Wonder Food in Harrogate

Ordered 2 hours in advance. Over 45 minutes late. Don’t use them

Easily by far the best Chinese in Harrogate that we've tried. Their salt and pepper boxes are amazing value for money, crispy duck never fails to impress and quick delivery. Better pricing ordering through their own website than just eat but would highly recommend.

Ordering online - problems thought paid online but wasn't the case! Delivery driver was very rude and intimidating leaning in and shouting, couldn't understand what he was wanting me to as I had no cash, thinking I had paid online! Spoke the the lady in the shop which was very kind and apologies for the driver and gave us a discount! Food was not brilliant the chips were over cooked then tastes like they had been reheated and the egg fried rice had no egg and was very sticky Was very disappointed and too feel intimidated at my own front door, will be trying other Chinese in the future

Usually the food from here is fine, but since we ate their food a couple of nights ago my partner and I have been ill. Literally straight after eating it we had stomach pain/problems, it was covered in absolutely loads of salt and the meat didn’t taste right. Won’t be ordering here again

This used to be our go-to Chinese up until about six months ago. Not sure what happened (whether it’s changed hands?), but the meat in most of the dishes is poor quality. Ordered duck and pancakes; mostly fatty skin! Singapore noodles, different taste and gristle throughout! The chicken balls, odd taste. Anyway we gave it a few chances, but the rude reception my husband received upon pick up was the last straw. Back to the drawing board!

Normally a nice takeaway, disappointed the ribs we ordered were very dry and hardly any meat , the chips were stale and just overall dry and tasteless

Have had special Cantonese noodles for quite a while. However the last two have been very disappointing. Gave it one last go but no more. Portion smaller quality of ingredients poor. Shame. Lost a regular customer

Ordered chicken foo young and chips. Never again!!!!! It was cold and very dry. Chips were hard

I ordered beef Cantonese noodles and if didn’t taste fresh and was boiling in parts which suggests it was microwaved. The batter was raw on the inside and slides of the fried chicken balls. Chicken tasted rubbery and the sweet and sour sauce was stone cold.

Ordered online, nothing over fancy from menu, but it was nice to call for it and it was ready and waiting. The food was plenty and very nice. Will use again. Thanks

We like it always order and pick up is really quick we like the starter's and order loads and we like the noodle dishes we will go back soon

Always great food from here but the batter on the salt and pepper chicken has changed! The batter is light in colour, really soggy and flavourless! Its not nice at all! will order one more time to see if it was just a 1 off ... but unfortunately if it’s not will have to find a new chinese :(

They are our favourite Chinese fast food takeaway. They always serve you with a smile. And incredibly fast delivery. Food is brilliant. Love the fortune cookies. Keep it up.

Paid for egg fried rice, sweet and sour chicken and prawn crackers, didn’t get egg fried rice instead normal and no prawn crackers. There was also a long grey hair in my rice.

Had a flyer recently and thought we’d give it a go. Plus points, not bulked out with a lot of onion, plenty of King Prawns, taste was nice enough. Negative, had to ring up twice to find out where it was, 1st time told it was on its way but rang again as it didn’t arrive in the time we would have thought it should. It finally arrived but we could have walked the distance the time it took the car to get to us. When it finally arrived it was luke warm. Don’t like to microwave king prawns as it over cooks them. We don’t mind waiting, just tell the truth when order booked as to how long it will be and deliver it at a good temperature!

Ordered a few different dishes and sadly non were overly spicy ,the curry wasn’t or the chicken honey and chilli or the salt and pepper chips or vernechelli ,the staff were phone friendly ,food came in good time but wasn’t hot and no free spring rolls was hoping for a bit more flavour but nothing tasted bad .

Best chips in Harrogate. I’m not a massive fan of Chinese. I prefer Indian as it has more taste. However, sometimes I get the special egg fu yung with some chips and it’s delicious. The chips we just fantastic. Freshly cooked, crispy and plenty in a portion. Staff are lovely but always extremely busy. Tried all the Chinese takeaways in starbeck ( my wife likes Chinese) and this is the one we always go to.

It serves good food and it's cheap,I live in Boroughbridge and I get my takeaway from there and it's still hot when I get home

Well.first of all I’ve had to wait almost an hour and a half to receive my two portion of food.delivery driver put the phone down on me when I tried to explain where I live.noodles was still hard,dry undercooked,beef tasted like a week old frozen beef,vegetables was undercooked,the only thing was ok is the prawn crackers.never ever using these take away again.

With so many to choose from, this chinese take away is one of the nicer ones, the food is always fresh and delivery is quick regardless of how busy it gets.. their menu is large with so much choice, yet to have a poor meal from Wonder food....

Best Chinese in town, I refuse to go elsewhere, food is always excellent and on time if not way before schedule. Will definitely be returning!!

We use 1 of 2 Chinese’s in Harrogate, wonder food and sunrise. I personally think they are both beautiful. Compared to other Chinese takeaways this is the best by far. Good food every time, decent delivery time and you get free spring rolls with every order!!! Highly recommended

Crispy prawn wontons had no prawn in them at all so they were just empty balls of soggy pastry :( rand restraunt and they said they were meant to be like that. £4.00 for soggy pastry. I won't be ordering again

Used this chinese after a recommendation and was pleasantly surprised! We werent expecting much considering the price but it has been great every time we have ordered from them!

i ordered a portion of spring rolls and a roast pork chow mein with curry sauce for delivery. I was told it would take 40/ 45 mins which was fine. However 10 mins after placing the order the food arrived. The spring rolls were at best luke warm. Now onto the chow mein & curry sauce! I took the lid off the curry sauce to find it was almost solid and not hot at all. The chow mein was çold so I rang & expressed my feelings to which I was told the boss would come round which he duly did. He told me it was my fault the food was cold & it had taken him 10 mins to get to my house! So therefore how can a order be placed & cooked thoroughly when the boss said himself that it had taken 10 mins just to drive to my house? He didn't offet to replace the order & gave me the money of the cost of the chow mein alone! I asked him about refunding the money of the curry sauce to no avail but also had to ask for a refund of the delivery charge. Safe to say I will not be using this establishment again.

I got chicken chow mein and it wasn't very saucy. I really like it when it's saucy.

Made an order and had to wait an hour and a half for the delivery when the take away is maybe a 10 minute drive away. I'm very disappointed as I have always experience brilliant service from here. However the food was great as usual!

Chicken satay skewers were a bit chewy but the sauce and the rest of my order tasted great. Very speedy delivery. I was shocked at how quick. Good value for money.

Probably the best chinese in the area. The food is awesome. A good amount of veg, balanced sauces and plenty of meat. The delivery takes a while but its probably because they are busy, but its well worth the wait and we were told how long we would be waiting.. which was spot on.
