China Dragon in Harrogate

Just ordered a beef in ok sauce and it tastes like beef in ketchup and vinegar - so disappointing. Egg fried rice and prawn toast ok but this really let me down and will be going in the bin Next

First time trying China Dragon yesterday. Excellent! Good ingredients used, cooked well. Good prices and friendly service. Will be back.

First time visitor on holiday around Harrogate - was served by a very friendly and chatty lady. Food was very delicious and reasonably priced. Wish we lived local to try it again...definitely recommend

Been a regular for quite a while, lately the food has not been as good. Last week my usual choice was awful, quite vinigary. Others said the same! Delivery is super fast, maybe too fast if you get what I mean?

This has always been our favourite and recommended to others. The last lot of meals were awful, all very odd tasting vinigary. Hope they haven't got new cooks who are not up to standard. Will give them a miss for a while.

Decided on Sat night takeaway - buoyed by the recent good reviews we read - BUT terribly disappointed. Staff were excellent, very friendly and patient but the food.... oh dear! The chicken and sweetcorn soup was very sweet (I rather fancy it was made with added sugar and as I am diabetic this was most unsuitable and the soup had to be thrown away). So too was the crispy seaweed. Who adds sugar to crispy seaweed??? The meat products in the mixed starter were dry and far too overcooked. The crispy shredded chicken was neither shredded nor crispy and the main course was lacking flavour. The saving grace were the 'free' prawn crackers!! Don't think we'll risk another visit.

King’s prawns were just medium prawns, chiar-siu at chief’s special were just dry rashes and it is not the same. One over-salty, another with no salt at all.

I like the food so much here that I drive past 3 other Chinese takeaways on my way to collect. Never had a below-par experience from here.

China Dragon is our local Chinese down the road, We have only ever used another in the area once as China Dragon was closed however we always keep coming back as the food and service is always top-notch, Staff are friendly and the food arrives very fast, Had so many over the years and never had a bad one yet which is more than can be said for other takeaways in the area

A family takeaway, delivered exactly at the time we’d ordered for. The team always give a friendly welcome, are happy to accept customisations and deliver great service. Portions are very generous and the quality of the food never fails to impress.

Once again! Hot delicious food and huge portions. Ordered the starter for 2.There was so much there that the box couldn't close properly and they covered it with a paper bag..Special Fung yoo was exceptional and the king prawns included were definitely king prawns! Will continue to order as delivery driver follows instructions and never any problem. Thank you. 😊

This is the best chinese takeaway food we have ever had! Everything is fresh, tasted "homemade", chunky fresh veg and delicious! And not mass produced and pre prepped. The biggest best pancake roll i have ever had! Everything was beyond perfect and as the managers of Harrogate caravan park we will be recommending to all our campers! Lovely friendly owners and perfect food couldnt ask for anything more.

Ordered 1/4 crispy duck with pancakes.. Perfection. Also beef chow mein.. Huge portion. All perfectly cooked. Beef, broccoli,carrots, onions, spring onions,beansprouts and noodles.. Just try for yourself! Great service and food thankyou again.

Just had the mixed grill. What a disaster! None of the meat was edible, cooked within an inch of its life, liver was only fit to sole shoes, asked how i would like my steak, well to have some would be nice, tiny over cooked piece with lump of fat attached to it. Dont know how they have they decency to send this out and charge for it. Total rubbish!!! Thank you for the refund, and your genuine concern, i really appreciate it.

Ignore the bad reviews whenever we have a takeaway we always use China Dragon on Woodfield Rd Harrogate , it really is the best Chinese Takeaway in Harrogate. The food arrives piping hot every time. Staying in Harrogate for Bank Holiday weekend in our motorhome and fancied a takeaway. So pleased we choose this one. Fantastic delivery, friendly service and beautiful food, (and hot too). We ordered the Happy Meal and it was delicious. Highly recommend.

Most of the food was good however the chow mein wasn’t up to scratch, the praw toast came mushed in the box the ribs didn’t have much flavour how ever I must say the duck was excellent

Just revolting. Duck in Plum Sauce. Horrible chewy duck. No discernible sauce. Dreadful “ fried rice”. Who are these people? Never had such a dreadful meal.

I generally never enjoyed Chinese meals till discovereing China Dragon. We have never had a bad meal and would say it's restaurant quality. The prices are great as well. Highly recommended.

This place in my opinion is the best Chinese in Harrogate, I had food last night and it’s always a delight. what has happened used to be amazing. Prices gone up but food worse. Ribs inedible and dry. Barely any duck in the duck dish. Dry chicken wings, salt and pepper chips were just plain tasting. Even rice not great 33 pounds of not even hot...

Once again China Dragon produced a stunning banquet for us.. 21st birthday celebration. Superb food, excellent quality, delicious and plentiful. Thanks for making it a special night for my daughter.

Unless you're part of the "UK Chinese Take Away Olympic Relay Eating Team" then I'd suggest sharing dishes as the portions are very generous as well as tip top tasty! Delivery is included and well worth waiting in for!

We fist found The China Dragon on Woodfield Road in Harrogate about a year ago. It is the best Chinese in Harrogate 5star food rating. We have never had a bad meal here yet.It is delucious food lovely friendly staff.They deliver or if you want to go up you can park right outside.I can.t recomend China Dragin enough they are the best we would not go anywhere else for a chinese takeaway!!!
