milshakes at home dont like to put businesses down but for the size of it and how much it cost it was a rip off and i only drank half cos it wasnt that nice it wasnt horrible but i wouldnt ever buy another milkshake from there lol but it was fast service by the staff
