Five Guys in Thurrock

The most I've ever paid to have 5 guys in my mouth!

Really disappointed. The bacon cheese burger tasted great, however I ordered Cajun fries and when I got back to my car I realised I had received normal fries which sounds like a trivial issue, but it's why I picked FG over Burger king. The drink machine was also poor. I chose a coke with vanilla and when I tried it in my car it tasted really disgusting, no fizz in the drink so I'm guessing there was an issue with the machine. I would have returned to complain but I was already sat in my car and needed to head onto my next job. Like I said, the burger was great but getting the fries order wrong and the poor quality of drink has put me off from returning, especially when I've paid twice the cost of burger king a few units down.

I will never understand why this place Uses peanut oil for the fries makes absolutely no sense of after all the data shows how bad it is for you...use the fat from the beef burgers up your level or you'll lose out eventually..mark my words

Burgers were out of this world delicious. Fries were decent. Removed a star for the fact that it is expensive.

Eat-in. bacon cheeseburgers and fries were barely warm when served. The cheese slices weren't even melted.

I have been Saturday in lakeside five guys, I have received the best customer service from the guy with the tattoo on his hand. The food was lovely 🥰, definitely I will be back. 5 Starts for the guy with the tattoo on his arm :))

Im still gutted they stopped the malted milk shake, salted caramel is not even close to the same

It's five guys. Ok the location doesn't allow for a great atmosphere but the food and service was good. Just a bit cramped to get get around one or two tables too many.

It's not cheap but without doubt the best burgers around!

Gone down hill . Not half a good as the 1 in Bluewater , but havnt been there in a while , shape up or ship out

Server was not helpful and felt like i was a bother to them. Food was poor, chips were horrid. It did not live up to the hype of what people told me, won't be coming back

Standard Five Guys meal you get at all Five Guys. This is in Lakeside so is noisy but good service and surrounded by other restaurants

Customer service was second to none! The manager and the team handled our £300+ order for our charity with ease and checked in with us 3 times to see if we was ok and needed anything else. Highly highly recommended!

I just ordered trough uber eats. Food came late, cold, chips looks like they're made from plastic, no taste at all. I paid for delivery with priority, it took ages to come and it's not the driver fault it's five guys fault. Horrible experience, I would advice you not to visit them. 👎

Arrived at 8.54pm and was told by the member of staff on the till that the two people in front of me were the last people she was serving. So when they say it’s open until 9pm they are lying. Kitchen was still clearly cooking food. Exceptionally poor customer service. EDIT - 5 July 2023: After completing the feedback form someone got back to me to explain that Lakeside security asked Five Guys to not serve any more customers after 8.55pm. I was there one minute before that so not sure why I was not served. But I have been offered a free meal so that was much appreciated. Anyway, I think they need to revise the time of closure to say 8.50pm (or make a note that they may not be able to serve you in the last 10 minutes of the day if this is a regular occurrence).

I used to be a regular customer at 5 guys and had previously enjoyed their food and was really tasty. However, during my most recent visit, I was disappointed by the quality of the burger . It wasn't as good as it used to be.

Taking the atmosphere into account it reduces the rating by a star. The only thing I don't like about some five guys restaurants is that the toilets are so close to the eating area/open kitchen. The food is great but the milkshakes are either great, or too thick. Ps: make sure you get your free peanuts

Absolute GOAT burger. Its hands down my favourite place too eat, the burgers are freshly made and always hot. The chips are amazing. We had the reeses thick milkshake which was amazing. Everywhere where we visit that has a 5 guys we always go in and have it. The cleanliness of this restaurant was very good and too a high standard

Always love a Five Guys burger! Still mixing up the toppings each time but raw onions and jalapeños are always a staple. And who doesn't love free refills in the UK?! UPDATE!!! Wrong toppings AGAIN!!!! I really need to check the order receipt when they give it to me. Still a tasty burger so all is not bad.

Burgers are better than most and I do like the fries. However the price is to high and it's still a burger in a bag. Let's move on from the 50s burger bar please!

We had our lazy Saturday night out and we decided to go for some good and juicy burgers and we choose this lovely place and it was worth it! Really energetic team to be honest, I wasn't expecting this but on a very good and pleasant way! BTW (the Playlist was on tone with the place) I will be certainly coming back!

Standard five guys, really. Food is decent but overpriced, and staff (no fault of them) are always rushing around, but they're not rude. Being placed in a food court obviously makes it very busy and noisy.

