Farm Bistro in Harrogate

We loved this restaurant. A fantastic range of extremely tasty food; really lovely wine (his recommendation was perfect and very good value), a great ambience inside and extremely welcoming and friendly staff. Really tasty food - every dish was delicious and well balanced. 10/10 would be a great place for anything from a date night to a girls dinner to, as we did, a family catch up. Wishing all the best to the lovely owner!

Absolutely delicious food, had the prawn and avocado sandwich with skinny fries, which was lush. Attentive friendly waiting on staff. Dog friendly too… will definitely be coming back!!!

We have had breakfast here a few times and every time we really enjoyed the food and the ambiance. As they are now open on a Friday & Saturday evening we have it a try. Along with our dog we had an exceptional meal and the staff and owners are just lovely charming people who made us feel so welcome and nothing was to much trouble. Can highly recommend the Goat curry for something different. Great choice of dishes on the main menu and a good selection of specials all cooked freshly by the excellent chef. A lovely experience and we will certainly be back in an evening.

Highly recommend. This restaurant is cosy, intimate and very friendly. Staff are very welcoming. The food was some of the best Italian cooking I've ever tasted (The Arancini starter is absolutely superb). Very much a family atmosphere. Will definitely be returning!

Decided last minute to grab some lunch. Found this absolute gem. Did wonder going up the stairs to the first floor where it is and entered this. Dry “quirky” but spacious eatery. Ordered tuna sandwich which was beautifully made with Ciabatta. Served with a lot of filling, along with home made fat chips. Was extremely tastefully served and was lovely. I hate anywhere where service is poor and I have to wait. This was the opposite. They were quick and attentive, but not intrusive. Apparently they are now opening on a Friday and Saturday evening. Well I’m definitely booking and going back. I always worry about advertising a gem such as this, but if we don’t use them, we lose them so I suggest if in Harrogate give it a run.

Stunning. We came (again) for Sunday breakfast and it never disappoints. Great quality ingredients, well made and beautifully presented. Very tasty in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere, watching the Harrogate world go by. Great value for money too. Well recommended in an area where there’s lots of competition.

Love the decor and ambience of the place and food was excellent. Service was a bit slow and unlike all the other tables we were not told/shown the specials board so we ordered from the main menu (didn’t realise there were specials). As it was a birthday celebration I was a bit disappointed about that. Can’t fault the atmosphere, the food and good value though.

My friend and I both had the chicken breast in lemon sauce , accompanied by roast potatoes and vegetables . For afters I had Antiguan Rum Cake ……..delicious . The Quirky Bistro is something quite unusual …… a fusion of Italian and Caribbean reflecting the origins of the owners , and other dishes in between ! The decor , which they inherited from the previous owners , is very definitely quirky , there’s nowhere quite like it in Harrogate ! You will be assured of a friendly welcome and good wholesome food .

Definitely a quirky 5 out of 5, thank you! Had lunch here as a couple. The beef bourguignon with mushrooms and olives was simply delicious. The accompanying vegetables were cooked to perfection. Absolutely brilliant food and service 👌 You need to look hard to find this place, which is just a door way, between two other businesses located in Harrogate. This is a very quirky restaurant as you will see if you visit, with all the details and items that decorate the interior. The service was excellent, very attentive, and the food exceptional. My wife and I enjoyed a great three-course dinner at the Quirky Farm Bistro. The menu is extensive, we were spoilt for choice. We especially liked the seafood/fish dishes. The staff were exceptionally friendly without being intrusive. We are looking forward to returning soon :-)

We visited Quirky Farm Bistro for breakfast on a weekend away. The service was excellent, the food very tasty- freshly cooked and presented beautifully. My partner had the full breakfast and I had eggs Benedict. It was so tasty- the paprika hollandaise adding that little extra. We enjoyed it so much that we went back the next day as we both knew we'd have another great breakfast. Would definitely recommend and if we head back to Harrogate again, we know where we'll be having breakfast.

Quirky does specialty loose leaf tea. I had the earl grey and it was wonderful. The tomato soup starter came with some crusty bread which was nice. Wonderful flavor. The main was well presented and full of flavor. The roasted potatoes had a nice crunch. The vegetables were cooked beautifully. Service was quick and prompt. Will definitely be returning.

Just go! Fabrizio, Liz and their amazing chef Leonardo get it all right! Harrowgate is lucky to have such a place. We tried the Princess Haddock and the Chef’s Shrimp Risotto. We wish we had room for the pink Nutella crepes! Or come for breakfast to try the eggs benny. Next time!

