Unusual dishes and great vegetarian and vegan options.Waiting staff were friendly and knowledgeable.Not rushed , everything arrived hot and fresh.Nice open kitchen.. Not really a fan of the decor,a bit industrial. Good that it's dog friendly. Very busy at lunchtime and glad we booked

Advertised as keeping faithful to what made The Tiger so popular when it reopened, same chef etc, but sadly it was more like the new owners previous Goldsborough pub but in a new location. OK, but just not as good. Steak and Ale Pie especially was disappointing as were the accompanying vegetables. A few chips in a little metal basket is never what you want to see!

Edit: and responce to your appallingly rude and unprofessional responses: Hello owner. Your restaurant is just not worth the money. I changed my review to a lower rating because some time after I posted my original review I opened Google maps and read how awfully you responded to me and took zero responsibility for the way things are at your restaurant. Your aggressive and rude behaviour shows clearly through your words and reflects everything I have described in my original review and what some of your staff is like in your restaurant. Laughable. Get a grip and learn to Learn from feedback rather than accuse the customer for being made to feel ripped off by You. Franky, if a customer feels a certain way, they don't owe you any explanation? I decide to spend my money in your restaurant, I'm allowed to leave you a review based on how you made me feel and what you served me in your premises. If you can't provide a good service or take a good look at yourself and your staff, than that's all on you. Original review: Would not recommend, food was good but the waitress who took our order and appeared to be in charge was rude to us and other guests who were walking in, she practically shouted at them that their party of 12 better be 12 and not 14 as they have not got the space for 14 and also shouted at them to shut the front door as it's too windy.. All that could have been said in much different way seeing as they are about to drop a big amount of money on their meals. Not very knowledgeable about the food served either. My partner ordered veal and she asked whether he wanted it rear or well done and he said rear, minutes later the chef then came out the kitchen to ask her why the veal is marked as rear as he can't make it rear if it's so thin. It was a very uncomfortable experience altogether. Also there appeared to be far too many waiting and bar staff behind a tiny bar. Could do with some customer service training and less staff really. The roasted potatoes were really good, but the tomato sauce too sweet and not reduced enough. Overall not great really. Quite sad for a small "family run" business.

Two evening meals over two night and they were excellent. The staff were very friendly and the food was fantastic. Thoroughly recommend this pub.

Tom and his team looked after our family extremely well. We would highly recommend using this venue if you are organising a small event/gathering. The service was brilliant alongside the food selection and range of drinks.

We had Sunday lunch at The Queens head and it was excellent. Brilliant service. The best gravy I have ever tasted and good quality veg and meat. Will definitely go again and highly recommend

Visited with friends for afternoon tea. The service was amazing, food excellent, and the surroundings just beautiful. We had a little walk around the gardens, and the owners were so polite and chatty, definitely recommend

No puede faltar la comida en sí, pero hemos encontrado un pelo en nuestra comida en 2 ocasiones diferentes. Al ver la calificación de higiene alimentaria en línea, esto es solo 3. Ciertamente me deja atrás volver. Es una lástima que la comida sea sabrosa, pero cuando encuentras un cabello, te deja fuera de toda la comida. ¡Súplica al restaurante... por favor haga que sus chefs usen redes para el cabello!

Good service. Great beer. Bring your takeaway food and eat out in beer garden. No food served apart from pork pies, crisps etc
