The Golden Harvest in Harrogate

What has happened? This used to be an excellent take away. The rice was hard, the pancake rolls were tasteless. The vegetable chow mein was edible. Such a disappointment. UPDATE-I was encouraged to give this take away another try and after receiving excellent customer service, I did. The food was delivered hot and tasted lovely.

Expensive and eaten better Chinese food than this. To improve make sure you update all menus and wall menu with new prices sooner

Always had good meals from here very tasty and hot when had a delivery, the food portions and price are very good compared to other takeaways I have had which are dearer with smaller portions. Will always use and highly recommended 5 star food

Used this takeaway for a long while, stopped using as had disgraceful service. Left a good few weeks to write this as could not believe the way we were treated. Our takeaway was late so I called to be told by a very arrogant man that he had delivered to our takeaway to our door an hour before himself...we did not receive this he told me that he had delivered to us but could not describe our cars in drive. He than put the phone down to speak to someone in background blatantly called me a liar saying we had recieved it and eaten it. Would never order from here again. Dreadful way to treat any customer never mind a regular supporter off this buisness

We always order our takeaway Chinese from here on the rare occasion we get one. The food is excellent. Great price and the delivery is very quick and when it arrives the food is red hot. The salt and pepper chips are amazing my favourite naughty treat they are fresh and tasty. I always gets black bean aswell fresh prawns 🙂🙂 Fully recommend this local friendly Chinese

Since the beginning of the lock down restrictions, I have used take away services more often and wished I have used the Golden Harvest earlier as all the meals had delivered promptly, as a result the meals are always hot and delicious. What a great chef and team in the Golden Harvest, deserves my support and praise evertime! Thank you Golden Harvest for making my lockdown less stressful.

We always order from here for Chinese and honestly can't fault it. Time after time food is hot, delicious and very reasonably priced. We usually get chicken curry with egg fried rice and shredded chilli beef. Superb!

The best Chinese take out ever. Now I've had some take outs from all over. But this place is incredible. A magical haven to be, with amazing customer service. And quality food at an amazing price. If you have not been to cast from here. I suggest you do. I'd travel miles and miles just to order this food. I'll be back.

My husband and I are vegan these guys go above and beyond to make us yummy food. Nothing is ever too much hassle.

Called in for a quick takeaway as my regular takeaway was closed. Very quick polite service although I’m not 100% comfortable with a small child taking my order. The food was a generous portion and quite tasty but very very salty. That salty that it would put me off going back. Cut down on the salt and I think you’d be a front runner for Chinese takeaway in Harrogate, just my opinion obviously.

I've tried them all in Harrogate and this one does the best noodles and rice, very very good value for money too.

Service is very fast and the food is of a good quality. There is a reasonable vegetarian selection and the staff are polite. I find this take away to be an easy way to enjoy an inexpensive and tasty Chinese meal.

Veo el chino de comida congelada van subiéndose en semanal para dejar la comida, así que es un poco de un regalo? ! !El servicio puede ser un problema ya que las llamadas de teléfono pueden tomar un tiempo para ser contestada a veces.En general, hace lo que dice sin embargo si buscas cocina oriental fresco y sofisticado, entonces posiblemente busque en otro lugar. The Golden Harvest Takeaway is the best I have ever witnessed. The food is delightful. The service and staff couldn't be any more accommodating. I will always eat my Chinese food from here.

Good hot food with an amazing curry sauce, but are rude with a couldn't care less attitude on the phone when it is finally answered.

I ordered from Just Eat (an external website) because the phone number on the restaurant's website did not work. Afterwords, Just Eat provided me with a correct phone number so I called and confirmed with the restaurant that they got the correct order. The woman hung up twice.When the food came (on time thankfully), I did not receive the sides that I ordered and they added fries and shrimp chips that I strangely did not order. No chopsticks or fortune cookies either!The food had little smell and tasted very bland. The sauces were very gooey and mediocre at best. I also found a small hair in one of my dishes.Overall a terrible experience. Belfast has hundreds of other Asian restaurants so eat elsewhere!

We like the food here- they do the best salt and pepper chips in harrogate! Only problem is it seems to be an absolute nightmare when ordering for delivery/paying over the phone. To the point where I have avoided ordering all together.

Having had many a chinese meal from here, but we've also tried the many thai meals too... and they were just as delicious :0)

I come here often and had a few bad meals in the past but knocked it on the head I tonight had a beef curry with egg fried rice and the delicious salt and pepper chips but tonight they wasn't delicious Infact they had very little seasoning they was very dry and very bland looked like they had been reheated several times my beef curry was full of peas which it normally doesn't come with as many peas it looked like they just poured a school lunch on my plate onions wasn't cooked peas was hard and reheated the beef was nice and tender but only compliment from my disaster of a meal I wouldn't normally complain like this but after ringing 5/6 times and refuse to answer not good customer service

No hay nada especial y como en todos los otros chino en Harrogate. La comida está recién preparada y los precios es similar a cualquier otro sitio.

We live local and order from here often, the food is good and we have never had an issue with any meal, delivery service is a real help if you are entertaining.

The family was well pleased with the food , service was great . If ever back in area will use again.