A spur of the moment decision to have lunch in town, so we ambled up the wooden stairs to this glorious bistro. A lovely warm welcome awaited us, and we were seated in the window. The service was brilliant, & I have to say the food was absolutely gorgeous. I had one of the specials which I think was called chicken parmigiana, with came with a gorgeous spaghetti in a wonderful tomatoes sauce. The melted cheese was just lovely, and very good portion size. I was desperate to clear my plate as it was so delicious, but sadly left had to leave a little of the pasta. It’s quite tucked away, you have to know it’s there, but once you find it you will return. We certainly will.

We stopped by after reading the great reviews and were not disappointed. We had a lovely breakfast, beautifully presented with pot of tea and coffee. The service was brilliant and had a lovely chat with the owner. Will definitely be back when we next visit Harrogate.

We had a wedding party here on 25.11 and it was absolutely perfect. The planning was easy, and they were really amenable to my dietary requirement (gluten free) doing a lovely menu for us. Fabritzio and Lise were especially helpful when we realised on the night that two of our guests don't eat beef (we had chosen the same starter for everyone), they helped by making up a great beef-free dish really quickly. The whole evening was really reasonably priced (unlike other venues) and we are really happy with what we got and that we spent our money here. For anyone seeking a venue that goes above and beyond, quirky farm bistro is the place to go. They helped make an unforgettable celebration which shows their expertise and dedication, ensuring that every event becomes a cherished memory for a lifetime.I would recommend this place to anyone, its a must go! I have also recommended quirky farm bistro to several friends who have all loved it. I can't recommend this place highly enough!

Great little restaurant in Harrogate City centre, fantastic food and very very attentive owner who explained about any of the foods we asked about on the menu will definitely be back next time we visit.

Came here for lunch on a Wednesday after another “you decide where to eat” tennis match with my boyfriend and we were so glad to have come here. From outside you don’t see/expect much but once you go upstairs it really is a quirky bistro! The host/waiter was really friendly and though there was a middle table available he offered us the option of a window table that he quickly prepared and we were seated quickly. We ordered the arancini starter which is the BEST bolognese sauce I’ve ever had, the burger which was balanced well with the onions, and the tuna ciabatta which was very generous with the tuna! The arancini starter was my favourite and the chunky chips were fluffy but crisp. We’ll definitely be back if we’re ever in Harrogate again!

We followed the other reviews to find this place and so glad we did. English food with Italian agility. Lovely warm welcome from staff. We had eggs royals which is as good I’ve ever experienced and the fussy missus (of a catering background) was made up with a perfect omelette to her “well done” request. We will be heading straight beck when next in Harrogate

Well worth a visit. Great little bistro with amazing food. The service is excellent and the food was superb. I had breakfast omelette and my daughter had pink Nutella crepes. Fabulous. Recommend 100%. Also nice little quirky touches add to the ambience.

Had a nice meal here out with my family for my Mum's birthday. Everyone enjoyed their meals. Unfortunately I had to send my halloumi salad back, the halloumi tasted old, almost gone off, and some of the salad leaves had gone off. Should've been checked before it went out. I sent it back and it came back and was fine. I think the only other feedback was that the eggs Benedict could've had more sauce. The host seemed very nice and attentive. Only one bathroom here, so there was always a bit of a queue for it!

Not been here for a few years and we understood it was under new ownership / management. We had a few Saturday morning errands to run so decided to treat ourselves to a breakfast nosebag. We found this lovely bistro quite by chance and were very glad we did. A lovely interesting and quirky venue with delightful food. We had lemon chicken and pork tenderloin followed by apple pie and blueberry bread and butter pudding, all of which were very flavourful. The prices were very reasonable and the portoin size was good.The owners Fabrizio and Lisa were very friendly and attentive , we will certainly return now that we have discovered the Quirky Farm Bistro.

Fabrizio and Lisa welcomed my partner and I, on our arrival. They were very polite, friendly and caring. Their Restaurant is very unique, cute and beautiful. The atmosphere, the food, and the desserts were all full of love, taste, and joy. We definitely go there again soon. THIS IS A MUST GO PLACE AND IT DEFINITELY DESERVES A BIG FIVE STAR. THANK YOU.

Booked lunch at the Quirky Farm Bistro after coming across it on Tripadvisor. It was everything we hoped it would be. The bistro is upstairs.. which would be difficult for those with poor mobility I guess. From entering the doorway the ecclectic decor and attention to detail is wonderful and inviting.. it gets better as you ascend up to the dining area. Stunning, ambient and relaxing. We ordered a breakfast, garlic shrimp with chunky chips, followed by apple pie. Disappointed that their famous blueberry pudding wasn't available (will have it next time). The service was friendly and on point. The food despite sounding basic was cooked to perfection and presented immaculately and tasted devine. I forgot to mention the rum punch mmm.. deeeelicious. Very expensive for what you get, we ordered two breakfasts and two drinks and it came to £30. We was a little shocked to see the breakfast when they put it down on the table, nearly one of everything. One mushroom, half a tomato and One sausage, one slice of bread. And about Two tea spoons of beans in a pot. See picture. Definitely won’t be returning.

