The best restaurants serving Indian food in Harrogate Yorkshire and The Humber

Chose this place due to the different curries available, something we don't get where we live. Food was amazing, tastes and smells that excited your senses. Such a different selection that you don't normally find. The staff explained where the dishes came from and how they were made. Not huge selection to chose from but enough, which personally I find better. The best curry I think we've tasted. We will be back on our next visit to Harrogate

fantastic food book or never get a table

The manager was very friendly but the waiting staff was a bit uninterested. The food was good and the general impression was good. I would go back but would try somewhere different before deciding this to be my go-to.

The best Indian food that I have experienced in my 18 years in Yorkshire. The Chicken Naga is the best dish I have ever had and the varki was beautiful too Everything was so flavourful and fresh. My new go to takeaway. Thank you guys 👌 Terry.

Terrible service unfriendly staff, waited 30minutes for our starter and staff annoyed when we questioned this. Food was average, I would expect after many years of eating Indian food that onions in any dish would be well cooked. Our starter and my main dish (chicken shashlick) the onions were raw, very disappointing. We will not be back

Now Jaflong run by the owner Ivey and his team, every dish is freshly prepared and each dish prepared carefully and worth the wait. Light as air naan breads, melt in the mouth mutton. Unbelievable value for money too and byob. Great weekday offers including " Staff curry night" for £9.95 and 5 courses for £10.

This place is a diamond in the rough. The staff are so friendly and welcoming, the food is amazing and the atmosphere is great. Don't know what you like, ask the staff. Their knowledge of the food is spot on. I've tried dishes I would never have thought of if ordering by myself. I can't rate this place high enough! Just superb.

Had a table for 2 on a Friday night, only 2 other tables had customers and they appeared to be waiting for food. The guy that showed us to the table went into the kitchen and we didn't see him again, there was a young lad at the desk who seemed clueless, we weren't offered drinks and it took ages to even just get a menu and the other 2 tables were still waiting for food. So we walked out and went across the road to Jinnah's which was fantastic. Don't waist your time here.

Brought a mate here last week(Sept 2023)for a meal on a Friday night and it was Delicious we had a sizzler starter to share, a main course and rice each,and one naan bread,My Chicken Madras was Amazing! Used to eat here many years ago when it was The Spice Merchant.Nice decor and lighting too.
