Very clean premises and friendly, happy efficient staff team. They were very keen to please. It is clearly popular with locals. There is some seating in the informal waiting area (as seen in the photos).

Just ordered a beef in ok sauce and it tastes like beef in ketchup and vinegar - so disappointing. Egg fried rice and prawn toast ok but this really let me down and will be going in the bin Next

Service is prompt and attentive. They have a wide selection and in the various visits, they've all kept a high standard. Fantastic starters.

Nice food and good portion size and a clean front house

We had our first Taste last night and it was absolutely delicious, couldn’t fault it- our dishes were full of flavour without artificial tastes and tons of salt which is my memory of Chinese take aways in the past. We ordered our ‘go to’ dishes and also asked the owner to recommend a couple of different ones-her recommendations were spot on and I now have a new favourite dish!! 10/10 from us!

Absolutely terrible. The chicken was just pure batter and tough. The beef tasted like fish! Absolutely appalling. Really disappointed as we don’t eat out much and this was supposed to be a treat

I want to like this place as it's our nearest Chinese, but lovely though the people are, the food isn't up to scratch. Undercooked batter for the sweet & sour chicken and a most unusual and not very pleasant sweetness in my satay. It could be some time before I go back.

China garden, ordered chicken fried and a special fried rice , the fried rice wasn’t fried instead soggy boiled rice and the special only had beef and few chicken bits won’t be going back

Had a very nice hot and sour soup ,lemon chicken and spicy chicken meal very good value the young lady serving was excellent and helpful

Great food. Beautiful building. Staff attentive and polite, and swift service. We ate duck spring rolls, followed by sweet and sour pork Cantonese style and chilli and garlic chicken all good. I read other reviews but would have to disagree with those who say the food is takeaway standard. We felt the food was tasty, particularly the duck spring rolls, and kept hot with the warming plates. The only minor detail was perhaps the overall atmosphere, but it was such a beautiful building. There is a 10% service charge, but this is optional.

We get a takeaway from Leong Hong most Saturday nights. The food is always the tasty & quickly made. In particular the king Prawn Singapore noodles is delicious- lots of prawns and packed with fresh green veg. Wouldn’t get a Chinese from anywhere else in Harrogate!
