Very very nice meal, best curry I have ever had in Harrogate I look forward to next time!

It's been a while since I ate here, but goodness... it didn't let me down. Beautiful, succulent chicken, plenty of food, well cooked and a welcoming environment. Makes such a difference. Good value and a top notch local. council food hygiene score too.

Superb food served with a smile. Immaculately clean takeaway. Nothing hidden.

Ordered from here last night & food was spot on. Well cooked, well spiced & quickly prepared for collection. Owner was very friendly & welcoming when I arrived. Portions were decent size with plenty of meat & flavours were great. Best curry I’ve had in Harrogate for a long time. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

First time ordered from masala. Lamb bhuna and rice lovely, and the onion bhajee was amazing. Another thing, they include dietary requirements for gluten free and dairy, no bloating, fantastic! Bit expensive but will be ordering again

Biryani is not very good, onion bhaji is just ok, wont be using again.

First time trying this takeaway, and it will be the last. Had chicken tikka balti, now I have had this many times but never with coconut milk so not very nice. Naan cold, even after me watching them make em fresh? Samosas we’re very small for the price, the onion Baha’i was weird and am guessing bought in frozen. Sorry Masala, but I had to report this poor food one to remind me not to buy from you again and to be honest and hope you change how it’s made.

It’s not often I write reviews but given the absolutely stunning takeaway food I ate recently from Masala I have to offer my huge thanks for The testa sensation I experienced. The service and welcome was nice to receive but the skill and passion that produced the meal my wife and I shared with friends warrants a big thumbs up. Well done to you all for a great job. This really is the best Asian/Indian takeaways food that I’ve eaten and we will Back. Very lucky to have this in Harrogate. Well done Shauna and I look Forward to the next meal. Mark

Great take away. Obviously the atmosphere isn't great as it's a takeaway but service and food are excellent.

Do not use these website!!! Ordered online website said there was an error. They have taken the money I have sent them a picture of the payment being debited from the account. They weren’t satisfied with this and refused to send the food. The then told me to come down and sort it out but wouldn’t agree to refund the delivery. I have been a customer of theirs for close to 20 years and have always thought of them as the place to go for Curry in Harrogate, and order on their website as it is better for them. The customer service or lack of in this occasion was devastating poor. I am beyond Disappointed, but will have to find a new place to order from.

We’ve ordered takeaway curries from Masala for years now. We wouldn’t go anywhere else, the standard is consistently high. They have a superb range of veggie options and always generous portions. We can especially recommend the shahi vegetable masala and any of the biryanis. Great food from a friendly team, so good that despite moving out of the delivery area, we drive in to collect our curry now.

I'm on holiday in the area and fancied a curry. We'll the food was lovely but the bloke who served me tonight was a absolutely lovely bloke. So pleasent , his customer service was so good. Genuinely my small ammount of business I gave that business was so appreciated. Best service ever at any take away and I would even say most restaurants. If they read this then thank you, if we camp again in the area I will 100% come back.

Rubbish, would like a refund due to the fact was delivered to the wrong place, neither was we told it was on its way or had arrived. Very disappointing.

Disappointing to say the least!!! Buy yourself some fresh chicken breast, a jar of ready made curry sauce, Chuck it in a casserole dish in the oven for an hour or so and Bobs you’re Cheaper uncle!

I don’t usually leave a bad review, especially when it’s quite a decent restaurant like masala. But i have been quite disappointed today. I had ordered £40 worth of food from masala, and to be honest I am quite disappointed. The naan bread was burnt, and had rock hard greenish bits in it (which, by the way, cracked my girlfriends tooth). The garlic king prawns contained about 3 and I’d hardly call them king prawns - absolutely tasteless too. The meat was dry as if been left out and heated in a microwave. The chicken tikka masala was cold, and the popadoms taste like plastic. The only decent thing in our order were the chips!!

Soggy onion bhajis, chicken biriyani poor quality lacking taste, poppadoms were undercooked, you could bend in half

Great food, really tasty. We did ask for the healthy option on all meals but the chicken balti was very oily/fatty to the point it wasn’t enjoyed. But other that that was great.

Would of been better if it had more meat.

