We called in for a late lunch and were lucky enough to get a table straight away. There was a warm welcoming atmosphere and staff were friendly and efficient. We ordered a selection of tapas which were all excellent and portion sizes were just right. Good value for money and would highly recommend.
We waited 55 minutes for our food despite the restaurant not being that busy and having no warning about any delay. The food itself (when it eventually arrived) was tasty but the service was really bad, with no one interested in taking our order or checking on us at any point.
This was topped off by a bizarre interaction with the waiter when I ordered a bottle of Peroni, who tried to make me change my order to an Efes. I get it, it's a Turkish beer and a nice one, I just happen to prefer Peroni. It then arrived pre-poured in a half-pint glass and there was no sign of the rest of my 330ml bottle, which we were charged for in full. Luckily, I was spared the embarrassment a second time because no one ever came back to offer me another drink when I finished it.
We could have just come on a bad day, other reviews are largely positive, but we didn't get more than a cursory apology or even a thank you and goodbye when we left. Overall, this was some of the worst service I've ever had eating out.
My daughter has a holiday home on maustin park. I came down for my first look at the holiday home and decided to have a meal in the stables. The bar and restuarant was lovely, the staff were so friendly towards me and the food its self was amazing. I would recommend the stables to everyone. Thankyou for the great night.
Excellent for Sunday lunch! Went after a walk at Eccup. Had the Chicken wings (very saucy) and beef main! Good food (tonnes of food) and fantastic service!
My husband has lots of restrictions on his diet and the staff at the Yorkshire Tea Rooms were just so helpful! We went with a friend and he and my husband both had omelettes - whilst I had a ciabatta with mediterranean vegetables. All were delicious and our friend actually said his mushroom omelette was the best he could remember having! All were accompanied by a lovely fresh salad. I can't fault the food or the service. Lovely 'home made' food - we'll be back!
Cocoa Joe's is an absolute treat, and we wish we had one closer to home. It was a warm day, so my husband and I both had an iced drink and both were absolutely gorgeous. Staff are friendly and the prices are reasonable for such good quality and tasty drinks. We also bought a little bag of white chocolate buttons which are also divine. It's a shame we didn't get to try the hot chocolate as they're closed Wednesdays unfortunately, but perhaps we'll order a bag from their website to make our own at home, as their chocolate really is delicious.
Just wonderful, walked in to a busy coffee shop with great service and coffee. Stayed for a while whilst doing emails and waiting for a friend. Just a great experience
Cannot recommend Where there’s Smoke highly enough. Beautiful place, fabulous food but not at all pretentious. The team were great, informative and interested in your experience. Really glad that we are close enough to visit again!

Went for mothers day. A big group of us with x3 children.Special menu for the day was lovely and so reasonably priced
All food cooked perfectly. Kids had pizzas and enjoyed. The manager and staff were so welcoming and chatty
Our previous favourite tea shop has changed hands so tried this cafe. Very good quality but rather on the pricey side and a little too cramped and noisy for a quiet chat! . However as we were delighted to see that the assistant, after stroking a dog, immediately washed her hands - we will definitely visit again. A good find!
What a fabulous little spot for brunch! Fresh and smooth coffee, perfectly brewed tea and delicious food! Short stack of pancakes was amazing. Super fluffy and light. Will def be back!
Really lovely place, very relaxed atmosphere. We bought pumpkins and carved them there then went for a little walk round the woodland trail. Nice little cafe - the pumpkin pie was a big hit - and the shop sells lots of nice little gifts etc. The plants in the garden centre looked great, although we didn’t buy any so can’t really comment further. Would definitely go back again - it’s a great community resource too.