We came mid afternoon on a Sunday. Very friendly lady showed us to our table, she was lovely. Menu had different offerings to the usual which makes a pleasant change. I was a bit spoilt for choice but went for breaded chicken covered in a tomato sauce and melted mozzarella, this came with spaghetti in tomato sauce. It was a generous portion and very pleasant indeed. All of the food was very reasonably priced. The whole atmosphere was warm and friendly, we liked it.

I found my happy place. We stumbled across this gem completely by chance and we are so happy we did. The service from the woman who we assume is the owner, was friendly and unobtrusive. The food (quirky breakfast and eggs benedict) was gorgeous. The timer with the loose leaf tea was an added novelty and very much enjoyed. The owners little dog is such a little cutie who my husband made friends with. We were only in Harrogate for the night and this was one of our favourite parts, singing praises all the way home. We visited this fabulous bistro on a Saturday afternoon and can highly recommend this wonderful eatery! It is run by a genuinely lovely couple who clearly care about providing friendly service and go above and beyond. We had eggs Benedict and one of the daily specials both of which were outstanding, one of the best lunches I’ve had!! We loved the vibe and feel and got a cuddle with their resident pup who was just adorable. We’ll be visiting again soon. A⭐️⭐️

Owned by a lovely Italian couple, it has a good variety of food and for us a good selection of veggie choices. The quirky burger and quirky breakfast are very filling. If you want to spice up your coffee, you can have it with Baileys amongst other things.

You know when you're not particularly looking for something, and then you stumble across a little gem of a place? Quirky Farm Bistro is that little gem. If you blink, you'll miss it, as the entrance is tucked between a butchers and a shop. Even as you walk up the stairs, you know this place has a certain vibe to it. It's confident in its uniqueness, from its decor to its menu. The staff are friendly and put you at ease straight away, there's no hovering around or trying to rush you. I chose the blackened fish with rice and veg, my partner had the steak and chips. Both meals were delicious, probably one of the best fish dishes I have had. I loved the timer that came with the tea, so you could choose what strength you wanted it, and the latte was smooth. The price of the food was ridiculously cheap, especially when you consider the costs incurred to run a bistro. Most people go to Harrogate to visit Betty's Tea Rooms, which is fine. But if you fancy something a bit different, and great value for money, give this place a try, you won't regret it.

We found this place via Tripadvisor as it’s not somewhere you’d really stumble upon. It’s on a corner, upstairs so you have to know it’s there. But definitely worth searching out. Service was very personal and friendly. The menu choices were interesting and different. We had deep fried fish and arancini, plus mushrooms in cream with toast. All of it was delicious. The arancini had peas in which not everyone likes but I enjoyed it. The bolognese sauce that the arancini was in was the best bit of the whole meal. So tasty. Quirky decor and a friendly vibe made the whole place enjoyable. Highly recommended.

Firstly, what a lovely little place. Very easy to miss, and I was looking for it specifically. It is above the butcher's, the doorway is between that and another shop which faces out onto the main road. The host who I assume was the owner was lovely a lovely gentleman who obviously has pride in his little bistro. We ordered eggs Benedict X2 and 2 teas. The tea came out as loose leaf in cute little ornate teapots with 3 sand times in a rack, with timings for weak, normal and strong. Never seen them before, again thought it was an interesting touch. Food came out and was beautifully presented, cooked to perfection and tasted wonderful. The host asked if we would like black pepper and seasoned our food for us. The place itself is cozy and has interesting attire all round to look at, and views over the main street if you like people watching. When it came time to pay we payed by card but we're not given the chance to tip the host, and we weren't carrying cash so had no way to leave a tip which I feel awful about. So I am making sure I leave this review instead as a thank you for the great hospitality. This place is an absolute little hidden gem Harrogate. Don't miss out.

Lovely service, great space with wide windows and fun decor. Had the lunch arancini and they were fantastic. Partner has saltfish fritters that came with an absolutely fantastic mango chilli dip sauce. That stuff was incredibly moreish. Thanks for a warm welcome and tasty lunch.

Me and my partner come here all the time for not only the amazing ambience and fun decor, but for what I would say, is the best food in Harrogate! If you are a big fan of fun flavour combinations, brunch, and fantastic service, you will not be disappointed! The owner is the loveliest guy and is always friendly and accommodating to your every need, you will feel very looked after here. There are also great vegan options that are not at all lacking in taste like you would find in chains. If I could give more than 5 stars I would!!

This is both my and my partner's go-to establishment for breakfast or lunch when we'd like to go into town for the day. By far the best tasting food in Harrogate for both vegans and non-vegans, wonderful atmosphere and very very attentive staff who really care about their customers.