Little disappointed with this order. The madras was a little watery and tasted watery. This however would not stop me from ordering again, as I've had some delicious meals. Hopefully a one-off.

absolutely disgusting, the worst takeaway curry i have ever eaten (eat the same type every time, madras) Was oily, discoloured, tasted like water, bland and had only 4 pieces of chicken in. Didn’t appear fresh in the slightest and the taste of the chicken that was in the curry tasted very strange. Naan and chips were fine but unfortunately the main course seriously under delivered, Don’t think it’s expensive but not cheap considering the poor standards.

Probably spent well over £200 over the past 2 years from this place. Always had good meals as I always order the same thing (King prawn Dhansak) Tried something different recently.... King Prawn Dhalwali. Ingredients didn't state that it was about 30% onion, I dont like onion so couldn't eat the meal. Called and mentioned this but was told that all of their curries have onion in them.... Well they don't do they? I understand onion is a main Ingredient in most of the meals but.....If you are going to list the Ingredients can you please be a bit more accurate? Won't be using again.

Food is great every time, never a bad meal.

I have been a loyal customer of masala for a long time and given a lot of custom. I have raved about the food to other people and given excellent reviews so I am very disappointed to say I will not be ordering again. The last few orders have been very disappointing. We kept reordering in the hope things would get back to the usual standard but unfortunately this has not happened. Tasteless curry’s. I am paying £8.50 for a veg curry the same price as a chicken curry but there has been very little veg in the curry. One order was pretty much just sauce. The last order was 2 pieces of courgette and a some potato, this is not worth the money. The final straw was finding pieces of chicken in veg curry for the second time now. I told a friend about great the curry’s were and he ordered one and he too loved it but recently, like myself, he has reordered and he to was very disappointed. I sorry masala but you’ve lost a customer.

Excellent service from the boys and Anwar tonight. Our food was ready ontime and cooked to perfection as always. I make a 30 minute trip to this takeaway and it’s worth it every time!!!

Just beautiful food - totally recommend

Prawn on puree was inedible barely any prawns and more grease than a biker festival . The chicken in my meal was hard and dry (obviously been frozen) rice was also very greasy and the meal had more sauce than anything else. No depth of flavour , very poor wont order from here again. If the owners read this I will be asking for a refund, i can however say it was delivered on time.

Popadoms at 75p each were an absolute ripoff. They were the same as the 8 for £1 microwave ones you get from the supermarket

Starters were really good as per, but ordered the same curry I have before, unfortunately this tasted completely different and a little bland. Didn’t enjoy the curry but starters were good.

This is the best curry house in Harrogate. No discussion. Forget Jinnah, forget Cardoman Black, this is the place. If there were an Oscar equivalent for taste, flavour and variety this place would take all three categories. Here's a little game to play, write down your top three curry houses from first to third, take a look at them, then... throw that list into the bin!! Forget them all, call Masala.

Very disappointing Chicken chilli masala. Ordered it as it said a rich thick sauce however came with next to no sauce and just tasted of tomato. Was very mild barely had a kick at all the even with the chillies. We also ordered a pickle tray which didn’t arrive. This cost £2.50 which is very disappointing. We spent £3 on popadoms which were mainly for the pickle tray and now theyre just going to waste as I don’t even have any sauce to mop up with the popadoms. Naan was nice but all in all disappointed and spent best part of £40. Korma flavour was good and plenty of sauce but lamb gristly.

Food was good, would have liked some onion on the sizzler, and some raita for the salad. Big chunks of chicken tikka, we had a separate masala sauce which was very coconuty, I liked it. All hot. We had quite a wait but it arrived on time was obviously very busy

I ordered 3 hours ago. I’m still waiting. No food / no call / no information. I always use Masala but I’ll not use again - 3 hours for an order of one main & one starter is shocking.

2 hours and 40 minutes after ordering we finally got our barely warm food. We tried contacting Masala after the first hour, however, the phone was constantly engaged. Maybe don't keep taking orders if you're clearly too busy to deliver!

Pop jn here a few times a week, they have the best naan breads in Harrogate!

Both the passanda and the goan style dishes were just awful. Neither myself or my girlfriend could eat our meal. Absolutely disgusting. Do not order food from this place. We wasted over £20.
