the Ghost Katta Masala was magnificent!

Starters were really good but the prawn tikka Marsala was a bit tasteless and the sauce very watery.

Best in Harrogate. Give them a try You won’t be disappointed.

I’ve been ordering a lamb vindaloo weekly from this restaurant for the past year and it’s been excellent, until the last couple of orders, the food has been awful. They must have changed chef’s as the sauce is just awful and just tastes of chilli powder, with the lamb tough, nothing like the excellent standards they’ve produced in the last 12-months. I shan’t be ordering from them again 😢

Food was poor no taste very watery

Yeah I enjoyed this. They do things differently than otters but that was a positive. Great Bombay Potatoes, lovely big slices, instead of the usual chunks, great sauce.. Good Garlic Chilli Chicken, lots of thick sauce and loads of meat, tikka style, sliced. I asked for extra green chilli’s as I like it good and spicy, they duly obliged. (A few more next time, please 😜).

Usually the Tarka Dall is exceptional but our last 2 orders it was flavoursome but very thin …please go back to your original recipe

we ordered a butter chicken , but they sent a korma, thinking we would not notice.

Food could have been hotter. Also needs better vegetarian options.

I’m sorry to have to write this but our recent £60 order was terrible. I’m not sure if this business has new owners but this was not up to the usual standards. The madras tasted as though out of a jar and not at all spicy, so much so my wife had some, the lamb used was thin slices of leather as opposed to the usual, lovely, melt in your mouth diced meat and the prawn puri had so few prawns we had to add some of our own. Sadly, having used Taste of Bengal for many years we will not be using again

takeaway, was not the best tonight,,,, ordered korma with veg pilau rice and chicken tikka starter,,,, the starter (chicken tikka) was so chewy, got through one piece, like chewing through rubber .. the chicken korma was lacking in taste and again, the chicken was very chewy, the veg pilau rice (normally my fave from here) was such a let down, the potatoes were undercooked, very hard? all in all... tasteless from normally presented.... will not order again on the price hikes that Bengal keep implementing (especially dictating a min order price, which is way above their capabilities to deliver.... clearly)

Love TOB... they always make my Naga Balti extra spicy (when I ask for it) and they're always fast & friendly. Highly recommend.

We order the same two dishes because they have been excellent in the past. Tonight the chips were undercooked and both the Madras and Naha keema dishes lacked flavour, were under spiced and watery. Portion sizes have decreased too. Very disappointed after paying £41.00. Finding that a lot of takeaways in Harrogate water down sauces now

2 days ago I complained that I got the wrong order, went in tonight and explained about the mix up. They apologised and gave me my order free of charge. The food is spot on and the service was excellent, would recommend you have a visit 😀

Ordered through app, everything was fine and cleared, then cancelled 15mins later when everywhere else was shut. Scammers, don't offer a service that people will pay for if you can't provide it. Shambles.

The various dishes were lacking in flavour, all dishes tasted virtually the same and the person taking our takeaway order was unpleasant.

We ordered from here for the 1st time last night 1.3.24 both ended up with really bad tummy all night and today both had chicken dishes may be coincidence but strange both of us were poorly

Food was ok, but the starters that were ordered and paid for were missing, and we I rang the restaurant multiple times they would not answer the phone.

I ordered a vegetable biriyani and chicken tikka masala as I have numerous times before. The chicken tikka was upto standard, but the veg biriyani was missing half the sauce and most of the vegetables.

Food came early it was very tasty plenty of it and the onion bhaji you get two and there massive and probably one of the best I've had for sometime, I would recommend this place and I'll be going back .

Described as lamb but definitely not lamb, refused a refund because a photo can't prove it! Sauce also not correctly made. Simply won't order from here again.

I'll start with the good.. Bengal Starter wasn't bad.. Chicken Tikka was nice, and sauce for both main courses was good. Now with the Bad Lamb Tikka ./ madras was not Tikka style and lamb on both dishes was rubbery and dry..I'be had more chips in McDonalds happy meal and they tasted as they had been cooked once left to go cold and then recooked.. Garlic bread was burnt. Won't order from here again, there are better options available in Harrogate.

The best take away we’ve had in ages. Delivered early and hot, everything ordered was included and it was delicious. Our new Indian GO-TO! A little bit more pricey than others but worth it. Spend the extra couple of quid and enjoy it. Well done Taste of Bengal.

They Don serve you fresh food. The chicken tandoori chicken wasn't fresh and the prawns was rubbery They serve you old frozen expired items. Not worthited at all and just eat even after reporting the matter cannot refund me back my money for serving us unfresh food.

The he curry was absolutely brilliant we had chilli masala and garlic chilli masala. They arrived earlier than the app said so I felt guilty when the delivery driver said he had waited 20 mins!! (Sorry about that) this curry house never disappoints!

If I was on death row and had to choose one last meal, it would be Taste of Bengal's Chicken Naga Balti... absolutely delicious, a good level of heat (with extra naga) and lots of flavour. Or it would be the Naga Tarkari, or Jalfrazi, or Rogan Josh, or Vindaloo... whatever, it would be this restaurant. Highly recommended 👌

The onion Bhaji was burnt and tasted burnt. the chicken balti was very watery also. The jalfreizi was nice and the passanda was nice. The pickle tray was the worst I’ve ever seen. This place sometimes does nice food and other times it’s poor so all very inconsistent. I will try elsewhere in future.

The worst Indian food I've ever had. We ordered chicken korma and butter chicken. Could literally not tell a difference between the two in taste or appearance. They even had the audacity to write different names on each take away container. Both tasted like sugar and milk with a sprinkle of turmeric.
