Lovely experience at Jaflong. The restaurant is petite but it feels very fitting and there’s a sense of cultural connection. The food is lovely and flavoursome and the staff are very friendly. I would definitely recommend a visit.

First time takeaway from here - arrive on time - really delicious food I appreciated knowing what was GF on the menu when ordering too Really tender chicken and bhajis the best I’ve ever had! Will defo recommend and order again

Ordered at 6pm through the website. It's now 8.30pm and we've just got the wrong order. Had to cancel. Apparently, it's an issue with their ordering process and also tried to blame the delivery man.

My samosas tiny and not much to them. My jalfraza tasteless and full of cabbage. Rice portion is small. Nan very good. Prices very good and staff attentive.

2nd visit to Jaflong - food still top quality and service was prompt amd friendly.

Pleasant night out with friends. Early bird menu was very good. The Hydrabadi was delicious with various spices.

Average curry. It's disappointing as very little meat in it I wouldn't go back.

Best curry I've had in ages. My chicken Dupiaza had plenty of Onions and the two vegetarian dishes were delicious too. There's a very reasonable early bird deal and you can bring your own Booze. Highly recommended.

Food very good when you get what you order.. what I can’t understand is one starter comes with one salad 4 starters come with still one salad..?? not sure how that works? yoghurt sauce must be gold plated in ripon? Every time I ask for 4 portions I still get 2? Still charged for 4 regardless

Really nice food, waiter really took care of us and was a pleasure to talk to and took great care of us. Was busy when we entered. Meat on mixed grill was excellent. We're from Preston but would definitely come again when in the area.

The food was really good best we've had in a long time. Visited here last night 30th Sept unfortunately the service was a big let down we waited 40 mins for our starter. We noticed other customers also waiting a long time for their orders we actually heard some customers asking where their food was, It would appear by the amount of takeaways that was going through the door that the take away orders takes preference over the sit down customers. After waiting 40 mins for the starter we then had another 20 mins for the mains which turned into 30 mins because each part of our main was brought out seperatly rather than together that left our nann bread nearly cold by time everything was served to us. We would have definitely give this a five star if not for the poor service, We would go again but would hope for better service.

Fabulous meal. Asked for no oil for the curry and that wasn't a problem. Bring your own drink but soft drinks are served. Recommended to book. Will be going back

This is a fantastic tile shop, lots to choose from and great prices. They have literally everything you need for your project .The staff are extremely knowledgeable and friendly, Emma dealt with us, she was not pushing at all and guided us to the best products for our needs, can't recommend enough.The after sale service is great

I live in Ripon but previously from Halifax/Bradford so I know what decent curry tastes like. I have had takeaway food from Jaflong numerous times and not been disappointed. The curries are nice and tasty and I would defo recommend take away. Not so sure about dining in though, mainly because the setting is quite small and can feel cramped but suppose not much can be done about that really (almost a victim of its own success!). Either way the food is superb and staff friendly so would recommend.

Eaten a few times from jaflong - either takeaway or eating in. We've never been disappointed. The staff are friendly and helpful. The restaurant is clean. There wasn't a wait to be seated and even though it was busy you were never rushed. I spoke to them about the dishes as im not very confident about trying new stuff and being gluten free. They explained the menu to me and each time ive tried and loved each dish. Its all cooked on site so they know exactly what's in each dish. If you go you must try the mango lassi it's to die for! Would highly recommend to anyone wanting a lush curry.

We’ve had quite a few take away meals from the Jaflong since it has opened, and I can’t think of one where they’ve got it exactly right. However we have still gone back as the food has been very good and the staff always friendly and helpful. Unfortunately our latest meal from there was very disappointing. We asked for a vegetarian option on a meal, and it had chicken in it. The prawn shishlack had very few prawns, and the paratha was just a stodgy flatbread with no real layers. After this even the friendly staff and quirky atmosphere won’t tempt us back any time soon.