Burgers were good as were the fries. Service and cleanliness needs improvement..

Worst value for money!!! The amount of onions in my burger was insulting. The amount of jalapeños was even more disappointing!!! If I ever go to Five Guys again, I will be showing these pictures with the hope of an improved service. 2 burgers, 1 reg fries and 2 milkshakes for £37 with that experience is a one-off for me!

The food tasted great but was luke warm when i received it, also me along with the four other customers before me had their orders messed up, I had three things in my order and all three were wrong including giving me a milkshake with peanut in it to which I am allergic, also when I enquired about my burger not being what I ordered I was given the ingredients seperately to correct the mistake myself. Not the level of service I expected from such a large restaurant chain. Very disappointed.

Update: Response from five guys is rubbish. Response to accusations of reduced size burgers is no, we just cook them terribly. Don't worry, I won't waste my time in future and you've lost one of your biggest advocates, always insisting people give you a try rather than shake shack and the like! Have frequented five guys lakeside a couple of times a month since it opened and visited other five guys in the uk and around the world countless times, but my wife and I have never had such a bad burger as the ones this afternoon. The beef patty in our burgers was so small and thin, it was like the regular five guys patty has been cut in half to make two burgers... they were so thin, they were so thin they has been reduced to flavourless crispy slithers. Not sure what has happened to this place, but if this is a deliberate change to the size/quality of the burgers due to cost... I am done with the place. I did complain to lady at the counter, but she just tried fobbing me off claiming they had been squashed a bit too much when cooking... but if that was the case the patty would not have been so tiny it was not visible in the bun when I unwrapped.

Wasn't bad, shake was nice, however I honestly think the burger was highly overated, not bad just no mouth watering reminiscing about it.

Service was quick the burger was full of flavour, and it's nice you can choose the toppings for the burger, the fries were perfect, not dry and fluffy on the inside, with a little bit of skin still on. I had the bacon and cheese burger.

The burger was over cooked and dry , the chips were over cooked and burnt they had no salt for the chips with out a doubt the worst five guys I’ve ever been to

The food here was really nice, I had a hotdog my partner had a cheese burger and we shared fries. We shared a £5 milkshake too which was really thick. Staff were friendly too.

Very limited options for people with nut allergys

I had a Burger, SMALL Fries and a Cholate milk shake which came to £16.10!!!! You have to order the burger, then read from a list of what free toppings you would like in your burger. The food was quick to arrive, but the place was almost empty, Now I know why. For a small portion of chips, well, there was enough for 3 people!!! Why not do an extra small portion, and reduce the price, but no they wont do that because they want to charge £3.15, and they don't care if you ending up chucking over half in the bin! I hate food waste, but if you think i could eat those as one portion!!!!! The burger was very nice, as were the toppings id ordered, but because it was tightly wrapped in foil, the whole thing was a soggy mess. I was surprised at the size if the burger, being very small, but as you eat it, it does fill you up. Very nice flavour, but to be honest, I think a whopper from burger king is so much nicer, as they are never soggy, And at over half the price, much better value. Also, the seating is the most uncomfortable, benches I have ever sat at. Probably on purpose, so you eat up and go. So I have decided I wont be going back, mainly because of the ridiculous overpricing, and lousy portion control, next time, I will go back to burger king. .

We went to five guys after a long time. All of us ordered burgers and it was such a disappointment. It had almost no seasoning and was extremely bland. The hotdogs and milkshake was good. One star as they charge through the nose so I expect great tasting food. I don't know if it a one off and they forgot seasoning and sauces.

So the price first of all don't match to the quality. I've been to many burger places and just didn't tick the box. The only thing is the food is served quickly and give you more than enough chips. I could of got one portion of chips as opposed to two to share with my girlfriend as they were very generous with the chips. Chips are nice but a little salty. Burgers were average lacked flavour to me but due to being of carribean heritage we tend to like flavour. Milkshake was standard nothing special . First and last time but for me but to pay £34 for two Burgers,x2 chips and two drinks was not worthit one bit.

Went here for a special occasion. And have mixed feelings about the place. Obviously much more expensive then say McDonald's. So I was expecting alot.service was fast. But just given to you in bags rather then a tray if your eating in. I had alot of fries.and I mean alot.which I liked.the milkshake was very nice.but my burger was the disappointment. Yes it was big and had lots of fillings.but for me lacked flavour. For the price I was expecting alot more. So if this is your kind of thing then great.but for me would I swap this for a McDonald's. No.but they are different animals. Pardon the pun.