We booked a table at 8pm but had to return at 8.30 as they were very busy. The restaurant was non stop. We booked a buffet. The starter was disappointing but a member of our party complained and from then on the food was good. Maybe they could take less bookings then there would be no complaints

Simply stunning,this was my first visit but will not be my last. As I said at the beginning the food was stunning. The staff were friendly and approachable answering any questions I had and it was exceptional good value for money. Well done to everyone involved.

The food is good but its expensive for a takeaway maharani down the road do just as nice food but are cheaper I heard jaflong as better when you eat at the restaurant in no way am I disrespecting them they do a good curry but if I was to order I would go to maharani plus you only have to spend 10 pounds for delivery there. 4 stars from me just alittle too pricey.

Not very good at all - sadly very average. Perhaps don't bother. Btw, no bar here so bring a bottle if you must. Behind the scenes it is rather dirty and run down. Does not live up to its reputation.☹️

Well located maybe two minutes walk from the market square and a stones throw from the cathedral. Very very tasty food, and reasonably priced. Will probably be my go-to sit down curry in Ripon from now on. Bring your own booze which I personally prefer but could be a pain for those just wandering in off the street.

Very nice meal, the starter was really nice along with the main, I had rogan Josh with rice, wife had chicken tikka balti

We popped in on a Sunday, late afternoon, after a walk, just on the off chance of getting a table. They were very accommodating and welcoming and saw to us very quickly. We had a sizzling, mixed starter, which was nice and succulent and nicely spiced. As a main, I had the chicken Karahi, which was also very tasty and well spiced, without being hot. My partner had the lamb passanda, which was fruity and rich, but not heavy. The mango lassi is just gorgeous and a must!! Go! Eat! You won't be disappointed!

Came her twice in one weekend with friends and just been in again with family. Fantastic, tasty food and great service. I was brought up on Bradford curries and this is better than many places in the curry capital. We will be regulars whilst we are living and working in Ripon.

Jaflong is 100% the best curry house in Ripon. It's not even a close battle. Jaflong is miles ahead of Maharani and Moti Raj. I have a desi karahi Indian style and I'm not joking it's immense. It's how curry should be....deep flavours and lots of spice. The garlic pliau is also amazing. The other two are quite average "Indians" (both actually Pakistani / Bangladeshi as jaflong is but not as good). I had my family here this weekend we all love a curry every single person remarked how much better it was than your normal take away stuff. For ages I've felt curry houses in Ripon were quite poor. That has all changed now jaflong has arrived. It's really excellent. Try it.

I have tried a few Indian restaurants across the UK and this one goes down as number 1 on my list. I love trying new dishes and asked the waiter for a recommendation. The dish served was delicious. If I am ever visiting Ripon again a meal at Jaflong Bangladeshi and Indian Restaurant will definitely be where I will book for dinner.

Didn't know what to expect going in as it's such an unassuming place, but this was one of the best Indian meals I've had in ages. Warm, friendly and efficient service and super tasty food. Had the gosht saagwala and couldn't get enough of it (not that the portions weren't decent - they were!). Will definitely be going back.

Jaflong is definitely one of the best Indian restaurants I have tried. The food is fresh , service is amazing and the price is very fair. I will 100% be returning here.

When I 1st saw the 4.9 rating I thought I must try this. Well would you Adam and Eve it they're open on Christmas day when I was looking for somewhere to have Christmas Dinner together. Service is superb. Table service was second to none. The only person who made our favourite chicken pakora sadly passed away a couple of years ago (dearly missed). Well these pakora made my son say these are as good as crazy ladies (her nickname). That's how good the food is hear. Absolutely recommended. 💯 perfect. Should be 5.0 not 4.9. Best curry ever!

Agree with all the afore mentioned, easy on phone order for take away, called to tell us they were 2 mins away. Husband had mutton dish melt in the mouth, my chicken dish was delicious. Was delivered piping hot and generous servings, be sure to try if in Ripon.

We had three different curry’s and all were really good - just the right amount of heat and flavour and all at a good price. Friendly efficient service - all in all we would definitely go again.
